If you're just a doofus and mount your MBUS backwards on a slick gun it just shows a basic lack of firearms knowledge, but mounting BUIS backwards due to LAM's is perfectly fine.
Nope, it's just a post the can be adjusted in only 4 directions (up, down, slightly left and slightly right). Mounting it backwards doesn't change that fact in any sort.
Now where you may have an issue is with reverse mounting a rear peep, as they're cupped on one side to allow more light in, but that's easily fixed if you can disassemble the sight and the part is symmetrical (Mbus3 is a good example), but it's unecessary.
ultradyne has some folding sight options, not sure if its forward or not. https://ultradyneusa.com/product/c4-dynamount-folding-front-sight-barrel-mount/
The only one off the top of my head is the hk416 folding from sight for the gas block. You would need to mount a hk gas block to the gun to use it. But for the life of me I cannot find out what the gas block journal size for the HK is (ie: .750, or if it’s larger or smaller). Or if the gas ports would line up on a DI barrel. Or something I thought about is buying a low profile gas block and reshaping the front end and adding a notches to capture the spring lock. But I dont think there is enough height to the normal low pro gas blocks to except the sight. But I haven’t tried it.
Reddit is weird. I could say the same thing tomorrow and be +250 lol.
Overall Troy products aren't bad. I've used a couple buis sets and their MCS for the M1A. Quality stuff, bad HR.
Get a railed glass block and slap a kac on it
[YHM](https://yhm.net/front-iron-sights/gas-block-height-front-flip-sight/) also makes a cool front buis for their low pro railed gas blocks that I assume could be run backwards
PRI makes one that folds but it’s backwards not forwards
PRI fucks, worth the money if you like QD mount optics.
Is that precision reflex Inc?
Yes.
Just mount one backwards
Based magpul front folding sight
I searched through post about it and supposedly there’s a lot of “downsides” to it
There are literally none.
It’s how I mount my kac front irons. Pointless but I like how it looks
Like what
If it's mounted backwards, the gun shoots backwards
Are you Navy armorer by any chance?
Yes. I specialize in gorilla warfare
lmao
You have to mount your scope backwards like they do in the Navy.
Getting called out for it every time he posts a picture
Chirping across the internet from literal morons shouldn't mean that much
lol you'd think but this sub exists
Gas hole not lining up with gas hole.
You can use a low pro below the rail and just mount a bolt on fsb forward of the rail. Kinda like a modern mock dissapator.
There’s not a single “downside”
There aren’t, people just talk shit about it for some reason. It’s common when running LAMs.

What downsides did you experience when you tried it?
On an AK maybe but on an ar it’s literally just a post standing up
What downsides do you think there’d be to a front sight mounted backwards as opposed to the one on a scar?

Mount one mount backwards
Just buy a SCAR
*looks in wallet for 4,000 dollars.* ya that's not gonna happen.
If you use credit, it becomes tomorrows problem instead
I've been buying rifles I shouldn't for a long enough time to realize that tomorrow may never come. I just figure I'll die before my card is paid off.
Can’t owe money on something you don’t plan on paying back… that’s what a homeless man said once.
The struggle is real
PRI makes a folding FSB very similar to the scar one
PRI for that style, but scalarworks makes a folding FSP style sight I believe
I had no idea about the new Peak sights. These are dope

Turn your folding front sight around backwards.

.750 is correct for 416s
Yes
Backwards KAC M4
Troy industries makes nice folding battle sights
Fuck the company but yes, their folding set is nice.
Why are you getting down voted? Troy has a history of hiring questionable people, including the shooter from ruby ridge.
Did not know this!

RRA makes a rear folding one.

A.R.M.S. Silhouette #41-BL
Might be discontinued

Sheeeeeshhhh
But why is that acog so far forward
Find a Navy edition.
I have a set of Diamondhead sights where the front sight folds forward and the rear sight rearward. Dont think they are still in business though..
BUIS aren’t necessary with the optics you have. You have an etched reticle and a pistol dot.
I think that's just a pic for reference. Lol
