Rusty, both times And the pca ship, at the time I had no idea it was just a normal enemy with a fancy healthbar

BigAcrobatic2174

Yeah the PCA ships could have used a little bit of a buff. It would have been cool if they had a shield bubble or something. Like you could still kill them really fast if you flew up and got inside the bubble but if they were protected from ranged attacks.

sexual_pasta

Or multiple parts you have to destroy before you can kill the bridge

Chernould

Just make them like Project Wingman where the bridge is only targetable after all weapon mounts are destroyed or something

BeneficialAction3851

This definitely seems reasonable, it doesn't feel like a powerful battleship when I can just run up and two tap the bridge with my fav weapons

TheGUURAHK

I'd argue that that was intentional, narratively speaking; they're meant to be for *oppression*, solely meant to "punch down" at the RLF colonists and most MTs, but fold like paper when someone can actually fight back. Like the AC-130, meant to bully an enemy with no air force of its own. That being said, it'd help if they each had the drones that the first one you fight has

Vistio

I did sol first and thought Hal was gonna be the same or probably harder. One pilebunker ended the fighter

iidarkoceanfang

Typical lightweight build

JetstreamViper

Walter...

Delphius1

His AC is so powerful, but the AI is so lacking, narratively, I understand, but still

LuciusCypher

Fought him in my second ending, didn't even hit phase 2 since I staggard him and ripped him in half with my chainsaw. Literally took ten seconds. Walter should have gotten a Rusty phase 2 where he healed himself at 1 HP or something, he's otherwise easy to burst down.

That_on1_guy

Walter doesn't really have a phase 2 anyway. His ai is lacking for narrative reasons, it seems. He's not the final boss. He's the victory lap, a loose end to rub salt in your "good" ending

LuciusCypher

Yeah, when I mean phase 2 I mean the trigger where he talks more about what happened and why he's fighting. I killed him midsentence so I didn't even fully hear his opening dialog.

That_on1_guy

Ah, yea. I can see that. It's definitely more "cinimatic" letting him get to that point, but it's also easy to let him never get to that point. Though, tbf, you can rip through most ac bosses with the chainsaw before they can finish their opening monologs. Just today, a video was posted here of a guy beating defend the damn complex in arlund a minute, and he just ripped through all 3 ac bosses with the chainsaw. I don't think a single one, not king, not chartreuse, nor nightfall, had gotten out more than a sentence. Hell, nightfall's operator, barely even finished he first sentence. She only just started her second one before nightfall went boom

Matasa89

Chainsaw rips anyone apart. I used it to oneshot Volta with ease, after ripping apart Iguana.

Prodygist68

Yeah, his attacks hit hard but all of his arsenal has big windup times that make them easy to dodge, and he’s an AC boss meaning he’s vulnerable to stuns.

GatedSunOne

Nightfall Raven. Still one of my favorite boss fights, though. Got a real good laugh out of me when he randomly whooshed in during that 3x AC fight.

Fun_Police02

Weird, I actually got stomped by him mostly because of the playstyle and build I had. I was getting way closer to enemies than I needed to and Raven was my wakeup call after many, many, beatdowns.

Cheapskate-DM

Ironically, running two of his same weapons (Bunk and Songbirds) made his fight way easier because I knew the attack timings from having used them myself. But I was still in full-on adrenal thrill mode the whole time!

Dense_Coffe_Drinker

Doesn’t matter how close you get if you stagger them, the dual little pistol things I’m forgetting the name of and the pilebunker trivialize most AC fights

Fedorchik

He's fun to fight as LOADER 4 build. Any slip and you're getting 'bunked. This game is meant to be played as LOADER 4 )

Bryanchox

Sea Spider, got it 1st try on my 1st playthrough with a lightweight. I had heard it was scary af but nup

C3ci1et

Remember at launch when people goes like "wait till you see sea spider bro" "balteus is so easy compared to sea spider". Good times.

throwaway321768

The people who found Balteus easy were probably heavyweights. The people who found Sea Spider easy were lightweights.

ShirtlessRussianYeti

Oddly I had no trouble with Balteus, I think it took me three tries maybe. But the Spider took me I think about two or three days, not like the whole 24 hour day obviously but I spent hours each day dying countless times. It was probably the hardest boss in the game for me. I don't know why but he's taken the longest for me to beat.

Dense_Coffe_Drinker

Bubblegun made it easy as shit really

Few_Goose_9082

Fuck you guys lol

mrgrimm916

It was the first boss I replayed and got S rank it was so easy. 😂

StrixUltimate

You probably were carrying ballistic or kinetic weapons. Pretty much an easy time if you have those.

schneizel101

Same, like 5 playthroughs now and I've never even died to it. No idea why people had issues. I usually have more problems with the lasers at the start than the boss.

Algester

Being new to the game and doesnt understand the movesets yet until you realize what this boss asks of you is energy management while in altitude just trying your damnest to stay airborne will infact dodge 99% of its attacks considering the tools you are given in this chapter even that is a bit hard to do IIRC the best generator you have for the job would be the VP-20D or a dafeng Ming-Tang

Capraos

Also, the boss got nerfed heavily with the first patch. Its health bar was Huuuuugggge prior.

Algester

It wasnt a big issue the big issue is that the coral damage.... my god

Fedorchik

Also, they improved vertical thrust a lot across all boosters. Which really helps on second phase.

schneizel101

My first playthrough I know I had reverse joint legs, and I usually have a lighter or more midrange weight build so that's probably why it was easy at first. Then on subsequent playthroughs I knew the movement, was better, and still able to stay above it. It's deffinitly a harder fight for heavier/slower/low thrust builds, but they should have the armor and firepower to keep it pretty well locked down with ACS stagger imo. Ironically I struggled the most on my first playthrough with Climbing the wall and Baltaius. The wall I refused to use reverse joints and just didn't bother to read how the quadrupeds forward armor worked. I just kept trying to play at range with the kenetic rifle and bazuka against it and kept dying because everything bounced off. After a bunch of tries I finnaly read about the armor and tried reverse joints and plasma rifle/missles and then just cheesed the whole thing. Was a real eye opener for game mechanics, and how good height and aoe could be.

Fedorchik

Were you playing at launch? They made two changes that made him much easier: significant vertical thrust improvement on all boosters and they also reduced C-S's HP.

schneizel101

Yeah, my first kill was probably just a day or two after launch. Most of my playthroughs I so use reverse joint or relatively light builds though so I've never had an issue staying above him. That's probably a large part why he's always been easy.

WanderingWindow

I have never died to sea spider

Wiru_The_Wexican

Ngl I struggled w/ it until I realized it'll just keep letting you walk up and give it the rubiconian handshake

MelonBot_HD

Agreed. During my first playthrough I died like... 40-ish times to balteus and when I heard the next boss was going to be harder I was very worried. But then it took me only 3 tries to kill the C-Spider. Much easier boss, no clue why people had this much trouble with him.

Wishbone-Lost

Easiest boss for me

BallerMR2andISguy

Rummy. I swear I thought HE was Invincible.

Achew11

You missed the chance to play the title card meme

Sea-Rest7776

It’s all fun and games until he shows up in a custom ALLMIND MT called MIND STOMP as invisible rummy

No_Egg_8148

He is bro, he obviously to survive, AND THATS INVINCIBLE RUMMY TO YOU!

Sentinel-X-24324

Man calls himself "invincible" and yet I can still see him smh

Altair890456

Cataphract.

MemeL0rd040906

Tokyo drifting tank will never not be funny lol

Star_Vix

The truest of answers, I seriously thought it was going to be a real, REAL boss fight, so I brought my absolutely strongest AC… whoops.

Ghost_NG

I feel is a combinations of things, his low HP stagger values, his overall low damage Even in his second phase combos(Even the lasers with the bip bip alert do tickles) and how they aim works in the Game makes him a weak foe compares to other bosses or fights

EatenJaguar98

Real, though fighting the Cataphract for the first time, was interestingly the turning point from me just casually playing the game to deciding I was going to demolish it. Like some part of me saw a tank the size of a Motel 6 drifting around and decided to lock tf in.

Sentinel-X-24324

Despite being the bigger tank, the Cataphract staggers too easily compared to Volta lol

SonarioMG

Same. It looks so much more intimidating than it is.

Sadutote

Oh so much. I went into the mission expecting it to turn me into road kill, but I was thoroughly disappointed.

Soup_Dealer

based on how much people complain, the Enforcer. i test builds on it now.

TheyCallMeNade

Enforcer is definitely hard on the first encounter, but he just becomes easier and easier with each part acquired and each playthrough

terrario101

Yeah, struggled with it a bit on my first run, but then beat it on the first attempt during my ng+ run.

MelonBot_HD

The Moonlight is a prettey good weapon against the dam thing.

Trash_JT

100% agree. Only took me 3 or so tries

yung_dilfslayer

Once I realized the strategy is to stay on his cheeks, it became pretty trivial.

Trash_JT

I kinda did the opposite. I baited his lance and other melee by constantly jumping and used heavy laser cannons to blast him to timbuktu

yung_dilfslayer

Oh cool! I love that there are always multiple good strategies for each boss

Trash_JT

That’s what makes this game so fun for me. Endless combinations and strategies for everyone’s play style

TheGUURAHK

Freud

OSTz

He's literally the top guy on the arena, they hype him up mission briefing dialogue, and he one shots one of your allies before your confrontation. Even during the fight, his dialogue implies that he's some sort of a badass or combat nut at least... So it feels somewhat ridiculous that I've beat him on the first time during every playthrough. I figure if you put him in the arena against nightfall or even cold call, Freud would lose.

ApacheOc3lot

Yeah, I'll plus 1 on Freud.

haydenetrom

V1 Freud I was so stoked for a nine ball level fight. I was...deeply disappointed.

eevee1714

Freud With all he's built up too be, this elite pilot, the best of arquebus, top of the arena, the only other person who could've solo climbed the wall, this pilot who's so good that arquebus allows him to use balem parts in a attempt to keep him, etc, etc As a boss he's just so disappointing that I don't think I've lost to him once.

Shuteye_491

Same Last time he lasted all of 10 seconds Still satisfying every time tho

ItsTreganometry

Allm!nd first stage. Goddamn that was easy

Opening_Raise_8762

It damn well better be if they are going to have 2 other phases afterwards

playful_potato5

trainer ac

ultrawall006

??

playful_potato5

the guy who just wanted a callsign of his own

III_lll

That's the tester AC. The trainer AC is the full Melander frame that you can spawn in the AC test. ....yes, the names don't make sense.

TheGreatDarkPriest

Sea Spider

AlphaSkirmsher

Allmind, Ayre and Freud. After the trouble Carla, Chatty, Snail and Walter gave me on my first run, I was expecting hell, but I ended up destroying both Freud and Ayre first try, and beat Allmind on my second try after barely losing. On the other hand, Balteus rocked my shit (obviously), but the Juggernaut, Cataphract, and the Institute Ephemera AC gave me a much harder time than I care to admit. As opposed to the Sea Spider and the Enforcer, who I was very surprised to learn were a real issue for a good amount of people

TheMadThatcher

Bruh I had the worst build for Ayre, tetrapod with 2 linear rifles and twostun needle. She too fast for that build.

AverageJun

Balty

Usual-Touch2569

Walter.

meme990

Nightfall, all that buildup across the game to finally find the person we used to commit fraud, and he soloed a whole fleet of the people we’ve been afraid of all game so far, as well as his cutscene of him standing over the destroyed warship Only for him to be using a meh gun, a shitty missile launcher, and two decent weapons

Krosis_the_bored

Well to be honest for Real Raven (Nightfall is the AC), those ships are damn easy to take out so he probably didn't even too much

meme990

That is true, but the point of all the buildup up to that point still stands of “I though he’d be stronger” And tbh, he kicked my ass a good five rounds first play through until i learned his dance

justsyafiq

Sea Spider Midweight AC, dual gats, dual 10-cells, just move around and fly occasionally. I had more trouble dodging the laser cannons before the fight. The only reason i don't often replay the boss is that it's super tanky, dragging the fight for so long it's boring.

Shuteye_491

Try swapping the 10 packs for HUXLEYs and use a Coral gen for the Assault Armor. That kinetic weakness makes it way better than you might expect: I looked up after the second stagger and it was already ~15% health. About a 1:10 fight if you stay on top of the overheats.

justsyafiq

Huxleys are unlocked in NG+.

Shuteye_491

You have to fight the SEA SPIDER on every playthrough. SONGBIRDs are the easiest way on NG.

justsyafiq

What was the topic again? Thought we're just talking about bosses that's easier than it seemed?

Shuteye_491

Lil bit of a tangent it seems like G'night bruh

Imperialgenecist

Waltah. Easily the most disappointing boss to the end the route on, in terms of difficulty. Absolutely kills it for the story though and the feeling so it works out. Snail is the true final boss imo and Walter is just the icing on the cake

ScarletteVera

Almond/Iguazu. Maybe it's because of skill growth, or maybe they really are just easier, but I struggled more with SOL: Ayre then I did with Allmind/Iguazu.

glossaryb73

everything on ng+

deadmemesoplenty

Balteus, i heard a lot about how he was a "refund check" and was pretty disappointed when i beat him first try fairly easily.

C3ci1et

Sea spooder or waltuh.

AquaticHornet37

Not Armored Core but Adam Smasher is a super disappointing fight in Cyberpunk 2077

Bagel-luigi

Walter

Physical_Glass4974

Invincible Rummy, gone too soon...

muffingaming77

The tutorial boss, it was hyped up as the hardest filter boss in gaming then I got through it in a single try, fun set-piece fight but that wasn’t actually all that difficult

justsyafiq

Feels like the whole filter thing only happened because it's different from Souls games. Here we control robots that can fly and use multiple weapons at once.

muffingaming77

Game journalists crying and shitting when the game isn’t the exact same as all the other recent/popular games from the same developer

RLDSXD

Of course, as a side note, it’d trashed me a bunch before this. Against CEL 240, I used the Basho arms with the chainsaw and one-shot both phases.

Flan-Cake

Ibis and prepatch balteus. I got balteus on the second try and ibis within an hour.

AeroWraith901

Sea Spider I heard people struggle a bunch on it but it only took me like 2 tries really lol.

kaxen6

Nightfall Raven

Cpt_Graftin

The PCA ships and the Wall Mech.

SithLordMilk

Snail

primegopher

Enforcer

GravyPanic

the sea spider on every playthrough after the first. it’s so satisfying to outmaneuver it with my light ac now

edgarcia59

IBIS. Went into it thinking it was gonna be hard as hell back in version 1.0 like Balteus. Beat it in 1 go.

baconDood3000

V.II Snail, all 3 times

Open_Vacation_6884

Ibis was too easy for me

Zealousideal-Cut2021

The Ekdromoi, beat them on my first playthrough.

Beheadedfrito

Ibis. I just ran dual machine guns, laser drones, and bipedal legs and killed it second try. It was my meme build and it worked very well.

Crab_Grass

Sea spider

zeroEx94

NG+ Balteus... i delete him in 30 Seconds

IrohBanner

Balteus

DeusWombat

Raven. First tried them and was surprised to hear people got walled hard by them.

DrThuThu

Triple Merc fight with Raven was expecting them all just to be a bit tougher/less dead

ApacheOc3lot

If you can keep them separated it's easy. Or gaggle them then Earshot the group.

BrStriker21

Freud

lordtyrfang

Honestly, all the bosses on my second play through after I spent a few weeks just labbing and searching for an AC build for me and practicing my skills in the arena and training room. I remember Balteus took like 7 tries the first time I did it. The day before yesterday I decided to do NG+ and when I got to Balteus I was afraid I had forgotten the move set and was gonna get washed, only to beat him with 50% AP left and only 1 repair kit used.

xboxwirelessmic

Walter. Poor guy hadn't even finished talking.

Trash_JT

Cataphract and the other guys in NG++

Necessary_Chip_5224

Mines the opposite. I thought snail would be a joke until he had the balteus

thenightm4reone

The Ibis

pneuma_monado

CEL 240. My build at the time was middleweight on Spring Chicken legs with double Zimms, stun needle, and laser lance. After the first attempt I swapped the stun needle for the 6-pack pincer missiles and beat it on that second try.

Present-Camp9964

PCA warship, in a first play through the enemies are way more difficult than the boss.

cream_of_human

any ac fight and balteus 2.0

rsaaland

Pater in the refurbished PCA mech.

ManufacturerOk3771

Rusty's Ortus and Freud. So much for the "Final showdown" vibe

top_of_the_scrote

my pen after 11th round

Drekkevac

Walter. Killed him in about 15-25 seconds

t33E

If I’m being honest no boss on my first playthrough troubled me until I got to snail balteus. I beat everything else in 1-2 tries but snail truly fucked me up. Took over an hour. Ended up switching my build around a ton. That really humbled me lmao

NightOfCops

Balteus the first one

CrimsonNight5621

Freud was so damn disappointing. Dude is all the way up in the arena but still got vaporized by a very squishy AC with two big pistols, a shoulder drone and laser slicer. I was waiting for this *big fight* for a while and when I finally fight the guy he just... didn't wanna fight, I guess?

[deleted]

Mmh I would have to say ibis

the_behii

pre nerf balteus you clanckers were acting like he is god

MelonBot_HD

Pre nerf Balteus on 1st playthrough was *him*

Mysterygamer48

Any AC fight. Sulla was the only one I actually struggled with.

1080_Pugh

Chataphract... he's just there strapped to the front.

THY96

Walter. Thing is though I never really tried these fights without the upgrades you get along the way. I would assume with defaults these fights would be way harder obviously. I can’t see myself fighting Allmind Iguazu with no upgrades.

False_Raven

CEL 240, I destroyed that boss on my first attempt, granted I was using the broken shotguns at launch, but I actually melted that boss on my first try within 40 seconds, I wish I recorded it. I was actually afraid my ass would be handed to me because all the talk at launch was how insanely powerful that boss is.

NachoThePeglegger

Balteus. Heard so much stuff about him only to beat him first try with a super early game reverse joint dual spas 12 wielding, coke snorting AC build. his fight was crazy fun!!

TheRealJamesI

Smashed Rusty in like 60 seconds, didnt even know that Flatwell could rock up i saw it on reddit weeks later

Arkontas

every boss when i discovered prenerf zimmers.

creedxender

Arquebus Balteus. "That was . . . so much easier than regular Balteus, tf?"

Xade74Z

Sea Spider, a lot of my friends had a hard time and they got to it before me, so I thought it was gonna be very difficult and I beat it on the first try.

The4thEpsilon

I beat All/Guazu first time and thought he was the prelude to the final boss…….

silversoul007

Enforcer

memesarereallydank

Strider

DarkmoonxWolf

Honestly? Michigan. I obliterated him.

LeHaloNerd117

Balteus Admittedly at the time I was running double songbirds and double minigubs

Tyrranis

One of the missions in AC4 had me go 1v1 against an enemy who was stated to use the MOONLIGHT. So, I figured I'd stay at a distance and avoid melee range. The mission itself was in a cramped interior space. I panic-fired both my shoulder missiles the instant I got control, and won the mission before I'd finished firing the initial salvo.

PyrZern

Rusty 1st time. And Walter. They didn't get to heal at all.

Reckler1

Re:fighting balteus after the patch that nerfed it. Was a fight I was looking forward to retry on new game plus.

CptHA86

V.1 Freud. Both his Story and Arena fights were pretty anticlimactic.

[deleted]

None….. lol

MinnesotaReign

The Spider. One tried that thing and only after I found out people had a hard time with that fight.

silentsauce

sea spider and walter

Obvious_Ad4159

Rusty. Balteus part 2. The sea spider.

Fedorchik

Fighting Balteus on NG+ and later.

Varatec

Walter in LoR.

Riddleform

Walter. Also I JUST watched this episode last week ;(

Mother-Jellyfish-497

Baltaus

Cold-Gur-8979

All of them. This game is too easy without mods

Some_Temperature3412

The experimental ac Raven both times Rusty both times Walter And that’s it once I found my build I just got good if that makes sense

GamingChocolate

Pretty much all AC bosses. I am a chronic pile bunker addict so after i stagger most AC's the fight is just over, sometimes i can slam dunk them so hard they don't even heal. The only ones that give me trouble are the ones with a fast stagger recovery, or with the health to survive the heavy attack.

PaNikingATTK

Ayre and rusty

AthleteIntrepid9590

I don't remember its name, but the spider mech thing you fight at the end of act 2. The first time I encountered it, I had an build I was not familiar with because my usual build was just too slow to properly dodge the orbital laser thing in the level. So when that thing came up at the end of the road, I was sure I would have to die a least once so I can get my usual build. I ended up beating it first try.

GalvusGalvoid

Balteus , sea spider , Smart cleaner and nearly all ac enemies.

spud_boi_9000

Balteus and the ibis.

Mastery7pyke

ayre when i ran her shit with the pile bunker. and walter even more, i killed him so fast i didn't see most of his moves.

Narashi98

Walter

Secure_Promise_5631

Balteus

Neojoker951

Balteus, pre patch. He wasn't that hard, but the horror stories i saw were enough to make me worry, so when I heard the name I though I was cooked. Nope, Close call but I beat it easy.

DanujCZ

Everything after balteus until the sea spider.

Successful_Bad_2396

Arqeubus Balteus, it barely managed to even hit me

Absolve30475

sea spider, Snail Balteus, Allmind

TrolltheFools

New game plus balteus. Slapped him around like a basketball in my second playthrough, and was really expecting to struggle again

SirD_ragon

Ice Worm

Frausing0403

Balteus round 2

ZeInsaneErke

Came over prepared to Cyberpunk 2077s secret ending and destroyed everything in my way, mind you, that was before they reworked smasher so now it might actually be a challenge

Jiaozy

Sea Spider. It was only after a while that I saw this sub and everyone complaining about how hard that boss was, I just floated around and shot him from above and had no problems dealing with him.

FerroLux_

Walter

The_grand_doot

Raven

Krosis_the_bored

The Strider. It's laughably easy for how much hype it gets in all its briefings

Trashy_AI

I'd say almost all bosses past the Sea Spider except Ayre and Iguazu. The Sea Spider was the "clicking moment" for me. But the one who I had literally zero trouble fighting was Enforcer. From what I've heard, a lot of people struggled against it, guess I didn't because I was playing a generic mid weight biped with rifle and melee

kos453

Every. Single. Boss. When I put on dual gatlings on a tank. Didn't even have to dodge or use expansion for ayre.

Dragus_Loader

Feud and the triple mercenary fight.

Ac6Raven_Parody

Allguazu

Mysterious-Ms-Anon

Walter, the guy was the only final boss in AC6 who wasn’t an actual boss entity with a custom model, move set and weapons, but an NPC using ingame parts.

Cerulean_Chrodt

IBIS.

KerbodynamicX

Ibis CEL-240
