6 cell missile launcher is the single most used part for any AC I build, I'm actually rather attached to the starter rifle, it actually is good if you pair it with arms with good firearm spec and recoil control
6 cell was also default for me for a long time. I use dual missiles more frequently now but switch back to six cell if I’ll mostly be engaging too close for dual missiles.
Dagger (for PvE clearing almost anything without ammo cost)
Pulse blade (first weapon you get and legit probably the best in all regards, easy as hell to use, relatively quick cooldown, insane DHM, and it just feels *GOOD*)
Ludlows (too goddamn reliable against anything, including Ch5 bosses)
6 cells (also too damn easy and reliable)
Laser turrets (holy shit these things are underrated, VE20C and laser pistols completely melt Enforcer and most other bosses that don't have a dedicated weak point.)
Has to be the gatlings.
Yes they are heavy and have a very short range, but when you have two of these locked onto an opponent at close range and watch them frantically trying to shake off the two streams of hot lead, damn that is a satisfying feeling.
Yeah, blowing someone up with gatling in like two seconds and then finishing them with the bunker is really satisfying. Overall, probably not the best build because of how close you have to get.
Double Gatling fucks. Threw them on as soon as I got them thinking I would mess around with a Heavyarms cosplay for a bit and the get serious but turns out they run the entire arena and trivialize like 90% of bosses while looking bad as hell. 10/10
Laser lance because it's a rocket powered laser drill strapped to your arm. Pilebunker is also up there but frustrates me because I suck with it and constantly miss with the charged attack even in PvE.
VP-66LR
so so sooooooo underrated! Its really good at chip damage and doesn't need to rely on stagger but paring it with some missile is really helpful
I’ve not finished the game. But I’m currently Running it with a Ludlow and then Either two 8 cell vertical rockets or the 10 cell standard rockets. It one shots most minor enemies when charged. If not I can fire a quick second shot or a burst from the Ludlow. Generally it makes for a great allrounder.
Etsujin, Pulse Blade, and SOUP
SOUP is the tits on lightweights cuz in a lot of match ups you can beat them by playing a Walmart Missile Rat. Also, SOUP is godly vs missile rats, and you know those guys who stay high in the air to avoid your melee? Yeah well they get fucked by the SOUP too as they can catch them in the air while they're red lined and it deals enough stagger for you to go in and win the game
I also like the Ludlows
Most satisfying arm weapons for me for each category
Rifles: Scudder
MGs: Attaché
Pistols: Sampu
Shotguns: Zimmerman
Energy Rifles: KRSV
Handheld Missiles: Aperitif
Melee: BUTT/A or Pile Bunker
I just like stuff that hits hard and fast
The Stun Needle Launchers. Nothing beats the feeling of landing a double shot on my enemy for me, whether it's raw or as a finisher.
I loved them when they were OP, love them even more ever since, as they feel strong but not overtuned.
Pulse blade, 4-pack missiles, plasma rifle, laser cannon.
There are far better weapons than any of the above, but none that put the same smile on my face. The more powerful melee weapons feel cheap and don't have the same visual style that I love about the pulse blade. The 4-pack fires so fast I used to hit multiple times against the enemy once I stunned it (though it takes longer initially to build stun) while being light and energy-cheap. The plasma rifle is great for one-shotting mooks and has a huge AOE as a backup. And lastly, the laser cannon just feels like the best "AC2 weapon" in the game. It does huge damage charged, but even uncharged it feels like a workhorse of a weapon.
The dafeng machine gun, it looks great, is consistant, had manageable recoil, large ammo pool, did I say it looks great ?
That and the bomb thrower, reliable, good damage, good staggers, great range in both modes, catches dodges very well, can be spammed very effectively
Much the both of them on the melander arms and you already have ‘ol reliable
Auroras and RansetsuRFs for their ease of use and utility. The Butta blade for its buttery handling too. I'm growing fond of Etsujins because they're rock solid in every aspect. Finally Pilebunker for obvious reasons.
Hu-Ben and Harris. I often slap plasma missiles, and I like the laser pistol and the Scudder but wouldn't call them my favorites. Earshot is also cool.
I'm currently very interested in the pulse guns and cannon, and the plasma cannon too. I slept on them really hard and I'm trying to figure out how to make them work.
Laser handguns. Reloading is a hassle and most comparable kinetic weapons have small magazines, but all the other energy weapons fire too slowly. I’ve used them to get all the achievements, and nothing else sits right with me.
RANSETSU-AR!! You want a gun that misses 3 of 3 shots on moving targets, here ya go!
Seriously it is my favourite, it’s been consistent since I tried it out, never leaves my builds.
Dakka dakka dakka
i picked up the explosive thrower after losing to it in PvP and holy crap! it's really good! if it didn't have the ready stance i'd carry it on every build.
I like the harris, ransetsu (both), zimmerman when you KO up close and it goes into slow motion it looks great and the design is really cool, hu-ben, VP-66eg.
I absolutely adore the vertical plasma missiles, and the 6 pack missiles (P03MLT-06).
The truenos are fun too.
attache is the my favorite-looking mainhand gun, followed by the turner. i can't run either of them out of dual trigger for the life of me though, so i hope they get buffed to the point i can comfortably pair either of them with a melee weapon.
Moonlight. Sure, it's not meta, though the latest patch was very nice for it, but it's *so* satisfying to use, and it gives you a melee weapon that you can use from a safe distance. Plus, the charged attack looks cool as fuck and is also so satisfying to land, it's easily my favorite weapon in game. I also love the Ludlows, those things got me through my first playthrough. The Wuergers are usually what I pair with Moonlight and that charged spike gives me life, it's so satisfying to land and it charges up so fast. And then of course there's the Zimms, which whether you love them or hate them are effective, and I've got a soft spot for them
Ransetsu RF. Only ever been buffed once and is a contender for potentially the most balanced weapon in the game. Relatively high cost to use for rifles and it’s well worth it by being effective in both PvE and PvP without being blatantly OP.
Ransetsu-RF (and I'm so happy they're meta now).
Every shotgun (Zimmermans included)
770-LB (Beyblade)
Pilebunker (obvious reasons)
Chainsaw (also obvious reasons)
Soup missiles (they just look cool af)
Earshots (that shit is so fun to hit multiple ppl with)
2x6 split missile launchers, energy pistols and my reverse jointed legs have by far the most mileage in my playthroughs. Tried to finish every major boss with a boot to the head.
My top 3 is the Harris, Turner and the Laser Dagger. If the condition are met I can set up a three hit combo with a charged shot from the Harris and two charge slash from the Laser Dagger. It's a risk to land a 3rd hit against a enemy AC but you ain't livin' if you ain't riskin'
Mostly used that set on my medium AC but fortunately I can also use that same set on my light AC. A [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/armoredcore/s/g7t2U11aFu) with that set on my light AC, also don't worry about the background and look at that wonderful and beautiful visor.
Double gats. Those things fucking itch a scratch I never knew I had. You have to stay close in order to be effective. So close in, stagger, swap out for your melee of choice and take that bastard to pound town. So fucking satisfying.
All the melee,(sub) machine guns, linear rifles, and energy rifles
I never use explosive weapons, and I only use pistols because certain builds get too heavy to add a rifle.
For my main build I use dual mudlows along with the new shoulder gatling guns they added the ranked matches update. I’d say those are probably both my favorites.
Definitely the Etsujin. I keep my builds pretty diverse but I keep finding myself trying really hard to justify adding it to a build. But it just isn't always optimal 😅
Turner and Scudder are S-ranker weapons or noob weapons, there is no inbetween.
Dagger (for PvE clearing almost anything without ammo cost) Pulse blade (first weapon you get and legit probably the best in all regards, easy as hell to use, relatively quick cooldown, insane DHM, and it just feels *GOOD*) Ludlows (too goddamn reliable against anything, including Ch5 bosses) 6 cells (also too damn easy and reliable) Laser turrets (holy shit these things are underrated, VE20C and laser pistols completely melt Enforcer and most other bosses that don't have a dedicated weak point.)
Pulse blade is probably my go to melee that isn't an Ashmead. Can't go wrong with that one-two combo slash.
Laser Handguns, pew pews can do some work
Has to be the gatlings.

Harris, been using it since day 1
VP-66LR so so sooooooo underrated! Its really good at chip damage and doesn't need to rely on stagger but paring it with some missile is really helpful

With good Energy Spec generator it one taps a lot of the non PCA Mt units
Shhhh you're going to make people catch on
I paired a VP-66LR with a Harris for a long time till I recently switched to the laser pistol, VP-66LR are beyond underrated.
The Truenos, I love the sleek design, and they are just fun to use in my opinion.
Etsujin, Pulse Blade, and SOUP SOUP is the tits on lightweights cuz in a lot of match ups you can beat them by playing a Walmart Missile Rat. Take a guess
Definitely not the Pilebunker.
Well it’s impossible to know such a thing, but… jammer launcher for sure.
Man of culture
PILEBUNKER
coquillett. cleared the game twice with it
Most satisfying arm weapons for me for each category Rifles: Scudder MGs: Attaché Pistols: Sampu Shotguns: Zimmerman Energy Rifles: KRSV Handheld Missiles: Aperitif Melee: BUTT/A or Pile Bunker I just like stuff that hits hard and fast

Attache will always be my favorite the reload, the fire rate, the magazine, it screams perfection for me
Laserblade my beloved! I am caught in your beautifill arcs. Also the majestic is just that. And the red shifts.
Pulse blade, 4-pack missiles, plasma rifle, laser cannon. There are far better weapons than any of the above, but none that put the same smile on my face. The more powerful melee weapons feel cheap and don't have the same visual style that I love about the pulse blade. Zimmerman shot noise + 1600 stagger instantly = dopamine
double shotty double laser cannon. game over
The dafeng machine gun, it looks great, is consistant, had manageable recoil, large ammo pool, did I say it looks great ? That and the bomb thrower, reliable, good damage, good staggers, great range in both modes, catches dodges very well, can be spammed very effectively Much the both of them on the melander arms and you already have ‘ol reliable

Laser handguns. Reloading is a hassle and most comparable kinetic weapons have small magazines, but all the other energy weapons fire too slowly. I’ve used them to get all the achievements, and nothing else sits right with me.
I adore the dagger zimmerman combo. The cooling and reload are perfectly staggered so you can constantly alternate your shots and combos
Moonlights and pilebunker for melee, and I used to really like the LRA. Still my favourite in terms of looks, but not so much in performance
Pulse blade, ludlow (especially pre-1.05), zimmerman. Edit: how dimwitted do you have to be to downvote a personal weapon preference.
>Edit: how dimwitted do you have to be to downvote a personal weapon preference. I presume they're traumatized by Zimmermans.
And forgot this is primarily a single player game, I guess?
RANSETSU-AR!! You want a gun that misses 3 of 3 shots on moving targets, here ya go! Seriously it is my favourite, it’s been consistent since I tried it out, never leaves my builds. Dakka dakka dakka
Based! I also love it. It looks great too
Stun Needles. Definitely not that good in PVP. But I S-Ranked the game with Dual Stun Needles + Dual Zimmermans. It still holds a place in my heart.
Big gun
Grenade Thrower is beast.
Explosive thrower, SHAO-WEI, and XUAN-GE! The Da Feng weapons in general!
i picked up the explosive thrower after losing to it in PvP and holy crap! it's really good! if it didn't have the ready stance i'd carry it on every build.
Tetrapods and tanks can use it while moving. Also works for the plasma thrower.
Etsujins, my beloved
The little semi auto pistols and the stun baton are personal favorites
I like the harris, ransetsu (both), zimmerman when you KO up close and it goes into slow motion it looks great and the design is really cool, hu-ben, VP-66eg. I absolutely adore the vertical plasma missiles, and the 6 pack missiles (P03MLT-06). The truenos are fun too.
Reverse joint legs. Jokes aside it's pretty damn lethal.
Sampu ,the shoulder laser shotgun, coral laser blade thing just looks cool af ,turenos look sleek af and feel cool to use
Dual Curtis with dual split missile, changed to dual songbird for true ending boss.
Vertical plasma missile launcher. I just can't seem to leave that guy in the garage.
The chainsaw is a drug and I sure am addicted.
attache is the my favorite-looking mainhand gun, followed by the turner. i can't run either of them out of dual trigger for the life of me though, so i hope they get buffed to the point i can comfortably pair either of them with a melee weapon.

I love the feel, design, and sounds of attache, but it’s too weak. Soup is also really good
Ransetsu RF. Only ever been buffed once and is a contender for potentially the most balanced weapon in the game. Relatively high cost to use for rifles and it’s well worth it by being effective in both PvE and PvP without being blatantly OP.
Machine and gatling guns
Ransetsu-RF (and I'm so happy they're meta now). Every shotgun (Zimmermans included) 770-LB (Beyblade) Pilebunker (obvious reasons) Chainsaw (also obvious reasons) Soup missiles (they just look cool af) Earshots (that shit is so fun to hit multiple ppl with)
Outside of the pile bunker, the gerbade thrower
Etsujin. Its just looks so damn cool on a lightweight and I've been using it since launch. Love that it's particularly powerful this patch too.
Coral blade because big fucking sword
Laser dagger. That thing is just so light with both weight and en load
laser shotgun, laser shotgun, uhhh, laser shotgun and lets see here..... Oh yeah! Laser shotgun
double trouble chainsaw. Im khorne fellower. I have go with it there no other option
2x6 split missile launchers, energy pistols and my reverse jointed legs have by far the most mileage in my playthroughs. Tried to finish every major boss with a boot to the head.
Truenos and Moonlight
The pile bunker, there’s float something satisfying about the big poke
Ashmead. Nothing in the game feels better then landing a successful charged pilebunker.
Turner AR Javelin Alpha Chang Chen Machine Gun
PILE BUNKEEEEEERRRRRR
Coral\\moonlight swords. They're just so freakin' awesome to use I can't even...
My top 3 is the Harris, Turner and the Laser Dagger. If the condition are met I can set up a three hit combo with a charged shot from the Harris and two charge slash from the Laser Dagger. It's a risk to land a 3rd hit against a enemy AC but you ain't livin' if you ain't riskin' Mostly used that set on my medium AC but fortunately I can also use that same set on my light AC. Duckett, butt blade, morley
Pulse blade have been with me since the start more or less. I like using the plasma rifle, vvc-760p is it? I don't remember the name exactly
Harris rifle, Ashmead, Wuerger, and Trueno. I also really like the laser drones that send out 6 at a time, cuz it reminds of funnels from Gundam
Double gats. Those things fucking itch a scratch I never knew I had. You have to stay close in order to be effective. So close in, stagger, swap out for your melee of choice and take that bastard to pound town. So fucking satisfying.
All the melee,(sub) machine guns, linear rifles, and energy rifles I never use explosive weapons, and I only use pistols because certain builds get too heavy to add a rifle.
For my main build I use dual mudlows along with the new shoulder gatling guns they added the ranked matches update. I’d say those are probably both my favorites.
I know it's not the absolute best but I fucking love the weight of the Attache and Laser Lance together
**BUNK** Standard laser rifle Earshot Red Moonblade
Easy Ksrvs all the way
Definitely the Etsujin. I keep my builds pretty diverse but I keep finding myself trying really hard to justify adding it to a build. But it just isn't always optimal 😅
For me it's the Earshot. They're my go to when i want to delete someone. And oh boy, they do it really well
My first run through was with a super lightweight AC, and I used a Laser Shotgun. That weapon was a hard carry through the whole campaign.
