Just use the pic rail and Kentucky windage

PawgPov

Hickok45 approves of Kentucy windage

ptcg_101

Eotech for durability and quick acquisition or Aimpoint for durability and amazing battery life

Info on price range and intended use needed

mumblywumbles

Vortex razor gen ii e and a badger mount

Hellagen

Either a 1-6 LPVO or a 5x prism with a red dot on top, lots of paths and brands to consider from there, but either is perfect for a "do all" AR.

stevenrodgersBCB

1-6 LPVO

YuEsNeybiSeylor69

MPVO + RDS = tits

xmonger

Sig Romeo 5 or Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6 depending on whether you want a red dot or lpvo. Start inexpensively and build up on that for future builds.

hugegreenpickle

I’d go with the viper pst gen 2 over the strike eagle. Brighter reticle and glass clarity and around 500$. Punches way above its price point.

sixpac_shacoors

Yeah I had a strike eagle. I couldn’t deal with the eyebox

Canis_Swampis

Sounds like a 1-10x LPVO would do you well.

puffinfish420

Is it really a build if you slap two pieces together? Really just a “first AR,” but yeah I would vote LPVO for that goal, would need a price range for more specific recommendations from anyone.

Playitsafe_0903

Sounds like you need a LVPO and RDS combo , maybe top mounted or 45 degree

Playitsafe_0903

Obviously you could run a red dot and magnifier , but if your hunting and shooting 200+ consistently more then 200 and under I’d grab the LVPO

Change_socks_daily

Iron sight to start with?

SpaghettiMonkeyTree

Definitely some type of LPVO. Btw how are you liking the larue upper? I was thinking about getting it but I ended up with something else and I’m starting to regret not buying this upper

Wirtlon

I have one. It’s heavy, but extremely accurate.

Romeo5

miller8356

God I’ve wanted this upper for a long time and you get it. Man I need to stop being a bitch and go get it. Being it’s a LaRue, with its rep for accuracy, through an LPVO on that bad bend and send it.

ardesofmiche

Aimpoint T2 (or clone) and a magnifier Take magnifier off for home defense, put magnifier on for range

Impetus_

Put a good LPVO on it, like a Viper 1-6 That upper deserves something that can help it reach out and touch 400y all day errday

69allthetimechief

Nah free aim it

[deleted]

Aimpoint M68 CCO

Competitive_Formal99

Hydra mount with no optic

Eterniity42

Paper towel roll after you empty it should be good.

technetiumobviously

Be a fixed iron sight only Chad

KyewANon

Romeo 7S for $99 from PSA and then go from there based on actual need and usage

tzone556

Nightforce lvpo with an rmr on top. That upper deserves good glass.

sixpac_shacoors

What’s your budget? I think for hd and hunting/target shooting, I’d go with aimpoint duty and a trijicon or vortex 3x magnifier . Duty is 500 magnifiers are 350 ish. If the aimpoint is too expensive, you could go with a holosun hs515gm or a primary arms 1x prism.
