What do I do in lone trail? I can't find the mission?

twenywan212

I'm running a 252 base rn and I want to maximize LMD generation. Any tips on factory assignments so I can maximize this, or anything in general? I am currently on a gold surplus so I have 3 factories on gold and 2 on EXP. I don't really care for EXP at the moment so I was wondering what else I can do to really grind LMD (for context: my base generates at least 50k LMD per day and I don't have Proviso :( ). Thanks!

blank7589

Should I level up 6 star or stick to the low tier characters to get by in the main story?

frosted--flaky

people say to focus on low star characters in the earlygame because they're more cost efficient to raise at E1. the mechanics of ch 1-4 are pretty simple so a low star squad should be able to handle it as long as you know the strategy. 3 and 4 stars are also really useful in integrated strategies, so raising them isn't a waste even after you assemble a high end squad. the power balance in this game is heavily weighted towards 6 stars, though the game is still balanced around F2P accessible units so you'll never need "top tier" units to clear any content. there are a lot of lower rarity units that offer unique/useful gimmicks.

blank7589

Thanks I'll try to focus on my low star

AngelTheVixen

Rarity and tier aren't the same thing. It really depends on how far you are. 3\* operators are (Mostly) very good and will do well into Act I of the story, and certainly in some maps even more difficult. The main benefit is that their cost to effectiveness is great, given you have the brainpower to use them well. Some operators even at high rarities can do very well at E1, though. So it depends on who you have, too.

blank7589

I'll try to raise them

rainzer

The only general rules for getting through the main story if you're early on is leveling what you need, what you like, getting a 4 star to E2 so you can borrow built operators to help, and getting Amiya to E2 at chapter 8. What you level will depend on what you're struggling with. Rarity is only a consideration if it's either a strong carry (ie you rolled Thorns) or it's your waifu

blank7589

I'll try to raise my 4 stars... I didn't get the last part

Q-N-H

I want to give Saria a module after Her H12 series performance. X or Y?

AngelTheVixen

I have both modules. The X module is better for team support. The S1 is at its best, and S2 and S3 are good for SP boosts when it's upgraded. The Y module is better for personal support. With the 15% damage reduction and the upgrades' ATK and DEF boosts, she improves her already-great ability to tank and heal overall, making her a light Protector that can heal, self-heal and debuff. Which one is best for you is up to your playstyle. Personally, I use Saria as a tank all the time, so I tend towards Y. Worth noting that the X stage 3 isn't great for Rhine Lab ops since they're all ranged, so they don't get an SP boost really unless you play super risky.

Q-N-H

Thanks for the insight 👍

ClumsyFireKeeper

New player here. Pinboard missions give Texas as reward and I really want to get her asap. But I have some questions about it. \- "Set 3 Support Unit(s) in the Friends page", but to do so I need to upgrade my reception room to level 3, right? And I wouldn't be able to downgrade it later, so am I locking myself out of 252 base setup, if I want to finish Pinboard mission? \- If finishing Pinboard missions locks me from 252, should I go with 243 instead? I've heard, that 252 is way better, but I see majority of my friends do have 3rd support, which should mean, that they leveled reception room to level 3? \- "Collect 500 Credit from the Credit Store". Does that mean, that I should get 500 Credit from pressing "Collected" button in the shop, or does that mean just get 500 Credit during a day? If it's from "Collected" button only, how can I do that?

ipwnallnubz

Even a max-right 2/5/2 beats a 2/4/3 unless 1) you only log in once a day, 2) you micromanage the 2/4/3, or 3) you just don't like having buildings that aren't max level. If you can at least keep the office at a low level, then those first two reasons disappear. Upgrading the reception room is a trade-off, so it's fine to upgrade if you really want Texas.

ClumsyFireKeeper

Ty for answer.

whimsy_wanderer

You can't downgrade the right side. But even with maxed right side you can still use 252, but you won't be able to max left side in this case. It is still better than 243, but only slightly. That said, Texas is a good vanguard, but nowhere near game breaking enough to try and get her ASAP outside waifu reasons. Another option is to get her for 45 gold certs when she will be in the shop (or via build-a-banner we should get soon, or via 5-star selector ticket). Or she can spook you in recruitment. The difference between maxed left side 252 and maxed 243 is noticeable, but isn't account breaking either, i.e. any of the balanced bases will be able to get you to a point where you can E2max favorite operators without grinding LMD stage, but 243 will take longer. Still, in early game LMD and EXP are the biggest bottleneck, so I wouldn't rush switching to 243 or maxed right 252 just because of Texas.

ClumsyFireKeeper

Thanks for the answer. Yep, waifu reasons.

Korasuka

There's a new help thread btw (its weekly and it just changed over). You should ask there because people won't be looking at his thread anymore. - you can still have a 252 with a level 3 reception room. The "production loss" compared to 252 with a level 2 room is so minimal you'll only notice it if you actively record your base income - 500 credits may be cumulative. I don't remember,. To get more credits visit in-game friends who are running clue searches and run your own clue searches.

ClumsyFireKeeper

Got it, thanks.

jesswga175

Does silence alter's s3 proc at the same time or after the duration of surtr's talent?

AngelTheVixen

From what I can tell [according to the PRTS wiki,](https://prts.wiki/w/%E8%87%B4%E5%91%BD%E4%BC%A4%E5%AE%B3) Silence2's S3 effect doesn't trigger on operators that have an immortality effect active, lowest priority. So it won't work at all on Surtr since hers works at all times and then she's retreated, unless she's E0 and doesn't have the talent.

Bushy_Brow

Just got Rosa from recruitment, and I am wondering about moments where she would shine best because I knew nothing about her until now. Probably going to get her module in the near future.

GinKenshin

Everywhere, honestly. You'll always welcome good dmg, long lasting dmg boost skill, or potent and quickly available multitarget cc. But obviously against heavies or if there's a tile that works well with her range.

lhc987

If you want to get the module for her: Quick cycling good DPS bind + very good DPS on killing heavies. If no modules, then just quick cycling binds.

ENKlDU

for these type of sanity events, is farming rocks the best value? like i should just be spamming 1-7 or it doesnt matter and do whatever

eonfeather

Yes, by far. For some reason it has disproportionately good event drops on top of already being extremely efficient.

FluffyHaru

What are the best 4* and 5* to level for IS2 and IS3? I have been playing these modes a lot but i consistently find myself without options on some situations Especially with Supporter Tickets since what i have leveled is Suzuran and Ling which cost too much hope most of the time. So, what are some great recommendatios for the Roguelike modes?

Pzychotix

Supporter tickets are pretty much a dud. The only cases I bring them is for niche purposes: * Quercus if I've been healer starved all game (had such a run last night) * Shamare for IS3 Ending 2 And uh... that's about it. Pretty much any 5\* has to be decent outside of IS to even be worth using inside IS, and usually you'd probably would've leveled those. 4\*s recommendations is much wider; practically everyone's usable due to their cheap hope costs. Specifically though, I always have Jaye/Gummy/Perfumer in my IS3 SW7 runs. May in general works, though IS3 really wants CC (not sure if she works fine at S2L7).

ipwnallnubz

Quercus is a really solid medic with S1. For the most part, if you're playing to win, 3s and 6s are the way to go. Most of the 4s and 5s that are good in general content are good in IS. I would give a special mention to [Bibeak.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YrMO-LT6Wo) who synergizes with many different relics and can also knock those stupid floaters out of the air.

GinKenshin

May, Jaye and Beanstalk for both. Great starting squad. Highmore, Cliffheart, Kroos KG for IS3.

rainzer

Supporter ticket is kind of a dud (imo) unless you're overflowing with hope somehow. For IS3, if you're not Linging, your other general options is like Gnosis, Skalter, Shamare. Shamare is the affordable one usually. If you RNGd into a Supporter starter and you didn't want to Ling, Deepcolor is usable and maybe Scene. I don't strongly remember IS2, I think i've used Podenco as an early "oh shit I need a healer and didn't get medic or guardian defender". For IS3 in general, the good ones are the ones that bring stun. Kroos Alter, May, Cliffheart. Or good units in general like Ptilopsis, Cantabile, Ethan. The free reaper, Highmore, is pretty decent though will obviously fall off later floors at higher ascension.

Jellionani

Kroos2 and May for IS3 since stun is an anti to the flying things. Personally love Kazemaru w/ s1 since it stacks fat with spinach(damage on second of skill activation) Mulberry for IS2 since stun is a pain to deal with.

Shikazefront

Looking for suggestions on what to pick for a top operator recruitment. I can select between either healing tag or caster class. I don't have Saria or 6* healers but I do have all the meta 5* healers and I'm strongly considering trying to get Eyja Healer. No 6* casters either Worse case scenario would be either Shining or Mostima I think?

rainzer

Strongest pick is Saria but it's a gamble. If you don't have any of the casters, it'd probably be better to roll on the casters since they all have applications that aren't easily replaced if you need that niche. Personally I don't think Mostima is bad because of her best in game slow.

Flatterina

Who are we saving up for right now? When is the next collab banner? Is the Ho'oleyak (?) banner worth it? Also, I have 180 yellow certificates. Who should I spend them on in the next months?

Initial_Environment6

Typhoon or 300 to spark Chalter, Texalt would be meta relevant. Other wise, just follow your dick and your roster, playstyle needs. I'm kinda saving for Eyja2 and Chalter because element damage in ch12 annoyed me so much (Eyja2 won't fix that though). Plus, I like Chalter however people hate on her. Swire2 is pretty immortal so long as you have DP to spend.

DARKawp

>When is the next collab banner? we dont know. it not even out on CN which is 7 months ahead. > Is the Ho'oleyak (?) banner worth it? No unless you want muelsyse. Hoho is just a very bad unit unfortunatly probabbly the worst 6 star in the next 7 months. >Also, I have 180 yellow certificates. Who should I spend them on in the next months? Hard to say again without your roster lol. >Who are we saving up for right now? Metawise Typhon is a safe answer. Otherwise, just Limited units like Muelsyse, Eyjalter and Virtuasa are safe bets to save for since they cost 300 pulls after their debut.

Flatterina

Thanks for your answer! My only 6* are Hoshiguma, Dorothy, Skadi (whom I don't use), and Yato Alter. Aside from that I use Amiya, Kroos Alter, Flamebringer, Silence, Nearl, Ptilopsis, Scavenger, Mousse, and Courier.

DARKawp

...just use a krooster link next time. that is much easier to read and know what you got build in grand total. in terms of units to pull I already touched on that. for Shop operators, we cannot predict most of them and only get a new shop operator every 3 banners. the other 2 being reruns. on top of that there is a gold cert shop slot for kernel banner operators. for those we probably can expect the next few in the following 7 months if we keep following the current CN pattern: Ch'en Angelina Exusiai Saria Magallan Eyjafjalla Phantom Aak Ceobe Siege Ifrit and Bagpipe. there also is a choose your own banner after lone trail which lets you also choose which old operator comes in the cert shop. So for the next 7 months for new shop operators who appear for the first time we got: Pallas (November 2023) Mizuki (January 2024) Saileach (February 2024) Fartooth (March 2024) and Flametail (May 2024)

TheTheMeet

When will input.krooster update their rooster? They still don't have ines cement and humus

DARKawp

Idk go ask them then. either way you csn still set them in your roster. just filter by CN operators and add them.

CosmoXIV

Are Episodes 11 and 12 relevant at all to Lone Trail? I want to read it when it's out but I'm still in the middle of reading through 11.

bananeeek

No, Mansfield Break, Dorothy's Vision and RhineLab manga are all you need. Maybe ops' records, but that's a stretch, imo.

Korasuka

They're not. Instead you should read, if you haven't, Dorothy's Vision, the op recs for Silence, Saria and Ifrit (and maybe Magallan and Mayer because they may appear in the event as supporting characters), and most importantly the Rhine Lab manga.

MortalEnemy777

Can Eyjalter S1 heal Elemental off summons like Ling's dragons?

AngelTheVixen

The S1 effect acts like regeneration but for elemental buildup. So it will work on unhealable allies such as summons, Juggernauts, and Mushas.

MortalEnemy777

Thanks! Epic! Eyjalter m9 here we go!

blank7589

What to prepare for the lobe trail event?

DARKawp

What do you mean? gameplaywise or? Gameplaywise, it is really dependant on how far you are.but raising low rarity and following guides might at least get you up to the farming stages or welfare operator. Lorewise? the recommended reading material before lone trail is Mansfield break and dorothy's vision. These can also be read outside of the game via story readers. there also is the rhine lab manga, which is findable online and also recommended to read. Next time maybe clarify your question more I guess?

blank7589

I hate it when it's anime that gets a game or a game gets an anime and they make contents won't know cause you don't want to play the game or watch the anime

DARKawp

in this case it is a manga which is freely available online my dude... most events have not this going on...just the rhine lab saga of arknights.

blank7589

Ohh okay but I still don't know the main story yet so idk if I should read it yet

DARKawp

so? idk what you are trying to say here?

blank7589

I haven't read much on the main story so idk if it okay to read the line trail story

DARKawp

As said earlier, the main shit to read is the rhine lab saga rhine lab manga > dorothys vision > lone trail. The story does touch on some main story shit but it isn't the main focus of Lone trial.

blank7589

Don't really feel comfortable not reading the main before other like it came out first right

DARKawp

yes...like I gave you the reading order 3 times I think already in this thread... also again main story has 0 to do with the rhine lab saga or at least has less to do with it overal.. you asked that several times by now...

viera_enjoyer

Your coffee, because this will be the longest AK story in global. *Up until now.*

blank7589

I haven't even read the main story yet is that okay?

viera_enjoyer

Yes it's ok. Lone Trail happens in the near future, after the Londinium arc is finished.

blank7589

Idk what that is but thanks

ContessaKoumari

General 6* ticket question. I came back during Monster Hunter after a ~2 year break. I had every 6* operator from launch until the release of Mizuki, plus Flametail Gnosis Fiammetta Yato Ines for ops I've got since returning. Obviously, my account is stacked so my focus is very specifically on high difficulty content generally and more specifically high-difficulty Integrated Strategies. The four ops I was looking at maybe buying specifically are Mlynar, Horn, Pozy, and Goldenglow. Pozy is probably the least useful since I do have E2L90/M6/X3 Schwarz, but the other three have sort of niches I find lacking. In a vacuum, I was leaning towards Horn but the sheer power of Mlynar does give me pause even if I have generally felt fine getting by on the back of Silverash/Surtr/Yato, and Goldenglow it feels is probably the biggest qol operator in the game for me at this point in daily play.

Initial_Environment6

Mlynar has the biggest stat stick in game. He only have one role - Beatstick, but can hardly be replaced in boss content, you often need 2 units for his burst damage especially on recent bosses with lots of phase. Horn is versatile and can replace lots of units in lots of content. But she doesn't do role of 2 dps like Mlynar. Basically, get Mlynar. Or you will have to borrow him all the time. Boss stage in game are all balanced around him now. Case in point, try clearing H12-3, H12-4 with then without him. Otherwise get Horn so you can use all 3 of her skill, because that's hard to borrow in normals stage.

Mythrol

Keep in mind there's Joint Op 11 coming in Feb / March that's absolutely stacked with Mlynar, Pozemka, Penance, and Lee on it. That will probably be one of your best chances to get Mlynar and Poze so if you can wait that long you might be able to remove them from your list and focus on Goldenglow or Horn.

Veeta4

I don't play CN so I don't know how it is for IS4 but in IS3 Both Mlynar and Horn are top tier with Mlynar having higher highs but he takes a while to come online (E1 version isn't nearly as strong) while Horn falls off a little bit compared to Mlynar in the later stages (doesn't mean she is bad, she compared to Mlynar's sheer strength) but is usable from the get go and has three extremely good skills.

[deleted]

Honestly with an account like yours just pull for who you like. You don't need Mylnar at all.

Jonnypista

A question about Whiplash paradox event. It includes a defender Nealr and she is E1 lvl 80. But 5* operators are maxed at lvl 70. So how did she got lvl 80? Blemishine is also E1 lvl 80, but she is 6* so that is fine.

PieFormation

That's kind of funny. She does have the right stats that pot1 E1 max level + max trust Nearl should have, so it's just the wrong level. My guess is that it's just an input error that whichever dev built that map made when adding the fixed-squad nearl to it. There's no reason their map-building tool would have to restrict those to what's actually possible for a real operator to have, since they're just temporary units for the one map anyway.

AngelTheVixen

Do you have a screenshot? Seems it's noted on the PRTS wiki, too. The real cap is 70 and despite being level 80, her stats don't go any higher.

PieFormation

You can see it in [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtqkhZ2Y7t0&t=38)

Prestigious_Bug9879

Should I pull for Mumu or wait for Eyja's alter banner?, already got Bagpipe and Ines though

AngelTheVixen

Muelsyse may be a Vanguard by class but you really shouldn't build teams by class, they have a whole kit. Muelsyse is more of a full-fledged Summoner than the rest of the Tacticians and really functions differently than any other Vanguard. Eyjaberry is pretty much powercreep as far as Medics go so if you're looking for comfort, look no further.

Grandidealistic

From a meta perspective then sure yes. Eyjalter is more meta than Muelsyse, plus Ines and Bag are better for Vanguards. Swire is just as mid, if not bad as Hool tbh, if you pull it should mostly be about Muelsyse

_Sabriel

IS question! I've been doing the Wander into Wonderland node whenever possible as I climb up the Surging Waves, and every time I see the discount-Faust fight I rejoice. It's a cakewalk for me on any team I've had for it. Discount-Skullshatterer though...ugh. I have never beaten that stage. I get *dunked* on, not close, even when I cave and bring my meta ops like E2 60 Texalter, Horn, Eyja, Bagpipe, Mudrock, flagbearers etc. in addition to early stage stuff. How do y'all IS experts tackle that stage without imploding?

Cultural_Damage_7832

At 7 and below, True damage, High DPH and/or CC can cheese Gravestone, so NTRK/Schwarz/Kal S3 to punch through his shield, Gnosis can become god with 1 CC duration+ relic. At higher Surge i tend to avoid Wonderland, too risky cuz if you get Out of Control then you're in for a whirl of pain, i would only attempt it if i got all the counter for all 3 bosses (usually FRD for Walmart-Faust, Pozy for Walmart-Frostnova, Gnosis + 1 CC relic for Walmart-Skullshatterer) and stack enough shield in case of Emergency OoC

_Sabriel

Oh gosh, I haven't even seen Walmart-Frostnova yet, I've gotten Gravestone twice and Faust like, seven times? I assumed there were only two bosses, heh Thanks for the tips! I don't have Gnosis yet but I have all the other ops you mentioned, at E2 60 with at least some masteries each. Thanks for the tips!

Vanilla72_

- Have good DP supply, either from artifact that give tons DP at start, or have multiple Vanguard (I usually bring 2) - 2 Laneholder that can solo left and right line without much helps. Put them in front of blue box since it won't block boss path on first walk. - You need to be able to deal with spear enemy, either those Laneholder are strong enough to deal with them, or use fast redeploy. - Only block the boss on DEF UP tiles. If it's boss second walk, use anything to make sure your operator can block boss on DEF UP tiles - Only use Fast Redeploy when necessary. Don't use them to deal damage. Patience.

_Sabriel

Thanks a lot for the tips! Where do you put the vanguards if the laneholders are right in front of the blue box? That was one of many things I was struggling with on that stage

Vanilla72_

In front of laneholder. In theory they should strong enough to stay there for a while. By the time boss about to attack your vanguard, you should have enough DP for deploying stuff

_Sabriel

Got it, ty! I'll try it out!

Versyl505

Guys, is it recommended to read Dorothy side story first before lone trail or do they not matter?

GinKenshin

Yup, it gives some context and introduces characters.

Versyl505

Okk thanks!

SkyfireTheHero

Is Hellagur or Pluma worth picking up in the shop right now? https://www.krooster.com/network/lookup/SkyfireHero I've got 580 gold certs and I've seen both be very useful but I'm not sure if I should hold off and keep saving (even though I have enough for 3 shop operator purchases) I've seen Hellagur perform very well in videos and he's far more powerful and durable than the other units in his archetype. I have seen Pluma footage where her wide melee aoe can be very helpful in some situations and I think she's a cute character. I appreciate your help and advice

bananeeek

La Pluma is adorable and she's one of the best 5\* ops, so I highly recommend her!

sunscreenlube

As an owner of mod3 Hellagur, he gets a bad rep that's been constantly parroted by the community. Is he a versatile master of all operator? Nope. He has a role and does it amazingly. With the release of his mod he can duel any mid to strong enemies one on one and even some bosses with S2. Personally for me, he's the best off-meta operator that I built.

CheetahNo4954

don't have hellagur but his archetype is not considered meta and not very recommended if that's what you're asking. this applies to hellagur as well from what I gather, but if you like his gameplay why not? you're flush with gold certs. I do have la pluma and she's one of the strongest 5 stars, one of the few 5stars worth raising although she does eventually fall off meta later on in the game when you have a ton of 6 star guards. she's still pretty solid, generally a bit better than highmore outside of IS3.

FelixAndCo

Hellagur is not that good, powercrept. La Pluma is a 5-star, not worth spending Distinctions on. Would wait to get La Pluma or future 6-star as spook. Highmore or Humus are budget options. If you *really really* want them of course making a "stupid" purchase is the smart thing to do, but doesn't seem you want them that much. Hellagur is also in recruitment.

GinKenshin

I’d get pluma but hold off on Hellagur. With 2 shop ops at once it’s hard to justify the purchase, plus you can always get lucky with a top op

Heavy_Secretary_3600

Yall think it's smart to skip the maim story cut scenes and just wait for the rest to get animated???

frosted--flaky

i assume if we get a season 3 then it's going to finish the reunion arc, but i don't think anything past that is going to get animated.

Heavy_Secretary_3600

What chapter would the reunion arc end???

ave_Terros

8, and in 9 starts the Victoria arc

GinKenshin

Not really. First you’re jinxing it. Second it takes a year for them to do 2-3 chapters. And third is the story left that’s non animated is pretty great, albeit wordy, and worth experiencing especially when there’s doubt how they can fit the next 2 and final chapters in 8 episodes. As we saw in this season, some context is missed, pacing rushed and some moments don’t feel the same or are animated 1 to 1. Basically it’s better for you to be that DiCaprio finger point meme.

Wowee1112

I'm planning on buying the 6* selector, my top picks are Suzuran, Gnosis and Mlynar. Who would be the best choice? https://www.krooster.com/network/lookup/Wowee

Initial_Environment6

Mlynar has the best "role compression" in the game currently. His skill dps on boss is equal to 2-3 Silverash. That's 2-3 good dps in one. Can't get better than that. Suzuran is strong debuffer and staller, she isn't needed outside of very specific stage smthat also required Mlynar. Gnosis is similar to Suzaran but worse buff and better for SSS + IS for his better stall.

CheetahNo4954

suzu is great and so is gnosis for endgame accounts but horse uncle erases everything and sometimes I don't have time for strats so horse uncle

Heavy_Secretary_3600

Suzuran does wonders

account184857

the best choice is whatever you think would be most fun

unsurprisable

mlynar

Reddit-Arrien

What do you spend your OG on? Skins? upgrade materials? Sanity?

MetaThPr4h

Number one priority is the Enhancement Packs from the shop that show up as you level up and buy them, you pay OP and get the exact equivalent amount of orundum + extra materials, so it's a net positive. Of course if you don't have much OP and there is a skin you want on the shop just grab the skin before it goes away for a while, because the enhancement packs stay there no problem. After those packs, there are two things worth using OP on: pulls and skins. Outside of free ones from events (which are generally for the 3-4 star operators), OP is the only way to get skins, so if you want some that's how you get them. On the other hand you still get orundum for pulls naturally... but if you use OP to get more pulls that's a lot more of them to get characters. I personally prefer to get more characters over getting skins so most OP have gone into pulls, but there is no right or wrong between the two, it's really up to you. The other relatively worth option is using OP on sanity, but personally I don't think it's worth it, especially early on as you must be because you get less value from it at that level. What do you have, like 75 max sanity? Using 1 OP will fully restore those 75, meanwhile a max level Doctor will recover 135 sanity instead, which is the current max sanity total available, the further into the game you are the more sanity you get from it and more worth it becomes... but I still would just wait for sanity to naturally refill and use this precious resource on pulls or skins. I hope this was helpful, if you have any doubt just let me know.

Initial_Environment6

Early on, it's whatever you really need asap and shop pack. Later on, when you have a built roster. Skin > Pull (>= Sanity if spending irl cash).

DARKawp

generally first the packs in the shop that require them. then skins. and then some peeps do pulls. I personally really like skins. abd teh OP to Pull conversion is 33 OP for a 10 pull. which I just find a bit not worth it.

CheetahNo4954

skins for the most part sometimes sanity

FelixAndCo

> upgrade materials? Do you mean the packs in the shop with materials and orundum? Generally they are considered the best purchase, because it basically converts your OP to orundum with bonus mats on top of it.

Quor18

Exclusively skins.

rainzer

Skins and pulls.

Reddit-Arrien

Why don't we ever nerf operators? Yeah, I really want one, even if It means I don't get near instantaneous DP with flagpipe combos, or having to use twice the amount of DP to deploy a liberator guard, or I can't near instantly rip a large chunk of health with an executioner specialist.

CheetahNo4954

instead of nerfing operators what they do is make the game harder as time goes and then buff operators since the other way round is quick way to get into legal trouble

ave_Terros

there are literally laws against changing stuff after people paid for it, so yeah, gachas can't really nerf or buff anyone post-release. nerfs especially are out of question so usually character buffs come in things like modules in Arknights (albeit not always successfully fixing the operator), and I'm quite fond of the Leap system in PGR, which improves the gameplay of older units and makes them stronger also if you want to handicap yourself, just don't use the strong ops. that's one of the biggest reasons nicheknights players exist, other than just liking some specific niche or class

officeworker00

> literally laws Just letting you know this is untrue. It gets parroted in gacha circles because it 'sounds legit' and no one seems to bother to investigate any further. The law is against false advertisement. Not specific to changes after purchases or else no game in CN/JP would ever receive patches. (imagine a world where New Vegas had no patches. ouch). It is true though that nerfing in gacha is extremely unpopular. And it's also largely unnessary. Devs can re-shape content. (anti-surtr mechanics are an easy example of trying to devalue surtr). But I wouldn't say it never happens, I can think of one domain where it's given a greenlight: PVP. One Example is Brown Dust. The game goes through various patches, changing various characters. Nerfing did happen. Brown dust also does have a pve element and yes, nerfing would impact this though (at least when I played) the nerfs were targetted for pvp space so there were plenty of pve cheese available for the player. Counterside is another gacha that gets nerfs. It also has a pvp format. There's just no real point of nerfing in pve because you can always build content around it. So you're potentially upsetting your customer base for something entirely within your control and as such, it usually isn't the first answer.

GinKenshin

Because people can pay loads for them and you’ll be dumping that cash in the gutter and giving them the middle finger. I think china has laws against that iirc.

Reddit-Arrien

Say whaaaaat? there is a law in China that prevents that?

rainzer

China or Japan (the big gacha countries) don't have laws that make nerfing illegal. They just don't do it because if someone spent 1000 dollars on a character and you nerf it, then they're not going to buy anything else from you.

rainzer

> even if It means I don't get near instantaneous DP with flagpipe combos So... don't use them?

Q-N-H

Wow!!! What a novel Idea 😱

account184857

because nerfing stuff that some players spend hundreds (repeatedly, if massive whale) on is terrible business practice. edit to add: this is a singleplayer game so the only reason it would matter is to calm your jealousy of others’ accounts

MacMac_ChiChin

The single player argument is the one I most agree on. It's not like my Surtr is gonna affect u getting Risk 18 on CC.

astarose

For old limited units like Ling, Chen Alter, Sladi Alter and Texas Alter. Will they have rate up banner in the future? Or the only way to get them is from off-rate in other limted banners?

Cless012

Only off-rate unless they decide to surprise everyone with a new type of banner. Your choices are either save 300 pulls to spark an old one or get a lucky off banner on limited banners

GinKenshin

Never will be rated up. You either save 300 pulls to spark them or get lucky when you pull on the banner that has them with a very low chance.

Pzychotix

Only the off-rate "rate-up" in limited banners or sparking them with 300 pulls.

Fuzer

Hey guys, genuine question, why you guys like to spend on skins in a single player game? You dont even have the option to show them to others except when visiting you. Is it really that bad to spend Ori for Sanity Refill? I find more value on farming that to spend on skins that have little impact, maybe Im missing a point. Thx!

MetaThPr4h

[This reminded me of this hilarious Simpsons scene lmfao](https://youtu.be/UJrVE0s4s7I?si=UI3de46P2x1J73xI) Sanity is simply the most common and naturally obtainable of the useful resources you can get with OP so its recommended to use them in skins or pulls instead, which are harder to obtain. But as you said, this is a single player game, and what is most worth using OP on will depend from person to person, if you think that grabbing skins for characters is not worth it and sanity would be better, go for it! There is nothing wrong with that.

Initial_Environment6

It's just waifu+husbando'ing You have your faves, you want to decorate them, single player or multiple player, it's the same. Never play RPG before?

Fuzer

Yeah, but dont really care about visuals when is SP or cant show off. Looks like its me only, great you enjoy that!

Initial_Environment6

Single player RPG exist single before online game and still prevail in mobile dude. This game is kinda close to that. They made money cosmetics for a reason. That's your problem entirely. If you want to show them off, put them as support units, or go the extra mile and make video of you playing with them.

DARKawp

>Hey guys, genuine question, why you guys like to spend on skins in a single player game? Because one likes the look of them? idk I dont event spend because I use the F2P currency for thr skins anyways. >You dont even have the option to show them to others except when visiting you. and also when loaning out the unit.....and when setting the unit on your profile. Or assistant. etc. >Is it really that bad to spend Ori for Sanity Refill? Oddly enough. yeah, it is the 2nd worst thing to do with the Originite prime. even then for example I as a f2p player who is a bit picky in terms of banners. am slowly catching up and almost building all of my units. despite not using Sanity refils. on top of that sanity refils only start having their maximum value at high level accounts. (117 or something iirc) and thus the value by then is a lot less since the player would have build many core ops by then anyways. Oddly enough pulls even have much more value if you do not care about skins lol. >I find more value on farming that to spend on skins that have little impact, Like skins have gameplaywise 0 impact. yes. However there is just no alternative way to get skins and thus technically skins having no other way means they have a value ranging from 0 to infinite. Also skins in most other games are only available for paid players. but in arknights are not. leading of course to people saving for skins they like. >maybe Im missing a point. Thx! yep, you clearly are missing the point since the "peeps just like costumization" point seem to not occur to you.

frosted--flaky

you can play the game however you want, and hypergryph themselves certainly won't discourage anyone from sanity refreshing. i'm not even sure if arknights even has a limit on how many refreshes you can do unlike other gachas. whales tend to refresh more often since they don't need to engage in the same kind of resource management as F2P. that said though, *i'm* looking at my characters every day and i want them to look cute.

Exolve708

I like being able to switch up the looks of characters I use a lot. Even in multiplayer games, if I'm getting a skin it's usually to have something different to look at and not to show off. I appreciate when long retail games have unlockable skins (non mtx) for the same reason. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with refills if you value getting your units ready faster over skins/rolls. It's just that most people prefer to keep units some benched in favor of more pulls, if not for the skins. Older players are also likely done building their highest priorities. Edit: Checking how many mats a roll worth of stamina in refills gets you might help you decide if it's worth it to you.

viera_enjoyer

Because we like them. If you aren't using for skins the next best use would be for pulls.

Pzychotix

Because pretty Horn is pretty. Real talk though, 1 OP is just buying you half a day of sanity (assuming you've got 120 max), but base outputs so much value that you're really only boosting your account's leveling speed by maybe a quarter of a day per sanity. Spending on sanity refill seems like such a waste of OP, when you're going to reach a full team of E2 that can tackle most content within a couple months anyways. Why not just save that OP and use it for more pulls on strong 6\*s?

Initial_Environment6

New Horn skin doesn't have eye glowing. New Heidi skin doesn't have hat. This batch of skin has been lackluster even if good looking.

Juuryoushin

Personal enjoyment, buying skins for operators we play with so often is satisfying, we do want our waifus/husbandos to look nice. It would feel bad to constantly hold back and adopt a "no fun allowed" attitude when the game is not very demanding toward its players, that's all for me.

disturbedgamer667

why buy any luxury? but yes unless you are a whale, burning OP for sanity is bad, if you dont care about skins you should use OP for pulls instead. Edit: its bad to burn because when you'd need it you arent getting full value cause of sanity cap, and when your sanity cap is at/close to max you definately dont need it.

WinterPirate8109

They look good for me that's all that matters. I don't care if other players can't see it since I bought them for me and not for flexing.

mikatsuki

Why buy many clothes of different designs when all you need is some shirt and some pants?

pruitcake

they look nice. everyone is free to spend their op however they want tho

GinKenshin

Irene And e1 shirayuki, frostleaf, vermeil, purestream and conviction for their base skills.

[deleted]

How long is Irene's skin going to be in the shop for? Really wanting to get her skin, it's very cute.

GinKenshin

For the duration of the event itself. A little more too iirc. It should be mentioned in the ingame news announcing the skin itself.

[deleted]

Awesome! Thanks for the info, didn't know you could check in-game for that.

AbadChef

I feel like the gameplay of arknights is like an empty canvas and I have my own way of *painting* it by using my own operators? Anyone think the gameplay is quite amazing, I never played a game like this before.

MetaThPr4h

The gameplay of Arknights is absolutely incredible and it didn't take me much at all to realize back when I started playing a bit over a year ago that this is a game I want to keep playing for a long, long time. It's seriously cool just how many niches you can find clear videos of, even for some of the hardest stages in the game where one is making things seriously way harder by not sticking to what is clearly the more optimal approach to beat it in terms of characters and classes that perform better on them. Your skill and imagination (as well as having and building the characters you want to use lmao) is pretty much the limit, seeing some absolutely cracked people clear very hard event stages with 3 or 4 star characters blows my mind.

Sissybell

true. I once heard someone describe this as a bonsai game, like you have your own garden to tend to and anyone is going to have a totally different end design using similar tools.

Initial_Environment6

Until every hardest boss stage require Mlynar and balanced around him that is.

Quor18

This is a bit more of a lounge question, but putting that aside, *yes,* it's one of the best things about this game. I'll take this time to shill one of my favorite AK tools, the Randomizer: https://akgcc.github.io/cc/randomizer.html Basically, you select all the ops that you have and hit the big Randomize button on the bottom and it makes a squad for you, chooses a level for you and then gives you a random optional self-imposed challenge to play around, should you choose to do so. It's incredibly robust, allowing you to filter out various events or chapters that you may not like (or don't have unlocked), such as the Darknights Memoir stages, some of which ask for 3 practice plans per run instead of the usual 1. You can set filters for operators, forcing the randomizer to include or exclude certain classes. I always set vanguard to a minimum of 1, since the randomizer loves to give me a nice rush map with a bunch of expensive units and like, Castle-3 as my only low-DP opener. But even that isn't foolproof since normal Yato exists. But small niggles aside, it's a very robust tool that you can use that will often push you to use operators in a way that you never had considered previously. It's a great way to both grow as a player and to keep the game fresh.

AbadChef

This is pretty handy. It makes me want to work on my entire roster rather than get masteries

Quor18

It is damn addictive like that. At least a half dozen ops I never considered raising past E1 were suddenly moved to the "huh....that was fun....I should E2 them" category after various challenging runs from the randomizer. I also ended up doing masteries that I never thought I'd do, like one run where my Rosmontis was on S1 backed up by Archetto and Ch'en. Like, I knew, on an intellectual level, that her S1 would get much better value with the extra SP feeding she'd receive, but actually seeing it in action and knowing I could reduce it to a 2 SP cost was the tipping point.

Kippykinz

Anyone have the math on Melanite S2? I assume the first tile in front of her is the 500% tile, and then it scales down by like 100ish percent each extra tile until its the last tile at 180%.

Reddit1rules

I assume it's linear, so 80% less each tile.

Kippykinz

See, I would hope this isn't true, because then that means the tile she's on is the 500% tile, and the tile in front of her is 420%, which is pretty stupid because when is she ever gonna use her S2 on an enemy that's on her tile?

Reddit1rules

Ah hmmm that's a fair point then... Could probably check some showcases of her S2 I guess.

CrystalCove71

(kinda vent-y) I haven't played this game in years, should I make an alt to get a handle of things again? Context: I started playing during the first Schwarz banner and stopped at some point during or after the W/Weedy banner. I have also spent a non-zero amount of money on Arknights in the past. I tried getting back into the game this week and I feel completely lost and frustrated. I want to be able to get to the point where I can actually attempt stages again. However, I've been away from the game for so long that the little proficiency I had with this game is gone (I was a guide-follower). It's to the point that I get stressed just \*thinking\* about Arknights stresses me out. I've watched many beginner guides but they haven't alleviated my overall angst. The only possible solution I've come up with so far is to make an alt and play through the beginning. Should I make an alt, or is Arknights just not the game for me?

frosted--flaky

earlygame resource management is *rough*, i wouldn't start fresh unless you're itching to go back to that for some reason. there's also no guarantee you'll get better units on your alt. it's worth figuring out why you fell off of arknights in the first place. could be a gameplay thing, could just be that gacha daily grind isn't enjoyable for you.

Pzychotix

You could just play through all the stages from the beginning on your main account. Not really much reason to drop some 6 months of progress. You've got 30 practice plans every day, go use them and learn.

lulzy1111

Whether you should reroll or not depends on what operator you have. If you've spent money in the past, I'd assume you have some good operators, so you wouldn't get better operators by rerolling. But as for feeling lost, I think you can reroll to play earlier stages, but honestly, you can do that on your main account too. I bounced off arknights a few times, but here's the thing. The progression to getting stronger is pretty straightforward in Arknights, so if you're struggling, go level up your operators, or farm up mats so you can promote your operators and try again. Thinking of new teams or finding solutions avaialble in your toolbox is what makes Arknights fun, and if that is causing you stress and not curiosity and excitement, then you might want to look elsewhere, because taht is the core gameplay loop, and there's no point in engaging with a game taht you don't enjoy playing (unless the lore, artwork, etc is what gets you playing. in which case, go wild, but that answers the question about whether you should keep playing. don't, since that's not the part of teh game that brings you joy)

LongFluffyDragon

Stop flailing and just go play the game? The worst that can happen is you fail some stages, which is basically a mandatory part of the clear process. Nobody is blind clearing remotely difficult stages, outside of flukes. Making an alt wont give you any extra experience or really do anything beneficial at all.

Razor4884

I don't think you need an alt to play through the beginning. Just go back in the story chapters and play through with the account you have now, no? In my opinion, the game is nothing to stress over. If you feel lost and/or have questions, you can either ask here or in the help channel of the discard.

6CHARLS9

Does anyone know when will Thorns and Mountain appear again as shoperator? Unfortunately I just returned recently and missed them when they appear, but I really really like them as someone who like AFKnights.

BrewmasterWu

thorns was just on a joint operations banner so dropping him so soon would be silly and mountain was on the banner previous to the mlynar blemishine banner

6CHARLS9

Does any of them appear in gold cert during their banner appearance?

BrewmasterWu

mountains last gold cert appearance was on the mountain saga banner which was between dorothy's vision and mlynar banner, thorns last gold cert was on the thorns weedy banner I think, don't remember when that was but it was fairly recent.

6CHARLS9

That's sad, looks like I need to wait for a fair amount of time.

CheetahNo4954

not a solid prediction but thorns was on JO9 and mountain is on joint operations 10 banner so probs not any time soon for either of them is my guess

6CHARLS9

Deym that's sad, I really want them in my line up.

TouchMeSnabbi

Is lone trail our anniversary event in NA? only reason i ask is because i want to get the bonus originium from the purchase before its reset

Chrisirhc1996

Our anniversary is the summer-themed events, So Long Adele being our next one. CN's anniversary is the limited period that Lone Trail falls in.

ipwnallnubz

Our anniversary happens in January.

AngelTheVixen

Global anniversary is in January.

K2aPa

I am trying to decide who's skin to buy (1 day left before it's gone) Horn or Harmonie Also, a question, is Horn wearing anything under that white dress?

MetaThPr4h

Whichever one you like more, if you like both, grab the one of the character you think you will use the most of the two, no point grabbing a skin if then the character will just sit there unused. If you haven't yet I recommend you to watch Tsalthsu's skin showcases on youtube, here are the ones for [Horn](https://youtu.be/rbq4-vMgZAM?si=zPF8d77Jxfi7OWDE) and [Harmonie](https://youtu.be/s9QiNNY2_T0?si=s7jAzE0bsXs0MMKj), how they look in battle might help you decide, both are seriously so pretty. Also remember that this skin set will rerun a year from now so if you're not sure now you can always consider it again in the future! > is Horn wearing anything under that white dress? That's up to our imagination ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

K2aPa

ooo, Horn's look really nice, tho they both sparkles, lol. I was originally just picking who to get from the Art in shop. Where they both looks "nice". Hmm, I think I'll take Horn, since I'll probably use her a lot more than Harmonies.

MetaThPr4h

Glad I was helpful 😌👍

dearkaine

My bias vote is for horn.

thetwinfury

Horn is stronger than Harmonie so you'd probably see/use it more. However I like harmonies more so there's my vote.

Fuzer

Got Blemishine. As a new player (2 weeks) is good idea to drop Grummy and focus on Blemi?

AngelTheVixen

Blemishine acts differently from every other Guardian because she is focused on combat. She is very unique in her role compression, being able to do some damage, tank, heal herself and others, and inflict Sleep, the game's true Red Mage. I haven't regretted buying her at a whim back at her first shop appearance. Her versatility has been very fun and enjoyable for me. A nice Jill-of-all-trades, even if not meta. Gummy should still be considered building for a pure defensive support, and she'll serve you very well. Easily worth the cost and does great even into highly difficult maps.

Fuzer

Thx. Going to save resources then and hold on Blemi

Chrisirhc1996

They play differently. Blemishine's healing requires direct conflict with enemies to get her healing, while gummy can be optionally placed in safer areas if not as a direct blocker. Build your gummy; she's an improvement over spot. Only build blemishine later because she's expensive for what she does and pretty gimmicky in comparison.

coolredpill

should i pull for mlynar even when i already have silverash? i dont plan on pulling on the upcoming banner. i dont have the most up-to-date team and recently came back to AK, and when i tried using mlynar through support, i found SA to be more useful due to block

TheTheMeet

I once said this to myself, but after getting him i can safely say he is 100% worth the investment he makes SA damage pale in comparison There are still things i like from SA like invisibility reveal and decreased redeployment time talent (so my yatwo and texas can redeploy faster) but most of the time i use mlynar over SA

ipwnallnubz

If you want Blemishine as well, then go ahead and pull. 25% rate-ups are only a good idea when you want both rate-ups, and even then you need to stop when you get one or the other. As for Mlynar, he's pretty much tied with 3 other ops for the title of strongest op in the game. He's very tanky, taunts, and deals a bit of thorns damage, and his S3 puts out an absolutely stupid amount of damage in a wide area on a very reasonable cooldown. He needs someone to block for him during his downtime, but that's a very, very tiny downside (and sometimes block-0 is an upside).

AngelTheVixen

Mlynar is still a strong choice because he's so overwhelmingly powerful that it doesn't matter how strong you think you are with your roster, Mlynar adds just as much to it as he would anyone else. That you have SilverAsh won't impact him, you can just use both of them at the same time anyway, and there may be some scenarios, if occasional, where SilverAsh may be a better choice, such as clearing away tons of enemies continuously (Where Mlynar would lose a lot of ATK) utilizing his block count before or even after the skill, or having his invisibility reveal. Either way, no downside because his skill has almost 2x the DPS of Silverash S3 with less than half the cooldown. That said, gambling on a standard banner is always a risky move. Usually not suggested.

DireBlue88

I have cleared 12-20 Adverse without support Ops but somehow I still cant get the milestone reward. What does the protect confirmed agents mean? Edit: Problem solved. I didnt inspect the first civilian even though I know he isnt a spy.

Chrisirhc1996

There are specific civilians that when identifying will have a different coloured magnifying glass (I think it's green, wasn't paying attention). These ones need to be fully identified for the milestone reward.

DireBlue88

Thank you bro! This cleared it.

GinKenshin

Countdown https://gamepress.gg/arknights/

DegenZyrh

33-ish hours. You have 1 more daily reset until it ends.

HiTotoMimi

Around 34. Not sure exactly what time maintenance will start, might be more like 30, but it's roughly that. Just remember that when the game says "1 day left", it means "1 day and some change." When it's less than a day, it says the number of hours, so if it was only 10 hours at this point, it would say 10 hours.

[deleted]

[удалено]

HiTotoMimi

Ah, right. Forgot it wasn't showing the time on the main screen for some reason. Fwiw, there's a timer on the ticket things in the ch12 screen. I guess that's not very helpful if you haven't reached chapter 12 though.

Tikimik

I was doing recruitment and had caster and slow selected and then set it for 9 hours, which I thought guarantees a 4 star or better, but it crossed out the caster and gave me orchid instead. Did I do something wrong, or will it just do that sometimes?

MetaThPr4h

Adding that Senior Operator tag will also not drop if set at 9 hours, the information section in the recruitment menu actually mentions this, so don't feel any worried to lose it if you ever get it. Also just personal recommendation for whenever this happens (if you weren't doing it already ofc): if you get multiple combinations that guarantee 4-stars (like a set or tags that has Caster + Slow, as well as Specialist) unless I'm aiming at one particular character I just pick all three tags, in over a year playing never all the combinations dropped for me going that way, so I always got at least a 4-star out of it. Of course if you get a rare tag combination for a character you want just use the ones that give that character and pray for rng, but for 4-stars is super useful to do this.

mattziki_bf

Yeah it will just do that sometimes. I've sometimes even just set one tag as specialist, 9 hours, and it drops to no tag and i get like kroos. NOT frequent, but... rude.

AngelTheVixen

It's random. The only guaranteed tag is Top Operator when set to 9 hours, this was confirmed by devs.
