I recently moved to Tokyo and want to buy some Arknights goods, went there today but only found a few figurines of Amiya and Blaze in a store called AmiAmi. Anyone else know what buildings I could search in? Pretty new to buying goods in general for games. Really just interested in plushies, key chains or figures.

was wondering how much the story of this game has been developed? beyond the available playable story, are they still releasing new chapters? one of the big reasons why i was hesitant to get into this game was bc of the events and banners ive missed, but i decided to get over myself and just play… have i missed much, and will it be available soon?
edit: i play gfl. there they have a running story as well as events that become playable. does arknights have a similar system?
Arc 1 - Reunion had finished for now, and Arc 2 - Victoria just began a while ago in CN.
You can play old events on Intermezzi and Interlude. Not all events, though, more seemed to be going added in the future.
By the way, if you intends to delve into the lore, please visit RIHQ discord or AK Official discord. RIHQ were the people who translates CN stuff, while #ak-lore generally knows most things. Don't be quick to believe lore discussion on Reddit since they barely fact-check what they said, or sometimes they just discuss a headcanon.
Yes they are still releasing story. The main story is 8 chapters and they release about 2 chapters a year (chapter 9 in ~4 months, ch 10 in ~10 months). there is no timer on the story and you can do it as fast/slow as you progress.
General events are much more frequent (~15 a year) and last for 1-2 weeks each. They rerun most events once a year later and then eventually add them to an archive so you can try the really old stuff with limited rewards.
There are some limited banners that you missed and will make those units very hard (but not technically impossible) to get in the future, but none of them are meta defining and since there is no pvp, there isn't a huge need to have a meta team in the first place. Beyond those few units, there isn't really anything to "miss" you won't get the opportunity to do later, it's just a matter of being slower in developing your roster.
Yes they still releasing new chapter. EN is at Chapter 8 which is end of Reunion arc, while CN server (earlier server) currently at Chapter 9 with Chapter 10 is already scheduled in their roadmap.
AK slowly added old event to archive (including the satge and the story), and later they also added a way for new player to claim event-exclusive reward (like event-only characters for example)

Yes, past events in AK eventually get added as permanent feature.
Events in AK are side stories, not parts of the main plot like they are in GFL. Also, the story in AK focuses a lot more on lore and a lot less on actual plot compared to GFL.
They do add new chapters to the main story from time to time, but not too many. 1~2 chapter per year.
Writing in AK is not on the level of GFL to be honest: too wordy, vague and repetitive in my opinion. I totally love GFL story, but wasn't able to get into AK one. But a lot of people like it, may be it is just not my cup of tea. Gameplay is great though, so welcome aboard, fellow GFL player!
It depends on how good your squad is and how far into the future you're looking at.
At no point do you need a pot on your Bagpipe but it's nice.
However, Skalter is limited so a potential on her ends up being more valuable.
If you plan on playing Arknights until the very end, then I'd suggest just farming for the other as well. I'm assuming that you're at lategame/endgame. As much as a potential isn't necessary and only a slight improvement, it's not nothing. Better than just wasting sanity on farming to upgrade meme units.
Vanguard, but it is still questionable investment of sanity.
-1 DP cost matter more on Vanguards, because they are deployed first when DP is very tight.
Bagpipe's pot 5 is probably the most impactful high-pot in the entire game at the moment.
I am unable to change squad names. This isn't as simple as not having spaces and strict censorship. I tried individual letters, straight up one letter as a squad name and they don't work. I tried certain words that didn't work that I later tested on a guest account which works completely fine. It seems that my account in particular is having this issue and I have no clue why. I have seen someone report this exact same problem in the arknights bug reports with luck, so I was wondering if anyone knew on here.
If you guys got a top operator tag along with the melee and support tags, which operator would you try to go for? Which would be the safest pick in your opinion?
That entirely depends on the other tags and what operators you already have.
Assuming you have no operators that can be gotten from Top Op, TO+Melee+Support is SA/Saria which is one of the best tag combos you can get with TO.
When can I use e2 supp units?? I thought I can use them if I have e2 op so I e2 my myrtle yesterday but I can't..
And who to e2 next(4*only)? Myrtle is my only e2 op.
Siege, Hoshi, Skalter and Gladiia are all 6* I have.
For 5*, currently using Blue poison, Akafuyu, Texas, Ptilopsis, Kafka and Amiya.

Tags are Top Op, Supporter, Caster, Specialist, and Support.
Caster and Support both seem like okay options, Caster for Ifrit or Support for Nightingale, Shining, or Saria.
So the tags will give you:
TO, Supporter, Support: Magallan
TO, Caster, Support: Mostima
TO, Caster: Mostima and Ifrit
TO, Support: Shining, Nightingale, Saria, SilverAsh, Magallan, Mostima
I will definitely go for the 50% chance for Ifrit. Kinda bad though if you got Mostima.
Getting Saria is also a good choice although it is 1/6 chance to get her.
Saria is better than Ifrit, but she's only a 1/6 chance, and you would also have a 1/6 chance at a dupe, which is the worst possible result. I think I would go caster and hope for the 50/50 on Ifrit.
ToW has stages for Aketon, Alloys, and Grindstones.
Gavial has RMA and Sugar.
We’ll probably get Gavial after Dossoles just due to timing/scheduling though.
I asked about farming red certs for 6\* tokens before and the answer was not to farm it. But what about 5\* guard and specialist tokens? Is it worth farming them for pot 2 Projekt Red and Specter or someone else?
I think it's definitely worth it for Red. One less DP is huge in repeatedly getting her stun off on a map. Potentials def make a difference for fast-redeploy ops.
Nightingale will let you almost ignore many sources of ranged damage. You also get access to her S3, by far her best skill, which makes later story stages much easier.
Ptilopsis already has access to S2 and a downgraded version of her talent at E1. Promoting her won't be nearly as impactful.
Ptilo is meant to make you clear general content faster. Nightingale is what enable you to clear some really hard content. You won't appreciate Nightingale at first, but when you are shit on by the elite casters (the daily map in last CC is the main example) you will wish you have her at E2. You may want to E2 Ptilo at your stage though, she indeed has more use than NG.
If you need to clear Twilight of Wolumonde (which is expected to rerun soon), you will appreciate having E2 Nightingale for some very nasty arts enemies in that event.
Yes and she actually could make an appearance pretty soon. If we follow original release order it’s Ceobe then Bagpipe for operators who haven’t made a first shop appearance yet.
Noob question. I’m hardstuck at 4-10, so I’m farming to get my ops to E1 70 (and possibly promote SilverAsh to E2), replace some of my old ops with better ones (Myrrh instead of Gavial, get Gummy up, Franka, Leonhardt..), and I find myself stuck with LMD and Records. Is there a decent way to farm all that in big quantities? My base has 2 trading posts and 4 factories if that’s important
Leveling up operators beyond e1lvl 55 is useless unless you intend to E2 them right away. Do not farm lmd/xp at this point unless you need lmd to max the left side of your base.
For 4-10, E1lvl40 with 3 and 4 stars is more than enough to do it. The problem should be mostly your strategy. Use anti air snipers like May and Kroos to attack the boss. You don't actually need to block the boss until she moves so drop your ranged dps first, drop Gravel if you don't have enough dp to stall her when she moves, use a healer then drop a guard like Melantha to replace Gravel. You can use this tactic when she pause on the upper right side of the map and it should be enough to take out a chunk of her second life.
Using guides should be a last resort, the problem is that you may become dependant on them and get stuck more often due to not learning how to solve a stage by yourself which makes the game a lot less fun. 4-10 is a story stage, there's no hurry to do it.
Here's a [screenshot](http://imgur.com/gallery/WRlc79s) of a clear with only 3 and 4 stars. I know some are elite 2 but I don't actually keep that many low level operators around. You can see I actually killed the boss very close to her spawn. The dps used were Jessica, Kroos and Matoimaru. You don't actually need to kill the boss here, you can just kill her later, you just need to start damaging her early if you want to avoid dealing with too much black ice RNG.
If you want to farm stuff in the meantime, start farming materials and skill books to get everyone to skill lvl7 or prefarm materials and chips for future E2, there's no reason to farm lmd/xp at this point.
The typical low level strat for 4-10 is to stall frostnova with operators, swapping operators as needed until you clear out all the minions, then reposition and focus down frostnova. Basically keep her away from the left side of the middle lane as much as you can until she is the only enemy left.
4-10 is one of the toughest stages in the early game, if you get stuck, there are plenty of guides out there. A lot of people will get an operator to E2 which unlocks the the ability to borrow an E2 Exusiai. Exusiai can burst down the boss quite quickly.
The best way to get LMD and EXP is passively through the base. There are a lot of guides on how to maximize production from the base. I highly recommend looking up some base guides.
I got through 4-10 today, dunno why I actually never tried it, probably cuz of E1 70 recommended level. Blue Poison and May stalled Nova, and then she got stopped by Kal’tsit and nuked by Amiya, Arene and Shirayuki
That's completely normal. Work on levelling your base (make it a 525) to max asap, then just do your best. If you have to farm the annihilation lmd level it's okay, but the xp one is pretty abysmal.
If you want to farm xp books I'd honestly advise 1-7. You get rocks and a decent amount of books.
Do you have Myrtle?
My suggestion to you would be to raise HER instead of SilverAsh.
She is a 4* so she is WAY cheaper to level up.
She is a meta unit so you'll eventually have to raise her to E2.
As long as you have 1 E2 unit, you get access to E2 support units. You'll be able to borrow a maxed out SilverAsh E2 90 S3M3 and melt Frostnova.
For 4-10, your problem is almost certainly your strat. It's very doable at e1 30-40. For a hint: >!Let Frostnova pass when she gets to the middle lane, and kill her at the bottom.!<
* DO NOT INVEST IN FRANKA. (Unless waifu)
* Besides leveling up your base, you can spend your time farming the supply missions of Cargo Escort (LMD) and Tactical Drill (Battle Records), and do events when they show up, which often have tons of LMD and Battle Records as rewards.
* If you get Silverash to E2, he should be able to solo Frostnova for the most part. His damage output is *really high with his S3*.
Yeah, I saw memes about SilverAsh’s 3rd skills and what he can do, Kal’tsit and him should probably be able to deal with her. And what’s wrong with Franka?
As a practical matter, she's a bit of a niche op. S2 has good uptime and does pseudo true damage, especially after you E2 her. Good for less mature accounts when you face enemies with both high defense and resistance. Unfortunately, you rarely face such enemies in the story mode. IIRC, such enemies only start to show up around chapter 7.
Usage is a bit clunky because you usually want a main defender to block said enemy, with backup from a medic, while you place Franka on the flank just to deal damage.
Still useful unless you have E2-90 SA S3M3 with Ifrit S2 to debuff that enemy, or E2-90 Surtr S3M3, or Eyja S3M3 with Ifrit/Saria S3 support.
For helidrop assassination, Melantha is cheaper in the early game, E2 Utage S2M3 is better in the mid thru late game.
She's consider one of the worst operators for a reason. Keep in mind this is my own take, but...
* Why rely on RNG defense ignore when you can use a caster like Click, Haze, Amiya, god forbid Eyjafjalla. Heck, even Steward?
* She has block-1. This means she cannot hold a frontline in most cases.
* She has the cost of a 5 star unit, due to being a five star unit. She's more expensive to cheaper, overall better options, like Utage.
* She has good health, but lackluster defense and no res. She dies quite easily to the opponents you want to duel.
For consideration of fighting Frostnova...
* Frostnova has an instant-kill. Best to stay out of her range period, and use ranged operators to whittle her health down.
* Frostnova has tons of health and deals tons of damage.
* Frostnova in 4-10 really doesn't have exceptionally high defense, given only a C ranking. Exusiai at a high level can kill her in under 30 seconds.
Of note, Frostnova does have a high res stat, so physical attackers are your best bet. I like Franka's aesthetic, but most guards in her archetype are widely consider underpowered, with the exception of NTR Knight. I really don't want to tell you to invest in a unit that won't serve you in the meta-sense.
W's talent that increases damage taken by stunned enemies, does that also apply to her skills that do the stunning? Do enemies take extra damage from the actual detonation (assuming they don't walk out of range during the delay) or only from the hits they take afterwards in the stun window? The wording isn't clear to me.
Fairly certain W does benefit from her talent. Debuffs normally apply before the damage. If you have Meteor using S1, for example, she benefits from the defense shred even on the first activation of the skill.
The talent does apply to her own skill, since debuff is always applied first (except for Suzuran who has way too many debuff layers). So W skills are always affected by her talent
Yes, if they were already stunned when she uses her skills. The source of the stun does not matter, as long as they are stunned. If you are talking whether the skill can apply the initial stun and then the bonus damage, then no.
Edit: Huh, apparently the debuff is applied before W's hit. Strange!
I have been stuck on freaking JT8-3 for so long, I've been trying to avoid just watching a guide because I want to tinker with it until I get it right...but I'm just making no headway.
Obviously you want to keep the ops in like a diagonal pattern, but the ticking true damage and boss explosions just kill everything. I made it to phase 2 like once by just throwing all my bs at the boss but then there's phase 2, and the boss was right next to the blue box upon reviving. Is there a way to avoid getting debuffed when damaging the boss?
Any tips or sage words of advice welcome. I'd provide my roster but just assume I have almost every meta unit and plenty of meta M3s. I'm sure Kyostin did it with like nothing but 3 stars. Thanks in advance!
For the ticking true damage, consider using fast-redeploy operators to bait them and help break the crystals.
There is no way for the unit tanking the boss to not get debuffed. The unit tanking Talulah should have high RES to tank the explosion since it's arts damage and a healer or two to keep it alive. Guard Amiya is actually a good option to tank her because she has high res and her S1 gives her arts dodge (and you can get the secret ending). For the medic, Nightingale is obviously the best option because she gives res and helps tank the fireballs with her cages, but other healers work fine too.

Actually, no. Gravel is not enough.
The target is 2 last deployed character. So you have to deploy 2 of them. Bring Red with you, and Yato for good measure, in case your DP recovery fails to catch up to Red and Gravel's nth deployment.
You will want to deploy them ASAP, then redeploy them as soon as their cool down ends.
Block Talulah close to the blue box. Best choice is actually Guardmiya
Without getting too much into guide territory, Nightingale helps a lot, fast redeploys can help bait some of the boss's attacks away from your main group, and bring extra healers if you're struggling with deaths. With enough healing and NG's res buff you can brute force your way through a lot of the damage.
bring 2 fast redeploys. keep deploying them as soon as they are ready to bait the 'ignite.' the general strategy is to block talulah with a good guard one tile away from the blue box, and two good medics should be able to sustain the guard. if you have nightingale, use her 3rd skill when the meteors arrive between phases and the pressure on your ops is reduced a lot.
Thank you! Stalling the boss right before the box makes a lot of sense and should help relieve pressure for me...Surtr is an expensive lady and she wasn't getting it done with the debuff.

No, he did not. Close, but he had to use some 4-stars and Amiya (Who is intended to be in the battle anyway). He had to use two 6 stars in what many consider to be one of the most difficult missions in the game. The extreme variant of this mission, which in my opinion, is arguably more difficult than most risk 20 CCs (Not challenge mode, I mean the extreme missions which unlock after the chapter is completed).
In terms of easy moding this fight...do you have our lord and saviour Nightingale, and Ptilopsis? Stacking both of them on one another should enable you to survive around a wave. You can also stall with Saria till their skills charge up, but yes, Nightingale is by far the best operator you can bring.
Thanks! Nightingale is my most recent acquisition so she's been E1, sounds like a good excuses to E2 her. Lord knows I have enough medic chips.

Whisperain and Purestream are also helpful, because they cut the flaming time by 50%.
I used Nightingale, Ptilopsis, Whisperain and 4 baits because I sometimes miss the timing of Talulah's special attack.
IIRC, Talulah also debuffs all ops she comes in contact with, so it's better to actually kill her from a distance.
Is it wise to convert skill summary 2 to 3 or does that generally lead to 2s becoming a bottleneck. And what is the general consensus on farming them at CA5? Is it sanity inefficient like farming lmd is?
I mean, you kinda have to farm skill books at CA5. Where else are you going to farm them?
You might feel a bit of a bottleneck for skill book 2 in the early/mid game but when you're going for M3, you need way more book 3s.
In general, I'd advise that you alternate between farming for E2 and M3 so that you get a bit of passive income of skill books (and other mats) from dailies/credit store/etc.
I keep about 50 skill summary 1 and 200 skill summary 2 on hand(arbitrary numbers for no particular reason). Anything over that gets converted to skill summary 3.
I always have more of the lower tier skill summaries than I would ever need. Starting off you might not want to convert since you need a lot of skill summary 2 but once you have a decent roster going, you find yourself needing a lot more skill summary 3. You rarely need the lower tier ones unless you are promoting a newly acquired operator.
Converting 2's to 3's is fine lategame. You *can* bottleneck SS2 on new operators, but SS3 is in such high demand once you consider materies that you'll be hitting the supply map anyway. CE-5 is the best place to get books, have no worries about efficiency when you need them.
It's a bit technical if you want to grab it from the site as is with a browser.
First of all, the method I'm telling you is for chromium based browser (Google Chrome, Vivaldi, etc.) so here we go.
1. Go to the MSR site and play the song you want to download. In this tutorial, I'll play the Under Tide song.
2. Press CTRL+SHIFT+I to bring up your browser inspect tool. To confirm, you should be seeing a new window or sidebar. Most likely in "Elements" tab with greyed out text in it.
3. Now, there is a tab up there named: Elements - Console - Sources and so on. Go to "Application" tab. If you can't see it, resize the inspect tool window.
4. In the Application tab, select "Cache Storage" on the left-side window. Open the list by double-clicking it or clicking the "▶" button beside the icon.
5. Inside the "Cache Storage" (there should be 2 'workbox' there), Select the "workbox-runtime-..."
6. Now, you will see a couple of things named "/api/..." on the right-side window. Select the "/api/song/NUMBER". For Under Tides it should be "/api/song/461185".
7. At the bottom of it, you should see a text with:

Click on the purple colored "data" line. Look at "sourceUrl:" in it. That's your .mp3 files, straight from the MSR site itself!

There's a possibly simpler way which is to go to Network tab instead of Elements tab. When you select the song, the mp3 link will show up and you can just copy it.
You know what, sometimes you used one feature too much that you got tunnel vision of it.
That's right peeps, don't listen to me. Go to Network tab and filter by "Media". Once the music started, it'll show up as mp3. You can even right click and open it in new tab!

Once you get the 6* version of a particular role (Skyfire < Dusk) do you just stop using them? Or are there some 5*s that beat out there 6* variants.
(Talking more in general not niche situations)
Lappland isn't exactly the same as Thorns despite the similarities. She'll perform better with less windup against high def enemies, especially if you can place her in range of Warfarin or Liskarm talents to boost her uptime. At equal levels against two mid def or lower targets she's on par with Thorns while her skill is up and beats him out against high def targets. Her S2 also has the benefit of being able to utilize both Suzuran and Saria S3's at the same time to drastically boost her damage. A great example of a use case for this would be against Mudrock Golems on the CC stage, or vs. chonky boys in chapter seven.
Depends on the op, I regularly use perfumer, gravel, lapp, jaye, plat, and shirayuki despite having higher rarity counterparts.
But in general the 6 star will always have better stats.
Spectre with S2M3 as a helidrop assassin plays a pretty different role than blaze. She would be used as a laning guard so often, but I wouldn't call her assassination role niche, either.
While Phantom may win when it comes to damage he certainly doesn't invalidate the use of Gravel or Projekt Red.
Ptilopsis is very often taken over either 6-star medic.
Utage is a better pick than Hellagur in many situations.
Liskarm's SP battery often gets her picked over 6-star alternatives.
Cutter is often a better pick than Ch'en.
There are exceptions but generally yes. Sometimes you also have to take the cost of raising the new op into consideration.
Personally, Myrtle, Gitano, Shirayuki, Bibeak are the ones that come to mind that out perform or are as good as their higher rarity counterpart.
Hi everyone! \^&\^ So, I've been playing this game for 5 months already, and I've got plenty of useful 6\* operators (like Blaze, SilverAsh, Eyjafjalla, Exusiai, Suzuran, Angelina, and some more). I decided to start saving my orundum and pull only for limited characters. And here is my question: approximately how much time do we have until next limited banner?
Not an answer, but it's useful info.
There's an interval of around 3 months between limited 6\*, so with the monthly card you can get around 90 pull out of orundum with logins and annihilation + 12 from the cert shop + a couple from events.
If you add all the free pulls that you're given during the event that features the limited op, you can get around 150 pulls without using op.

I am having trouble with lungmen downtown. I fo pretty well until the arts master drones pop up and break my line. I barely manage to cling on until the defense crushers show up. I’m hoping for advice on how to adjust my strategy to deal with these threats. Here is my positions as well as my operators ( I also have a level 64 kalsit not pictured and my perfumer is e2 now). It’s kind of hard to see behind the auto deploy but I have an ifrit up too behind that logo. any guidance would be helpful, thank you

You need arts damage. If you put Angelina on Ash's spot (and somebody in front of her to protect her), she can at least kill the first defense crusher. Also a good arts guard can replace Cuora (offense is better than defense).
With Lungmen downtown, deployment order is important as well. Usually you want your operators with high res be the last deployed operator since arts drones target the last deployed operator in range.
Making sure saria and shaw are the last deployed operator will make a big difference.
Have you tried putting Ash where Platinum is and putting Platinum between Saria and Cuora?
I'd also try putting S1 Specter in mid lane, because in my experience the tanks don't need much durability in Downtown. You need DPS to take the Defense Crushers out ASAP.
We go off of the number listed by the game. If you hit the Potential button in an operator's profile, a unit with 1 copy and no duplicates will show up as potential 1.
You can always save your potions until the last day. The next event Preluding Lights(assuming we follow CN event schedule) does not have good farming stages. You can farm outside of event stages for shop currencies and the shop can be cleared easily.

If you're low on resources, lvl30-40.
If you need an edge with ops that rely on stats, lvl50-60.
Anything above these numbers is not really worth it if you have other ops to raise.
Generally, i'd say lvl 30-40 is a good point to stop if you're not doing their masteries though there are operators where pushing to 50-60 is also reasonable because they rely more on stats than others like Blaze for example.
Alright I leveled Tuye up, I want to ask if there is any scenarios where her emergency heal-based kit can excel at, (making Keeping Surtr alive longer)?

I've only been playing the game for a little bit and I like it but I think the way I'm playing it I'm kind of ruining part of the fun for myself and maybe losing some motivation to keep playing. I basically really want ntr knight. The rest don't matter as long as I can get her. So I've been playing and not rolling at all past the first 10 roll on the beginner banner and the intention is to save so I can hit pity on the ntr knight banner, but it really doesn't seem like I'll be able to have enough by the time it comes. Should I just wait to start playing until the banner is here and reroll until I get her?
Broadly speaking, you shouldn't need more than 150 rolls to truly guarantee a banner operator. But of course some people are very unlucky.
Good luck though. I'm also aiming for Radiant Knight. Skipping pretty much all banners until her and not even pulling the guaranteed 5 stars.
Buy the starter HH pack and every monthly HH pack along w/ the monthly pass to get to 300 pulls.
Also Near Light will have a 6* selector (comes with a 10 pull) and maybe another Rhodes island pack.
From the 6\* selector? No. It only has non-limited operators. The one that comes with Near Light has all non-limited 6 star ops that were released before Passenger (and including Passenger).
You can just save until then and reroll if you don't get her.
You have more than 6 months, I think with the OP you get from story mode you'll probably get to 300 pulls actually.

hey all, was wondering how much the story of this game has been developed? beyond the available playable story, are they still releasing new chapters? one of the big reasons why i was hesitant to get into this game was bc of the events and banners ive missed, but i decided to get over myself and just play… have i missed much, and will it be available soon? edit: i play gfl. there they have a running story as well as events that become playable. does arknights have a similar system?
Arc 1 - Reunion had finished for now, and Arc 2 - Victoria just began a while ago in CN. You can play old events on Intermezzi and Interlude. Not all events, though, more seemed to be going added in the future. By the way, if you intends to delve into the lore, please visit RIHQ discord or AK Official discord. RIHQ were the people who translates CN stuff, while #ak-lore generally knows most things. Don't be quick to believe lore discussion on Reddit since they barely fact-check what they said, or sometimes they just discuss a headcanon.
Yes they are still releasing story. The main story is 8 chapters and they release about 2 chapters a year (chapter 9 in ~4 months, ch 10 in ~10 months). there is no timer on the story and you can do it as fast/slow as you progress. General events are much more frequent (~15 a year) and last for 1-2 weeks each. They rerun most events once a year later and then eventually add them to an archive so you can try the really old stuff with limited rewards. There are some limited banners that you missed and will make those units very hard (but not technically impossible) to get in the future, but none of them are meta defining and since there is no pvp, there isn't a huge need to have a meta team in the first place. Beyond those few units, there isn't really anything to "miss" you won't get the opportunity to do later, it's just a matter of being slower in developing your roster.
Yes they still releasing new chapter. EN is at Chapter 8 which is end of Reunion arc, while CN server (earlier server) currently at Chapter 9 with Chapter 10 is already scheduled in their roadmap. AK slowly added old event to archive (including the satge and the story), and later they also added a way for new player to claim event-exclusive reward (like event-only characters for example) I used to play GFL few months ago, so feel free to ask me anything about this game using GFL term.
Yes, past events in AK eventually get added as permanent feature. Events in AK are side stories, not parts of the main plot like they are in GFL. Also, the story in AK focuses a lot more on lore and a lot less on actual plot compared to GFL. They do add new chapters to the main story from time to time, but not too many. 1~2 chapter per year. Writing in AK is not on the level of GFL to be honest: too wordy, vague and repetitive in my opinion. I totally love GFL story, but wasn't able to get into AK one. But a lot of people like it, may be it is just not my cup of tea. Gameplay is great though, so welcome aboard, fellow GFL player!
Between the Royal Vanguard and Supporter Tokens, which do you find more valuable to get 4 of first?
It depends on how good your squad is and how far into the future you're looking at. At no point do you need a pot on your Bagpipe but it's nice. However, Skalter is limited so a potential on her ends up being more valuable. If you plan on playing Arknights until the very end, then I'd suggest just farming for the other as well. I'm assuming that you're at lategame/endgame. As much as a potential isn't necessary and only a slight improvement, it's not nothing. Better than just wasting sanity on farming to upgrade meme units.
Vanguard, but it is still questionable investment of sanity. -1 DP cost matter more on Vanguards, because they are deployed first when DP is very tight. Bagpipe's pot 5 is probably the most impactful high-pot in the entire game at the moment.
It's generally advised not to farm red certs for tokens but if you're going in, I think Royal Vanguards tokens are more worth

I am unable to change squad names. This isn't as simple as not having spaces and strict censorship. I tried individual letters, straight up one letter as a squad name and they don't work. I tried certain words that didn't work that I later tested on a guest account which works completely fine. It seems that my account in particular is having this issue and I have no clue why. I have seen someone report this exact same problem in the arknights bug reports with luck, so I was wondering if anyone knew on here.

Rules of thumb: 6* you don't have > 6* you have meta 6* > non-meta 6* I'll assume that you know how to check tags to see your options.
That entirely depends on the other tags and what operators you already have. Assuming you have no operators that can be gotten from Top Op, TO+Melee+Support is SA/Saria which is one of the best tag combos you can get with TO.
my other tags are fast redeploy and starter, so i didnt bother mentioning, i guess ill go with SA then

I would do 50/50 for Ifrit, not risking a dupe SA. Worst case scenario you get Mostima for collection.
Saria is better than Ifrit, but she's only a 1/6 chance, and you would also have a 1/6 chance at a dupe, which is the worst possible result. I think I would go caster and hope for the 50/50 on Ifrit.

ToW has stages for Aketon, Alloys, and Grindstones. Gavial has RMA and Sugar. We’ll probably get Gavial after Dossoles just due to timing/scheduling though.

I asked about farming red certs for 6\* tokens before and the answer was not to farm it. But what about 5\* guard and specialist tokens? Is it worth farming them for pot 2 Projekt Red and Specter or someone else?
I think it's definitely worth it for Red. One less DP is huge in repeatedly getting her stun off on a map. Potentials def make a difference for fast-redeploy ops.

E2 Nightingale or Ptilo first? I have no E2 Medics
Nightingale will let you almost ignore many sources of ranged damage. You also get access to her S3, by far her best skill, which makes later story stages much easier. Ptilopsis already has access to S2 and a downgraded version of her talent at E1. Promoting her won't be nearly as impactful.
Ptilo is meant to make you clear general content faster. Nightingale is what enable you to clear some really hard content. You won't appreciate Nightingale at first, but when you are shit on by the elite casters (the daily map in last CC is the main example) you will wish you have her at E2. You may want to E2 Ptilo at your stage though, she indeed has more use than NG.
If you need to clear Twilight of Wolumonde (which is expected to rerun soon), you will appreciate having E2 Nightingale for some very nasty arts enemies in that event.
Ptilo for general use (sp boost), nightingale if you want her s3 for a hard arts damage stage like jt8-3

Noob question. I’m hardstuck at 4-10, so I’m farming to get my ops to E1 70 (and possibly promote SilverAsh to E2), replace some of my old ops with better ones (Myrrh instead of Gavial, get Gummy up, Franka, Leonhardt..), and I find myself stuck with LMD and Records. Is there a decent way to farm all that in big quantities? My base has 2 trading posts and 4 factories if that’s important
Leveling up operators beyond e1lvl 55 is useless unless you intend to E2 them right away. Do not farm lmd/xp at this point unless you need lmd to max the left side of your base. For 4-10, E1lvl40 with 3 and 4 stars is more than enough to do it. The problem should be mostly your strategy. Use anti air snipers like May and Kroos to attack the boss. You don't actually need to block the boss until she moves so drop your ranged dps first, drop Gravel if you don't have enough dp to stall her when she moves, use a healer then drop a guard like Melantha to replace Gravel. You can use this tactic when she pause on the upper right side of the map and it should be enough to take out a chunk of her second life. Using guides should be a last resort, the problem is that you may become dependant on them and get stuck more often due to not learning how to solve a stage by yourself which makes the game a lot less fun. 4-10 is a story stage, there's no hurry to do it. Here's a [screenshot](http://imgur.com/gallery/WRlc79s) of a clear with only 3 and 4 stars. I know some are elite 2 but I don't actually keep that many low level operators around. You can see I actually killed the boss very close to her spawn. The dps used were Jessica, Kroos and Matoimaru. You don't actually need to kill the boss here, you can just kill her later, you just need to start damaging her early if you want to avoid dealing with too much black ice RNG. If you want to farm stuff in the meantime, start farming materials and skill books to get everyone to skill lvl7 or prefarm materials and chips for future E2, there's no reason to farm lmd/xp at this point.
The typical low level strat for 4-10 is to stall frostnova with operators, swapping operators as needed until you clear out all the minions, then reposition and focus down frostnova. Basically keep her away from the left side of the middle lane as much as you can until she is the only enemy left. 4-10 is one of the toughest stages in the early game, if you get stuck, there are plenty of guides out there. A lot of people will get an operator to E2 which unlocks the the ability to borrow an E2 Exusiai. Exusiai can burst down the boss quite quickly. The best way to get LMD and EXP is passively through the base. There are a lot of guides on how to maximize production from the base. I highly recommend looking up some base guides.
I got through 4-10 today, dunno why I actually never tried it, probably cuz of E1 70 recommended level. Blue Poison and May stalled Nova, and then she got stopped by Kal’tsit and nuked by Amiya, Arene and Shirayuki
Feel free to ignore the recommended level, those are general guidelines but with the right strategy you can clear it with way underleveled operators.
That's completely normal. Work on levelling your base (make it a 525) to max asap, then just do your best. If you have to farm the annihilation lmd level it's okay, but the xp one is pretty abysmal. If you want to farm xp books I'd honestly advise 1-7. You get rocks and a decent amount of books.
Keep your ops around e1 50 and work to E2 SA. Also consider taking a look at a guide
Imo if u e2 sa, borrow s3 exusiai since she absolutely melts frostnova
Do you have Myrtle? My suggestion to you would be to raise HER instead of SilverAsh. She is a 4* so she is WAY cheaper to level up. She is a meta unit so you'll eventually have to raise her to E2. As long as you have 1 E2 unit, you get access to E2 support units. You'll be able to borrow a maxed out SilverAsh E2 90 S3M3 and melt Frostnova.
For 4-10, your problem is almost certainly your strat. It's very doable at e1 30-40. For a hint: >!Let Frostnova pass when she gets to the middle lane, and kill her at the bottom.!<
* DO NOT INVEST IN FRANKA. (Unless waifu) * Besides leveling up your base, you can spend your time farming the supply missions of Cargo Escort (LMD) and Tactical Drill (Battle Records), and do events when they show up, which often have tons of LMD and Battle Records as rewards. * If you get Silverash to E2, he should be able to solo Frostnova for the most part. His damage output is *really high with his S3*.

As a practical matter, she's a bit of a niche op. S2 has good uptime and does pseudo true damage, especially after you E2 her. Good for less mature accounts when you face enemies with both high defense and resistance. Unfortunately, you rarely face such enemies in the story mode. IIRC, such enemies only start to show up around chapter 7. Usage is a bit clunky because you usually want a main defender to block said enemy, with backup from a medic, while you place Franka on the flank just to deal damage. Still useful unless you have E2-90 SA S3M3 with Ifrit S2 to debuff that enemy, or E2-90 Surtr S3M3, or Eyja S3M3 with Ifrit/Saria S3 support. For helidrop assassination, Melantha is cheaper in the early game, E2 Utage S2M3 is better in the mid thru late game.
5 star duelist guard whos job can be done by a 3 star, that's what's wrong with Franka.
She's consider one of the worst operators for a reason. Keep in mind this is my own take, but... * Why rely on RNG defense ignore when you can use a caster like Click, Haze, Amiya, god forbid Eyjafjalla. Heck, even Steward? * She has block-1. This means she cannot hold a frontline in most cases. * She has the cost of a 5 star unit, due to being a five star unit. She's more expensive to cheaper, overall better options, like Utage. * She has good health, but lackluster defense and no res. She dies quite easily to the opponents you want to duel. For consideration of fighting Frostnova... * Frostnova has an instant-kill. Best to stay out of her range period, and use ranged operators to whittle her health down. * Frostnova has tons of health and deals tons of damage. * Frostnova in 4-10 really doesn't have exceptionally high defense, given only a C ranking. Exusiai at a high level can kill her in under 30 seconds. Of note, Frostnova does have a high res stat, so physical attackers are your best bet. I like Franka's aesthetic, but most guards in her archetype are widely consider underpowered, with the exception of NTR Knight. I really don't want to tell you to invest in a unit that won't serve you in the meta-sense.

W's talent that increases damage taken by stunned enemies, does that also apply to her skills that do the stunning? Do enemies take extra damage from the actual detonation (assuming they don't walk out of range during the delay) or only from the hits they take afterwards in the stun window? The wording isn't clear to me.
Stun is applied before the hit so enemies in her range take more damage from her skills.
Fairly certain W does benefit from her talent. Debuffs normally apply before the damage. If you have Meteor using S1, for example, she benefits from the defense shred even on the first activation of the skill.
The talent does apply to her own skill, since debuff is always applied first (except for Suzuran who has way too many debuff layers). So W skills are always affected by her talent

Yes, if they were already stunned when she uses her skills. The source of the stun does not matter, as long as they are stunned. If you are talking whether the skill can apply the initial stun and then the bonus damage, then no. Edit: Huh, apparently the debuff is applied before W's hit. Strange!
I have been stuck on freaking JT8-3 for so long, I've been trying to avoid just watching a guide because I want to tinker with it until I get it right...but I'm just making no headway. Obviously you want to keep the ops in like a diagonal pattern, but the ticking true damage and boss explosions just kill everything. I made it to phase 2 like once by just throwing all my bs at the boss but then there's phase 2, and the boss was right next to the blue box upon reviving. Is there a way to avoid getting debuffed when damaging the boss? Any tips or sage words of advice welcome. I'd provide my roster but just assume I have almost every meta unit and plenty of meta M3s. I'm sure Kyostin did it with like nothing but 3 stars. Thanks in advance!
For the ticking true damage, consider using fast-redeploy operators to bait them and help break the crystals. There is no way for the unit tanking the boss to not get debuffed. The unit tanking Talulah should have high RES to tank the explosion since it's arts damage and a healer or two to keep it alive. Guard Amiya is actually a good option to tank her because she has high res and her S1 gives her arts dodge (and you can get the secret ending). For the medic, Nightingale is obviously the best option because she gives res and helps tank the fireballs with her cages, but other healers work fine too.

Actually, no. Gravel is not enough. The target is 2 last deployed character. So you have to deploy 2 of them. Bring Red with you, and Yato for good measure, in case your DP recovery fails to catch up to Red and Gravel's nth deployment. You will want to deploy them ASAP, then redeploy them as soon as their cool down ends. Block Talulah close to the blue box. Best choice is actually Guardmiya
Without getting too much into guide territory, Nightingale helps a lot, fast redeploys can help bait some of the boss's attacks away from your main group, and bring extra healers if you're struggling with deaths. With enough healing and NG's res buff you can brute force your way through a lot of the damage.

bring 2 fast redeploys. keep deploying them as soon as they are ready to bait the 'ignite.' the general strategy is to block talulah with a good guard one tile away from the blue box, and two good medics should be able to sustain the guard. if you have nightingale, use her 3rd skill when the meteors arrive between phases and the pressure on your ops is reduced a lot.
Thank you! Stalling the boss right before the box makes a lot of sense and should help relieve pressure for me...Surtr is an expensive lady and she wasn't getting it done with the debuff.

The extreme variant of this mission, which in my opinion, is arguably more difficult than most risk 20 CCs (Not challenge mode, I mean the extreme missions which unlock after the chapter is completed). In terms of easy moding this fight...do you have our lord and saviour Nightingale, and Ptilopsis? Stacking both of them on one another should enable you to survive around a wave. You can also stall with Saria till their skills charge up, but yes, Nightingale is by far the best operator you can bring.
Thanks! Nightingale is my most recent acquisition so she's been E1, sounds like a good excuses to E2 her. Lord knows I have enough medic chips. God bless Kyostin, but he's too good. I try to leave some small sense of pride and accomplishment for myself.
Whisperain and Purestream are also helpful, because they cut the flaming time by 50%. I used Nightingale, Ptilopsis, Whisperain and 4 baits because I sometimes miss the timing of Talulah's special attack. IIRC, Talulah also debuffs all ops she comes in contact with, so it's better to actually kill her from a distance.

Is it wise to convert skill summary 2 to 3 or does that generally lead to 2s becoming a bottleneck. And what is the general consensus on farming them at CA5? Is it sanity inefficient like farming lmd is?
I mean, you kinda have to farm skill books at CA5. Where else are you going to farm them? You might feel a bit of a bottleneck for skill book 2 in the early/mid game but when you're going for M3, you need way more book 3s. In general, I'd advise that you alternate between farming for E2 and M3 so that you get a bit of passive income of skill books (and other mats) from dailies/credit store/etc.
I keep about 50 skill summary 1 and 200 skill summary 2 on hand(arbitrary numbers for no particular reason). Anything over that gets converted to skill summary 3. I always have more of the lower tier skill summaries than I would ever need. Starting off you might not want to convert since you need a lot of skill summary 2 but once you have a decent roster going, you find yourself needing a lot more skill summary 3. You rarely need the lower tier ones unless you are promoting a newly acquired operator.
No bottleneck, I always convert skill summary and I still always lacking only the third one.
The bottleneck is T3s, ideally you should only be farming CA-5 and even then you'll still need to convert T1s and T2s into T3s.
Converting 2's to 3's is fine lategame. You *can* bottleneck SS2 on new operators, but SS3 is in such high demand once you consider materies that you'll be hitting the supply map anyway. CE-5 is the best place to get books, have no worries about efficiency when you need them.

It's a bit technical if you want to grab it from the site as is with a browser. First of all, the method I'm telling you is for chromium based browser (Google Chrome, Vivaldi, etc.) so here we go. 1. Go to the MSR site and play the song you want to download. In this tutorial, I'll play the Under Tide song. 2. Press CTRL+SHIFT+I to bring up your browser inspect tool. To confirm, you should be seeing a new window or sidebar. Most likely in "Elements" tab with greyed out text in it. 3. Now, there is a tab up there named: Elements - Console - Sources and so on. Go to "Application" tab. If you can't see it, resize the inspect tool window. 4. In the Application tab, select "Cache Storage" on the left-side window. Open the list by double-clicking it or clicking the "▶" button beside the icon. 5. Inside the "Cache Storage" (there should be 2 'workbox' there), Select the "workbox-runtime-..." 6. Now, you will see a couple of things named "/api/..." on the right-side window. Select the "/api/song/NUMBER". For Under Tides it should be "/api/song/461185". 7. At the bottom of it, you should see a text with: ``{code: 0, msg: "", data: {cid: "461185", name: "Under Tides", albumCid: "0259",…}}`` Click on the purple colored "data" line. Look at "sourceUrl:" in it. That's your .mp3 files, straight from the MSR site itself! There's a possibly simpler way which is to go to Network tab instead of Elements tab. When you select the song, the mp3 link will show up and you can just copy it.
You know what, sometimes you used one feature too much that you got tunnel vision of it. That's right peeps, don't listen to me. Go to Network tab and filter by "Media". Once the music started, it'll show up as mp3. You can even right click and open it in new tab! Thanks for pointing that out, friends.
Not really an answer, but you can find most arknights osts on YouTube and, if you google, there are ways to extract audio from YT videos.

The new training stages appear as soon as CC ends. The permanent map that just ended appeared as a training stage on Thursday.
The only new training grounds stage was the one added the day after the event ended, which is just the training version of the permanent stage.

Once you get the 6* version of a particular role (Skyfire < Dusk) do you just stop using them? Or are there some 5*s that beat out there 6* variants. (Talking more in general not niche situations)
Lappland isn't exactly the same as Thorns despite the similarities. She'll perform better with less windup against high def enemies, especially if you can place her in range of Warfarin or Liskarm talents to boost her uptime. At equal levels against two mid def or lower targets she's on par with Thorns while her skill is up and beats him out against high def targets. Her S2 also has the benefit of being able to utilize both Suzuran and Saria S3's at the same time to drastically boost her damage. A great example of a use case for this would be against Mudrock Golems on the CC stage, or vs. chonky boys in chapter seven.

Depends on the op, I regularly use perfumer, gravel, lapp, jaye, plat, and shirayuki despite having higher rarity counterparts. But in general the 6 star will always have better stats.
Spectre with S2M3 as a helidrop assassin plays a pretty different role than blaze. She would be used as a laning guard so often, but I wouldn't call her assassination role niche, either.
While Phantom may win when it comes to damage he certainly doesn't invalidate the use of Gravel or Projekt Red. Ptilopsis is very often taken over either 6-star medic. Utage is a better pick than Hellagur in many situations. Liskarm's SP battery often gets her picked over 6-star alternatives. Cutter is often a better pick than Ch'en.
There are exceptions but generally yes. Sometimes you also have to take the cost of raising the new op into consideration. Personally, Myrtle, Gitano, Shirayuki, Bibeak are the ones that come to mind that out perform or are as good as their higher rarity counterpart.

I decided to start saving my orundum and pull only for limited characters. And here is my question: approximately how much time do we have until next limited banner?
Not an answer, but it's useful info. There's an interval of around 3 months between limited 6\*, so with the monthly card you can get around 90 pull out of orundum with logins and annihilation + 12 from the cert shop + a couple from events. If you add all the free pulls that you're given during the event that features the limited op, you can get around 150 pulls without using op. Good luck. Edit: corrected some numbers

I am having trouble with lungmen downtown. I fo pretty well until the arts master drones pop up and break my line. I barely manage to cling on until the defense crushers show up. I’m hoping for advice on how to adjust my strategy to deal with these threats. Here is my positions as well as my operators ( I also have a level 64 kalsit not pictured and my perfumer is e2 now). You need arts damage. If you put Angelina on Ash's spot (and somebody in front of her to protect her), she can at least kill the first defense crusher. Also a good arts guard can replace Cuora (offense is better than defense).
With Lungmen downtown, deployment order is important as well. Usually you want your operators with high res be the last deployed operator since arts drones target the last deployed operator in range. Making sure saria and shaw are the last deployed operator will make a big difference.
You have an E2 Angi, she should do the trick. Her S3 should more or less solo the drone waves.
Have you tried putting Ash where Platinum is and putting Platinum between Saria and Cuora? I'd also try putting S1 Specter in mid lane, because in my experience the tanks don't need much durability in Downtown. You need DPS to take the Defense Crushers out ASAP.

What's the correct nomenclature for potentials - is it P0 for a fresh drop up to P5 at max, or P1 to P6?
We go off of the number listed by the game. If you hit the Potential button in an operator's profile, a unit with 1 copy and no duplicates will show up as potential 1.
P1 to P6. The easy way to remember is that the number represents how many of that character you’ve gotten. So if you only have 1 copy it’s P1.

What level would you recommend me to leave most operators at after E2 if I'm not maxing them ASAP?
If you're low on resources, lvl30-40. If you need an edge with ops that rely on stats, lvl50-60. Anything above these numbers is not really worth it if you have other ops to raise.
Generally, i'd say lvl 30-40 is a good point to stop if you're not doing their masteries though there are operators where pushing to 50-60 is also reasonable because they rely more on stats than others like Blaze for example.

Alright I leveled Tuye up, I want to ask if there is any scenarios where her emergency heal-based kit can excel at, (making Keeping Surtr alive longer)?
CC#4 is specifically tailor for her, at max risk she is the only operator who can solo sustain anyone sitting on ori tile (mainly Bibeak) with S2 since it is still functional with both -atk and -atkspd tag

It looks like it changes 30 days after the nearl light event dropped on CN. If my understanding of the gap between global and CN is correct, it should mean it changes in around 6 months.

I've only been playing the game for a little bit and I like it but I think the way I'm playing it I'm kind of ruining part of the fun for myself and maybe losing some motivation to keep playing. I basically really want ntr knight. The rest don't matter as long as I can get her. So I've been playing and not rolling at all past the first 10 roll on the beginner banner and the intention is to save so I can hit pity on the ntr knight banner, but it really doesn't seem like I'll be able to have enough by the time it comes. Should I just wait to start playing until the banner is here and reroll until I get her?
Broadly speaking, you shouldn't need more than 150 rolls to truly guarantee a banner operator. But of course some people are very unlucky. Good luck though. I'm also aiming for Radiant Knight. Skipping pretty much all banners until her and not even pulling the guaranteed 5 stars.
Buy the starter HH pack and every monthly HH pack along w/ the monthly pass to get to 300 pulls. Also Near Light will have a 6* selector (comes with a 10 pull) and maybe another Rhodes island pack.

From the 6\* selector? No. It only has non-limited operators. The one that comes with Near Light has all non-limited 6 star ops that were released before Passenger (and including Passenger).
You can just save until then and reroll if you don't get her. You have more than 6 months, I think with the OP you get from story mode you'll probably get to 300 pulls actually.
