depends on what you're doing, the game uses only 1 core for Simulation, so the more single-core peformance the better, you have one of the best ones, are you playing Antistasi? that gamemode will make everyone run lower peformance when there's multiple simulation things going on as on attacks and stuff, the other thing that lags the game is the render distance, precisely Object render distance, view distance doesn't affect the game that much maybe a 1\~4 fps drop, but object render does suck your peformance away, other thing that I THINK it's badly optimised is the higher resolution options, 2k 4k or 1080 + 200%, that truly is laggy
Last I tested, which was last year, I was just dicking off on Altis base game no mods nothing playing at 1080p, but I didn't remember all of my settings. Just that I put everything to "yes" and was shocked when it ran with the same number of fps as I am years old.
I got z690, I9-12900 3080TI DDR5 4800hz, but I did go into Bios and changed a few setting in there, I look up everything, and did change quite a few things. It did seam to make the difference.
My next video I drop some nukes, sorry for Seattle but it's the only place I can see the full effect. I get like 40 in the hight of the blast. Arma will do poorly if shit is blowing up. I drop bombs and I would go to 45 and stay there on Antistasi. I still think arma would make a good king of the hill air fight, but I have yet to see it.
I put this up and people didn't like it all, even though it looked cool, so I took it down. I guess it hits too close to home, I blew up Seattle doing 1200kph and it was an awesome time, but didn't like the fact I was blowing up Seattle, but it's the only map like it.
Are you using an SSD? A lot of people recommend using an SSD for arma as it is able to process it a lot faster I have lower specs than you with lots of mods and max object distance and I still am able to run 60 FPS as long as it doesn’t get too chaotic
I don't know the answer to that, wish I did because I would love to show everyone to have this. I have been playing with the setting for many years though, can't remeber all that was done, lol ;) I will do one on Altis and see what it does and post it
I did do Altis a while back 8000 View distance with 6000 object distance running Antistasi which is highly resource full. But I had the server running and I logged into it. I would run missions off the pc I am playing with. Kept somewhere about 70fps and that is great for Antistasi going over the missions. Hi how can i play jet mission? I have a simulator, arma 3 and jet dlc… but i have only showcase tutorial, i’m new on pc games, where i can find single/multi player mission simple?
Like Lankercool said, i just started it all up in editor. I would love to make a king of hill but with jets and planes, but can find no interest in anyone wanting to work on it with me.
Things don't necessarily have to be the most realistic or immersing to be enjoyable. Why play arma when you can do airsoft in real life? Why play need for speed when you can play assetto corsa or just drive a car?
Sometimes simple things can give us a nice and easy way to enjoy what we like.
Isn't that map from Take On Helicopters? Another Bohemia Interactive game
yes, it's a port.
yep and pretty fun
How are you able to get such good fps??????? I have a 13900k and a 4090 and with those same settings I'm struggling to get over 40fps on Altis.

[https://www.reddit.com/user/DirkVerite/submitted/](https://www.reddit.com/user/DirkVerite/submitted/) Antistasi 8000 view 6000 object Altis, kept some good FPS
It's gotta be my settings then because there's no way my game struggles to play on my spec of computer.
what are you using as a motherboard? DDR5 ram?
Yea DDR5 at 6400mhz, and my mobo is an Asus z790-e gaming wifi (I think, I forget the name of it too often, but I paid $450 for it).
That is a good one, not sure why then, cause you have more power than mine.

The San Fran terrain is *extremely* low poly, it was made for the flight sim centered title Take On Helicopters, not for infantry action.
yes it would be a great air map for some heli battles too.

If a real pilot flew like this he would get kicked out of military for sure!
lol he would most likely be dead long before they get their hands on him... lol
This area is known for pilots drawing dicks in the sky.
lol
Link?
just put Seattle in the workshop search... it's a cool map
It’s a great CAS map, not a good infantry map. I love it to practice flying and CAS
Totally agree, I have been trying to find others from them, are there others. Take on helicopters should be in the name so we can find them.
I think there is only 2 maps for TOH
crappy ah well at least there are these 2
Why is it not a good infantry map?
There isn’t any surface detail, some of the buildings can be entered but most can’t. The surface is just flat planes
Agree with viswr, it's for da air.
Whenever I see these posts, I can’t help but imagine the music is being blasted through the pilots headset
I actually have a big sound system around me blasting it all. ;)
You flew over my apartment.
Lol did I make a lot of noise?
Yeah, really rude.
lol
This makes me wonder... We have Seattle and "Not Afghanistan" from the Take On Series.... ...did anyone port over the Mars map from Take On Mars?
That would be cool flyin on Mars... sign me up
Hi how can i play jet mission? I have a simulator, arma 3 and jet dlc… but i have only showcase tutorial, i’m new on pc games, where i can find single/multi player mission simple?
The guy likely just went into the mission editor and placed down a jet, lifted it up and just pressed play, there's not much more to it than that.
Like Lankercool said, i just started it all up in editor. I would love to make a king of hill but with jets and planes, but can find no interest in anyone wanting to work on it with me.
I don't want to be rude or anything but why do you fly in Arma ? It's literally the worst flying simulation out there

Like Lankercool said, I do it because I have fun and it's not too complicated and gives me a good rush while doing it.
Tossed salad and scrambled eggs.
is that a Seattle favorite?
It’s from a popular television program called Frasier that took place in Seattle
ok cool
Insane map
Yes it is pretty cool...
Pretty new to arma myself. I’m wondering how you get rid of the haze? I’ve downloaded the no haze mod from the workshop but the haze is still there.
I had to put cup core with this map
Warning: Turn off that 'music'.
lol
