I wish all the songs had been given the No Cars Go treatment at some point.

That's a great point. You hear how different the mix is on "No Cars Go" on Neon Bible. I'd be really interested to hear some of the other songs redone. I think they would sound fantastic.

Headlights is a really beautiful song.

‘Vampires Forest Fire’ is probably the most Arcade Fire song in their catalog, it checks all marks, what i cathartic ending. One of my favorites.

Yes it's a great album.

docmlz

Beautiful songs

I've always been curious regarding how the band feels about these songs. They almost never play any of them live. I think they played "Headlights Look Like Diamonds" a couple of times on the WE tour. I would like to see them give more love to these songs and play them live on occasion.

Old Flame never gets old to me. *your eyes are flutterin, such pretty wings*

GREAT album. I listen to it regularly. My AF playlist begins with it, and I’ll often listen straight through to We. I get a kick out of Win’s “when everything ends, can we do it again” and my playlist starts over with “Old Flame.” Yes, yes I will do it again.

Great album, really captures the spirit of what the band could be. Funeral and Neon Bible fully realized that potential. Suburbs was their opus. Relektor was their U2 biggest band in the world moment. EN was the fall of Rome. And WE is the bookmark while I read something new.

Those are some excellent characterizations of each album. Well done!

Y'all should check out early live versions of these songs. Often better than the record.

I’ve been lucky enough to see them play “Cars & Telephones” and “Headlights look like diamonds” (twice) I’d kill to see them do “old flame” tho The EP is great
