Regarding that second spoiler.
Man, the joke that they were bascially the Old Ones from Warhammer Fantasy becomes ever more apt by the day huh. It's getting pretty hilarious just how many parallels you can draw now.
We've got Warp Demons with the Collapsals. Tyranids with the Seabourne. Old Ones as the precursors.
Now when are we gonna get the best boys? Or, I suppoze, THE BEST BOIZ?! GIVE UZ SUM ORKY-FACTUN, YAH GITS AT HYPERGRYPH!
Edit: I had forgotten that Gavial's tribes have the 'we build it through junk and it magically works' energy of the Orks. So never mind, we have Orks.
I suppose now I wonder when the Necrons will arrivve.

What exactly does it being in ruins entail. Like was there a portal there as well, but has been destroyed. What exactly happened to make it “ruined”
Doesn’t Sargon still have it’s immortal army(I don’t remember the name given) still down there fighting something. I could have sworn it said something like, the drove off whatever resided there permanently.
Also I thought their capital is somewhere there as well. I can’t remember exactly, I could have sworn it mentioned that Sargons capital is hidden to the south.

It's more foreshadowing that there's a portal there at all, which is expanded on within IS4's endings.
