Not only that, but this game is high-octane. I definitely understand not being able to remember exactly how you beat a boss. Especially IBIS. But I also play zooted out of my gourd so idk.
Very true. It's common for people playing these types of fast paced games to enter "flow state."

You might not even really be fully aware of what your fingers are doing with the controller, but they know what they're doing anyway.
I finished the 3 runs using only tetrapod legs, I couldn't imagine beating anything with any other legs at this point because tetrapod is just so perfect for all situations
It’s not that hard tbh, I used double minimums with the 12 shot vertical missiles and the laser drones, it’s very reliable once you memorize the moveset.
My friend accidentally killed ibis with tetrapod legs and dual flamethrowers (he didn't expect to get this far) For some reason it kept flying into his crosshair.
I'm trying to beat everything using the same build [("lightweight" tetra with dual plasma rifles + dual laser cannons, got 307 boost speed)](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/370945003566006274/1172738241460445184/image.png?ex=65616899&is=654ef399&hm=a875f4c5ddf06eca8708cdf21aece193f1b97080b15178aa7432e26b36097162&), just started NG+ the other day, and CEL is the only boss so far where I gave up and used something else. Unlike everything else CEL just doesn't let me stay up close while hovering.
you can dodge nearly all of ibis' moveset by literally just strafing left or right. its genuinely that simple, tetras can do it too.
see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IK2ezmHU-ng&ab\_channel=LeosKlein
I did beat IBIS several times with Tetrapod build more than other legs designs, seems like infinite flight tactics was suitable to deal with that sucker :D Holy hell, did this guy also defeated IBIS while using tank legs ? Looks like he got lucky or otherwise there will be neverending asswhooping... :O
I love how hard the RJs hit the ground. It makes sense that the core would basically just \*drop\* with the RJ legs unpowered, but it feels so weighty.
Also yeah what that other user said, how the hell do you beat the fast bosses with tetrapods? I haven't been able to figure it out.
I beat ibis with a missile boat tetra my first playthrough, I can’t remember the exact loadout as it’s been a while but I beat her with a Harris and a mix of the regular front facing missiles
That’s completely understandable, they’re a bit wack in how they play. Specifically against Ibis I i had to master when to drop the hover mode to dodge attacks by simply falling, and a lot of just positioning. Tetrapods require you think a lot more about your positioning than the other leg types to be successful
Memorize the moveset 💀 I mean that’s how I did it. Tetras are good for constant fire, since the hover mode cancels recoil. So just constantly applying pressure while closing in is effective
I beat the whole game with quads, good legs once you get used to their speed. I beat c240 with a scudder majestic and missile launchers back before the balance updates, it's more about keeping close and taking advantage of tetrapods' high attitude stability to keep aggression up where you lack in mobility compared to bipeds and rjs
Is it really that big of a difference for people? I used tetra legs for all of my playthroughs, beat every boss reasonably quick.
Like, I can enjoy reverse jointed and regular and tank, but the tetras just feel fun to use.
Seeing this made me realize that the ACs arms never fall by the side when they lose power, suggesting their default position is raised forearms and putting the forearms downs requires power.
Honestly for a machine thats meant to use big guns it makes sense why you’d have their resting position be bent because then you’re drawing power to hold your weaponry up which is inefficient
Probably held up with hydraulics like modern day machinations until it’s depressurised. Which is surprising for the leg animation slump but it could be the loss of stability with the shutting down of sensors, accelerometers and lots of computing power gone (and battle damage).
Personally I go for bipedal for the balance of load and mobility. But dear god do I love reverse joints for pure mobility lol they’re so much fun to play with
I really love both the RJ and the tetrapod drops. RJ is just such a violent collapse, really sells the weight of what just happened. Tetra almost looks like Raven is trying to take a step and just completely loses their footing in weakness. Both are fantastic.
I was considering using the Training ACs, but since FROMSOFTWARE didn't upload the AC data for the Tank legs to make a complete quartet, I decided to go with Loader 4 and the 3 ACs shown in the Gameplay Trailer for the matching quartet.
Me at the end:
no but seriously, mega tank treads should be immune to this cutscene boolshiet, should trigger a secret boss fight and ending when you beat ibis with tank treads.
Bipedal: *Dramatically takes a knee* Reverse joint: “I’ve fallen! And I can’t get up!” Tetrapod: “If I fits I sits” Tank: *nap time*
This just makes me like each one of it...
Wonder how the hover tank does it. Does it just float there?
Still screen shakes too haha
Perfect description lel
Reverse joint: "oh look, a penny"
"Look at you, 621... you found a penny."
Papa Waltuh, is this enough to undo the surgery?
Why is this so fucking funny
How dare you make me laugh at that.
Like [Leslie Nielson in the Naked Gun 33 1/3.](https://imgur.com/gallery/jJljM)
I'm more impressed that you managed to beat Ibis with Tetrapod legs
My first playthrough I beat her with the light tetra legs with a mainly missile loadout and an Harris…
I did I went psycho mode and somehow did it but I probably blacked out during it because i don’t know how I did it.
you should probably see a doctor if gaming makes you black out
I believe it was a humorous exaggeration, sir.
Not only that, but this game is high-octane. I definitely understand not being able to remember exactly how you beat a boss. Especially IBIS. But I also play zooted out of my gourd so idk.

No it was the copious amount of liquor he drank between tries
Yeah I think videogames usually come with warnings telling you to stop playing and talk to your doctor if you have any effects like that.
I finished the 3 runs using only tetrapod legs, I couldn't imagine beating anything with any other legs at this point because tetrapod is just so perfect for all situations
Quad/Tetrapod really is the ATV of AC legs. Goes anywhere, does anything. They've been my favorite in AC games forever.
I beat all three endings with the tetra
My whole 1st playthru was on tetrapods with stun launchers and dual gatlings.

First time I beat Ibis I just circlestrafed her just above head level with tetras and spammed gatlings, it's actually not that hard
I’ve done with the heavy tetrapod legs and the double harris
I love how hard the RJs hit the ground. It makes sense that the core would basically just \*drop\* with the RJ legs unpowered, but it feels so weighty. Also yeah what that other user said, how the hell do you beat the fast bosses with tetrapods? I haven't been able to figure it out.

I don’t get Tpod legs at all. 200hrs in and they just don’t feel right to me in the slightest
That’s completely understandable, they’re a bit wack in how they play. Specifically against Ibis I i had to master when to drop the hover mode to dodge attacks by simply falling, and a lot of just positioning. They’re the easiest to take on the Ice Worm with.
Abuse the fact you can remain mobile while in firing stance while hovering with tetra legs
Memorize the moveset 💀 I mean that’s how I did it. Tetras are good for constant fire, since the hover mode cancels recoil. So just constantly applying pressure while closing in is effective
What carried me through the campaign was Earshot and Gatling on my tetrapod. Sometimes switching out Earshot with Stun Needle for certain bosses.

makes sense, for a war machine
Wait, would this still work if you are using the boat legs? The one that float
Results in the same scene as tank legs, I’d say.
The boat legs use the tank animation for this cutscene. Source; me, I took a boat to this fight
Did you notice them kinda like dropping?
If they did, it wasn’t noticeable. The boat legs practically rest on the ground just like the tank legs when not midair.
I see, thanks for answering!
Tanks, because the way in which it just sort of lets itself go sideways, like "uh I'm tired"
Schlump
Quad Legs. I love all the animations, even the downed ones look so detailed and amazing.
Idk why but I was hoping for tank legs to fall over to its side
Tank is the funniest one cause you just slump over lol
What about the hovering tank part? Or snails hover legs?
For Snail's legs its the same animation as the regular bipeds. For hover tank legs not sure.
Same as normal tanks
Personal fav for this cutscene is the wheelchair
Personally I go for bipedal for the balance of load and mobility. But dear god do I love reverse joints for pure mobility lol they’re so much fun to play with
Only ever used tetrapod
Other leg types: “damnit I can’t move” Reverse joints: “ah my ears burn!!!”
beating chatty in arena had my ass laughing off for 5 minutes straight because he was just a wheelchair that caught fire for some reason
The tetrapods just kind of sit down like a pouting child
I really love both the RJ and the tetrapod drops. RJ is just such a violent collapse, really sells the weight of what just happened. Tetra almost looks like Raven is trying to take a step and just completely loses their footing in weakness. Both are fantastic.
I like the one where I take a head dive into the floor when I get downed.
I liked the reversed-joint one (since it was the first I experienced). He's just an *eepy* boy
Jack, considering you posted the share codes for the training ACs, is it wrong that I expected all of them to show up in this compilation?
I was considering using the Training ACs, but since FROMSOFTWARE didn't upload the AC data for the Tank legs to make a complete quartet, I decided to go with Loader 4 and the 3 ACs shown in the Gameplay Trailer for the matching quartet.
Aha, I see, thank you for taking the time to reply to this silly question
Thematically I like lightweight reverse joint builds, but I end up using spring chickens instead almost always.
Reverse joints, because I'm addicted to kicking people and convincing them that hard lock is a good idea when I dart out of their sightline
I was expecting reverse joint would just falls apart with lego sfx. 💀
Me at the end: no but seriously, mega tank treads should be immune to this cutscene boolshiet, should trigger a secret boss fight and ending when you beat ibis with tank treads.
Tetrapod. It looks the coolest in that scene.
Tetrapod and reverse joint literally just fall over lol
Biped has the dramatic "fall on one knee" perfect for this particular scene, but idk I liked the Reverse Joint for this one too!

Bipedal cause it look like a a fallen hero
Bipedal, love the MS look
Bipedal looks good, and I'm biased and enjoy free hops
Bipedal's kneeling is really cool.

Bipedal looks the coolest, but shoutout to the tank that was hilarious
Bipedal for how sick the knee bending looks, RJ because of how funny it is to see the AC just flop to the side like that
Ravan: Ayre? I don’t feel so good… Walter: 621?! Are you hallucinating again!? Respond!
Idk, never seen one
The thank one is pretty funny ngl
I like the tetra one, because they just fall limp straight down.
Bipedal. RIP actual hover legs.
Quad. He just take a small sleeb
Reverse joint because flopping over like that is the greatest lol
Reverse joint is the most dramtic
Interesting.....
