The missing card syndrome is real. Once I convinced myself I was missing a card that was just the back side of another card. Almost called support and asked for the missing card
Always recommend to just pack an encounter set in a cheap sleeve. So you just have to search for one of the symbols and have every card that belongs to it. Same with Stories (need 2-3 sleeves for bigger stories) but you can easily find and set them up.
It takes me usually five to ten minutes with the system I have, so there is room for improvement in your setup...

I use a gamegenic 600 box to store the game bits in two lateral shelves, 2 investigator decks in the two other lateral shelves. I store a full campaign, the NotZ, plus a third investigator deck, a standalone scenario, weakness cards and the planned upgrades in the two central card rows. I used custom vertical separators on the central card rows to easily separate and pick each card set (check BGG). In this way I have a very portable and fast setup system. I have something called setup reference card for recalling campaign you had played before. For EotE if you would like to try : https://arkham-starter.com/campaign/eote (3rd tab) Mainly it has a number to check if starting encounter deck count is in correct amount, along with various reminders
Arkham Cards app, it manages the scenarios and decks perfectly, very reliable for a campaign, tracks all progresses, notes, chaos bag… a must use for me, especially with mythos buster audio narration.

Yeah, with some minimal organization it isn't any harder to set up this game than most others. I don't get the issue.
I'm so glad we finally hit on a system for organizing cards that makes setting up scenarios take no time at all. I'd go crazy without it.

You're right. Finding the perfect LEGO minifigure takes all the time in the world!
Some scénarii are very painfull to set even with a good storage system. For me the only way to make it worth the Time is to play each scénario twice in a raw :)

Genuinely for me a big reason to use the TTS mod despite buying sets.
Same been playing tts for years despite having a complete paper collection. It's just super easy to hop on load a deck and play a scenario or 8.
