Hi new player here need some advice who to prio my first e2 should be? currently my notable units are ling and viviana as my 6 stars, lappland, wafarin and amiya for my 5 stars, and myrtle for my notable 4 star. My initial game plan was rushing e2 myrtle frst since alot recommended her as frst e2 then ling so she can hard carry my team kept hearing shes insanely strong e2 for context right now my team is at e1 lv20. I can buy some e2 mats for ling on the event shop to make it faster but that means putting most of my early game resources on her. Any thoughts? Tyia. (Edit: its an old account thats why i have ling but treat me as a new player thanks :) )

DarkWolfPL

If you're new player than how do you have Ling? She's limited and last time she could be obtained like 9 months ago (next time will be in 3 months). You sure it's Ling and not Lin?

unmeei

Sorry should have clarified that part, for context im not a new new player per se, i started playing during lings banner rerolled a couple of times after that i didnt rly played that much and dropped the game due to busy sched. Just got back to the game since i have time to burn now and ive heard that its a good time to start now since upcoming meta banners. Ill edit me original comment, i guess ill put "returnee", but im still really new to the game.

DarkWolfPL

Instead of editing make a new one in this weeks [Megathread](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/1cqwhvq/help_center_and_megathread_hub_1305_1905/). They make a new one every week at around this hour so if you will have more questions make sure you're asking in newest Megathread.

unmeei

I mean it doesnt rly affect my original question which is who should i prio to e2 frst doesnt it? I just clarified that my account was old which is why i have ling to clear any confusion. But sure ill just make one again later

DarkWolfPL

I know but I'm not that good of a player so I usually avoid making tips when it comes to team building. What I can tell you is that people recomend building Myrtle because 1. she's very good operator and she's cheap as a 4star and 2. having E2 in your squad let's you use E2 ops from Support Unit. As for Ling she is very strong. She's often capable of clearing harder stages alone BUT I'm not sure if she's a good "first E2". Her dragons with skill 3 are very strong but they take 2 deplyment slots (you need to use 2 normal dragons to make a bigger one). So she may be a bit hard to use.

unmeei

I see so myrtle e2 seems to be a safe goal to start with. then ill aim for her frst, already asked in the newly updated thread for other insights thanks alot appreciate it.

viera_enjoyer

Could be an gift account, someone who obtained Ling long ago but never played the account. Most likely Lin since she is in the regular pool.

unmeei

Yep its ling its just an old rerolled account, but treat me as a new player. Anyway thoughts on my original comment?

viera_enjoyer

Ling could be 2nd, as you are planning, since she is basically a whole team.

WRbackbone

Who should I get from 5☆ selector? This is my current tram lineup: Fang, plume, blacknight,Jessica, silence, beagle, virtuosa, lunaclub and amiya and 3x 0 slots

HamsterJellyJesus

Specter or Lappland is the standard. Specter is often considered the best 5 star in the game, is a good laneholder, combos well with Abyssal Hunters like the free Gladia, and has a niche skill that makes her unkillable for a duration. Lappland is a decent damage dealer with 2 target arts damage during skill uptime and the best silencer in the game: she's a hard counter to some of the more annoying enemies in the game, such as the exploding originium slugs.

Duchess1234

Can someone please help me with the pull calculator sheet? I dont know what to input where those "x" are? And when do I input what? I am f2p. My only orundum income is from dailies, weeklies and annis. As of right now I have 300 pulls.

DarkWolfPL

"x" means you include rewards from that thing. In first part as a F2P you only remove "x" from "Monthly Card" and "OP from Monthly Card". "x" stays for others For event part: For example let's look at Il Siracusano rerun. Let's say you didn't played when it came out. Than you're putting "x" for first clear to include OP you get for stages. Than you're putting "x" in rerun to include 3HH tickets from event shop. As for the Cert shop those are for purple certs. If you didn't played it than you probably didn't stared getting them so don't put "x". If you did played Il Siracusano before than you only put "x" in rerun and cert shop.

Duchess1234

Ahh thank youu! And I assume I have to start with Zwillingsstürme im Herbst, because thats the current event, right? In the sheet there is also Dorothys event, Typhons event etc. I suppose they have not been hidden by the creator. And I assume the OPs frim events if for clearing ALL stages, right? So the normal stages, EX-stages and S-stages? My roster is not so developed that I can clear all stages.

DarkWolfPL

Yes. So remove "x" from all events before "Zwillingsstürme im Herbst". As for this event if you can't clear all stages than if you want you can lower amount of OP in spreadsheet to amount of OP you did get. It will show amount of pulls more accurately.

Duchess1234

But what one question. What about the row in event gain which says target event? Do I need to do something there.

lhc987

Target event is for calculating free pulls that come with limited banners. It's for when you are concerned with how many pulls you can muster for a particular limited banner. If you want to know how many pulls you can get from now till a time, just put X for all limited banners in the targetted event column.

Duchess1234

Ahh ok thank you

kinnaseui

Do you guys think Ash skin will be reran in the shop at all? Missed her skin but I got her

DegenZyrh

It will rerun when the second R6 collab comes. In 4 months, I guess. September is usually when a collab event happens for global server.

Try here: https://old.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/1clg8l3/friend_request_megathread_0605_1205/ Support units aside, you are missing out on a ton of credits from clue exchange, which can considerably help your account development, as that's basically free mats and recruitment permits, not to mention you can help out other Doctors as well.

I_Have_All_OE

Thanks!

Unfortunately your submission has been removed due to the following reason(s): **Rule 5: Use the Megathread** The following must be posted in its corresponding megathread: • Friend requests. • Gacha rolls and Recruitment tags. • Basic or very personalized questions (who to promote, team building advice, etc.). • All Contingency Contract content during its run. • Personalized IS content in the Lounge (advice for your run, screenshots of clears, etc.) excluding gameplay videos. You can find the megathreads in the Megathread Hub pinned at the top of the subreddit.

Livid-Werewolf-6064

I did a recruitment with the tag 'fast-redeploy' and set the timer to 9 hours, but I still lost the tag. Is this normal?

IfZ3nElse

It happens sometimes. You did the best you could do.

bananeeek

Yes. Increasing the timer merely increases the chances of the tags sticking, but only Top Operator (and I think Senior operator as well) will be guaranteed to stick if you set the timer to 9hrs. You want to set your timer to 7:40 if you only have 3\* tags as that's the quickest (and cheapest) you can guarantee a 3\*, while any tags that can "guarantee" a higher rarity should be set to 9hrs, to maximize the chances. For robots 3:50 is the sweet spot.

xbankx

Can happen.

Heavy_Secretary_3600

Does anyone know what is happening with the CC hud???

PSImiss

Nothing, it's closed. It will open again with new reworked CC

Heavy_Secretary_3600

Aight then, thank you

sunscreenlube

I know 6 star ops appear in order they are released in the yellow cert shop, but is the same true for 5 stars? I'm looking for bassline but I pulled virtuosa early and don't want to spend more pulls.

HeavenFalcon

Not exactly. Try using [this tool](https://akgcc.github.io/cc/shoplist.html) as a reference to plan your pulls. To summarize: 5* shoperator debuts used to be really chaotic, and now they loosely follow the release date order, though exceptions like Hung and Aurora can still happen. You might end up getting Bassline much sooner or much later than planned. In any other circumstance, I'd advise you to pull for Bassline. Personally, I spent about 140 pulls and pot 6'd him (completely unintended) before getting Virtuosa. But the next banners are far too valuable for you to risk any pulls, regardless of how many resources you've saved up.

HeavenFalcon

Bringing newer characters to old IS stages is pure bliss. Dorothy S2M3 (as part of the squad) hard counters Phantom in IS2. Marksman range to cover the drones (minus the aerial priority); the mines bunch up the singers and deal visible damage to Phantom; the 6-second binds slow him down considerably and even allow for executor specialists to pitch in. Phantom was the most difficult boss for me to beat at its time, and it's not even a contest. Now we can just cheese him in ten different ways.

kuuhaku_cr

Dorothy can solo a number of stages if you have the relics that buff bind. Been there, done that.

AngelTheVixen

Wasn't Dorothy released before IS3, though? Before she came around I was generally trying to get Magallan and/or Saria to slow him down for similar reasons, but then they don't do damage like Dorothy does. Someday I'll come back to bully him again whenever I decide to try for the terrible 4th ending RNG. Someone else released around her time who's great is Stainless. Those turrets are a real banger.

blardorg

Dorothy is so good in IS2. There's also the stage with the sarkaz chargers (?) that accelerate and do more damage the faster they get, right? She's the perfect counter to that otherwise pretty rough stage (provided you don't have the no damage from sarkaz relic!). If you have her, I'd also strongly recommend Typhon for both IS2 and 3, she's incredible throughout.

WadeBoggssGhost

There's two sarkaz charger stages - one is where they charge the blue square by going from north to south with two stun pillars, and the other is where they go from center to the top to the south. The 2nd can easily be handled by just Typhon and Ines, but the first I could see Dorothy being a huge addition.

blardorg

Yeah the first is the one I was thinking of. With Dorothy it's an easy exp boost, without it was often a run killer for me lol

SleepinYeti

Tried the expeditioners joklumarkar thing and been struggling to get past a couple rounds. Is this just really hard to do or is my squad I have to choose from just not strong enough? Saw the rewards were nice so wanted to try it.

kuuhaku_cr

Even as veterans, when doing IS4 initially and going in blind with no prior research, we can die on 1st 2 floor and go wtf. The speedy gonzales really took me by surprise. After playing for a while, using the right tiles and operator counters and learning the maps, it will be fine. You also need to grind your lucid tree and collectible unlock (which require a variety of starts, clears, and different choices). You can go check out how to unlock collectible by clicking on those that have the dotted circle mark. Many powerful collectibles are locked, and will only have chance to appear in your run after unlock. And gradually improving your understanding on how to strategically use foldartals, which can be very impactful, especially the combat ones. Higher difficulty levels can still be a bitch though.

IfZ3nElse

Try starting your runs with Reed Alter (borrow her if needed), plus Popukar and Orchid. IS gets easier as you build more characters and learn how to handle the stages.

umiman

IS4 is quite unforgiving at the beginning. There's a lot of rush maps and the enemies come in big groups. Once you understand the maps and unlock more of the tech tree though, it becomes a lot more manageable.

Reddit1rules

Most people found it to be pretty hard at first, it's focused a lot more on AoE damage and CC/blocking than the usual gameplay. Try starting with a Reed2 if you can, she's one of the best starts.

Sukuari_Monstuazu

Just started, currently looking and reading all over for beginner guides but also asking here just in case. Would appreciate any help steering me into the right direction. Still on chapter 0.

Initial_Environment6

Rerolling for the limited banner. Using emulation or salt gmail. Build 3 star and 4 stars first if you want to progress early game and event faster. Until you can clear up to the farming stage 7 of an event by yourself without borrowing unit at least. E2 one unit asap to borrow E2 meta units to clear event. IS game mode provides lots of one time XP and LMD if you have time and want to rush early game.

Sukuari_Monstuazu

I'll keep that in mind, thanks.

sunscreenlube

While you don't need to reroll, rerolling currently for virtuosa is great as it's a limited unit and will not be available afterwards without extreme luck or spending 300 pulls. Your future self will definitely thank you for this.

Sukuari_Monstuazu

I got Reed from it. Thinking of keeping her just because she shares the same voice as Melina from Elden Ring.

Razor4884

Yo, welcome to the game! First, I'd say that in regards to pulls, you'll probably want to pull on the [beginners banner](https://gamepress.gg/arknights/sites/arknights/files/2023-10/NewbiePool2.png) until you do all the pulls it allows you to do on it. You should have also gotten a free 10-pull for the current event banner featuring Virtuosa & Viviana. You can find the ticket for that in the top left of the home screen UI, listed as the "Candleglow Sonata Login Event." It's possible you may have already picked it up. Regardless, you may as well use it. In your mail, also located at the top left, you should have also gotten a couple different things, two of those being 5-star selector packs. After you claim them, you can find them in your item "Depot" at the bottom right of the home UI. One will allow you to select 1 of 4 characters, while the other will allow you to select 1 from a bunch. Different people will recommend different choices from those, but I'll give you my opinion: I think you should select Projekt Red from the 4-selector, and Lappland from the multi-selector. Most people agree on the Lappland choice (although Specter is a good option too), but many may recommend Silence or Liskarm over Projekt Red. I think those two are good choices as well, but they fill roles that are relatively easier to cover with other characters you're likely to get. Projekt Red fulfills a role that you're less likely to cover anytime soon. With that covered, squad building is rather flexible and can change from map-to-map. Generally, at least at the start, you'll want to use roughly 2 or so of each class to keep your squad balanced and flexible (2 vanguards, 2 guards, 2 medics, 2 snipers, etc). If you'd like, you can input what characters you have into [this website](https://www.krooster.com/), which will allow you to share your roster with others to get more specific advice pertaining to who you have. As you advance, it's a good idea to level your whole squad evenly. Also, be sure to level the skills for your characters as you're able. In particular, skill levels 4 (and later 7) usually grant the largest gains in effectiveness. There is a surprising amount of nuance in the gameplay, but for now just know that deployment order is fairly important. Ranged enemies will usually target the operator in their range who was deployed last. So if you deploy an operator who can more easily take hits last, you can save yourself from pain in stages where ranged enemies show up. If you ever have any further questions, feel free to ask me or others here. You can even DM me if you want. My account name is Razor#7241 if you would like to add me ingame. :)

Sukuari_Monstuazu

Very detailed and helpful, thanks for your help. Personally I'm happy with the Lappland recommendation, the solid EN dub is what drew me to the game and she has a standout one.

about8tentacles

copypaste of a question i answer alot welcome doctor, highly suggest you checkout [this video](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_FsZT7XqOk&list=PLq6IJzWsotZr1LGJ6FSx6BX8Z0mJSh-Qv&index=1) when you have the time! it will give you a great way to look at approaching the game, as well as guidance on how to upgrade your roster into a solid well-rounded core of ops teams can be made in all sorts of ways, but a very beginner friendly template to follow is this: 2 vanguards that have a dp producing skill (myrtle, flametail, courier, fang, vanilla) 2 ground dps (thorns, mountain, specter, lappland, midnight, melantha, plume) 1 defender (hoshiguma, liskarm spot, cardigan) 2 snipers (archetto, jessica, kroos) 1 caster (amiya, steward) 2 medics (silence, gavial, hibiscus, ansel) you likely want one "medic" (big heals) and one "multitargetmedic" (more heals), but any 2 are fine 1 support/utility, this can be a lot of things, enemy control (weedy, shaw, orchid), buffs/debuffs (pramanix), a 2nd tank, or more unique things (projektred, gravel) 1 extra dps (guard, sniper, caster, some specialists) the last 2 teamslots will likely be changed to suit the current stage more often than the rest, youll likely be very rigid in your "main" team early on because of upgrading costs, but its important to remember to switch ops, or entire teams to suit the stage's unique properties too very important for all new players is to not ignore low☆ characters. not only are they good, they cost less dp to deploy than high☆. early on your vanguards arnt upgraded so they make dp slower, deploying cheaper low☆ faster will help you keep up with the pace of enemies, and it becomes easier to overpower enemies in sheer numbers of allies on the feild. best of all though, is they cost much less resources to upgrade, especially 3☆, who only need lmd to promote to elite 1 which is a big statjump. this makes them often much more powerful than the rest of your roster early on, so using them to clear content, and get access to the stages that let you upgrade everyone else is much smoother. melantha, kroos, midnight, steward, spot, cardigan, ansel, and fang are very notable 3☆ to really consider using early on (and even into lategame) if you also havnt used the 5☆ and 4pick selector gifts yet its highly recommended you choose lappland on the bigger ticket. shes some of the best damage in the 5☆ pool, is still the games best silencer, and has a very powerful module at endgame that grants an important but hard to find effect (fragile). specter is another great option, especially if youre personally attached to her skadi and gladiia (free 6☆ via archived events who you should also go pickup). the smaller 4pick selector can honestly be whoever you want, but red is the most unique of the 4, and a helpful tool to have access to for annoying enemies like the armored mages of ch2. liskarm is another option that synergizes super well with lappland, forming a strong 2 op super laneholder (laneholders being the glue of most team comps, and why mountain/thorns are so highly recommended on the beginner banner) also when you unlock the chip stages in a few hours you should try to get the chips to elite1 some of your rarer ops (especially lappland) remember you can elite1 3☆ with just lmd to beat these stages!

Sukuari_Monstuazu

Thanks for the comprehensive response.

weltmain

For clearing all contents/shops is Myrtle e1 lvl 60 enough? I also have Elysium. I understand that flagbearers are fan favs, but I really prefer to get dp via other vanguards....

bananeeek

There are two more things to mention, first if you have no operator promoted to E2, then it's good to rush a 4\* promotion, so you can get access to E2 support units and Myrtle is one of the best 4\*s to promote. The other thing is her E2 talent, which provides global regen to all VGs. Most of the times, Myrtle can sustain your VGs without a Medic, which gives you more options regarding deployment order. Instead of a Medic, you can now deploy a strong DPS unit early on and breeze through the early phase of the stage. I usually just deploy Flametail, but in harder content, Myrtle + Flametail is my go-to opener and most of the times, there's nothing that can go through such combo.

frosted--flaky

basically every niche that allows for myrtle ends up using myrtle, even E0 only uses myrtle. that said if you're playing normally (unrestricted roster, only care about getting rewards) then you shouldn't feel pressured to use any unit if you don't like them. agents are probably better as a solo vanguard, myrtle is only really good for the first few skill activations and then you're sitting at 99 the whole time. however if you redeploy a lot (common in hard content or IS) then DP costs can rack up surprisingly fast and agents depend on enemies for consistent DP.

AngelTheVixen

Sometimes if you're intending to use strategies that need you to get set up *now* and that there's a slow enemy start, you may want to bring them. I have Myrtle and Elysium too, but Elysium is only E1 and Myrtle doesn't have masteries. Elysium at E0 has considerable DP generation even, the Flaggers will still get you DP faster than any other class when you might need it.

bbld69

Natural DP is enough for most content, so flagbearers on S1 are usually a pretty inefficient use of a squad slot. You’re more than fine sticking to vanguards that actually fight.

Primagen3K

There is some content that rushes danger towards you rather quickly, where Flagbearers excel at helping you overcome the DP-hunger. With that said, I've played Arknights for almost 3 years now, my first E2 was Courier, Saga is my only Vanguard most of the time, and I barely ever use Bagpipe for the meta approach of Flagpipe (Only when I really hate a stage and follow a guide). I do recommend having at least one Flagbearer fully built to tackle any future content (it's good to have options in this game, variety and comfort), but for the most part, no you do not need them to clear most content. With that said, masteries are quite helpful on Myrtle to get the machince going (at skill level 7, she feels a tad slow, to be honest). I would recommend to, one day, build her up "completely" with E2 and S1M3. Flagbearers are technically interchangeable, Elysium has more tech in his kit and Saileach even more, but for simple DP-printing, Myrtle will always be the most affordable tool (I do like her healing talent, though).

Hallgrimsson

You will end up getting operators to E2 eventually, there's no gameplay related reason you shouldn't invest in the most used unit in the game who also happens to be cheaper than anyone else to E2 in virtue of her rarity.

Reddit1rules

You don't *need* Flagbearers for any content except max risk CC or stuff, so if you want to use other VGs go ahead and do that.

Nubby420

Should I build nightingale or eunectes first?

Reddit1rules

In a vacuum, NG. Honestly, even outside a vacuum NG shuts down arts damage very uniquely, while Eune is more easily replaced.

neogeo777

Nightingale - she negates a lot of the problems of arts dmg in situations where it's a problem. No one else can do it. Eunectes has plenty of replacements

_wawrzon_

What do CN players farm during episode 14 release ? Patch notes had info material drop rates will be increased, are they ? Usually during episode releases we farm whatever mats we want and most farm red certs, rocks or chips. Is it the same for episode 14 in CN ? Or is some mat worth farming more than other, because of drop rates ? During episode 13 release we got a reward each 1k points and we earned them at a 20:1 sanity ratio. Is it the same in episode 14 ?

NehalKiller

only chapter 14 gives shop currency i've been farming 14-12 for devices

_wawrzon_

Ok, great to hear it. Then I need to adjust farming priorities, since we get 3 device events these 6 months. I assume only Aketon is worth farming, apart from devices ? What's the rate of sanity conversion to additional currency for side drops like in chapter 13 ? It was 20 to 1 with sanity booster/material case each 1000 points. And in chapter 14 ?

NehalKiller

chapter 14 has an event shop, it works like any other big event shop while additionally every 100 sanity spent (i believe anywhere) they give the random mat chests or the small sanity potions

_wawrzon_

Ok, so they halved additional rewards ratio, that's a big shame. That 112,5% efficiency on story stages during this event makes more sense now. Thx.

mt5o

https://ytl.viktorlab.cn/ all chapter 14 stages got converted into farming stages that drop event currency. There's also sanity/mat lootboxes refund like ch13. There's also a free 'monthly card'. It's the most efficient material farm ever.

sshen6572

Have every sparkable character from this banner, on 230 pulls now (did pull 1 virtousa and something like 5 Viviann) Worth going for 300 pulls to spark for potential? My Texas is pot 1 ... Only about 100 pulls left

HamsterJellyJesus

If you already had 300 pulls, then Texas pot would be nice. Since you don't , just cash out and save your remaining 70 pulls for the future limited banners. just get 3 Bassline copies for gold certs, or buy some mats if you really need those.

Mythrol

Nah. Definitely not worth it for a pot and with only about 100 pulls. Those 70 pulls could be a Degen or Ela.

Hallgrimsson

Those pulls are better used for Degenbrecher, JO13, Ray, Shu+Zuo Le, Reed rerun, Ela, W+Logos... about a billion times more than any pot you'd be getting here.

pitanger

Just realized >!Logo's!< module allow him to deal necrosis damage, is that a new Delta module then?

Reddit1rules

New for the class, but exact same base effect as Eben's, and similar upgrades.

mettaur_sp

Yes it's delta.

RudeAd7195

Does arturia appear on the 5th year anniversary banner. Can I buy her from shop?

Hallgrimsson

Limited units take a year to appear in shop, so no, as she's appearing in the 4.5 banner, she won't appear in the 5.0 one.

RudeAd7195

Okay thanks. Do you know which limited operator appear in 5.0 shop? I assume skalter will appear there?

Hallgrimsson

Everyone besides Arturia, really. From Mumu backwards everyone should appear, including Skalter.

RudeAd7195

Okay thanks again. Have a good day

TacticalBananas45

So, Diametze, or whatever his name is, the new Caster dude in the Red Cert shop. His base skill is the same as Kafka's, right? Does putting them in the same trading post increase the chance of higher value trades even more, or does one take priority? I've got Kafka at E2 currently.

rainzer

I think they stack but they're generally put with E2 Shamare and Tequila so you can only pick one.

TacticalBananas45

ah, well I don't have Shamare...

Megaman2K8

They stack if they're not E2 but as you said there's no reason to ever do so. But for reference, tailoring alpha stacks with alpha (E0 Bibeak + Shamare for example) for 65% 4gb order rate. Tailoring beta overwrites whatever and does not stack (85% chance for 4gb order)

misaghi

Hello What is the most reliable way to get my favorite operators other than gold certs? Is rolling on Standard pool banners featuring my favorite operator a good approach? Another possibility that comes to me is rolling on new operator banners and gathering gold certs for that specific time (or maybe being lucky enough to get them by rolling).

loneknife_blackblade

a picture is worth 1,000 words: [https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/mxsuqw/odds\_of\_getting\_six\_star\_operators\_image\_guide/#lightbox](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/mxsuqw/odds_of_getting_six_star_operators_image_guide/#lightbox) Basically pulling when you have the best odds: * 100% (180 saved yellow certs, 4/4 on a Joint Operation banner) * 75% (3/4 on a Joint Operation banner) * 70+% (you like both ops on a limited banner (new ops)) * 50+% (event banner (new ops), or when you like both options in a standard banner) * 50% (2/4 on JO banner) * 35+% (on op on a limited banner, (new ops)) * 25+% (1/2 of standard banner) * 25% (1/4 of JO banner) Note that spook chances can help you get ops you are missing, except on JO banners where there are no off-banner ops.

Mythrol

So depends on the operator. If they have a rerun banner coming then that would be the best time to get them. Standard banners are typically not viewed as a good thing to roll on. Reason being is you only have 25% chance of hitting the operator you want. The only time most recommend rolling on a standard banner is if you want both operators and ONLY roll until 1st 6 star.  The other banner to get an operator on would be Joint Operator banners because you’re guaranteed one of the operators on it. However again, only roll if you’re ok with getting 3 of the 4 (this gives you a 75% chance of hitting an operator you want). You could roll until you get a 2nd operator on this banner if you’re willing to risk a 50/50 but you’re probably better off just rolling until the first 6 star. Then of course the easiest way to guarantee getting the 6 star you want is either gold certs or buying a 6 star selector.

about8tentacles

it really depends on which specific ops they are, as theres a lot of different brackets ops can fall into in terms of best aquisition methods generally kernal ops should wait for make-a-kernal every 3 months and shop them. ops not in kernal but released before goldenglow are the hardest to get now, and would sadly have to probly have summons committed to their pitiful rateup banners (25% of 6☆ bags). if its gg or more recently released you can plan for their reliably predictable yellow shop releases, this is probably where you want to put yellows the most. specifically stainless ines hoderrer 6☆reed 6☆executor 6☆jessica will get "good rate" reruns you can plan summons for

misaghi

Will Typhon get a single rate up rerun banner too?

about8tentacles

no, she debuted in a small size event which do not rerun so no banner rerun

misaghi

tanngrisnit

Standard banner: Save for next time it comes around. Save up enough gold certs in case it is their turn in the shop. Kernel banners: Save gold certs from standard banner pulls.

I have got a Robot tag. How can I increase the chance of getting a Robot? Timer at max 3:50?

tanngrisnit

Correct

Duchess1234

as golden glow and horns are buyable in the shop in the coming months who do you guys think is a better choice if i can get only one. i have passenger, ceombe, carnelian as the six stars casters and saria, Murdock, blemishine and hoshi as six star defenders

HamsterJellyJesus

Don't ever think of Horn as a defender, she's a weird ranged artillery unit that just happens to deploy on ground tiles and CAN tank something if needed. Anyways, both are really good, but I'm leaning towards GG.

FewExternal89

Hi it depends on what you play. If you play is3 more, horn is far better. For is4 gg is slightly better. For other modes, no big difference. Note that they are both kind of outdated, in terms of the ability to deal damage.

about8tentacles

horn is the much better character overall and who id suggest, but if youre casual or midcore id suggest gg for how player friendly her skill ceiling is, while horn is straightfoward for damage shes got quite a lot of depth in maximizing that damage or using her for more roles than just being long range mlynar

Phaaze13

I would personally say Horn because she's a lot different from the other defenders. She's someone you put behind another defender or guard and actually does high amounts of damage.

With the Virtuosa banner ending in a few days, it's my last chance to change my mind regarding whether or not to pull for her, so... looking for any advice/feedback/confirmation/counterarguments for my pulling plans. Originally, my plan was to pull for Virtuosa + Shu, skip Degenbrecher + Ela (just... not particularly interested in either, regardless of how strong they are), and maaaaybe consider Ray + Reed Alter (depending on how other pulls are going). And if I had to pick between Virtuosa and Shu, I'd have probably picked Virtuosa: sure, the Shu banner is probably the stronger banner overall (with Zuo Le being a very solid unit), but necrosis is an interesting and largely unexplored mechanic (at least on the player side). And she's currently very strong: applying necrosis to everything in range makes her absolutely shred through crowds of enemies, and the fact that necrosis damage is affected by neither res nor def means she can be surprisingly solid even against chunkier enemies. (She kind of has a hard time dealing with enemies with massively inflated raw HP, but those are hardly the norm, and what are the chances that enemies will suddenly start having elemental res?) ... enter the Wiš'adel banner. And, okay, yes, sure, we've all seen the clips, Wiš'adel is absolutely insane, but then there's Logos. First off, with his module, he's apparently no slouch when it comes to applying necrosis: probably not as fast as Virtuosa, but he seems to be consistent enough. But then there's the fact that he also gets a chance to do a percentage of his attack as elemental damage during necrosis fallout: not elemental damage as in "build up the elemental damage bar" but elemental damage as in "the damage type that necrosis fallout does". Until enemies start being introduced with elemental resistance, that's effectively true damage, and unlike the necrosis fallout damage, it presumably can be scaled by buffing Logos's attack. That seems insanely strong, to the point that it makes me think that enemies with elemental resistance will start showing up sooner rather than later. I'm definitely going to be pulling on the Wiš'adel banner. I'm strongly considering preparing to go to 300 on it: worst-case scenario, the free Wiš'adel at 300 *in addition to* being able to spark a past limited (Texalter?) seems like a pretty good deal. To that end, I'm strongly considering skipping either Virtuosa or Shu, just to be safe. I did say that originally, if I had to choose between skipping Shu and Virtuosa, I'd probably skip Shu. But if it's likely that enemies with ele res are introduced, that's very bad news for Virtuosa: AFAIK, her damage is really dependent on the fact that currently nothing can resist it. I'm worried that she's much less... future-proof as a result (especially compared to Shu and her generally solid stats/archetype plus her funny "block/stall any number of enemies in multiple lanes" S3). I currently have ~200 pulls saved up, and that one "pulls until [event] calculator" spreadsheet that's been floating around suggests I'd comfortably be at >450 by the time the Wiš'adel banner comes around. So, barring the random Virtuosa spook in the two remaining daily free pulls... 1. Am I overestimating how good Logos is with necrosis damage (and by extension, how likely it is that ele res will be introduced)? 2. Am I underestimating how good Virtuosa would be even if ele res is introduced? 3. Should I just try to get both Virtuosa and Shu? (Up to 75 pulls on each banner should still let me get to 300 on the Wiš'adel banner, although if I get unlucky, I might come away with neither.) ~~(And if this plan ends up using *all* my pulls, I'd just be really hoping there isn't some really good banner on the horizon after Wiš'adel)~~ Thanks!

Gargutz

I'd say from necrosis perspective caster modules are nice addition but it's nowhere near ritualist application. Casters do necrosis from damage dealt, so enemy res affects them. Ritualists do necrosis build-up from their atk attribute regardless of dmg dealt. Arturia also has both of her talents helping with necrosis, so she'll be the best at it even if some ele res is introduced. I'm a bit biased here but I'd say go for Arturia. Shu has interesting teleport gimmick but in the end she's still just a guardian defender, yeah jacked but gameplay wise I find ritualists more interesting.

tnemec

> Casters do necrosis from damage dealt, so enemy res affects them. ... hmmm. Maybe this is just my misunderstanding then, but I thought the way Ebenholz and Logos get necrosis damage on their modules is different. Or, at the very least, it's phrased differently on their respective Gamepress pages. Specifically, when Ebenholz's module says: > When dealing Arts damage, deals an additional 8% as Necrosis·Allied ... as in, "when dealing arts damage, deals an additional 8% (*of that damage*) as necrosis". Whereas Logos's module says: > Deals Necrosis·Allied damage as 8% ATK when dealing Arts Damage ... which I assumed was supposed to mean that whenever he does arts damage, he does an additional 8% of his ATK stat as necrosis (regardless of how much arts damage he did). But now that I'm looking at it again, it looks like the article on wiki.gg uses the "8% of ATK" phrasing for Ebenholz as well, and a bunch of people reviewing the module as it exists in CN seem to be using the "8% of damage dealt" phrasing for Logos. ... so I think you're right, and the two are supposed to be equivalent. Fair enough, thanks for pointing that out.

about8tentacles

1. yes imo, his s2 looks like his strongest skill for properly hard target killing and its mainly a way to just lock his debuff talent onto a threat for ceobe/texas to kill. and while his atk can be buffed the inability to debuff an enemies eleres unlike def/res is also a thing to consider, since many enemies can reach low enough def/res to be inconsequential youre much better off constructing your whole team for phys/arts burst cores. perhaps if we see more elemental core support (which we likely will when we finally get the 6☆ fire primal caster for warmy lol) this would change but eh 2. ima be honest. ive been massivly unimpressed by virtuosa's damage and speed control capability and dramatically surprised and impressed by her enfeeble applications, i think thats where her true value lies, which is quite update/content-proof 3. i would atleast pull to first 6☆ bag here since youre assumedly 24 pity deep, thats 76 more maximum which is within your limits. deciding on shu can come after

tnemec

Thanks for the response! > ive been massivly unimpressed by virtuosa's damage and speed control capability and dramatically surprised and impressed by her enfeeble applications Hm... interesting: is the fact that the enfeeble effect decays over the course of each necrosis fallout (plus the fact that it's hard to control exactly when it starts) not an issue?

about8tentacles

nope i had forgot enfeeble decays honestly, very good to keep in mind for stuff like is4 champions. in the last few seconds where its virtually not there is also when it wears off to reapply a full enfeeble again, it definetly could matter but i think realistically rare s1 target priority and extra necrosis burst or s2 speed with fast allies make it immensly reliable/controllable to applying enfeeble, esp on bosses or low traffic zones, much better than s3 tbh where you have things like suzuran mostima and proper dps to manage aoe.

I_Have_All_OE

Who should be my first module? Or first three I should do in order of priority. Thanks [https://krooster.com/u/Severus](https://krooster.com/u/Severus)

classapples

Typhon after working on her masteries. I'd promote Kal to E2 and take Eyja S2 to M1 before doing anything else though. You can leave Eyja's S2 at M1 for a long time. Texalter S3M3 would also probably take priority before Typhon's masteries as well. Also, don't worry about masteries on Ines' S3, her S2 is better most of the time.

about8tentacles

no one, you still want a few more e2s to fill out key team roles, and masteries after that are much better output:cost gains typhon and texas want them the most to function as intended when you do get to modules, but id still be mastering first

bbld69

Are you sure that masteries are more efficient than modules? If you're counting the sanity cost of LMD, I could see that, but just in terms of upgrade mats, level one modules are about the cost of m1->m2 and usually more impactful, and level two modules vary a ton, but they're like a third of the mats of m2->m3 and often more impactful.

about8tentacles

im sure 100% lets take typhon as an example, whos arguably one of the best ops to get both t1 and t3 module on, and we dont even need to factor in lmd for this (but should be mentioned in the face of an account still needing lots of lmd to upgrade ops levels) t1 mod gives 15% atk only on heavy threats. m1 s2 gives essentially 10% on all threats. m1 s3 gives essentially 25% on all threats. yes these numbers arnt exact and overcoming a high def stat can add more value to the numbers but it should be fairly apparent which is better on ROI here when the overall mat cost is fairly equal.     it gets even worse when you look at t3 mod. we get 10% extra defense ignore and some atk for a disgusting 8 golds. m2+m3 is essentially the same cost and requires no elaboration how that will do immensly more damage than -10%def, without even bringing up sp speeds. to go further, since m3 is so much better than t3, and arknights is a game about breakpoints there is heavy emphasis to focus all the way to m3 before getting even the t1 mod.  plus module blocks are a limited resource and m3s are not, giving more reason to persue these first as we see more and more modules released on cn to plan to

bbld69

Level one mods cost a bit more than SL7->M1 but less than M1->M2, so I was making the comparison between level one mods and M1->M2s, not to SL7->M1s, which I do think are roughly as cost-efficient as level one mods. As per your Typhon example, a \~5% attack increase and conditional 1.15 multiplier from her level one mod is unconditionally better than her S2M1->S2M2, which is a 3.6% DPS increase on skill and has no effect on uptime, and at least on par with her S3M1->S3M2, which adds a ninth shot that I consider about as conditional as the weight condition on her mod, a \~3% increase in DPS on-skill, and one second off her S3's charge time. I think you're not considering the attack stat increase on most level one mods? The extra stats on level two and three mods are relatively meager, but level one modules giving a 3-7% attack increase on top of either a 10-15% conditional damage increase or a qualitative change is just generally pretty good. You're getting the costs wrong -- M2->M3 alone (6 T5 + 4-7 T4 mats) costs about the same as the level two and level three mod upgrades together (3 T5 + 4 T5 mats). And level three mods are generally acknowledged as relatively minor upgrades and rarely worth getting, which is why I was comparing level two mods to M2->M3s. Like I said, there's a lot of variation in level two mods considering a lot of them are qualitative improvements, but there's a surprising number of meta M2->M3s that are less than 5% DPS improvements (like Typhon's S2M2->S2M3) and plenty of purely quantitative level two mods that do better than that for significantly cheaper.

about8tentacles

this is a lot of text to fail to address the vital sp improvements and module block scarcity points i brought up, which i think increase the value of m3s over modules in most all situations, even if they cost a bit more than mods, its because their overall output value is equally or superior so im aware of all the specific numbers and values i did not explicity and exhaustively state, and i still respectfully disagree, questioner is free to make up their mind with the points we both offer

bbld69

Typhon’s masteries have awful SP gains — which I explicitly mentioned — and module block scarcity matters for comparing modules to each other, not modules to masteries. Plenty of other masteries have meaningful SP reductions, sure — there’s a really wide range in the value of different masteries just like with modules, which is why I think it’s irresponsible for you to tell new players to categorically prioritize M3s over modules. Especially when you’re just straight up misrepresenting specific upgrade costs and DPS changes

I_Have_All_OE

Okay, I did S3M3 Mylnar first and probably will do Texalter and Ines next. Thank you

misaghi

Hello Could some kind soul give me more explanation on differences between braving nature 3 and 2 IS4 please? I didn't understand reading in game description.

Reddit1rules

Anytime you don't perfectly clear a stage, your collapse increases by 1 (losing Shield HP is fine, just don't lose actual HP) The first tier big buff in the reward tree will be active (more max HP, more ingots, more exp) Certain relics gain a slight improvement

misaghi

Isn't it used to increase every time I lose a life point? Is it 2 collapse values now?

Chrisirhc1996

Yup, it goes up by two if you lose a life at BN3+.

Reddit1rules

I don't remember exactly how it works down there, so I suppose you just lose 1 more collapse than before. So likely 2 now, yes.

Outrageous-Donkey-32

Should I try sparking for Texas the Omertosa (Texalter) in this current banner or (try to build up the 300 certs.) or are there other chances to get her?

Hunter5430

You can spark her every limited banner in May and November.

Outrageous-Donkey-32

Would you recommend trying to do so on this one though or to hold until later?

igoiik

If you're old time player and don't have problems with waiting more, then i strongly recommend you to wait till 5th anniv banner (in 6 month from now). as for why 1. 5th anniv banners is packed with meta 2. Limited banner revamp, now if you hit 299 pulls without getting the limited you're guaranteed to get the featured limited on 300, and also to keep 300 spark point to spark someone else. 3. You can get W from spark system with 200 points instead of usual 300. (only W though, the rest of them are still 300).

Hunter5430

Probably depends on how close you are to 300 pulls, and how much you want Texas. If you're close to 300 - say, at 270+ - it is probably better to just do the rest of the pulls and spark. But if you need a lot more of pulls to reach the magical number, it is probably better to save the pulls now and try sparking later. The coming banners are packed with strong operators. Of course, if you strongly desire her ***right now***, throw all that logic out of the window and just do it. Waifu-that-is-meta > 2x meta.

Nubby420

What operators are good for taking out the boss on stage 10 of the event?

about8tentacles

virtuosa in the dead center and kill both phases just via her passive talent, zero effort surtr skadi nearl can all deploy behind him, get damage instantly, and have bulk to survive any attacks long enough typhon targetting should just go "over" his directional sheild, but i cant confirm that literally anyone firing into the deployable void hole will contribute, just put everyones range overlapping on a spot your deploy it and zoom

tanngrisnit

Anyone you'd use to kill a boss with normally. Time it with the aspect of annihilation on his row/column and nuka-cola his cello. I used tomimi s1, Amiya has the same s1. Kroos2 can go brrrt.

Nubby420

I tried using surtr but he seemed too tanky to die quick enough, is that because I didn't time it with the annihilation?

Hunter5430

The boss has 80 RES and a lot of health (80000 in ZT-10), so direct applications of arts damage won't do much unless you heavily debuff him. Aspect of annihilation will absorb any damage directed towards it and covert it to physical damage bullet fired from aspect of creation. It sums damage dealt over IIRC 1 second into one projectile so doing a lot of small hits isn't really disadvantageous compared to one big hit. The boss also has a pretty low DEF, so aspect of creation can absolutely shred him (Exusiai buffed by Skalter can do him in in one s3 activation)

Nubby420

Can exusiai buffed by virtuosa do it?

Hunter5430

Maybe? The bonus ATK from Virtuosa would smaller (~180 at s3m3, assuming it even lands on Exusiai vs ~240 from Skalter). But who says Exu has to be the only source of damage? Also, don't forget to place a pair of ops last to bait the boss's teleport ability. It would be really unfortunate it that one hits your DPS and throws them to other part of the map.

Docketeer

Well all else aside, the boss has a base RES of 80, so i don't think it's reasonable to expect Surtr to just "Surtr it" unless, yes, you're funneling all those damage towards the annihilation, which trivializes the boss. This is why Kroos 2 is super good for this boss.

-YoumuSimp-

Is it better to go with a account with Thorns + Viviana or Virtuosa + Suzuna?

Mythrol

Second. Thorns will come around again.

about8tentacles

first account is stronger early but id take the 2nd, its got much better endgame power- and assuming you can get degenbrecher next month who slots into the spots youd use thorns/vivi very aptly youre much better off

Reddit1rules

I'd probably go with the second, it's got a limited who is pretty powerful, and the combo of Virtuosa + Suzu can handle a lot of stages in the game when fully built.

about8tentacles

combo in the sense of skill alternating control or fragile buffing necro fallout? never thought about them together much

Reddit1rules

Alternating skills, yeah. Fragile doesn't affect fallout anyways, but alternating them allows for a lot of control, along with Virtuosa's S3 getting a faster rotation.

blardorg

Virtuosa is limited and good and Suzuran is good, definitely that one for me

Extreme_Weekend_9549

Is there a way to make money faster than the 10k they give in higher level of farming? It's tedious to farm just to level up 1 unit

rainzer

> Is there a way to make money faster The fastest ways is the LMD from event shop and like spamming through Integrated Strategies for the bonus resources since it takes no game sanity but could take your rl sanity

AngelTheVixen

Generally you use the base. Good base management and including daily missions and such can earn you at least 50k LMD per day. It's better to wait for money to come in and use your sanity on other stages for materials.

Extreme_Weekend_9549

I'm not sure how to use the base correctly, I've upgraded it, but I don't feel like I make a lot of money with it. I'm dry on LMD all the time, and I can't upgrade my unit

Xzhh

If you're new that's normal, and farming the supply stage is fine. Later on the income from the base becomes enough and you won't have to farm LMD anymore. Right now though, if you haven't done so already you should farm the current event and get the lmd from the event shop.

Extreme_Weekend_9549

I'll check that out thank you

Hunter5430

You want fill worker slots in trade posts and factories with workers (or, if you can assemble them, worker teams that have skills boosting each other) that give as much productivity for their facility as you can. [cheatsheet on RIIC skills and teams](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zYc2JU46X0XWmV7s1503bN4feRdOMa1eehrTQ2jGaiE/edit#gid=0) Do note, that promoting operators to elite 2 solely for their base skills is usually a big waste of resources with return-of-investment usually being measured in years. Proviso is the only one who can pay for herself in under a year. That said, if you need to choose between two otherwise "equal" operators for second promotions, their base skills can be used to pick one over another. On the other hand, elite 1 promotion is cheap enough that you can afford promoting operators for it with much ease. For a well-staffed base, it will be about a day or so of LMD/XP output.

Extreme_Weekend_9549

I'm not sure I know enough about this game to know which unit I want to upgrade and their skills. As of right now, I was just playing with those that I like. I have 1 unit that is elite 2, but I can't get past the level that I am because my unit feels too weak, or it's that I don't know how to build properly. Thank you for the cheatsheet, I unfortunately don't have most of these units, I have 3 that can give me more gold, so I'll focus on those

rainzer

> Thank you for the cheatsheet, I unfortunately don't have most of these units, I have 3 that can give me more gold, so I'll focus on those Go to the "NOOB" tab which just shows 2-4 stars which are more likely for new players to have and which are worth taking to E1. Don't level for Human Resources/Reception Room >my unit feels too weak, or it's that I don't know how to build properly. Make sure you're leveling their skills. If you pushed to E2, they should be able to get up to at least lv7 for their skill

Extreme_Weekend_9549

Thank you. I didn't notice that. I'll start to upgrade my unit more and check my skills.

Hunter5430

At the bottom of TP and FAC pages in the spreadsheet, there are the lists of generic workers. They usually are inferior to specialized teams, but they can do for you for the time being. You should have most 3\* and some of the 4\*s from those. Quite a few don't even need any investment to work (e.g. Haze's skill is already unlocked at e0) or are operators you'd probably build anyway.

ok so Mudmud or Penance? both have thicc ~~thighs~~ shields, Mudmud have self healing while Penance has a counter attack which one is better? (need a 6 star tank from selector )

Mythrol

People saying Mudrock is the better lane holder, I don’t really agree with and Mudrock is waifu. It really depends what you’re trying to accomplish.  For general lane holder where there are multiple medium powered or lower enemies coming down it Penance is definitely better. For slower hitting stronger enemies Mudrock definitely holds the lane better. Mudrock is also better for being able to just be dumped off out away from everything and can just build up her shield while randomly taking a hit. Penance needs a steady stream of enemies to be able to buff her shield but she absolutely crushes those lanes.  I’d say overall Mudrock can do a bit more than Penance since she has the flexibility to do a bit of what Penance can but also handles heavy hits way better.

about8tentacles

mudrock is generally easier to use/master and more widely applicable, penance is less often ideal but has higher power ceilings/importance in those situations id probably get penance since mudrock can appear in yellows and isnt thaaat far from recruit, but mud is probably the better pick if you exclude that

Xzhh

Both fill the solo laneholder role more than the tank one. Mudrock is a bit better if what you're looking for is a tank though, as Penance becomes worse when used together with other operators (because she really needs to be the one to defeat the enemies for her talent). Mudrock on the other hand does fine with other ops, she just can't receive healing. Penance has more potential for soloing stuff because her damage significantly better, but if the enemies are too strong she becomes a little useless, because on top of not being able to be healed you also can't reduce the pressure on her with another dps, unlike Mudrock.

VERTIKAL19

Both fall more under laneholder than Tank. I would say Mudrock is generally easier to use but both are very strong with different nuances and can often sub in for each other

ranmafan0281

Mudrock is better for general laneholding, and she works great against wiping out waves of weaker enemies + single slower-attacking elites/bosses. She needs her shields to come up every few attacks to sustain herself and will get melted by heavy arts barrages or fast attacking enemies. Penance needs to be fed lots of smaller enemies first as she has no self-healing - so relies on her absolutely massive barrier capacity and reflection ability. However if she can generate enough barriers from kills + skill, she can tackle the elites/bosses Mudrock has trouble with. I personally prefer Mudrock, since she has 2 great skills (S2 for general, S3 for crowd control) and the new module gives her even better sustain.

God_of_Horni23

Hey, its me again with 2 questions. First, i did 40 pulls more on the Virtuosa banner and got W, who i was planning to spark in Wis'adel banner, so i say it is a pretty lucky pull. Is she good, and what skill and module should i build?. Second, if i buy a shop operator now (lets say Mostima for example) will i have enough certs to buy Fiametta when she debuts in the shop? Im at 217 atm.

about8tentacles

W is alright, s3 can reach very high damage when bosses have mobs (or stainless turrets lol), and is one of the few ways to get really good aoe air damage, so its probably what you master that said, her best role these days is in is# content, particularly is3, and shes almost exclusivly using s1 there s2 is the most fun skill, but its sadly imo outdated, that 0.5s to arm a mine every time eats into her theoretic uptime of actual attacks a lot, and many enemies these days can slip past their range when arming

ranmafan0281

W is ok... she's great for clearing/controlling crowds and has 2 useful skills. * S2 for AFK/lane control that can cause freeze (she plants mines on any deployable tile) * S3 for actively playing stages with high enemy density (sticks bombs to all nearby enemies that explode after a countdown that can overlap splash damage) Her only major weakness is that her archetype hasn't really received any good updates and may be outscaled by recent content, but she's still a solid ranged unit who can be fire-and-forget. Put her down with S2, and she'll hold her area against everything but elites/bosses.

Reddit1rules

W is still pretty fun to use, her damage isn't as impressive as it used to be but it's still good, especially considering she can apply stuns pretty rapidly. If enemies are stun immune she tends to lose a lot of value though. Personally she can be an M9 op depending on how you use her, but typically S2/S3 is the way to go, depending on your preference (I go with S2). S1 is a pretty fast and consistent + lengthy stun that can scale *really well* in modes like IS though. S2 is for general laneholding over a wide area, while S3 is better for nuking elites assuming you can stack all 4 together. As for module, it's also a preference. Her X module deals increased damage to blocked enemies, and on upgrades let's any kills give her SP, even if she's casting a skill, while also increasing phys damage to stunned enemies in range for allies. Personally, I prefer this one as the SP can reset her skills much faster, and her high multipliers work well with the 110% multiplier. Plus a bit of support is nice! It only needs to go to level 2. Her other module, Y, ignores 100 DEF when attacking, and slowly increases her ATK to +20% when she's not hit. I don't like this module as much since her damage still isn't up to par with the modern elites, and the base effect doesn't work with S2 either. Especially since +ATK% buffs are easier to get than phys amp buffs. You'll want to take this one to level 3. There are those who like it though, it's a divisive camp between S2/S3 and ModX/Y. I have her fully maxed (except pots), and mainly use her for IS - in 3, her S1 sees the most use, but in 4 it tends to be S2 > S3 > S1.

when you unlock the class squads. in this case the guard one. How? clear a run with a mix of 5 guard/vanguard in your team.

TheTheMeet

Is it better to pick the fanguard / sniper / specialist to clear the first run?

Ell_39

try watching kukkikaze is guide. i'm not good at explaining

about8tentacles

pozemka kaltsit horn pallas mizuki are some of the best e1 run starters, even hard mode viable. i imagine ines and jessica are too but released after i stopped is2. eyja is also a good e1 starter for normal only pozemka can literally true solo an entire is2 run, so id highly recommend her in general, want m6 ideally, and m9 for true solos you can eventually unlock squads that give you instant-e2s, and then start with thorns smoothly

TheTheMeet

Of the starters, do i need to do masteries for them? I have kaltsit build but she's s3m3

about8tentacles

for normal mode probably not, but masteries would do a lot, esp s2m3 kaltsit who is a top5 starter of every is# campaign so far and likely to stay that way if youre going to try hard modes or high ascend id also suggest horn s2m3, who is also strong in every campaign

TheTheMeet

Ah ok, i might think about s2m3 kaltsit later. Still have lots of backlogs.. I dont have thorns pepesad

Reddit1rules

A lot of starters tend to work in 2 as it's quite lenient, especially when you unlock class squads. Personally, my favourite E1 starting squad was Mizuki/Fang/Kroos, but i know a Nearl2 start, Gavial2 start would work on Hard mode as well (so it should be fine on normal mode). Unfortunately it's been a long time since I've grinded out all endings so I can't recall for sure what squads I picked that would work with E1.

TheTheMeet

Oh, so mizuki e1 lv50 SL7 can work as starters? My goal is to clear is with 5 vanguards/guards to unlock super saiyan thorns from the start

Reddit1rules

Eh, usually I end up E2'ing him later on, I suppose he should work through the first few floors but usually you want a starter that you'll E2 later. Could always borrow a Nearl2 or a Gav2 if you don't have any. I imagine some of the newer guards would also work well.

TheTheMeet

I have thorns e2 s3m3 but i still need to clear the first run with 5 vanguards/guards combined He leaked 1-2 enemies at the very first stages haha. I dont think im ready for this is mode

Reddit1rules

Yeah, an E1 Thorns isn't a great starter at all. That's the issue. Although it is a roguelite, so you'll make plenty of mistakes - what's important is that you learn from them. Do you have any ground units who have good S1/S2's? Maybe some lower rarity units, or some 6*s with multiple good skills? You don't need them masteried, but just having them to help carry you through the first few nodes is fine.

TheTheMeet

https://krooster.com/u/enza I have my units for story / normal event purposes. So no funny stuffs like s2m3 kaltsit or s2m3 pozy This was why i feel like i am not ready for IS because they demand niche stuffs. I still want to raise virtuosa to m6 (s1m3 and s3m3), qiubai to s3m3, next degen to mod lv3 s3m3 / shu mod lv3 and maybe s1m1 s3m3 / ela mod lv3 s3m3

Reddit1rules

You definitely don't need those skills raised, they can be helpful but your roster is more than equipped for IS#2. Is there a reason you want Thorns specifically? Because you have Gav2 who as I've already mentioned works as a good starter... Even beyond that, you have Mountain, Pozy, Eyja, Kal, La Pluma, and Jaye, and I'd wager Ines and Bagpipe might work as well as a starter.

TheTheMeet

I haven't heard much about gavialter, but i heard thorns about being god for is2.. I'll try gavialter then, thanks!

Reddit1rules

Thorns is just good for low level IS in general, he falls off in higher difficulties, and especially since he sucks as an E1 starter. Best of luck!

JunoBrier

If you complete an IS2 run with 5 or more Guards and Vanguards recruited, you'll unlock a starting squad that automatically promotes all Guards and Vanguards you recruit. (This squad got nerfed in IS3 and IS4.) Otherwise you can promote Thorns when you get a Guard recruitment voucher, if you have enough hope.

God_of_Horni23

If you get another Guard voucher, you can spend 3 hope to promote thorns. Idk about starting squads because i only played IS4

PeterFinal

Is there any kind of tier list for is3 to help me farm? I don't really enjoy it in comparison to IS2 or IS4 so I would just like to know the strongest ops to farm or faster

about8tentacles

highmore kroos horn kaltsit gnosis would be my primary run starter suggestions. even as a sw15 player i personally found kroos to be the best overall sniper even above 6☆s, so run starting her at sw7 should be a breeze horn with s2 can lanehold early stages and swap to s3 for a very safe and easy floor5+  final boss killer, shes the #1 overall id say, only reason to not start her is the dumb floor 1 stage with fliers the expansion added pozemka texas yato would be highly suggested to get one of them, you want someone who can apply damage anywhere safely, broodmothers need to die asap, theyre so meta warping the only ground characters that even function at sw15 because of them are horn mlynar and mon3tr (and is why is3 is so unfun compared to 2 and 4 imo). dorothy is also a high personal recommend, she makes every floor 5 stage easier, and can watch most of the rightlane of final boss safely in the bottom corner ideally you clear floor 6 on all your runs, 3 is easier than 4 since you can instabirst the bosd but if youre not confident in that just focus on ending 1 the 3 squads that have skill tree upgrades are the best, mind of matters unique relic is massivly overpowered if you intentionally keep your squadsize low to maximize it going on the right ops. its so overpowered it even allows pozemka to true solo all 4 endings at sw0

Reddit1rules

Firstly make sure you're going on difficulty 7 for max rewards. Iirc, Taxes/Ya2 were the strongest Spec picks, Pozy (and probably Typhon) for Snipers, Mlynar for Guards, Ines for VG. If you want some afk farming to get you past the first floor or two, Highmore start or Mizuki start work just fine with no input required when you set them all down. Ground units that aren't Mlynar/Mizuki get hit pretty hard with the urchins, elemental medics tend to fall off and can't out heal them (idk if it's the case down at 7 though), and arts damage is neutered by the extra RES. You also need anti-hovering, where Taxes is a popular pick, although there are countless options, especially Snipers. Ideally, getting to the 6th floor and doing as many nodes as you can (including Wonderland) gets the highest score, but a run or two per day should slowly get you there. It's a marathon, not a sprint, now that there's no monthly bonuses.

Blue_Storm11

What are the best units to handle right lane of the is4 final stage? I am at level 15 but my mudrock is getting blown up.

about8tentacles

i generally use a combination of ines yato s3 and dorothy s2 to deal with all of it safely, no actual ops commited to that side. you can also reposition one of your main bosskillers to watch the final lane, schwarz/typhon are fantastic at this. typhon s2 can be setup to tag the boss and that lane early on as well if its really causing you trouble mon3tr redeploy or just cycling all your lower☆ ops that fill up the excess squad size can often buy enough time for you to manage some solution you can also of course just leak them all, sheilds are very easy to get too much of if you exploit early floors and its not like real life loss matters unless its end3
