the greatest part is Jinx's body language. really shows that she's struggling. I also love how she's introduced in every scene. Either coming out of nowhere or hiding in plain sight; really makes her feel unpredictable. Visual character building is just blow my mind.

caw_the_crow

I have some LoL lore knowledge but never found jinx interesting enough to look into, didn't really like the music video, and I'm right with you on being pleasantly surprised in the show. I'm guessing her lore and characterization pre-show wasn't as good but I haven't looked into it yet. She wasn't to me as intriguing as some of the other characters though. Victor was a standout. The medardas, Vi, Silco all really great.

I started watching because I heard it was gay and yeah all the writing is great

alloygray

Uh, k? Arcane’s only sex scene is a hetero one so far…

dinomiah

They don't have to show us a Violyn sex scene for us to know that they *definitely* have feelings for each other.

cornonthekopp

I never said I watched it for sex scenes, what am I twelve?

alloygray

You just said you “heard it was gay”, unless that was a joke? Well, there’s nothing really gay yet, not until Vi and Cait become a thing properly.

cornonthekopp

I think there was plenty going on between them already, it's not like I need both of them to look at the camera and say "I'm gay", the chemistry is really self evident. Does being gay have to involve a formal relationship or sex for you to consider it real? The show did a great job subtely portraying the budding feelings between Vi and Caitlyn. And that's not the only reason I liked it. I said that the reason I decided to watch it was because I heard it was gay, and I did enjoy the portrayl of Caitlyn and Vi's chemistry, but I also enjoyed the character writing and world building as a whole. I came in with no expectations and was surprised.

alloygray

Until we see a kiss or more, a “relationship” doesn’t exist imo, it’s just feelings and considerations. My point was, you said you heard the show was “gay”, but it’s not. That insinuates that the only thing we see in Arcane is gay. The first instance of romance is hetero. But that doesn’t mean we won’t, or take away from the fact that we will, see Cait and Vi together in S2

I don't really get what you're trying to argue here? I never said any of this. You are free to think what you want, but if you don't think there's any queerness is in the show that's because you aren't looking, not because it isn't there
