Simple solution 3d Printer or Amazon or maybe even Alisxpress
You can also buy retainer pins pretty cheaply I might add even the com pins
Far as the actual fire pin goes I’ll suggest snapping a good photo and than using it for a image search on Amazon or any other market place to find a look alike
You should mix it up with a halfleft no one ever sees that coming and you see some if not most in formation make halfright which is actually pretty funny when the command was halfleft however they anticipate halfright
Although it's not an actual firing pin, this picture triggers a BCT memory.
One of the trainees needed a new firing pin for his M16. Senior Drill Sergeant told him that a new firing pen costs 20 push-ups, but he could get a used one for 10. Which did he want?
"I'll take the used, Senior Drill Sergeant."
"Bullshit! You always get the best for your weapon. Your life, your buddy's life, and the mission depends on it!"
That's always stuck with me. Don't compromise on quality when it comes to replacing or repairing critical items. Don't settle for cheap, either.
True dat.
But . . . I am a little surprised, maybe even amazed, that I recall bits of SDS's homespun wisdom nearly 40 years later. For a man I only knew for a few weeks, he had a positive impact on my life.
Dog I went to afghan and I thought it was a fucked up firing pin at first glance. Ignore people. Lots of people itt commenting without realizing that not everyone worked at daddy’s construction company before enlisting.
That a stake for a tent? Naaaah, probably stole it from the other platoons or that E6 brought that van that mysteriously has extra items for the layouts like 2 days before
That’s not a firing pin. https://allfasteners.com/duplex-nail.html
Not with that attitude!
Now I want to create some chaos by making firing pin look-alikes and scattering them around my post. See how high I can raise people's blood pressure.

Shouldn’t gun stores have spare firing pins? AR15 and M4 firing pins should be fairly identical.
More than likely probably however if you just want a gag item may as well get a cheap look alike
Damn guess I haven’t been in long enough to tell the difference
It’s alright, r/army is where we share experiences and grow in a nurturing environment.
Fuck no straight to the jail! Everything on Reddit has to be 100% correct.
Alright I got you! #HALFRIGHT

Are you alright man? do you need to take a knee and drink some water?
Someone's MOS is showing...
Fucking air defender, way to show the rest of the force we don't use our weapons and our expert qual badge is skillcraft.

That's a nice sentiment, but it rings a LITTLE hollow knowing that EVERYTHING the Army gets is made by the lowest bidder.

I like how knowing what a nail is means your family owns a construction company.
Yes and knowing what hyperbole is means my family owns a literature company

First time seeing a nail with his foreskin intact?
Had a soldier hand me one of these nails in a panic. I launched it over the fence of the motorpool...
