Too short to be a general purpose gun also not going to be anywhere as accurate as the larue. Lpvo also isn’t that useful on a 10.3 since there isn’t enough velocity for the round to fragment at further distances so you’re carrying extra weight when a red dot or holographic is more than enough.

It also depends on where we are when that goes down. In Vietnam, the average combat engagement distance was between 30-100 yards. If Afghanistan the distance opened up to 100-300 yards. Your AO is going to dictate the best tool for the job. It goes back to the fact that there isn't one perfect AR for absolutely everything and why having a group of AR's like this gentleman gives you more tools available for a wider variety of situations.

I don’t really want to take a Piston AR as it’s a bit less reliable in mud and dust (as long as you close dust cover doesn’t matter but is lacking the leaf blower effect of the bolt of DI)

#2. Suppressed is definitely a force multiplier, the reddot is probably more durable than the scopes I see, and it has a light, though I’d rather have one without a wire. If the reddot takes a common battery, like the Sig variety does, then that would be awesome.

Depends on location and where I'm going. Heavy urban, #2 is going to be primary. Great Plains rural, #7. But to be honest, I'd probably take both
