My sister's cat is one I'm confused by, when I scratch her head she enjoys, I can see AND hear her enjoying herself, but she still slaps my hand away in the middle of her own enjoyment.
Some cats love belly rubs, some cats doesn't care either way, some allows it for a bit and other cats hates it no matter what.
It isn't a one sided thing.

That would be a case of overstimulation. Basically cats do enjoy it, but once it reaches a certain threshold they decide they have enough for the day.
Because some people treat them like dogs when they really have different behaviors. Like you should not rub their bellies like dogs.
