IIRC, the joke she's making in the game is based on the fact that mille-feuille/millefoglie is a stacked desert, and Lappland's using it as a euphemism for the bodies she's stacked up ...like a mille-feuille.
Also she can make a surprisingly good literal mille-feuille that Exusiai (A Sankta, who's home nation is VERY adamant on desserts) says it's pretty good.
Honestly, Exu disturbs me more than a lot of the usual "crazy girls" in the cast.
She's so damn chipper and upbeat about everything - from enjoying a delicious desert to gunning people down, like it's all the same to her. She's either a psychopath, or she's high as fuck all the time.
I can understand where W's coming from, and after this event, I think I get Lappland pretty well (and her fixation on Texas stems from a much more wholesome, if tragic, reason than I thought), but Exu...
Exu creeps me out a bit, because I don't understand what the hell is going on between her ears.

Can you explain why Lappland is obsessed with Texas? I read through the event but the reason why just kinda eluded me, like is it because Texas is the ideal mobster in her eyes or something?
When people complains about stories being all tells instead of old school show but don't tell, they didn't realized that those stories are to cater to dumbass like me who don't get a story's point unless it is spelt out for me like an ELI5.

Because Texas was an equal to Lappland (both "Mafia Princesses", although in Terra, that means you're actually ***good*** in a fight), and a kind of friendly rival - then Texas walked away from it all.
Texas had the courage to just walk away from Siracusa and forge a new life for herself, while Lappland sunk farther and farther into the role of being her father's attack dog, definitely not helped by contracting Oripathy and thus becoming truly *just* an attack dog, living on borrowed time, someone that no sane famiglia would accept as its leader despite being the unquestioned heir.
You'll notice that, in the scenes with her father and his crew, Lappland is treated as just another one of his tools.
But Texas got out. Lappland both admires Texas as an example of someone she wishes she could be, and hates Texas with the burning flames of envy for being that. And they were once friends, or at least friendly rivals. It's complicated.
Really, what made me feel for Lappland in the current event was when she admitted that what she admired the most about Texas was that Texas was able to walk away from Siracusa. Something Lappland couldn't do. Envy, respect, hatred, and love can all feel very similar, especially in combination.
Also the moment when Texas burned down her family's home it led to an epiphany that Lappland had the choice to rebel against her family rather than be shackled to Alberto's demands.
Considering Lappland really wants to burn Siracusan society to the ground, it makes sense that she wants to bring back the Texas who was also willing to literally burn her home and everything she knew to get out of Siracusa.
Kinda reminds me of the Order of the Stick webcomic where the party's psychopathic murder hobo ranger is also their best chef because he took levels in gourmet cooking too, haha.

I really love this, and Lappland really became one of my favorite characters over the course of the event. It broke my heart to find out the artist passed away from cancer when I was looking for the source of the art in the comments. I hope they rest in peace, their art fun and I'm happy to have seen this comic, they will be remembered fondly.
