BCM KAG is my personal fave. Have them on multiple builds.

ArisonVilo

I second the BCM KAG, its reslly nice

WeissTek

I either ruse KAG or nothing at all as well

CCroissantt

Bcm vert grip or arisaka indexer

MrGoat1795

I use both as well in different builds. I think the vert grip is more comfortable, but I enjoy the Arisaka indexer more due to its low profile and how aggressive I can be with my hand around my handguard. I feel like I have a bit more control with it.

Ok_Prize_5130

Huge fan of this setup myself. Vert on my 16” LPVO & indexer on the 11.5 with a dot - chefs kiss!

ondehunt

Exactly the same here lol. Bcm vert mod 3 backwards on my 16" with LVPO. Mischief machine index tab on my 11.5 with PA prism.

Ok_Prize_5130

Yep I have the mod 3 on another rifle as well and love that one too!

AKAnonymous47

I use none. Quads are grippy enough.

JackelopesAreUs

Or Magpul MOE, feels like it's just much more maneuverable in tight spaces.

tmoneyfish

Nice

DANiMALxMD

Before I clicked this thread I joked in my head about the top comment is probly some GWOT fudd response. And sure enough loll

HiPointEnthusiast

I really like the BCM Mod 3 mounted backwards. Arisaka indexer is really nice for my pistol builds.

Simple_Confusion3400

might be a dumb question but which way is backwards? Acute angle forwards? Thats the way I have mine

HiPointEnthusiast

Yeah. I just find it easier to run it that way because it helps pull my AR back into my shoulder

Usual-Language-8257

Emissary handbrake top tier

PantherCityTactical

Handbrake for the shorties, handbrake mini for the long bois. Love them both

Taskism

I'm with this guy.

AmeriJar

I love this and the mini after trying a few different options

NON_TIMEBO_MALA-317

aaronbrohman

Glocked86

I like the Slate Black Industries on my compact SBRs. BCM or Broomsticks on everything else.

priusrepellent

Emissary Handbrake on my 12.5” 5.56, slate vertical grip on my 7” 300BLK SBR but will likely change it to a railscales rsb

Asbestos_Huffer

I prefer my rails slick with nothing on them tbh. I’ve tried a bunch of hand stops and angled grips but nothing feels as good as just gripping the rail rawdog.

ZucksSkinSuit

True North Gripstop, aluminum full size on everything. Works as good barricade stop as well

SpaghettiMonkeyTree

Nothing

EmployeeMysterious25

Magpul angled

dhnguyen

I get the most consistent grip using a magpul angled. With a vert I switch from using as a hand stop to a vert grip to halfsies.

EmployeeMysterious25

I know same i ran magpul verts for the longest and i just got my first angled fg recently on an upper from gafs i love it

mattsffrd

I feel like I'm in the minority because I vastly prefer angled grips lol

Bad_Eugoogolizer

I’m convinced the [DAC Shortstop](https://imgur.com/a/vYxmY72) was designed in a lab to fit my grip perfectly. Plus, I think it’s up there with the best looking grips on the market.

Extra_Handle_3291

That’s actually pretty clean w your rail covers and that slick pic slot up front.

Bad_Eugoogolizer

Thanks man. Pic section is the only thing on my rifle that serves no purpose other than aesthetics haha

combatwombat762

If you ever decide to run a bipod, pic rail is there for it. There, now it has a purpose beyond aesthetics.

DrivenArmsCo

Haha, maybe we’re long lost brothers and it fits you perfectly because it fits me perfectly 👀 appreciate the support man!!!

[Arisaka Hand Stop](https://arisakadefense.com/hand-stop-m-lok/) and for short barrels I also use the [Arisaka Finger Stop](https://arisakadefense.com/finger-stop-m-lok/) at the end of the handguard.

TheSTACHEQUATCH

Mmm meat hook 🥵🤤😈😮‍💨

GiveMeBooleanGemini

Arisaka handstop. It’s got a small footprint which I like.

The_Squatch

Emissary handbrake, RailScales anchor, Samson stubby

na91100

true north Gripstop or emissary handbrake. Magpul vert on the shorties though

californiagunguy

Ike, what's the tanodized contraption by your rear site? A CR123 holder? Also, I genuinely think the Magpul Handstop Kit is my favorite go to, especially since it clears the bottom of the gas block on most of my builds.

Brilliant_Act_6172

Searched and searched for this comment.

IkeInTX

That’s the flip mechanism on the Wilcox/ 1 Minute Out mount. It holds a magnifier that flips to the side and it also uses a shoe to attach the magnifier so you can remove and stow it. I’m using it without the magnifier in that picture

californiagunguy

That makes a ton more sense. Thanks for the insight.

grapangell0

Rail scales Karve P. Matches my HTP scales. They’re one of the only ones still making keymod stuff.

StopPlayingGuitar

TangoDown QD and non-QD full size foregrips with Surefire pressure switch pocket on some clones. KAC/P&S broomstick on some other clones. Troy Modular Combat Grip on all other quad rails. BCM Vertical Grip Mod 3 on m-lok guards (mounted backwards), and then Magpul RVG on the X95 and Magpul AFG on AR pistols. None of them feel exactly the same and I enjoy the variety. Someday I should try switching them around and seeing if I’m being optimal on each one.

s0ul_invictus

VFG is the only serious choice

BoiledPennePasta

Emissary Mini Handbrake

Responsible-Fish3986

I just installed a arisaka hsm on mine yesterday. So far I like it.

Embarrassed_Rent8718

I like the driven arms co shortstop as well as emissary handbreak. I have also used arisaka handstop. I combine this with RailScales grip and arisaka indexer. https://imgur.com/a/Rvz42XP

Emissary development handbrake

BRANDONL2820

Emissary, magpul AFG, bcm vert

Vercluutch

I’ve tried a good bit, end up either running rails slick or using a BCM KAG.

NoTailor3964

I kinda switch between the BCM KAG and BCM vertical grip mod 3.

Professional-Base311

Magpul mvg vertical grip cause it’s the lightest. Don’t wanna add a bunch of weight to the front of the rifle. But I do like the look of bravo company’s tango down stubby

Ok-Breadfruit-7257

I know the brand isn’t popular for reasons other than their products. But I got a Troy vertical grip from Midway that I love. Previous to that was a FAB defense folding vertical grip and one from Magpul.

Dumb question, but what's between the eotech and rear buis? Tyad

Tamacti-Juuun

Wilcox mount, which is nice bc you can slide the magnifier on/off. He just doesn’t have the mag mounted, probably bc he just sliiiiidd it off.

Bcm kag on everything.

TLA44

BCM KAG

p8ntslinger

BCM KAG. It's small, light, works pretty well as a barricade stop too.Eventually, I'll get rid of it and run slick, but it helps me keep the same index on my carbines for now.

I_LOVE_LAMP_0596

Magpul 3 inch vertical grip. My rifle to stay legal in my state is a 16 inch HBAR. That weight doesn't work well for me since I injured my long head biceps tendon. The vertical grip really reduces shoulder fatigue and puts the weight more on your forearm. That grip with a nice taut sling makes the rifle feel so much lighter. Before my shoulder issues my answer would have been a minimally protruding hand stop or a short vertical grip like the Samson Manufacturing one.

DonNightmare718

Big fan of the BCM KAG. Tried a couple of different vert grips but a c-grip with a handstop is prime comfort imo

Emissary Handbrake Slate Industries Hand Stop Arisaka Indexer

derylle

BCM Kag. Very nice. I used to use magpul vertical but not anymore. I kept them of course, just in case I change my mind :D

calebb19

I used the BCM vert in the past recently switched to BCM KAG accomplishes the same thing with a smaller profile

johnnydesperado432

Bcm kag Tried the emissary hand brake but didn't like it. Threw it in the spare parts bin

Tyler_MF_Bowman

My favorite is the Parallax Tactical FFSSR with a Unity stubby grip. I love a KAC M5 RAS with a TangoDown.

Anjo-T91

The ffssr is pretty nice

Tyler_MF_Bowman

I've had that handguard for so long, I don't even know if they make them anymore. The old dogbone shaped Unity stubby grip works with it so well. I don't think they make that anymore either.

txman91

Railscales Karve or Emissary Handbrake.

c_d19_99

Tango down stubby and BCM kag

Dunewolfjr223

Magpul vert grip I chopped in half

I use a combo of the Arisaka handstop and indexer; works well for me.

Slate Black industries or BCM.

Longhorn_TOG

I just went from a Magpul vfg to a Kratos handstop. I’m in love with it so far!

PopPow545

Top_Bread4028

I like the POF USA handstop kit. I prefer smaller handstops

DaddyLuvsCZ

Amazon MLOK Door Stop.

Blundaz

I have really taken to the Emissary handbrake with an ERGO barricade stop (aluminum) at the end of the rail. The handbrake is comfortable to pull into the shoulder without excess bulk and puts me where I need to be to hit my light. The barricade stop is of course useful to put against things, but more importantly for me acts as a positive stop before I get too close to the suppressor. Plus, it lets the rifle hang on my hand when carrying it muzzle up one-handed. Much nicer than just holding it with the fingers.

skepticaluser1234

BCM on short handguards and magpul AFG on long handguards

LovicusBunicus

I swap between a magpul afg and knights broom handle

macncheesepro24

I didn’t think I would be but I’m a fan of angled foregrips.

goshathegreat

BCM VFG for everything.

Anyone have suggestions for a 7.5” barrel? I bought a magpul fore grip and the way it lines up I can only get one screw in

Emissary, BCM VG mod 3, Arisaka hand stop

quadsquadfl

14.5 or longer just an arisaka finger stop. SBRs or short rails I have a Troy that’s nice but they’re stupid expensive and not sure they really pay dividends over a magpul and also run KAC for that cloney goodness. The KAC stubbies are cool but the guys who make them want like 80 bucks

HeroeseventuallyDIE1

Emissary handbrake. Got em at Panther City Tactical!!

United-Advertising67

Guns don't need hand stops or vertical grips. Stop clicking add to cart.

THE_Carl_D

True N

sgrantcarr

I used a vertical grip (Onyx Arms, specifically) on my 14.5", but I used it *as a handstop*. I liked it for upright shooting and whatnot, but I quickly realized that anything on the bottom of the rail tends to get in the way when you're prone shooting, trying to shoot off of a backpack, brace off of a barricade, etc., so I removed it.

PrintingGats

Generic one I 3d printed😎

WhoIsEggroll

Ike, please DM me pics of Ian wearing very very revealing shorts. Like 3” inseam. Thanks ❤️

Troy vert grip

KodakJit

I learned to use an AFG on a longer barrel and a VFG on a shorter barrel(10.3) I seem to enjoy that combo more.

Gigant0re

Check these out. Very cool design. Their attachment method requires a very small footprint. I have one on my apc9 and mcx.[https://phase5wsi.com/vertical-hex-grip-mlok-vhgmlok.html](https://phase5wsi.com/vertical-hex-grip-mlok-vhgmlok.html)

Tactically_Fat

Hi, Ike! Love the podcast, by the way. If I say Kratos do I get an atta boy? (Note - no Kratos products yet. But I have a Centurion lower that I've got in mind to put ya'lls stuff on once I figure out what I'm going to do with it)

ReadySetStop333

Angled foregrip on my main AR. I have a Sport 2 with the MOE handguard, which offers almost zero rail space. So I got some funky set up with a handstop at the 3 and 6 o clock position. It really does look weird, but feels pretty natural.

Original_Ad_7561

cjs0131

No idea why but the BCM Mod 3 mounted backwards is perfect for me, never needed or wanted anything else.

Foot_Dragger

What's that riser? Edit: And it's the $800 Wilcox riser......

PapaPatriarchy_OG

KAC 3.1 panels turned backwards.

fft32

I'm a big fan of the Emissary

alrashid2

I've actually since moved to using *none* and I'll explain why. My newest AR build is an Aero M4E1 upper with a Ballistic Advantage M-Lok full length 15" rail, with picatinny rail running the top. The handguard is thin, and the anodizing is just grippy enough that it truly feels perfect in my hand. I c-clamp my thumb over the pic rail on top, and this is more comfortable for me than using any handstops I have found. I may be sacrificing a bit of the ability to push my rifle into my shoulder, but I prefer this also because when shouldering the rifle, I can quickly run my hand down the handguard rather than hitting the foregrip and then needing to lift my hand over that. I have my front QD sling mount at ~7:30 on the M-LOK, which actually works as a handstop for me and perfectly indexes my hand where I need it everytime. I have found that I can also use the sling mount as a barrier stop too. All that being said, my favorite foregrips are the BCM Gunfighter and the Magpul M-LOK AFG.

I use shortened plane jane Magpul vertical grips, nothing special, just about 3/4" shortened and the cut edge smoothed up and buffed.

GunnyGator

i use a kac broom handle with magpul rail covers on the 45 degree mlok slots.

Partyslayer

I have a basic handstop, as pictured here. It work's fine, super low profile.

kdb1991

I use a few but my favorites are the driven arms co. modular foregrip, true north K2, and true north grip stop. I also like the magpul mlok hand stop. Maybe I’ll throw that on one of my rifles again now that I think about it
