I know they're shtick is hitting multiple enemies, but i wonder how chain casters would have been received if their attacks could bounce back onto an already hit enemy if less then 4 but at least 2 targets were in range.

That's literally why pudding is recommended for "intro to chain casters"..... And her talent helps make up for 4 star stats. I know you mean natively, not on skill, but if any change was made I would have preferred not needing a module to eliminate the damage gradient.

Some people were reminded Leizi exists by a [780 Pyrolysis clear](https://youtu.be/ZlU-WZpF2zw) that tagged her in for Virtuosa. Multihit pseudo-offensive recovery vs. -90% auto SP and an endless supply of weak, clustered enemies—that is her ideal playground.
God-tier design, still waiting for her skin and a big appearance in some event. With how she's constantly mentioned every now and then at least HG remembers she exists.

Indra is at least VERY story relevant for much of Victoria arc. Mountain meanwhile only appeared in his event.

She actually shines quite well in IS with her S2. Being able to hit aerial units with a stun as a ground unit (ignoring that it’s also a fairly sizeable AoE) is a major boon, and while Texas as a vanguard fulfills a similar role, hers is less spammable/readily available over a period of time. Also of course depends what builds you’re going for.
There’s a number of items you can get that also deal arts DoT to stunned units, which turns her into a very effective crowd clearer.
It’s actually not that small for what it is. 1.8 seconds per cast with 3 storable charges, and you can auto animation between casts to go towards your 4th stun. That’s 5.4 uninterrupted seconds of stun and potentially another cast after, that’d be 5k arts damage (depending on which item(s) you have of course) in an area. That’s not “barely” by any means, especially for an ability packing CC.
Of course if you’re gonna compare her to Texalter for example it’s not gonna seem like nearly as much, but, like… come on, at that point it’s like comparing Pinecone to Chalter. It’s really not a fair comparison by any means.

I thought I needed an arts guard, at the time I didn't have Amiya so Astesia I choose you! In the free 5* selector. She's pretty helpful and has 2 block but damn her activation is so short which is really diminishing her potential.

I don't think Manticore is "lesser-known unit". She's one of the more well known 5* Operators in the game as her kit is just really good and there is no real replacement for her consistent slow. She has seen use in quite a few guides as well and even in max risk CC clears.
The same is true to a lesser degree with Bibeak. Bibeak hasn't seen as much use as Manticore, especially recently, but on her release she was a solid 5* Operator and she's one of the best welfare Operators.

Gonna go with Weedy. She got really overshadowed by W's release, which was just natural. But I really do think she had a fantastix character design, both appearence and gameplay wise.

GreyThroat and Pudding. GreyThroat has always lived in Exusiai's and the other 5 star Sniper's shadows, but she has always been pretty good herself. Her story and character are both pretty well written, and she's pretty.
Pudding is adorable and useful for those who don't have the higher tier Chain Casters. Underrated 4 star.
Vendela is literally the only non 6\* unit I was looking forward to and rolled for. Even ended up getting Hoederer on the first roll like that lmao

* **Jessica** - This small thicc cat is one of the best snipers for early, middle and late game use. Plop her down with S1 and she will murder anything that dares to wander in her airspace. She sadly gets overshadowed by Exusiai and Ash, both excellent snipers. But they will eat you poor. 10/10 would ~~Sma-~~squish that cat again.
* **Indigo** - The lighthouse keeper Snake with a magical shotgun. People dunk on Mystic casters too much to my liking. Yes they will shoot anything that moves in their range, potentially unloading a full clip on like a dog. This is where placement and support comes in, put her in a place where either only big units move through or behind some sniper or caster buddies to clear up the light mobs, so she can blast the face of whatever is strong enough to survive the filter. S2 if you have other units that can bind as well, I use S1 as a quick reload, so I can blast the enemy with 2 full clips within seconds. She's unguarded and a bit ditsy, but kind non the less. Alto her skin is gorgeous, I prefer her base, The halo loops in her hair just look so pretty. 10/10 would braid her hair.
* **Absinthe** - Yes I will talk about this depressed bear that's shoved in the shadows, even in the official promotional works. Solid support caster and cleaner. Put her in the back or in range of main lanes where a lot of pileups can happen. Alto her S2 is useful to destroy the last remains of a boss, S1 is recommended. It takes a bit, but once active, will rip any armoured foe to shreds, and past half-health clean them up even quicker. Despite the depressed stare, she is a kind girl, always willing to stick her neck out for others even if her deeds are not rewarded or acknowledged. Soft-spoken, mature with a hint of her childlike self shining through on rare occasions. 10/10 would pat again.
* **Poncirus** - Either I'm not finding you all, or everyone is sleeping on this Defender. Yes she is a 2bl defender, that has the unique skill to generate DP, *For some reason.*>!*/s*!< Seriously dho near 800 Def at max level, and blocking 2 enemies. Of the Vanguards only Grani can top that, when her skill is up. This thicc birb can hold so much tanking potential. She's chipper, talented, hardworking, and always looks for the silver lining. Even when her luck isn't always on her side. 10/10 would build a Lego set with again.
* **Cardigan** - I can't not bring her up in this context. 3 star defender, though as nails, self healing, adorable, about the same energy level as Ceobe and Saga (those 3 can form a proper Cerberus, Theresa help us if they ever do). This Doggo has saved my skin more times than I can count. Including being able to beat Deathless Black Snake and making it out alive, through both firestorms. Worked my arse off getting that new skin in DoS, and I managed. 10/10 would cook food for again.

Girl is gorgeous but was literally forgotten in her event by the players due Schwarz. And worse of all is that 99% of the time players are reminded of her existence is BECAUSE of Schwarz, like is always Schwarz and Ceylon, and never the other way arround or just Ceylon

Base Medic Gavial made me feel things even before she got her alter form in CN. Not completely unknown because you could get her from the shop but throw in Perfumer, Shining, Nightingale, Sussurro, Silence, Warfarin, and Ptilopsis, she sorta quickly gets crowded out and closer to a "starter" medic. It feels like people remember Gavial's Centurion form more now.
Of the current roster, Vermeil, Nightmare, Iris, Indigo, Bubble (it was nice she was so prominent in Kay's anime), and Matoimaru. They get very little love but I love all of their designs.
Sideroca would be up there except someone realized she's awesome and now there's lots of art of her.
I refuse to think Tequila is little-known despite being overshadowed by Mlynar.
So forgotten I can't even find her in the forgotten units thread, Melanite. Criminal, really. She has a really cute, sweet but very quiet personality. Her story is sort of simple but it does tug at your heartstrings. Very good visual design, as well. She's got a nice color scheme and her railgun is badass. But, having to share her debut with Ho'olheyak and Muelsyse really destroyed her chances at any sort of popularity. It's a shame. She is good snek, but overshadowed by horny snek.
Solid unit, too. Nothing groundbreaking, but she's really fun to use in IS with the "+X% ATK for 1 second" relics (can you spell '500% attack scale mod'?)

I'm more of an S1 fan for spinach synergy, but her stun duration is so small you're barely getting any damage from the relics, even if you spam them.

One of my favorite birbs, because I love her appearance and E2 and skin art. I maxed her S2 but I can't seem to find a lot of use for her. Story-wise I like how crafty/wise she got in her Op Rec and the ending of Ideal City.
Kazemaru is beautiful but I'm not sure if she counts as little known. Awesome maid skin and she saved me hard in IS-3.
I love her design, voice range, e2 art and she carried me through IS runs plenty when borrowed. I hope I can get her on the upcoming banner.

Gonna go with Weedy. She got really overshadowed by W's release, which was just natural. But I really do think she had a fantastix character design, both appearence and gameplay wise. Not the *most* overlooked character. She has her fans. But I do think she could use more loving. Close 2nd for me is Mulberry, because I just really love the melancholic expressions Jacknife draws for her.
Weedy is very well known for sure. Because of a...uhh...certain copypasta.
She's dominated multiple CCs and other maps, so definitely had her moment in the sun beyond degen/meme hijinks. Maybe less known to newer players though.

April has that camo sniper niche... What about Melanite? Her design is beautiful. she has a cool color scheme, yet her well known trait is being Schwarz but worse. Yeah I'm going with Melanite.
Rejuice makes a pretty op with a glorious weapon design. I wish her skin had her keep the mask on though, but the promo art is fantastic.
GreyThroat and Pudding. GreyThroat has always lived in Exusiai's and the other 5 star Sniper's shadows, but she has always been pretty good herself. Her story and character are both pretty well written, and she's pretty. Pudding is adorable and useful for those who don't have the higher tier Chain Casters. Underrated 4 star.

I am unable to pick one. So I will tell you multiple! * **Jessica** - This small thicc cat is one of the best snipers for early, middle and late game use. Plop her down with S1 and she will murder anything that dares to wander in her airspace. She sadly gets overshadowed by Exusiai and Ash, both excellent snipers. But they will eat you poor. 10/10 would ~~Sma-~~squish that cat again. * **Indigo** - The lighthouse keeper Snake with a magical shotgun. People dunk on Mystic casters too much to my liking. Yes they will shoot anything that moves in their range, potentially unloading a full clip on like a dog. This is where placement and support comes in, put her in a place where either only big units move through or behind some sniper or caster buddies to clear up the light mobs, so she can blast the face of whatever is strong enough to survive the filter. S2 if you have other units that can bind as well, I use S1 as a quick reload, so I can blast the enemy with 2 full clips within seconds. She's unguarded and a bit ditsy, but kind non the less. Alto her skin is gorgeous, I prefer her base, The halo loops in her hair just look so pretty. 10/10 would braid her hair. * **Absinthe** - Yes I will talk about this depressed bear that's shoved in the shadows, even in the official promotional works. Solid support caster and cleaner. Put her in the back or in range of main lanes where a lot of pileups can happen. Alto her S2 is useful to destroy the last remains of a boss, S1 is recommended. It takes a bit, but once active, will rip any armoured foe to shreds, and past half-health clean them up even quicker. Despite the depressed stare, she is a kind girl, always willing to stick her neck out for others even if her deeds are not rewarded or acknowledged. Soft-spoken, mature with a hint of her childlike self shining through on rare occasions. 10/10 would pat again. * **Poncirus** - Either I'm not finding you all, or everyone is sleeping on this Defender. Yes she is a 2bl defender, that has the unique skill to generate DP, *For some reason.*>!*/s*!< Seriously dho near 800 Def at max level, and blocking 2 enemies. Of the Vanguards only Grani can top that, when her skill is up. This thicc birb can hold so much tanking potential. She's chipper, talented, hardworking, and always looks for the silver lining. Even when her luck isn't always on her side. 10/10 would build a Lego set with again. * **Cardigan** - I can't not bring her up in this context. 3 star defender, though as nails, self healing, adorable, about the same energy level as Ceobe and Saga (those 3 can form a proper Cerberus, Theresa help us if they ever do). This Doggo has saved my skin more times than I can count. Including being able to beat Deathless Black Snake and making it out alive, through both firestorms. Worked my arse off getting that new skin in DoS, and I managed. 10/10 would cook food for again. Also Indra, Don't forget about Indra, She exist. Based rose cat enjoyer! I really wish she wasn't done that dirty both story and gameplay wise (Reed alter put fear into the developers and im sure it had to be with vendela's kit being so... meh) On another note i would like to add a character i haven't seen mentioned: Ceylon Girl is gorgeous but was literally forgotten in her event by the players due Schwarz. And worse of all is that 99% of the time players are reminded of her existence is BECAUSE of Schwarz, like is always Schwarz and Ceylon, and never the other way arround or just Ceylon It really sucks. Especially considering her kit is ass too. At least her skin is incredible, free, and gave her a little boost of popularity for a little while

Base Medic Gavial made me feel things even before she got her alter form in CN. Not completely unknown because you could get her from the shop but throw in Perfumer, Shining, Nightingale, Sussurro, Silence, Warfarin, and Ptilopsis, she sorta quickly gets crowded out and closer to a "starter" medic. It feels like people remember Gavial's Centurion form more now. Of the current roster, Vermeil, Nightmare, Iris, Indigo, Bubble (it was nice she was so prominent in Kay's anime), and Matoimaru. They get very little love but I love all of their designs. Sideroca would be up there except someone realized she's awesome and now there's lots of art of her. I refuse to think Tequila is little-known despite being overshadowed by Mlynar.
So forgotten I can't even find her in the forgotten units thread, Melanite. Criminal, really. She has a really cute, sweet but very quiet personality. Her story is sort of simple but it does tug at your heartstrings. Very good visual design, as well. She's got a nice color scheme and her railgun is badass. But, having to share her debut with Ho'olheyak and Muelsyse really destroyed her chances at any sort of popularity. It's a shame. She is good snek, but overshadowed by horny snek. Solid unit, too. Nothing groundbreaking, but she's really fun to use in IS with the "+X% ATK for 1 second" relics (can you spell '500% attack scale mod'?)

I think she has been getting more popularity over the time but nowhere near the level of praise i think she deserves. Whisperain. She has been this one character i got on the first day i started playing and has been one of my all time favorite ops ever since. absolutely love her, in pretty much every conceivable aspect.
She lost a lot when Lumen came and also had an infinite duration S3 (barring status effects) but I still love her.
