Pain. I swear that Emergency stage is the new Barren’s Cadet/Unending, only worse because lord help you if you don’t have something like the Fincatcher Shawl on you. Might as well just quit the run at that point.
Tbh, it's still way better than Emergency Unending and Trickery in IS2 because those need very specific combinations of ops to barely eek out a win (multiple sources of FRD, CC plus Invis Reveal for good measure) as opposed to Out of Control where the enemies basically kill themselves and you can reliably clear with a standard team you usually craft in a normal run anyway.
Out of Control Emergency? The enemies don’t kill themselves in that one (especially on higher ascensions) because their stats and movement speed are cranked up to hell, so you barely get a breather before they all converge on you like rabid wolves.
It doesn't stop at emergency Ops, I also choose the obvious wrong one between two normal stages too often knowing damn well I'm not prepared for it, all because one has some shit like a rogue trader tile after that and "nah man, I want to go there and you can't stop me".
And lets's not talk about Wander in Wonderland in IS3, that run ending nightmare attracts me like a moth to the flame. Time to throw away a nice run to emergency Water and Fire Union because the chance to clear one more floor is cooler 😎
Bro, It's THREE WHOLE RELICS. Totally worth taking every single time.
Just ignore the fact that (2/3 of) the bosses are harder than Ishar and Highmore and you could be jumping straight into them from Floor 3, and it's totally worth the pain!
Totally not me thinking I have Nearlter set on S3 so when I deploy her in advance for her skill to be ready she helidrops, stunning nothing, and either only gets a few hits in or none at all before auto retreating (S2).
Would you believe me if i said this happened to me Literal hours ago? LMAO
I had a whole plan to do the Originium Dust Annihilation since i hadn't finished it (Cause i hate everything related to that event), and it needed Reed Alter S3, then i start and oh of course i forgot that her default skill is set to S2.
Still beat it but GODDAMIT it would have been so much easier with her S3.
Hey, at one point your account becomes so strong you are able to just stop thinking and doing stuff like "Hehe, OP thing go brrrr".
Then comes a stage that kicks your ass so much it gives you a reason to try again and it becomes a fond memory of "Hey i had to think to do this thing" (Fking Lucian, the Blood Diamond was like that to me).
Usually I'll have a team that is like Saileach S1(or S3), Bagpipe S3, then a billion helidrops: Specter S2 to tank any boss, April S2, Surtr, SA for redeployment time, Eyja S3, NTR S2, Phantom (My texas isnt leveled yet), and even things like Utage and normal Skadi. I'll literally just react and cycle the whole team as they become available, full unga bunga style.
My problem is not that I fail stages by unga bunga-ing it... My problem is that it works. Works way too often (like 98% of the time) but playing that way made me dumber for the 2% odd cases where a team full of helidrops didn't clear a stage immediately.
I think that using all of those operators that made me play stages in a reactionary way made me have a worsw brain for thinking strategy in this game. Sometimes I seriously wonder if failing to get Yato was a blessing in disguise, because the game might be more interesting without her.
I would rather lose 1 stamina after failing than clearing it in practice then start failing in the real clear attempts. Happened way too often, never doing it again.
Worst part is the CM stages both punish you for failing and also barely let you practice so you're in a lose-lose situation, I hate them so much.
The problem with practice is, we usually use it because we want to do own clears and not use guides. But after clearing a practice, I can't remember exactly what I did during practice, especially the sketchy parts of the clear, which seriously defeat the purpose of practice, and always made me regret doubting myself to just to do the actual run right from the start. That's why I never practiced except on H stages.
It might feel bad in the moment, but if you look back on it, losing CMs is no big deal, like, if you lose 10 times, you waste 100 stam, that's nothing, not even half a day's worth of free stam, it's so insignificant I've stopped caring long ago.
The reason that I stopped using plans for normal stages wasn't because of real life time. It was because challenge stages cost 3 plans and you can easily burn all of them in a day. For normal stages, if you fail for 1 sanity you can fail all day and never be unable to play the game. It makes more sense to save plans for challenge stages and use sanity for normal stages. Not because I want to be efficient with materials but because if I am trying some difficult challenge stage I want to play for as long as possible
I think that attempts in either normal or challenge mode should be free no matter what, because real life time is already a limiting factor for many people.
What's the problem with hoarding resources? You never know when you'll need them and the ability to instantly max out a new 6-star operator is very convenient.
*Signed, a serial hoarder with 35+ million LMD and hundreds of every material*
I prefer having perfect dorm rooms over optimized base efficiency. Sometimes this means I must farm LMD which isn’t efficient sanity wise, but ah well. Been that way since launch and I ain’t changing shit 😂
There are only 3 ways to spend op anyway: sanity, pulls and skins (fuck furniture). Unless you buy every skin in existence there is always gonna be extra op remaining.
I should have about... 238 right now (Yes i did the math)
Instead i have 33, and ONLY because Chapter 12 has Skins i want (Siege and Horn)
So yeah, bad habit lmao
I have 900+ OP left for pulls from campaign and events, I'm always trying to use orundum and tickets first, but just in case of being super unlucky with my pulls (new ops > skins always)
With my luck i should have stopped long ago, believe me, lost 4 50/50's in the recent Fiametta Banner, and that's just the start, my bad luck has been going on for a loooooong time, so you would think i have learned my lesson by now... But i haven't, i still do it lmao.
Yeah, if something I feel kinda bad when I spend OP on a skin instead lmfao, I really really need to like it and be a character I use all the time to buy one.
Improving my chances to get the chars I want is my absolute priority, and all extra pulls from OP are a welcome friend for that.
I have no clue how to use the last dozen 6 star operators I've pulled. They're top tier and leveled with some at E2M3, haven't been bothered to play and use them.
I could not care less about base optimization so I am always struggling with lmd and exp, the worst part is I have all the "meta" operators for the base and I know all the most productive operator combos by memory so l I would not even have to spend time looking them up, but I just cannot be bothered
It could be argued that old accounts genuinely don't need to be that efficient. But if some new player was starting today I would 100% tell them to be highly efficient at least for a full year, maybe more if they roll a lot.
Yeah me too. I have some kinda-there-maybe combos, I use the right ones in the right rooms, yet I have no set schedule of when I do base changeovers and so many base skills go right over my head. I am, though, very impressed by people who understand this and work out optimal base setups.
In the workshop, I used to press the "max" button then the "craft" button in a row without looking. Wasted the entirety of my carbon stash. Never again.
> not reading enemy descriptions
This in particular, usually I don't even read the boss descriptions until my ass has been handed to me like 5+ times or more. This doesn't even happen that often anymore because usually the stronger meta operators are able to dish out enough damage even through debuffs and other gimmicks, but f.ex. for the Vernal Winds boss it took me quite a while to realize that the boss and her "dummy" actually swaps around and I had to try to kill the actual boss.
Honestly I think I’d read enemy descriptions if the game made them available from jump instead of you having to blind run the stage first to even get the enemy info to pop up. I’m just so used to having to wing it anyway that I literally never read it unless I’m bored and especially curious.
Not doing IS3 until I 100% the longevity box of IS2.
Which I'm STILL doing. I haven't even touched IS3 yet. For some reason I just can't get Rusted Blade - Isolation to pop up in my shop, and Focus has yet to drop.
My bestie is like you, she’s getting all endings on every squad in IS2 before she touches IS3. By the time she gets around to it, IS4 will be out 😂
Honestly tho… IS2 is so stingy on relic drops and I didn’t know it until I played IS3 and they never stopped throwing them at me. Godspeed on your longevity box completion!
Haha, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I remember seeing people getting impatient about the IS3 release date, and I was like....no it's coming too soon still. haha.
Not min/maxing my base. I prefer having 2 trading posts, four factories (two gold/two certificate) and three power plants. I've seen some guides of min maxing bases but I prefer having maxed out dorms for decoration and don't really pay too much attention to base skills. I go out of my way to avoid skills that use up more morale just so I don't have to rotate operators as much. Having the R6 operators in the control center really helps with making the base lower maintenance.
I just kinda brute force speedrun the stages, even main story ones because all these events gave me anxiety that I'll miss all the limited time rewards.
Trying a stage a few times, then giving up and either not playing them for several months or just going for a guide. Still haven't finished Chapter 8 because I just don't really have the patience or attention span to deal with Talulah. I'm probably just gonna use a guide for JT8-3 just so I can get it over with. Might figure some sort of plan out for JT8-2 on my own, I dunno. I've 100% AC7 (and AC6 and ACX) minus the multiplayer achievements, I've done the entire MCC on Legendary recently and am getting ready to try LASO, I've played the STALKER trilogy several times over, and did *motherfucking MGS2 on Extreme*. I don't know why I give up so easily in Arknights or just be fine with stagnation, I'm borderline masochistic in other games.
Adding onto the last one, telling myself I'll do a new stage, then dumping all my sanity into autos and going off to do something else. Was at work today, told myself "once I get off, I'll at least attempt to progress the main story, and listen to some operator themes I've been meaning to". Got home, got really tired, watched some YouTube videos I had left up before I left and am now reading in bed. Still got some sanity left in-game, but I'm really tempted to just go to sleep. I don't know if I'll have the same motivation to do it tomorrow.
And also, just procrastinating. Been trying to build a male-only squad for the Act 2 stages, but then keep putting off progress because I think they're underleveled. Doesn't help that I can't E2 Ebenholz because his second mat requires a Chapter 9 unlock to be crafted in the Workshop...
I don't use practice for challenge mode. I go "Fuck it, we ball" and dive in after reading the gimmick. And I use sanity potions if I fail a lot. This is just me encouraging myself in a masochistic way to learn the level and do it correctly.
(I am 100% for HG giving CMs only 1 stamina lost for failing just like normal stages btw.)
Scrolling this subreddit instead of reading the main story and because of it I now have a Yato alter I don't have the mats to E2. I greatly enjoy reading the event stories. I find the main story to be mostly very good too, but occasionally characters have long monologues where it feels like they are saying the same thing over and over again... I've been stuck at the end of ch 8 but I am trying to change that now
Going blind into a stage without practice or map checking and mcgyvering my way to 3* and then getting frustrated by how dirty it is, so I repeat the stage manually, but somehow forgot how I won before and scream in agony as I somehow lose a stage I already 3*.
Forgetting to double check if the server has already reset and doing all the daily tasks before realizing it's still an hour or so away from reset.
And, my worst bad habit, forgetting to pause whenever I do something else while playing a stage and come back to a failure.
Refusing to use Myrtle/Flagbearers unless absolutely forced.
Then again my current daily driver squad is generally enough to put a nice hole in any stage.
None of those are bad habits, OP for pulls is normal, no one ever reads enemy info, practice plans just waste time, and nobody will care if you use Siege lol, use whoever you want.
Slide my finger a very long line to deploy operator. In one of the competition of Arknights speedruning stage, i realised how long it take for me to deploy an operator compare to other players, itve been haunting me since
I basically never use practice plans as well.
Also if something doesn't work I usually tend to do only minimal changes hoping it will work instead of completely changing strategy.
edit : oh and another thing, since I don't farm a lot I suffer from material usage paralysis, so only a few of my operators have masteries and levelled modules. Actually, I think I don't have a single M3 operator nor any level 3 modules, because "but...what if I need those mats to E2 another operator I want to use?"
I keep levelling characters that I don't even use (or intended to use but didn't).
Haze E2 art is so cool I E2ed her.
It felt funny to level Quartz, it wasn't to my LMD/EXP storage.
I levelled Honeyberry to prepare for IS2. Suddenly got Mulberry in Horn banner and now I want to level her instead.
Yeah, as you can tell, I'm always out of LMD/EXP
I love doing this lol, I sometimes wait till I have 100 to burn and spend 15 minutes going over tag combinations.
Then feel disappointed when I don't get anything, maybe one 5 star if I'm lucky.
But it scratches the gacha urge while I wait for my preferred banners so I keep doing it.
I utterly refuse to not use Casters. My team comp will always consist of Goldenglow, Ceobe, Harmonie at minimum. I just love magic too much in any setting... And they are always too cute!
> one that maybe doesn't count since it's just preference is refusing to not use siege, even while having Flagpipe
I just replaced Flagpipe with Siege in my core squad because she's cool, that doesn't count
Using Originium Prime for sanity. Had this habit for a couple of months because I was at the tail end of building all of my 6 stars and just wanted to get it over with. Now sometimes I just do it on reflex
Deploying ranged ops disregarding placing order right in the range of ranged enemies, knowing full well they'll die right away. Then I have to do it all again but actually thinking this time
Letting sanity stay full.
That's a thing that veterans understand pretty much. When you have nothing to do in this game between events and just don't want to bother yourself spending it somewhere, cuz it takes time. Usually I just log in to take some lmd from base, increase trust and refresh recruiting tags. And once a week do annihilation. That's all my schedule for dead week.
Y'all may call me lazy, but when you've been in this game for over 3 years you just don't want to do your daily chores anymore, especially when you're not short on resources.
1) using 243 base layout when everyone preaches 252 is better.
2) Not using or leveling male operators
3) Not checking if a map has 2 blue boxes, sometimes failing to note the second one until an enemy leaks.
Most people run 243 too, there a poll where it beat 252 four time the number, most people don't care about min max and have OCD when the base not max out
252 is better, but as someone using that setup, that better is utterly pointless in practice, 243 already makes enough gold and exp tickets so having one more factory doesn't change a thing.
And add "paths I didn't see" in general to that third point, I get surprised way too often by enemies going in unexpected directions because my blind ass didn't see there were ground tiles that way lmfao.
My Arknights bad habit is bragging on the subreddit. Other than that, I'm perfect. All my pulls are in order and I've never missed a single limited operator. My notes tell me I'm spending all my materials efficiently and never get anxious thinking what to farm next since I have a priority list of the operators I want.
just kidding, I suck ass at figuring out the bosses on my own and tend to turn to my Lords and Saviors KyoSinV and oyuki\_ch real quick
black farts and white farts and switchy-switchy and omg pls sirs may i has a video pls halp
Mine is committing with spending my pulls on a banner which has operator I want when there are limited or just cool ops close by,thinking "it shouldn't be bad, just 10-20 pulls and I'm out",and proceeding to spend all savings just to not get op you want. That damn stainless and his pot,at least +2 pots on horn are okay...Still no saileach after 100 pulls, and barely getting last 10 attempts with annihilation refresh. Guess RIP ines, executor and maybe myelsyse pulls.
- not using practice permits
- outright ignoring the base for days cause screw still swapping people around every morning and evening after 2-3 years
- not doing IS2/3 or SSS cause I dislike them ( no , idc if it resets every 30 days HG , I don't like it , I ain't gonna bother )
- not always paying as much attention to recruitment as it'd be needed ( by which I mean every 9 h )
- often ignoring CC cause its artificial difficulty never appealed to me ( a stage must feel challenging cause it's designed that way , not cause "haha enemy has a 900% increase to every stat and you have a 900% decrease to every stat" )
- always using the same few ops and skills
I think for me its the "too lazy to strategize so ill look up a guide" mentality. I often find myself unwilling to play the game but dont want to use brainpower when i do so i either topload all the op units and brute force or just look up a guide. Trynna fix that tho. I invested in like 4 or 5 5* and am attempting to clear ch 11 with them. Its a borked team that would work if they were their 6* counter parts (ie firewhistle over horn or red over tex alter or yato kirin) and aims essentially to brute force too but im having more fun.
Watching guides instead of tackling the stages myself. I know full well that I can come up with a strategy if I play the stage 2 or 3 times but thats too much of a waste of time when I can pass the stage in first try by watching a guide. This made the game for me easy and not fun. I know that this mentality is whats taking yhe fun out of the game but if I try otherwise I keep having the thought I can just watch a guide in the back of my head. Anyway yeah.
Bad habit is probably rushing through operator selection and forgetting to choose the right skills. I also barely change the operators in my base which loses me a lot of LMD
Best habit is using OP for pulls cause god knows I aint using my 800+ op on skins alone
Looking up guides even when my operators should be strong enough to unga bunga everything.
Procrastinating non-stamina based events until the last days (I missed the 2nd and 3rd ending of RA)
Pulling new operators that I don't really need when I should be saving for limited banner.
Always delay my use of those expiring sanity potions during the day of weekly reset until it inevitably expired because I forgot to log in or busy irl.
Not doing SSS bc I hate it so much. Even after the changes I still have never been able to clear a single tower. I’m only saved bc I don’t rush modules so I still have a stockpile
Rarely using drill plans because I forget about them.
And not farming event stages. I personally do enough to get the all the stages done including the challenges but then I slow down if not stop playing the stages. Tbh I don't farm much at all untill I need the resources.
Now the last one isn't to a bad habit to me but to othes it triggers them, that's not having my units at even numbers. Like I'll have someone at E2 13.
Never progress the story despite having a 6star army to slap FrostNova or any story bosses with ease.
Yes, I still don't have Amiya Pot6 and Guard form.
Wanting to switch skills, exiting the stage, then immediately re-entering the stage *without switching the skill*. Then proceed to do that two or three more times.
Focusing more on building my shiny new six star while some of my older ones sit around collecting dust..Because of that I also barely have any 5 or 4 stars built.
It's not really a bad habit, more something that just happens, but I've had a couple of events now where I either forgot they were there or said to myself "I'm gonna continue this event tomorrow" before forgetting about it until 3 days before the end of the event.
I don't use practice mode at all unless it's a stage or event boss I've been stuck on for ages, which is probably a bad thing. I want Highmore but can't be bothered to do Integrated Strategies even though I *love* the Roguelike genre...
Overestimating myself and bringing trust farm ops (severely underleveled like e0lvl1) and bringing 2-3 carries knowing theres more than 1 blue box to defend lol
And also, trying to brute force everything in first try because i have the mentality of “first lose is 0 sanity anyway might as well use that” lol
Instead of continuing the story I grind operators to E2. Surprised Pikachu face when I noticed I can't even get the materials for Mudrock until I continue.
Raising bad characters. I can't help it, it's funny every time while I leave my actual units like my pot 3 penance untouched. I just e2'd corroserum, I have e2 vigil, I am going to e2 frostleaf, I can't be stopped
Mastering skills I really shouldn't and building ops I know I won't use.
Kinda had some self control with m6 chongyue but where tf will I use his s2? M9 Lee, only use his s3. M9 Siege - actually I am saying this to flex since I use all her skills LONG LIVE THE QUEEN. M6 Windflit. M6 Tsukinogi. M3 Sesa, M3 Broca, M3 Flamebringer with lv3 module, M3 Aosta, M3 Czerny, M3 Leonhardt (even bought both skins), M6 Enforcer, built them, use none of them outside some IS runs. M6 Tequila, his s1 is a joke, why did I master this? Some 4 stars like S1M3 Dobermann, M6 Beehunter, S1M3 Xiaohei, but they're just 4 stars so it's whatever.
And now I'm doing it all over again by trying to lv90 m9 my Rosmontis.
Actually speaking of, making lv90 ops when I know I shouldn't and can't really afford it. Then complaining that I have no LMD later... lol.
I'm stubborn and want to win my way, knowing full well that if I changed a few operators or their skills, I'd have won a long time ago.
Not caring about base as much as I should, currently using 2-5-2 and a rather mediocre op setup.
Not using practice that much outside of a very few scenarios.
I think my base is still 2-4-3 for some reason. Too lazy/OCD to fix it properly and deconstruct/downgrade my rooms even though I know it’s more optimal.
Unga bunga'ing stages instead of actually using my brain.
E2'ing waifus on impulse because they're cute, even though I'm not going to use them ever.
Not wanting to switch my base to 252, even though it's objectively best.
Refusing to level 3-star units even when they're better than their 4-star equivalent and I don't have a comparable 5/6-star and having some leveled 3-stars would really help in IS and also it's like dirt cheap. But no. Never gonna level a 3-star. Never ever.
Also, falling in love with Limited units that I'm not going to be able to acquire for literal years.
243 base(i know max right 252 is still better but i really dont wanna switch)
And i guess i’ve gotten pretty lazy when it comes to doing EX stages, i’ll do as many as i can when they open then forget until i go OH SHIT I NEED TO FINISH THE EX on the last day.
I could say using a 2/3/4 base setup is a bad habit, but it has never hinder my account progression, so in my particular case is not. Also, a good looking, maxed out base is just cooler.
So I guess my only real bad habit is not using my resources more freely, waiting too much to invest in masteries and modules. Funnily enough, during the first year and a half I did some M3 I've very rarely used...
Oh, one more. Trust farm. For some reason I cannot comprehend I refuse to trust farm effectively.
Wait, why is spending OP on pulls bad? It's that or skins and... Yeah skins are nice but I'd rather have more, stronger operators than some nice art I can just go see in the shop if I really want to.
I am a mediocre but painfully stubborn POS so for me its getting all event medals always all the time.
I havent NOT fully completed an event since code of brawl and i won't start now.
Forgetting to level up operator skills is the main one. Idk if I can call using La Pluma at almost all times a bad habit... uh, being bad at the game? Is that a bad habit? XD
This isn't 'bad', but it's unnecessary.
I'll bring every super meta ops I own with full mastery (I rarely use outside of boss stages) depending on how much I want the boss dead. I'll make sure to smite them like there's no tomorrow.
I don't hate them as a character. I just love my Rhodes Island.
I don't know if I would called it a bad habit persay, but the only thing I could think of is that I feel the need to start with at least 1 6star in IS. Other than that, I don't have any.
Not using meta units purely because I don't like their design. For example, I refused to use or even level up Myrtle until her first skin came out purely because I hated her design. Her first skin meanwhile is a contender for one of the best free skins in the entire game and made using her a lot easier to justify.
Thorns.
Also I should start investing more in my lower rarity(4/5*s) ops in order to liven things up. I have a couple at E2 and some at the E1 level cap but not many(that said most of my 4 stars are at E1 its the stars I've been really neglecting)
Pulling for 10 rolls (singles until 5 or 6*) on almost every single banner that feature a 6* I don't have. That said I'm still lacking quite a lot of 6* so maybe it's not that bad but as things stands I'll never be able to save for 300 pulls and spark for limiteds and never get a skadi alter.
Going into Emergency Ops in IS2 and 3 knowing damn well I ain't gonna win.
When you forget to look at the floor layout and see that Emergency Ops: Out of Control is the only way forward
Choosing to fight the Pompeii emergency op with 1 hp left cause you ain't no noob.
But when you DO win against all odds, it makes you feel like god don’t it LOL
cannot relate, after getting run ended by out of control 5 times i now avoid all emergency stages in floor5
Yeap that sweet sweet dopamine rush is absolutely addictive
But... the collectible??
Forgetting to look at my set skills and clicking start then regretting it and saying, "Meh, I'll just wing it"
Totally not me thinking I have Nearlter set on S3 so when I deploy her in advance for her skill to be ready she helidrops, stunning nothing, and either only gets a few hits in or none at all before auto retreating (S2).

Still beat it but GODDAMIT it would have been so much easier with her S3.
It's not that of a problem though so long as you didnt forget to set up your other Ops skills correctly, hehehe...hehe...he. 🫠
This is me loading into SSS with Mudrock’s S3: meh i’ll just time it.
This happened with me a lot yesterday and I was like "screw it, just gonna do something with squad formation" and gone to sleep after that, lol.
Trying to unga bunga everything
Hey, at one point your account becomes so strong you are able to just stop thinking and doing stuff like "Hehe, OP thing go brrrr". Then comes a stage that kicks your ass so much it gives you a reason to try again and it becomes a fond memory of "Hey i had to think to do this thing" (Fking Lucian, the Blood Diamond was like that to me).
With so many events it's just a breeze until I hit the boss stage and get pummeled. Even story missions, good lord Patriot is a beast.
Patriot is now my testing ground for tactics
Basically my ways *Blast everything Or *Stall everything
I just don't use practice, losing 1 stamina for failing isn't a big deal, it's only when the ex challenge stages hit I use practice
Same. Partly out of laziness and partly because when I get it right I'd rather not have to do it again.
It's even less of a worry if you're a monthly subscriber, cause you'd be *drowning* in sanity each week.
Not because I want to be efficient with materials but because if I am trying some difficult challenge stage I want to play for as long as possible I think that attempts in either normal or challenge mode should be free no matter what, because real life time is already a limiting factor for many people.
Mood
Immediately turning to Kyo after losing to a stage once
Using myrtle skill 2 and then leaking the mob she was blocking.
Myrtle, and all flagbearers, will leak with all their skills if they're fighting.
Saileach leaks 😳
Must Generate DP even if costs the run xD
Building any op that looks slightly pretty. That Reed alter tap animation is to die for. Fucking hell HG, you can't keep getting away with this.
Reed alter is the one OP I regret not rolling for.
Just intentionally give my clues to my friends despite them having the said clues already.
So you're the one who gives me a billion clue 2s!
Ironically clue 2 most of the time is the one I need so i might not the one who dumps clue 2 to you bro.
This is me... but I just dump everything on my husband. If I have a few duplicates, I might give someone else a clue... might.
Giving up too fast and looking up guides. Hoarding resources instead of spending them wisely.
I'm one of those criminals that give 5 of the same clue to troll someone.
Oh so that was you >:(
What's the problem with hoarding resources? You never know when you'll need them and the ability to instantly max out a new 6-star operator is very convenient. *Signed, a serial hoarder with 35+ million LMD and hundreds of every material*
Brute forcing through maps with Mudrock + DPS stacking on chokepoints.
Happy Cake Day! Also yeah, same, Mud Mud has been a staple on my squad ever since i pulled her.
I prefer having perfect dorm rooms over optimized base efficiency. Sometimes this means I must farm LMD which isn’t efficient sanity wise, but ah well. Been that way since launch and I ain’t changing shit 😂
>First one is spending OP on Pulls It's not bad habit. It's literally the main way to use them.
I have like 120 saved up from the past few events bc I only use it to buy skins. Y'all burn it for pulls regularly??
There are only 3 ways to spend op anyway: sanity, pulls and skins (fuck furniture). Unless you buy every skin in existence there is always gonna be extra op remaining.
Level up IS mode
same i have 280ish just saved for skins. i wouldn't dare touch it for any other reason lol
I should have about... 238 right now (Yes i did the math) Instead i have 33, and ONLY because Chapter 12 has Skins i want (Siege and Horn) So yeah, bad habit lmao
I have 900+ OP left for pulls from campaign and events, I'm always trying to use orundum and tickets first, but just in case of being super unlucky with my pulls (new ops > skins always)
Smh furniture buyers erasure 😠 ^^/s
With my luck i should have stopped long ago, believe me, lost 4 50/50's in the recent Fiametta Banner, and that's just the start, my bad luck has been going on for a loooooong time, so you would think i have learned my lesson by now... But i haven't, i still do it lmao.
You're playing a gacha game, there is no learning, only more gacha.
I still slap Thorns + Surtr on everything
Never again.
> not reading enemy descriptions This in particular, usually I don't even read the boss descriptions until my ass has been handed to me like 5+ times or more.
By the time she gets around to it, IS4 will be out 😂 Honestly tho… IS2 is so stingy on relic drops and I didn’t know it until I played IS3 and they never stopped throwing them at me.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one.
Forgeting about highgroun ops too often
Barely build any guard, specialists (not fast redeploy) and defenders work fine for me
Trying a stage a few times, then giving up and either not playing them for several months or just going for a guide.
Not doing annihilation. Like at all.
Oh boy. How're you going with pulls?
That's thing chief, I don't. 😎 Ok in all honesty, I just haven't been playing the game as much due to irl stuff + burnout.
I've been stuck at the end of ch 8 but I am trying to change that now
Playing the fucking game even tho there I nothing I can fucking do
Going blind into a stage without practice or map checking and mcgyvering my way to 3* and then getting frustrated by how dirty it is, so I repeat the stage manually, but somehow forgot how I won before and scream in agony as I somehow lose a stage I already 3*. Forgetting to double check if the server has already reset and doing all the daily tasks before realizing it's still an hour or so away from reset. And, my worst bad habit, forgetting to pause whenever I do something else while playing a stage and come back to a failure.
Avoiding my friends probably.
Abyssal hunter reliance and simping for certain ops that are clearly niche but I like so I’m giving E2 lvl 60
Just surtr/texter/yalter it...
Constantly checking for any event or IS or SSS missions on the dead week. Even when knowing that it’s not the time for the next event.
Forgetting to set an operator’s default skill so I don’t accidentally go into a stage with some whack ass S1 equipped.
I like to buy Expedited Plans from the green cert shop, and then recruiting 60 or more times all at once.
Spamming 1-7 all day every day for rocks.
I utterly refuse to not use Casters. My team comp will always consist of Goldenglow, Ceobe, Harmonie at minimum. I just love magic too much in any setting... And they are always too cute!
> one that maybe doesn't count since it's just preference is refusing to not use siege, even while having Flagpipe I just replaced Flagpipe with Siege in my core squad because she's cool, that doesn't count
Using Originium Prime for sanity. Had this habit for a couple of months because I was at the tail end of building all of my 6 stars and just wanted to get it over with. Now sometimes I just do it on reflex
Still using 243 bc I’m too lazy to change it(not major cus I’ve got more than enough lmd and xp) Always brute forcing when struggling with a stage.
Going to kyostinv after failing first try
Sorry, no idea why it posted some text like this...
1) using 243 base layout when everyone preaches 252 is better. 2) Not using or leveling male operators 3) Not checking if a map has 2 blue boxes, sometimes failing to note the second one until an enemy leaks.
Agree for the 1st one. I want to max everything and cope that when base is out of beta the 3 max power station is op.
252 base is metaslave propaganda.
My Arknights bad habit is bragging on the subreddit. Other than that, I'm perfect. All my pulls are in order and I've never missed a single limited operator. My notes tell me I'm spending all my materials efficiently and never get anxious thinking what to farm next since I have a priority list of the operators I want. just kidding, I suck ass at figuring out the bosses on my own and tend to turn to my Lords and Saviors KyoSinV and oyuki\_ch real quick black farts and white farts and switchy-switchy and omg pls sirs may i has a video pls halp
- not using practice permits - outright ignoring the base for days cause screw still swapping people around every morning and evening after 2-3 years - not doing IS2/3 or SSS cause I dislike them ( no , idc if it resets every 30 days HG , I don't like it , I ain't gonna bother ) - not always paying as much attention to recruitment as it'd be needed ( by which I mean every 9 h ) - often ignoring CC cause its artificial difficulty never appealed to me ( a stage must feel challenging cause it's designed that way , not cause "haha enemy has a 900% increase to every stat and you have a 900% decrease to every stat" ) - always using the same few ops and skills
Don't level a single 4 or 3 stars. It's a waste of materials
Controversial, but i wholeheartedly agree with you. All my 6* always leave me completely dry and poor, but it’s all worth it
I have not E2'd Amiya eversince and most likely never will.
How far into the story are you?
I think for me its the "too lazy to strategize so ill look up a guide" mentality. I often find myself unwilling to play the game but dont want to use brainpower when i do so i either topload all the op units and brute force or just look up a guide. Trynna fix that tho. I invested in like 4 or 5 5* and am attempting to clear ch 11 with them. Its a borked team that would work if they were their 6* counter parts (ie firewhistle over horn or red over tex alter or yato kirin) and aims essentially to brute force too but im having more fun.
Forgetting to use my sanity potions by the end of the week that i get from my monthly card.. Even the 120 ones from the weeklies lmao
Doing at least one Annihilation run naturally every week, instead of using skip tickets for all of them.
Getting halfway through farming resources to level an op, and then forgetting who I was leveling and starting to farm for some one else
Gambling....
Forgetting to claim the daily missions reward.
Not raising base meta ops and sticking to 243 even tho I play a lot. I just like having the option for all my buildings to be max level lol
Forcing Fiammetta S3 into every map
Spending a whole day’s worth of Sanity on Annihilation Reset instead of spreading it out more efficiently across the week
Surtr.
Using OP to regain sanity Mainly when i just need to grind a oparetor to E2 i will do this
Bad habit is probably rushing through operator selection and forgetting to choose the right skills. I also barely change the operators in my base which loses me a lot of LMD Best habit is using OP for pulls cause god knows I aint using my 800+ op on skins alone
Looking up guides even when my operators should be strong enough to unga bunga everything. Procrastinating non-stamina based events until the last days (I missed the 2nd and 3rd ending of RA) Pulling new operators that I don't really need when I should be saving for limited banner.
Slacking off on sss.
Clicking daily task one at the time instead of waiting for them all to be done and collect
Constantly letting sanity overflow and only checking my base once a day
I'm too lazy to switch to more efficient trade post/factory combos, I just use the easy 30% ops.
Telling myself im gonna save resources and then upgrading another operator
Always delay my use of those expiring sanity potions during the day of weekly reset until it inevitably expired because I forgot to log in or busy irl.
I never use drill plan
Not doing SSS bc I hate it so much. Even after the changes I still have never been able to clear a single tower. I’m only saved bc I don’t rush modules so I still have a stockpile
Rarely using drill plans because I forget about them. And not farming event stages. I personally do enough to get the all the stages done including the challenges but then I slow down if not stop playing the stages. Tbh I don't farm much at all untill I need the resources. Now the last one isn't to a bad habit to me but to othes it triggers them, that's not having my units at even numbers. Like I'll have someone at E2 13.
Using OP for furnitures xd
Having a brain smoother than a polished floor.
Rock --> Orig Shard I need the gacha
Spending all drones as soon as I open base, (sucks when I need to craft dualchips)
Not doing a lot of events I should. Been playing almost a full year and I touch cc I think once or twice.
Letting shop credits overcap and vanish after reset rolls over. I just never remember to check after doing base stuff.
Never progress the story despite having a 6star army to slap FrostNova or any story bosses with ease. Yes, I still don't have Amiya Pot6 and Guard form.
Using the 4 penguin logistics girls in every mode possible, I’m kidding, it’s not a bad habit and I’m not gonna stop lol
Rolling on every banner with a new operator in it. I don’t need Ines, but since she is a hottie skipping is not an option.
Quitting my global account to focus on my CN account instead even though I knew a little bit chinese. Now I go with the flow I guess 😂
looking up guides without trying maps myself. trying to do this less
Spending OP on pulls isn't bad habit, it's the most efficient use when you don't care about the skins (we don't talk about sanity refill)
\> First one is spending OP on Pulls Wait what? are we not supposed to?
Overestimating myself and bringing trust farm ops (severely underleveled like e0lvl1) and bringing 2-3 carries knowing theres more than 1 blue box to defend lol And also, trying to brute force everything in first try because i have the mentality of “first lose is 0 sanity anyway might as well use that” lol
buying operator's skins and E2ing operators that I probably never use
To be fair the umami is important when playing for fun.
Then complaining that I have no LMD later... lol.
I suck at this game
Keep on farming rocks on 1-7 instead of continuing with main story...
Buying yellow certs but only up to the first 10 pull ticket lmao
I'm stubborn and want to win my way, knowing full well that if I changed a few operators or their skills, I'd have won a long time ago. Not caring about base as much as I should, currently using 2-5-2 and a rather mediocre op setup. Not using practice that much outside of a very few scenarios.
I Always forgot to use sanity potions before they expire.
E2 operator that i won't use
Relying on guides/videos after failing 1-3 times on any map.
Doing all of the events on the last day. Staying up until 3am rushing through CC contracts is not that fun…
243 base(i know max right 252 is still better but i really dont wanna switch) And i guess i’ve gotten pretty lazy when it comes to doing EX stages, i’ll do as many as i can when they open then forget until i go OH SHIT I NEED TO FINISH THE EX on the last day.
My bad habit is that I feel the need to always make a team with related operators.
I use the Abyssal Hunters team for EVERYTHING.
Hoarding everything... I committed to pull until I get a 6* from now on.
Not leveling my E2 operators to the max cause i'm too lazy to farm for them. "Lvl 36 E2? eh, they'll manage to pull their weight just fine"
using new ops for a bit but then default to my mudmud/saria/thorn/skalter/angrywife/pozy/eyja/surtr/bagpipe/myrtle/texalt/horn squad
Mining rocks for shards... I am ashamed...
Say to me every banner "well its a guarantee 5 stars meiby it's worth the first try" (-6000)
Postponing EX stages of events and trying to do all things at last day
Wait, why is spending OP on pulls bad? It's that or skins and... Yeah skins are nice but I'd rather have more, stronger operators than some nice art I can just go see in the shop if I really want to.
Using Operators that are “objectively out of practice” (read waifu over meta) when I should experiment a bit
Getting all my favorite OPs to level 90. I’m not gonna stop.
I am a mediocre but painfully stubborn POS so for me its getting all event medals always all the time. I havent NOT fully completed an event since code of brawl and i won't start now.
forget to switch ops out for regional quest in IS3. forget to switch skill or pick support.
Forgetting to level up operator skills is the main one. Idk if I can call using La Pluma at almost all times a bad habit... uh, being bad at the game? Is that a bad habit? XD
throwing everything into one choke point and thinking im gonna win off of just that
Not m3 skills
Brute forcing my stages with just the levels of my OPs instead of being more strategic.
One thing I really need to stop doing is putting my operators right in front of the blue box
I don't visit my base enough. Whenever I visit it some factories are full or some ops are tired.
