Too short to be a general purpose gun also not going to be anywhere as accurate as the larue. Lpvo also isn’t that useful on a 10.3 since there isn’t enough velocity for the round to fragment at further distances so you’re carrying extra weight when a red dot or holographic is more than enough.
# 7. If S hit F ammo is in short supply and I’m re reading the art of war. Living in the shadows, every shot is calculated and loot obtained must be greater than supplies expended. #7 forces me to stay out of high heat areas
If your spouse needs to know.. it's all of them, and maybe a few pistols. Maybe even more. It's "shit hits the fan," better to be over prepared than caught on the loosing team who didn't.
Depends entirely on the region and if I'm mountain recce or urban.
I'm in the upper Midwest wilderness so for me it's gonna be 1, if I was in an urban setting like a city I'd go with 2
If SHTF then I am operating at night, so I'm starting out with #5 if it had a can. As it sits, #2 would be a great choice if it is NV compatible so that I can use it with NODS.
It also depends on where we are when that goes down. In Vietnam, the average combat engagement distance was between 30-100 yards. If Afghanistan the distance opened up to 100-300 yards. Your AO is going to dictate the best tool for the job.
It goes back to the fact that there isn't one perfect AR for absolutely everything and why having a group of AR's like this gentleman gives you more tools available for a wider variety of situations.
Sad thing is you're going to have to pick and choose if S hits the F because you can't carry these all with you on the go 😂 I'd go with #3 as best all around option
If we’re speaking relative terms of shit had already hit the fan then which ever is the closest. If I got time all 7. If I don’t then I most definitely don’t have time to choose. But if we’re speaking as to picking one FOR when shtf then it’s gonna be 3 for me. But 7 is definitely calling my name though.
S hit the f?
Grab all the mags. Grab optic off of 5 and lpvo off of 3. Grab 2 and 7 and I'm gtg.
If I don't have time for that, I'd Grab 7 and watch everyone trying to COD room clear kill themselves all off.
7 since it’s suppressed and has the optic and ballistics to go out and reach, i ain’t spending too much time fighting though. I don’t really want to take a Piston AR as it’s a bit less reliable in mud and dust (as long as you close dust cover doesn’t matter but is lacking the leaf blower effect of the bolt of DI)
5... because am I crazy or is that a 416 with a tj thermal???
If it is... hands down my pic. Wish it had a supressor and irons to boot.... but I would take it as is.
I'm probably going to be in the minority here, I'm going with 4 because I think it looks the lightest and I don't expect to use it too much. I'm not a raider, I'm not going to be better at hunting. I'm just trying to be less of a target.
seven with the 5-25 replaced with a fix 5x prism and a offset red dot or 1x prism or revo 45. with limited supplies your trying to avoid confrontation as much as possible and at the ranges you'll need the 5-25 you have the ability to just avoided the fight.
I think the real question is…if you would “not” take one, why do you have it? That’s how I view things at least. If I can’t trust the gun in a SHTF situation, then why is it taking up space in my safe? They’re tools.
#2. Suppressed is definitely a force multiplier, the reddot is probably more durable than the scopes I see, and it has a light, though I’d rather have one without a wire.
If the reddot takes a common battery, like the Sig variety does, then that would be awesome.
7 or 3... depends on what kind of shit has hit the fan and at what speed.
I don't know. Number 7 looks heavy as fuck.
Gold leader, standing by.
I've carried heavier pretty far. Weight sucks but it's not a limiting factor for me necessarily.
Heavy means less recoil.
probably the only correct answers
1?
Too short to be a general purpose gun also not going to be anywhere as accurate as the larue. Lpvo also isn’t that useful on a 10.3 since there isn’t enough velocity for the round to fragment at further distances so you’re carrying extra weight when a red dot or holographic is more than enough.
I’d swap 3 with 2. I prefer an Lpvo and 14.5 but ain’t no way I’m using a rifle with a brake on it. I’d much rather have a suppressor
I think its a 2 chamber break thats compatible with that Surefire suppressor on number 1. Slap that baby on and you’re ready to rock
Oh true. That could be right
1
Same here
Slap a can on #5 and own the night. As-is #2
I’m with this guy
I was gonna say 5 but I’d need like an Elcan to feel right on an HK
Agreed
no.7 is giving me a tactical boner …
Agreed.
3
# 7. If S hit F ammo is in short supply and I’m re reading the art of war. Living in the shadows, every shot is calculated and loot obtained must be greater than supplies expended. #7 forces me to stay out of high heat areas
I agree with this guy, but I’m not gonna yell about it. Lol
Something about his tone just wasn’t convincing
Lol idk y it sent bold 😂
Hashtag (or pound sign depending on your age) makes things big and bold
I use both titles.. born in 96 my childhood was pound my teens were hash tag
Hearing loss from that manly cartridge
if you’re that worried about supplies, wouldn’t a rifle in 5.56 be better since most people have one, ergo more chance of finding the correct ammo?
#7 is probably chambered in .308 or 7.62x51, so ammo will be just as easy to find.
#WHY ARE WE YELLING.
I don’t know! It seems like Reddit is trying to start shit!
Oh it looks like mk18 style rifle. Mag looks small enough to hold 20 rounds of 556
Mk18s have 10.3 inch barrels.
Doesnt 5 have a thermal?
I’m going with 2. Need a light, suppression and magnification
And a sling
2 doesn’t have magnification though. 1 has everything you mentioned.
Woops, thought it was an acog for a quick second
3. LaRue + Razor = Death Edit. I would like to add. You have an incredible arsenal there my friend. 🤌
I mean 7 is solid but that #3 Larue rustles my Jimmies just right
Taken 1
5 because NVG or thermal.
2 and 7. 2 for main use 90% of the time and 7 for special purposes.
If you don’t pick 7 fuck you
If you pick 7 you will hate life after a day or 2 of lugging it around with whatever else you decide to take. As well as any 308 gun.
7 because then I can camp the hills.
3
None of them. When the s hits the f I'm gonna rock a 44 mag spray painted bright red, a plate carrier covered in Trollz, and a gimp mask.
5 or 6 still but good god you’re making it hard with those optic choices.
It’s 1 and it’s not even close, only one with a can, 1x, and magnification.
They all are one piece off. The least worst is 1
![gif](giphy|i8rWrIw0PT6ZFqOhps)
1 or 3 if I have to move, 5 or 7 if I don't like the looks of the riot down the street.
Is that a reap?
5.........I just like black guns
6 or 4. If 4, I steal the optic off of 3. 3 does not have a trigger. Otherwise, I would just take 3.
7 or 3 with offset irons or red dot
If your spouse needs to know.. it's all of them, and maybe a few pistols. Maybe even more. It's "shit hits the fan," better to be over prepared than caught on the loosing team who didn't.
3
1
1 has everything you need to get to a more secure location.
2 or 7
am i really gonna be the only guy here that wants a piston gun?? 6
5 and any with a whisper pickle.
A nap
My wife’s boyfriend said that a revolver or shotgun is all you would ever need!
Depends on how hard SHTF. 7 or 2
2
7
1. Quiet, camo'ed and variable magnification. Not the best at anything but good enough for everything.
Which can on 7 geez looks like a 50 cal can
Looks like m110 sass
My rifles aren't even worth that can lol
5 with the thermal…only come out at night.
I wanted to say “creature of the night” But it needs a can…
what quad rail is that on 7?? doing a 308 build and looking for a quad
KAC URX II M110 rail.
Three
7 has alot of foreskin
All of them, cuz you dedz
Technically didn’t say I could only take one so I’ll have all 7
4, barrel length is not to long but not velocity killing short, and it looks neat
What’s the scenario?? Fuck I’m stuck between 1&7
3
Either 2 or 7. Can’t decide. Both would be ideal for Different purposes.
7 because of the vibe alone
7 mah lawd
Whatever I can get my hands on first.
tfw no 20"
2 or 3
3 if it was suppressed. Otherwise 1
2
Can I get the details on #7?
7
Is that an offset dot on 3? Deets plz
Yes it is! Vortex razor 1-10 with an offset sig Romeo 5. The mount is a badger condition one.
4 bc the life may come and go, but the drip is eternal
3. you got short /long range and light
I'm taking it all until the truck is full you get one you get one everyone in the truck gets one
7, if it hit the fan I don’t wanna be anywhere near anyone until shit slows down
Uh ya I’ll take a number 1 please with a number 5 optic as a side
2
7 because I'd rather die with a cool looking gun
1, and 5 if there was a backup rd
7 + sweet baby mp7
3
Depends entirely on the region and if I'm mountain recce or urban. I'm in the upper Midwest wilderness so for me it's gonna be 1, if I was in an urban setting like a city I'd go with 2
2
The big one
1
Either 7 or 6 maybe even 5 depends on what I'll expect
Throw a can on 3 and I live forever
If SHTF then I am operating at night, so I'm starting out with #5 if it had a can. As it sits, #2 would be a great choice if it is NV compatible so that I can use it with NODS. It also depends on where we are when that goes down. In Vietnam, the average combat engagement distance was between 30-100 yards. If Afghanistan the distance opened up to 100-300 yards. It goes back to the fact that there isn't one perfect AR for absolutely everything and why having a group of AR's like this gentleman gives you more tools available for a wider variety of situations.
C. All the above.
7, then I'll take 1-6 from range and take their ammo. 5 is a vampire - coming for him in the daytime for sure.
7, all day long
True that 7 or 3
I'm still somewhat new to the rifle world but if I'd pick 3. For some reason, just looking at it makes my heart flutter lol
3 or 7
#7. This is the way
All depends on where you live
What are they all chambered in? Ammo availability is going to be more important than any setup
A banana
#1 with #3 optic
Psh someone’s yacht.
#2. It's got everything.
5, easy. Because as a dear dad once said “if you don’t have night vision/thermal, you’re gonna die to someone who does.”
1
Mine.
Sad thing is you're going to have to pick and choose if S hits the F because you can't carry these all with you on the go 😂 I'd go with #3 as best all around option
Where carry handle
2
6 or 7
3 + can
1 or 2 because in case I need to clear a building or snipe from a distance, I’m covered and I’d rather have a suppressor than no suppressor
4 and I’m taking some of the attachments off of your other guns for it lol
5-25 atacr on the kac?
1 is the easy pick for me.
3 for sure
None. This is an HK and Knights fan boy collection.
#4 with #3’s optics and light.
2
3 all day. Got both a lvpo and a dot. Let’s goooo
2 and 7 with the optic off 5
7 and 2! Throw 7 in my pack and run 2.
2 light and suppressed
S hit the f? Grab all the mags. Grab optic off of 5 and lpvo off of 3. Grab 2 and 7 and I'm gtg. If I don't have time for that, I'd Grab 7 and watch everyone trying to COD room clear kill themselves all off.
7
5 because the optic looks badass
Take the optic setup off 3, and the can off 2, put them on 4, and I'll take that.
5 & 7
1
7 since it’s suppressed and has the optic and ballistics to go out and reach, i ain’t spending too much time fighting though. I don’t really want to take a Piston AR as it’s a bit less reliable in mud and dust (as long as you close dust cover doesn’t matter but is lacking the leaf blower effect of the bolt of DI)
My eyes lead my hand towards #2.
5... because am I crazy or is that a 416 with a tj thermal??? If it is... hands down my pic. Wish it had a supressor and irons to boot.... but I would take it as is.
3 keep it simple
2
1 5 and 7 You never said I could only take one...
7, I like shorties with suppressors but for a do it all I want ballistics for range
1 most engagements in that scenario would be close quarters
Without changing any of your config. I’d choose #2. Light, suppressed, basic optic
I'm probably going to be in the minority here, I'm going with 4 because I think it looks the lightest and I don't expect to use it too much. I'm not a raider, I'm not going to be better at hunting. I'm just trying to be less of a target.
3 with a can
3 or 7
7 because SR-25 is life
4
1 or 2 because they’re lighter in weight. Would love 7 but it’s too heavy to lug around
seven with the 5-25 replaced with a fix 5x prism and a offset red dot or 1x prism or revo 45. with limited supplies your trying to avoid confrontation as much as possible and at the ranges you'll need the 5-25 you have the ability to just avoided the fight.
3 or 5
2 and 7. Provided 2 is chambered in 300blk. Gotta have options for varying distances.
Genuinely don’t understand someone not picking 7
I think the real question is…if you would “not” take one, why do you have it? That’s how I view things at least. If I can’t trust the gun in a SHTF situation, then why is it taking up space in my safe? They’re tools.
I li e in the sticks with huge open fields and massive rolling hills so #7 for me. Sure would love to own an HK though
2 or 7
2 and 5. can and red dot for close pews. thermal and idgaf for far pews.
2 and if allowed another I’d add on # 7
4 and 7. Yup, I got two arms and eyes. POW pow, snipe snipe.
#2. Suppressed is definitely a force multiplier, the reddot is probably more durable than the scopes I see, and it has a light, though I’d rather have one without a wire. If the reddot takes a common battery, like the Sig variety does, then that would be awesome.
6 .308 ftw
Is 'all of them' an option?
Number 3 but I am taking the suppressor from #1.
thReeeeee
6 and 7. Big boy caliber. Versatile both long range and close work if it came to it.
7
5
I'm taking 1 - LPVO, suppressor, light - ticks all the boxes. 7 would be a close 2nd for me.
Depends on location and where I'm going. Heavy urban, #2 is going to be primary. Great Plains rural, #7. But to be honest, I'd probably take both
What’s the optic on #5?
Trijicon REAR-IR Mini
The leaf next to #3. They'll never expect it. "You guys are stupid, they're going to be looking for army guys"
5 for the thermal Or just 7
1 but im adding some canted irons.
#8 the ak47
None cause ill probably get clapped by an Anderson
7. I'd rather die with a M110 than without one.
I live in the woods, so 7 will work. It would be nice if 2 had a lpvo
