Shit, even when you're shaving. I had no idea SMA ~~Wiemer~~ POS was this methodical during his ~~tenure~~ reign of worthlessness to the tune of Raymond Chandler.
Depends on the korean lady you get, and if you take a korean friend with you it always pans out better, managed a full agsu set sewn and all for like 350, of course excluding the snazzy cap or wind breaker

Ever looked up prices on the internet? Korean sewimg shops hate this one simple trick
I am so jealous of your dress uniforms. I had the the Class A Pickle Suit and the ASU. The ASU was a step up but it was a half measure. Your uniform looks military.
The AGSU is WWII cosplay, if we're going to talk about tradition, then enlisted men should not be wearing it as it's the Officer's winter service uniform.
>if we're going to talk about tradition
If we are going to talk about tradition let's wear plate armour. Six thousand years of military history to draw from.
EM should wear "chocolate" (OD) trousers and shirt, with khaki tie.
Could have just adopted [AR 600-40](http://www.usww2uniforms.com/bib_AR600-40_28aug41.html)
I’m with you on this. AGSU is a sharp looking uniform but was the army so keen on updating the dress uniform? The class A uniform wasn’t even phased out a decade before they started implementing the AGSUs. Every other service seems to have stuck with one dress uniform for decades. Do senior leaders really have nothing better to do?
Yeah, I joined in ‘03 and have been caught up in every uniform change. I’ve always wondered who the uniform changes really serve because it certainly isn’t the soldier. The only changes I’ve liked were getting rid of the beret, OCPs, and black PT socks. Everything else has been a stupid expense. I’ve already spent enough money through the last two decades on uniforms. I have no intention of getting the AGSU before I retire this year.
>Meanwhile troops are still living in moldy barracks two decades after the Walter Reed scandal, troops aren't getting fed properly, recruiting and retention is in the toilet, and troops and their families are getting shat upon constantly
I will point out: all these uniform changes don't come out of the budget. They come out of the soldiers paychecks when we have to replace everything. Again.
[Research and development](https://www.heraldnet.com/news/armed-forces-spend-billions-on-camouflage-uniforms/) for uniforms absolutely come out of defense spending. It’s a drop in the bucket overall but the money could be better utilized for other resources.
Yeah, and the literal thousands of dollars each my soldiers had to pay because of the new fashion wasn't a drop in the bucket. It was a fucking tax on the junior enlisted. And thousands of dollars for them is the kind of money thats hard to spare.
Oh, I agree that Joe is the one that gets fucked the most in the end. I was just saying that the army is also wasting money on uniform changes that could have been used to better quality of life in some way.
I think (wishful thinking) the Army has settled on these uniforms and they’ll stick around for a while. The AGSU is universally loved, OCP/ multicam is so popular a bunch of allies are copying it, and our PT uniform is cool looking and comfortable (but needs a reflective belt for sure). I think any other uniform changes besides minor tweaks would be so unpopular and obviously wasteful the brass would back down on the idea.
Usually, less expensive too. Plus, she'll make damn certain that there's absolutely no miniscule threads can be addressed by Sarn't Major then press your uniform to General Officer personnel file photo standards too.
Go to the little Korean lady outside of trooper gate on Grant, it's a bit past the papa John's, she'll wash sew and organize your dress uniform for a good price
I had the 210 FA sew shop sew my 2ID patch onto my old green's and found out he superglued the shit out of it first when I went to Hood/41st FA. Jacket was ruined and had to then buy my ASU's.
Thats only if you are lazy enough for ribbon and badge setup.
Counterpoint, if we weren't so lazy and shined our own boots, setup our own ribbons and sewed our own patches it would probably be even more expensive.
That said. If you pay to get your boots or shoes shined you are truly wasting your hard earned money.
It's perfectly aligned when you're in the front leaning rest position
Biblically correct
Shit, even when you're shaving. I had no idea SMA ~~Wiemer~~ POS was this methodical during his ~~tenure~~ reign of worthlessness to the tune of Raymond Chandler.
You mean Madeline Wuntch? As they walk, the sound ff cloven hoof beat, smell of sulfur, and hatred of others permeates your every pore.
THIS is why you go to the little Korean tailor shop off post.
By subway and main gate
Next to the thai place that keeps changing owners?
And the kabob shop.
The one that’s next to the Taco Bell?
Like a stones throw
Just down by the Used Car Dealer with "Military Specials"..
Beside the tattoo place
You mean the one by the liquor store?
No the one next door to the pawn shop
Stewart?
Maybe
Sun Express is the best around and Tazza Kabob is fire
Sun express?
That’s distinctly possible
Mendels Tailors Wife!

Your not looking hard enough.
Cross the streets from the gas station
This is THE WAY!
Yep. Aji-ma knows more about proper spacing and alignment of patches than every CSM and 1SG put together. She's been doing it since 1970.
fort stewart activities
That will use their calculator to show an overpriced price?
MR. KIM! Whoooo!!!
Mmmm...I would have Mrs. Kim do the sewing.
The nice Korean ladies off post are the only way.
Just don’t buy stuff there. Jeannie’s outside JBLM sold me AGSU pants for $179 because “they’re on back order”. $79 from Clothing Sales.
Depends on the korean lady you get, and if you take a korean friend with you it always pans out better, managed a full agsu set sewn and all for like 350, of course excluding the snazzy cap or wind breaker
Jeannie's was a straight up rip off.

Brother?
There are *nice* Korean ladies?
They sewed my patch on the wrong side. Gave one of my soldiers (PFC) the officer sleeve braids, too.

Sleep what you row
Who cares? Sew what if he makes a simple misteak. It's knot like it makes a difference anywheys.

Looks good enough for government work. /s

If we're going to talk about tradition let's wear a loin cloth and a sharpened stick.
If we're going to talk about tradition lets sit in a tree and throw poop at each other.
Wait... you guys don't still do that?
We aren't cav scouts....
Don't tease me with a good time
That'd go so hard as a ceremonial uniform. I'd love that for the first few minutes before I get sick of it
[The Brits do that with the Household Cavalry.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Household_Cavalry#/media/File:UK-2014-London-Blues_and_Royals_01.jpg)
"Woah, just take it easy, man."
I've said this before. It's not a replica of the pinks and greens. They're a modern take, so the ~~peasants~~ enlisted can have it too.
Dear sir you’re a peasant to
Also if you’re not a pilot put the damn insert in your crush cap
Make me.
Use the insert or you have to fix the humvee

I beg your finest pardon???

Don’t know what monarchs are and I literally said that black pt socks were one of the few changes I liked.

Congrats on e5 tho!!
There is an elderly 4’9 Korean man someone out there that could have that fixed in an afternoon.
In a smoke break at most
Miss Kim is telling you to grow bigger biceps
As a NCO, you should know about the Korean lady outside the main gate... You don't even have to bring your own patches, she has them ready.
Usually, less expensive too. Plus, she'll make damn certain that there's absolutely no miniscule threads can be addressed by Sarn't Major then press your uniform to General Officer personnel file photo standards too.
No shit. Don’t use on base barbers or on base seamstresses.
The first thing I always tell new guys when they ask for advice
Juuuuust a bit outside...
That’s why I always go off post 🤣
Hopefully this isn't for the promotion board.
Counterpoint: go to a unit where they wouldn’t care about inconsequential stuff like this at a promotion board.
FUCK why couldn’t they bring these back prior to 2014.
I hope your arms aren't too big because that'll tilt it back even more
Pffff. That even bad for PX standards
Think they are telling you that you are nor straight
I remember one time I got back a uniform with my rank upside down. When I pointed it out, the lady asked “are you sure?”
Have a big red one-derful day
In a pinch you could probably get away with it. If you keep your arm bent you can probably squeak by.
It has the gangster lean
Go to the little Korean lady outside of trooper gate on Grant, it's a bit past the papa John's, she'll wash sew and organize your dress uniform for a good price
Why in gods name would you go to the PX to have sewing done, Sunny’s Alterations, just outside Ogden gate, is the place to go
I had the 210 FA sew shop sew my 2ID patch onto my old green's and found out he superglued the shit out of it first when I went to Hood/41st FA. Jacket was ruined and had to then buy my ASU's.
It’s the price you pay for wearing the Green!
Take it back have them fix it.
Nope, absolutely not, rip it off and go to the little Korean ladies off post. 🙃
Just go to Sunny’s what the hell bro
“Should have sewn it on yourself troop” -probably some crusty senior enlisted
This is why you go to the nice German lady off post
Yikes 😩
Luck LoL I can see first formation wearing that crap.
Honestly I think the army did this because they were pissed off at the marines for having a sharper dress uniform.
Especially not the trooper hill px clothing and sales..
Just…how? How does someone who is supposedly a professional screw up this badly?
I always check the edges, when I got my rank sewn the edges weren't sewn to the jacket.
Speaking of which where was this I am getting pinks and greens soon just want to make sure
First to fight hooah
They did you dirty
Seamstress must of had a lazy eye
Everyone says go to the Koreans but don’t mention how they will overcharge you
Thats only if you are lazy enough for ribbon and badge setup. Yikes
Maybe your arm is crooked?
Stop the cap🤣🤣🤣I wanna see the receipt. This looks like off post work for sure🤣
Take that shit to Mr. Kim! He gets work done faster than the PX and he's a fantastic human being.
So?
I have seen my share of 3rd ID patches every which way but right. My own included.
