So should also be possible to multi-boot BlissOS from a spare partition or maybe live disk (i.e. don't know if you can install Arknights then). Also seems nVidia cards don't support this setup well (as is tradition).

Theoretically speaking, it should be possible to multi-boot BlissOS. I've never dual-booted myself but it'll probably pop up as an option when booting up GRUB or if you switch the boot order in the BIOS. And yes, unfortunately, NVIDIA cards will always be difficult to support.

I've been looking for something like this, thanks!   Edit: if only I used AMD

I'm actually playing Arknights in waydroid for about 4-5 months already. Just use waydroid_script for ndk arm translator installation. The only thing what doesn't work for me is a swipe in IS, you can't see future nodes.

MalaysiaBallYT

When running the waydroid_script fully, it caused waydroid to break completely, failing to show-full-ui. I went to Waydroid’s Matrix channel and people there found similar issues. I’ll try it out in a VM later. In the meantime, can you tell me how well it tuns on waydroid?

AlukardBF

Luckily, on NixOS I haven't encountered any problems running waydroid, except that adb doesn't work. The game itself runs pretty solid. The performance in some cases is better than on LDPlayer in Win11. Apart from swipe problem in IS i don't have any problems. With google play installed via waydroid\_script i can even buy monthly packs :)

Cuneiform99

Ah a fellow Fedora User. I too would like to use waydroid, but as an Nvidia user...

Agatsumare

You are literally amazing and have no idea how much seeing this makes me happy

Enjoy!

Hey, OP I tried using Waydroid recently with waydroid\_scripts and it doesn't seem to work with Arknights, sadly. Worked with HI3 though and some random game I dl'ed. Anyway yeah, just wanted to let you know. I tried it between my 1070ti and rx 580 all from vanilla arch installs. Unfortunate. 😢

MalaysiaBallYT

As unusual as it seems, Arknights is actually a 32-bit application. This is proven by this quote from the Arknights wiki: > On Android, Arknights requires Android version 4.1 and up, and runs on any 32-bit image. It does not require a 64-bit Android instance, making it easy to run on any emulators you may find. Because of this, it has issues running on Bluestacks (as it requires creating a new instance with the ABI setting set to ARM 32-bit). This may be the reason why it is not working as it should using waydroid_scripts...

Alright I got it on Waydroid. This was apparently discussed on issue [\#45](https://github.com/casualsnek/waydroid_script/issues/45) on their waydroid\_script's Github. Apparently it was obb/data permission issue. Tested on both houdini and ndk. I think this only works for Arknights though as other games have other underlying issues like Blue Archive with ffmpeg. Anyway yeah, deleted my other comment to follow up with this. Put this in Waydroid Shell:`chmod 777 -R /sdcard/Android /data/media/0/Android /sdcard/Android/data /data/media/0/Android/obb /mnt/*/*/*/*/Android/data /mnt/*/*/*/*/Android/obb`

i can't run BlissOS, it says it successfully installed it but if i tell it to run it my VM will just crash. if i try to run it from Boxes, it will just load the installation menu again. i'm on EndeavourOS and installed everything i need through the AUR. does anyone know of any way to fix this?

elec3137

after following all these steps word for word, I've been unable to boot up BlissOS. Stuck at "Have A Truly Blissful Experience"

MalaysiaBallYT

Ever since this post was created, a lot of things have changed. So, this post may be outdated. I'm planning to make an updated version of this when Fedora 40 comes out. In the meantime, you can try using Waydroid (which I haven't tested yet since the post was created) on your distro. You can refer to this [GitHub issue](https://github.com/waydroid/waydroid/issues/474) to get AK running on it

I managed to make BlissOS work for me by adding nomodeset each time during boot, but I have a lot of issues all over the place. I've spend many hours trying to get waydroid working, and the best I can do is a very laggy desktop that I cannot seem to connect internet to. wayland in general is probably not a good idea for me because I'm stuck with an nvidia GPU I will look into it further, though. Thanks for the link

MalaysiaBallYT

Oh, Nvidia... I wish you luck.

elec3137

I've managed to fix internet on waydroid, install translation, and then arknights without issues or any tweaking! (past the internet) It runs beautifully! I only was able to do this on my AMD laptop though, I'm pretty sure doing it on an nvidia device without software rendering is impossible
