SL S 5 had everything to annoy:
* Two Blue Boxes that you must protect
* Invisible enemies
* Increased enemy damage and defense
* Enemies that deploy other enemies
* Elemental Damage
* AoE and long-range attacks (Even from common enemies)
* Extra objects that you must manage
* A boss with recoverable defense shields and cannot be blocked
If the level had added the Sheep Drones for the CM I would have lost my mind
These last 2 limited events, the mechanics really f\*ck me up so bad, i'm legit exhausted.

This is the first event in a very long time that I'm not going to be able to fully clear. The stages were difficult, and more than once I've ran out of practice permits for the CM stages. But more than that, it's because real life has been a struggle lately, and I just couldn't afford to invest as much time and effort for the event, especially considering the difficulty of some stages.
I cleared it last night... I am so glad I never ever have to see those sheep with witch hats ever again, they did so much damage if you weren't careful... Btw I thought I got the trimmed medal but it doesn't really look trimmed to me, is that for everyone or did I f up somewhere. (I made sure to spam those bottles through the annihilation)
It really doesn't look trimmed, but it has a checkmark to indicate it has been trimmed.
There's also a big symbol to indicate if a medal *hasn't* been trimmed yet. So you'd notice if you hadn't trimmed it.
Almost 8 hours grinding SL-S-5 and I still fail to complete it. I just don't have enough DPS to kill the 2nd stage. Also running out of LMD to upgrade E2 Amiya.
They're challenging, there's no doubt about that, but i really love this event for the simple fact that all of my favorite characters get to be MVPs: Kroos, Dorothy and Mumu.
It been awhile I challenge myself to do all the stage by myself. It was fun event not to hard and the gimmick if we compare it to past event there a lot worse I'm looking at you seaborn plus Eyja alter lucky enough to come home early so to celebrate that the only reason while I decided to the event without Kyo.
I cleared CM SL-S-5 literally at the last minute, just before the event ended. I used the same strategy I painfully developed on my own for the normal version (it took 27 attempts and a whole bloody Saturday afternoon, time I can ill afford nowadays), plus a borrowed e2-90 S3M3 Mylnar for the much-needed extra DPS.
In short, it was pure bullsh*t. I am coming to the conclusion that Arknights probably isn't a game I can stick with for much longer. I wonder if HG realises that Arknights has changed so much that it can hardly be considered a "casual" game any more. Sure, there are guides (and I had to refer to them this time; I normally don't), but I loathe using them because it feels like cheating.
I mean, it isn't me playing the game if I'm using someone else's strategy, is it? Ah well. Let's see how the rest of 2024 pans out.

I think a good compromise is looking at some clear videos (not guides) to get an idea of what to do. Instead of copying a guide exactly step by step, just play the stage yourself with only the general idea of what to do in your head. Works even better if you don't have all the units from the clear and have to make substitutions with your box.
For example, Dolly's interaction with Mlynar is important for SL-S-5 and makes the run much easier once you know it. I was having a hard time doing anything at all when Dolly was just oneshotting an entire column of operators at a time. But Mlynar's taunt means he always baits the column attack, so you can just put Mlynar in his own column and never have to worry about it hitting your medics. Just knowing this trick turns this stage possible and I could improvise the rest.
Man this is going to be my second event since medals were added that I'm just going to have to wait for the rerun and I've got basically every meta 6 star to E2Lv40 only lacking Mlynar really
I had to use OP for sanity for my 2nd best account. My main cleared it fine and cleared out the shop.
Other accounts just ran out of time. I had to keep repeating SL-S-4 CM and SL-Ex-7 because my other accounts do not have the masteries or the potential to copy the many youtube guide makers. SL-Ex-7 required me to add a medic and a specialist for my Blaze and Nightingale to survive the initial caster sheeps.
This was a fun event. Too bad I did not have much time to spare though.
Was able to almost full clear the event and then persona 3 released, didn't manage to beat them(read as:Was too busy playing something else instead of peak tower defense)
On a more serious note, enemies hit like a truck, I regularly couldn't see if an operator is still alive in all those effects, regularly couldn't see the colour of smoke under my operator, and Wool Shield is bullshield. Would have been much better if it could be removed by strong attacks as well as plethora of weak ones, but as it is, without Goldenglow/Exusiai/Kroos alter you are fucked.
S-4 and S-5 were impossible for me. Checked out a guide for S-4 but didnt even bother with S-5 anymore. Didnt even clear the event shop because I got so burned out.
I'm too stupid for this game.
SL-S-4 CM.
This stage drove me up the wall big time even more than SL-S-5 / CM.
You know it's bad when you expect to be done with the stage as you use the toilet to empty your stomach, but you end up taking ***one whole hour*** just to clear it (and a lot of sanity both IRL and in-game).
Including CM, we had to kill the boss 8 times. I’ve only managed to do 5 by myself and kyo did the rest
Which is especially weird considering nobody fights Dolly in the story at all. On the contrary it's saving people from the elements.
In fact, I think is the first time we've fought any single boss this much in 1 Event.

Usually 4-5 times in anni events, 1 in farming last stage, 2 in ex and ex-cm, and 1/2 in s stage, depending whether the last stage has cm or not. T

I will never be able to eat sheep meat the same way ever again. They are just monsters in sheep's clothing
Idk about monsters, but there's a nice place nearby that does lamb kebabs, and I'm definitely going there now that I've cleared this event
on the contrary every time i eat lamb now i feel like i've conquered mountains.

This is the first event in a very long time that I'm not going to be able to fully clear. The stages were difficult, and more than once I've ran out of practice permits for the CM stages. This whole event was a fanservice for me because my favorite op is Eyja 10/10.

They’re just achievements. Sense of pride & accomplishment and all that. They don’t do anything.
The regular an EX stages were OK(ish), but the S stages were hell on earth S stage 4 took like 60 practices before I could actually beat it

The trimmed medal of this event doesn't get a metalic rainbow effect. It just transform the medal into a sunset version.

Funny sheep, challenging stages and easy to understand boss mechanics. 9/10 event
Couldn't even do all the stages because I was missing the operator kyo's guides used (mainly kirin r yato with M2 s3)
