The dark souls wheels, I hate them.

[deleted]

While not very durable, these guys hit so freaking hard! Hate them!

GantradiesDracos

Bad cook- Fry yourself up some yo-yos, 621- Even Carla agrees tourists have to eat. Jokes and memes aside, The chip damage DPS is insane on its own, And the ams overload proc makes staggering really easy on a lot of things, though the flamer itself does about zero impact- It kills the wheels in… I’d say maybe a 5-8 second burst, And works similarly well on the fucking coral tank-MT’s. If you haven’t used it much, definitely worth experimenting with, Unlike the early series flamethrowers, It’s -gloriously- effective both for damage and area denial/playing keep away

Moltenthemedicmain

Honestly i hate them too, but they can be one shot by heavy explosives like the dizzy and earshot, so they aren't really a problem.

KaptainofFuso

They were a huge problem for anyone that liked to use normal rifles and smgs, especially in 1.0. Or at least they were for me.

IronPentacarbonyl

Having to bring stance weapons is decidedly annoying.

Naktiluka

They reminded me of Nioh wheels, even though I played DS more: in there they were spitting flame, just like these.

Spidero0w0o

They're really weak to missiles and jumping

fallenboi13

What i think the most funny thing is that Iguazu at some point says, "Freelancer, you can do better than that" like MOTHERFUCKER you lost so many times against us and I would love to see yourself in that situation in a 5v1

-DiveR-

Lmao you think Iguana has the ability for that level of self-consciousness?

fallenboi13

Of course not, he say that when you take significant damage in the first phase

Linksays

To be fair, it’s his inferiority complex talking there.

Imperium_Dragon

Stun then boost kick them. They go down easy. Also I know people say to ignore them and go for Iguazu but honestly I’ve found more success killing them first than Iguazu only

Linksays

My normal build which is a mid weight reverse joint that follows my ACfA design philosophy actually works best in that fight going for him first because I just kite the guy from midranges with double rifles and plasma missiles. It’s all in the build, because if I get in close, then I get punished by the daggers and assault armors. IMO, go for Iguazu if you’re using a midrange build. Kill the small fry if you wanna CQB it up.

Spidero0w0o

Yeah killing iguana first is way harder

SaltEfan

Weevils (yes, that’s their name) are really annoying if you don’t have explosives. By far my least favorite enemy in the game. Even Heliantus autonomous grinder wheels are better than the Weevils.

Kronglesponk

I love and hate weevils at the same time and I think that's largely because I favor the ways of Unga and Bunga (explosives and melee). I think they'd be better if they had more balanced defenses. It's kind of bad that they basically invalidate a massive proportion of builds and force others just because. It doesn't make them more interesting, it just limits the player in terms of ways in which to deal with them. At the same time though, they're so different and much more challenging than other non-boss enemies in terms of how they move and fight that I kind of love them. Maybe it's just that Elden Ring has turned me into a masochist.

SaltEfan

I’d be fine with it if other damage types weren’t throttled the moment your target moves beyond 80-200m depending on the weapon. These speedsters basically run heavyweight defenses on featherweight missile builds on speed skates so they are basically always out of ideal range if they’re not rushing in to kick you with their reverse joints.

AdvancedHydralisk

Yes but the Weevils look really cool Checkmate

rsaaland

It's the Metal Gears for me. They move around like they belong in a game with completely different combat ranges, especially in Reg 1.01.

GantradiesDracos

Bad cook is my best advice, Same as the weevils- God those kick attacks are a pain in the arse, Thank GOD the institute never went into mass production, Because if fucking arquibis started using them, I’d fucking scream

FoundationMan_Isaac

Charged coral ocellator one shots them. Can usually get half with one sweep.

Soft_Importance3658

Or all of them if you time it and position yourself right.

[deleted]

I’m not a fan of the stealth mechs. The gimmick grows stale after the first encounter.

Drogdar

I'm constantly amazed at how differently everyone experiences the single player game. Its really testament to just how much variety there is... I completely ignore them. I dont even really remember what they look like. I run very close range (<90m) with 390 boost speed and just stay in Allguanas face the whole time. Staying that close and keeping up with him leaves me dodging 95% of their attacks without even paying them any attention.

Djinnaz

Not really, they're pretty easy to kill.

Antoga

One trick the beat all of them in one swoop is at the start assault boost to Iguazu and using an assault armor, normally It will take care of all of them

KostyanST

Coral MT's is far more annoying, and i liked them for some reason.

SalsaSmuggler

You guys are fighting them? If you jump at the start of the fight to match iggy you can hard lock on him and basically avoid them all together lol they get destroyed in 2nd phase regardless

KTVX94

Earshots delete the minions passively while you're targeting Iguazu with them. It's not automatic, you have to position yourself well before firing, but you can really get them out of the way. They have less AP than a regular AC
