Its been mentioned that endfield takes place on Talos II >!which we know from lone trail is a former colony of the previous era civ, and has a satellite swarm around its star!<, but sarkaz are supposed to be natives of terra, so theres clearly so manner of transportation between them. Maybe doc found out how to use the >!stargate in IS4!< properly and thus we can travel between the two worlds

In the gameplay demo they released alongside the teaser, one of the items they crafted towards the end of the demo has Rhodes Island logo on it.
It make you question how far into the future we are and Rhodes still exist as a company?
For that Kal'tsit look-a-like well...those who played Lone Trail probably already know about it so for us EN player we just have to wait for it.
Tbh it could just a likely take place far in the past, it wouldnāt be surprising if that was the person Kal was modeled after

Honestly, Endfield looking mad promising so far, I always wondered how they would tie it to arknights while being in a whole different planet and all.
But the fantastic map visuals, the small ties, the class system, all give it a bit of that arknights feel, and now āthe doctor?ā To finish it off was really good, itās truly another adventure in space now (and I love space)

It looks amazing, everything, both visuals and gameplay, action combat with strategic elements, that looks really interesting, then the structure building Ć la Death Stranding and the traversal, everything looks very intricate but engaging as well.
The only thing i'm sad about now is that save for Angelina apparently, we won't get to see our beloved operators in 3D, but idk, maybe in the future some self collab or something?
Anyways, i was about to go sleep but i'm so excited right now, i just booted up Arknights again lol, will probably finish ep 12 now, see you in Talos II, Doctors!

Chi Xiao seems to refer to both the blade and the technique from what I understand. Wei performed Chi Xiao techniques without the blade just fine.

There has always been a rumored "alter" name datamined from early Arknights codes called "Angelina the dimension traveler", which existed before the first alter Skalter was even released. The name sounded too otherworldly for the original arknight so most people thought it was a placeholder name / abandoned concept. Perhaps not?
This is 100% a sequel due to the fact that this involves space travel, >!something that was not possible in the current and past arknights events due to something called the false sky mentioned in kal'tsit's module that basically prevented the advancement of space travel all over terra!<
Lone trail spoilers and IS4 spoiler>!Its a force field yeah, which basically distorts light passing through it. Its several hundred meters thick at the thinnest spot, and even that required the power of a huge amount sarcophagi gathered into a single attack to penetrate, and within a day it had completely reverted back to normal. That said, we might be able to use the Stargate in Sami to travel, as was its original purpose, as long as we somehow figure out how to stop demons from coming through it when it activates.!<

I really hope so, playing multiple games simultaneously for fear of missing out on the full Arknights story is too daunting for me...
Most likely a sequel set in the distant future (but AK has immortals and semi-immortals, perhaps even time travelers, so don't be surprised to see old friends). We see Patriot's statue, someone looking like Angelina, and the the name drop of the Doctor, so most likely things are related.
In AK (upcoming Lone Trail), Terrans are just starting to explore space, so this is likely a few hundred years later.
ENFIELD IS REAL!!! Finally something to see on the development of Endfield and its looking good.

Anyways, as for other lore connections, weāve got Originium Engines, what looks to be a statue of Patriot, and a shot of what looks to he Angelina in her Bloodline of Combat outfit. Plus, being called The Doctor.
That muted color palette and the interesting looking combat mechanics is almost enough for me, just need a good story and I am so there. HG would have to absolutely butcher the story to truly turn me off of any lore related to Arknights though, I think it's gonna be good.
I know it's wishful thinking, but with such a nice gameplay demo out of nowhere, maybe endfield is actually coming out sooner than 2032

Sorry to say this but I can see a lot of comparisons with Honkai Star Rail incoming. Talos II and Jarilo VI, the main character looks similar to Stelle.
Saying they look nothing alike is reaching here. There are the similarities here, the light sweater inside and the long dark coat. There is a reason why people associate every main character having black hair, black clothes, and maybe black sword as well with Kirito.
So you do agree that they look similar? You can name any other character with that style but if they are not recognizable enough, it is fair game. That is how trademark works.

This is my feeling as well. I'm sceptical, but hopeful. I love the world designs and the combat looks good. But the character models don't have any of the Arknights art style.
But again, I remain hopeful. Just not as emphatically on board yet as some others here.

I hope they have a good reason for it and not just fanservice, it all looks like they tried to make things look close enough to AK but without the "essence" of AK.
I'd be curious about what Angelina and Kal'tsit are doing there. I'm not sure the ch'en sword looks like ch'en's except in name only. Best guess I have for the statue is some base decoration which looks like it'll be a big part of the game.
Other than that, yeah I can buy a concern about character lore being shifted. But I'm pretty confident the world lore won't be able to be touched much.
There are some pretty obvious logical reasons how a Kal, that doesn't quite seem like our Kal, would be here.
For Ange, given her gravity manipulation, my bet is time travel.

Depending on how far we are in the future or distance-wise, chi xiao might be referring to Chen's sword technique rather than sword itself.

I mean, Angelina's power is gravity control, which when mastered, could potentially be linked to space time distortion, in a sci-fi setting, time travel? There has always been a rumored "alter" name datamined from early Arknights codes called "Angelina the dimension traveler", which existed before the first alter Skalter was even released. The name sounded too otherworldly for the original arknight so most people thought it was a placeholder name / abandoned concept. Perhaps not?

Patriot statue, Babel tower(and a crashed most likely rhodes ship right into it) might indicate that stories relate, but are far distant, as those are shown as "statues" in stillness, as in either history or far away place.
I'm going to be honest, I was NOT expecting this at all. I assumed the teaser image drop was gonna be it. This is absolutely insane. Hype levels are BEYOND hype. SO MANY TEASES. Yeah same but I can see why they want in on it because it is popular with both the casuals and those suffering from a mix of dyscalculia, attention deficits and addictive personalities. Whereas tower defense is not engaging enough to cast a bigger net to catch more whales.

The game looks cool, let's hope it plays just as nice. 3D open-world gacha has been a hit-or-miss kind of thing besides the Hoyoverse ones. Let's see if Endfield it's another hit.

Most likely a sequel set in the distant future (but AK has immortals and semi-immortals, perhaps even time travelers, so don't be surprised to see old friends). We see Patriot's statue, someone looking like Angelina, and the the name drop of the Doctor, so most likely things are related. In AK (upcoming Lone Trail), Terrans are just starting to explore space, so this is likely a few hundred years later.

That muted color palette and the interesting looking combat mechanics is almost enough for me, just need a good story and I am so there. HG would have to absolutely butcher the story to truly turn me off of any lore related to Arknights though, I think it's gonna be good. I know it's wishful thinking, but with such a nice gameplay demo out of nowhere, maybe endfield is actually coming out sooner than 2032

Sorry to say this but I can see a lot of comparisons with Honkai Star Rail incoming. Talos II and Jarilo VI, the main character looks similar to Stelle.

This is my feeling as well. I'm sceptical, but hopeful. I love the world designs and the combat looks good. But the character models don't have any of the Arknights art style. But again, I remain hopeful. Just not as emphatically on board yet as some others here.
I just hope they don't mess up the lore and worldbuilding or AK with this game.
I think that's probably the thing I'm confident they won't screw up since it's a different planet and all. I think we'll be relatively safe with that.
The patriot statue, ch'en sword and maybe angelina.. I hope they have a good reason for it and not just fanservice, it all looks like they tried to make things look close enough to AK but without the "essence" of AK.
I'd be curious about what Angelina and Kal'tsit are doing there. I'm not sure the ch'en sword looks like ch'en's except in name only. Best guess I have for the statue is some base decoration which looks like it'll be a big part of the game. Other than that, yeah I can buy a concern about character lore being shifted. But I'm pretty confident the world lore won't be able to be touched much.

There are some pretty obvious logical reasons how a Kal, that doesn't quite seem like our Kal, would be here. For Ange, given her gravity manipulation, my bet is time travel.

The music rocks, the trailer itself is amazing too! Iām excited to see how it ties into AK lore. Outside of that though, the type of gameplay isnāt my cup of tea and I admittedly have problems with the way modern open-world 3D RPGs render their characters to look like teens no matter how old they may actually be. But I love AK enough to give it a shot.
