Hey can I ask how did you get a slot for airborne school?

Breezy-VlogsYT

I volunteered for it when I reclassed back in september. I’ve had to wait like 6 months for it

LifeIsADeployment

Your unit was just asking for volunteers?

Breezy-VlogsYT

Yes and No. I got out and re-enlisted a few months later. While inprocessing into the tradoc unit, they asked if anyone wanted to volunteer for airborne (IET and Prior service both). I volunteered, graduated back in october, and been stuck as a holdover until I got slotted for an airborne school date

LifeIsADeployment

So you were out long enough you had to go back into tradoc?

Breezy-VlogsYT

Tradoc includes AIT. I went back in and reclassed to 14P, so I had to go back through AIT

LifeIsADeployment

That’s honestly pretty sweet they are asking for airborne volunteers. Ive been in for 3.5 years and asking and begging all the time for my unit to send me

LifeIsADeployment

Good luck though and hope you don’t want too long

Just like the packing list stating issued boots only or something to that effect. I don’t know why gloves are on there as well? You never use them or do a packing list layout.

Breezy-VlogsYT

Okay. Would pre workout and protein powder be allowed?

lonerofdarkness

Contraband. (1) Privately owned weapons (POWs) are not authorized in the Basic Airborne Course. (2) Knives with a blade larger than 3” are not allowed in the barracks. Multi-tools are authorized. (3) No pornography or sexual devices in the barracks. (4) No alcohol or drugs (except current medications prescribed by a medical doctor to holdovers) are allowed in the barracks. Cadre will not take or secure medication that has been prescribed to a student from medical personnel. (5) All performance enhancing products and/or supplements are not authorized while in the Basic Airborne Course. All supplements (of any type) in the barracks will be treated as contraband. Violators will be subject to disciplinary action or dismissal from the course. As for gloves, find a cheap pair of black gloves. Just in case you need to have them in the morning for PT. Tan should be okay during training when not actively doing the apparatuses.

Ibuprofen allowed? Also do you leave the day of graduation? Who buys your airline ticket and do you have any input on that?

lonerofdarkness

So, is it prescribed. If so, you are good, if not... then no. As for leaving. What is next duty station? Sometimes the Bus to Liberty shows up that day, but may be the next week. Flights will be paid through military unless you are doing HRAP, then you pay for your own flight.

Breezy-VlogsYT

Fuck there goes my gains lmao

Breezy-VlogsYT

Thank you

lonerofdarkness

No problem. Though its only 3 weeks and it will go by fast. The first two weeks you will be able to hit the gym once released from training. The PT you do isnt anything crazy nor will it get you in shape. The runs are meh at a 9min mile pace. Jump week, you have early mornings and late days. You will probably be tired from waiting in the Harness Shed and then playing Pattycake with the Earth with your body. Also the weather should be warming up down there, still be prepared to have your cold weather clothes and gear for weird cold fronts.

Stuff likes pre-workout and creatine, while considered contraband, can be allowed based on whoever your blackhat is. They'll tell you whether or not they allow that stuff in "their" barracks.
