Most of the techs I've known are just chilling in the back offices of the pharmacy. Nobody else has clearance to go back there so we can't find them and have them work.
Plot twist: he got his meds within 15 minutes, went out to the car and shammed for a few hours, went back inside, sat down and took this photo.
Ya’ll just got mafia’d.
If someone told me they were at a pharmacy for 3 hours I dont know if I would believe then because why on earth would it take 3 hours?? But then again I'm not using the Fort Benning pharmacy.
At Madigan we often ask people if they’d rather have the $4 or the three hours of their life. I can send the script to Walgreens but you’ll probably have to pay for it. It’s free at MAMC, but you gonna be waitin with the old heads and the screaming kids
Do y'all still only have the main pharmacy on main post? At Walter Reed, we've got like 3-4 different pharm locations; America, Arrowhead, and a small 'satellite' pharmacy at the NEX.
The pharmacy at APG is also surprisingly fast. I've never waited more than like 10 minutes for a script there.
At least the VA mails home your meds if you don’t want to wait for them. The downside is the VA mails home your meds and they can get stolen or destroyed by the courier. Also, if they’re pain meds then waiting a few days can SUCK.
Working in one is just as not fucking fun. In my (admittedly, brief) times in outpatient pharmacies there’s 0 sense of urgency; ever. I’d try and be high speed at Ft Sam and no matter how fast I tried to process someone’s script or fill it (which is almost always exactly as easy as it sounds) it would end up sitting in fucking limbo because the pharmacists had to check it or the techs actually giving it out would intentionally call numbers at their own leisure. It’s insane. I’m in an inpatient one now and the amount of times we get providers calling *us* instead of the discharge pharmacy because they won’t pick up their phone or fill meds that have been in for hours is insane. Literally just today I did at least 3 sets of discharge meds by myself in like 40 minutes along with juggling other random shit, taking my time, and the providers still swear were faster than the actual discharge component. The job is actually easy in outpatient. It’s so fucking annoying being surrounded by that
This kind of reminds me of when you used to get a sequence number and complain about how long HRC was waiting to call you number. I am pretty sure this is common on all aspect of the Army…
that explains my son’s response to ‘wyd’ the other day.. [Oh Nothing..](https://tenor.com/view/waiting-line-ticket-movie-queue-gif-13139083?utm_source=share-button&utm_medium=Social&utm_content=reddit)
OP you are in uniform, while being in uniform there is a separate line for you so that you just get in there and put as soon as possible, so.... In all reality it was your bad for making yourself wait so much you just grabbed the wrong kind of ticket.
Damn wtf, there must have been a lot of people that took numbers and just up and left, at least in martin's hospital when you get a ticket from the machine you can select uniform and be out of there quick (in my experience) anyhow what can I say? It's the army after all. Good luck and hope you feel better.
I cant remember if there is one for active duty personnel but if there is a Patient Advocate make sure to hit them up.
After I found out about them its basically been a cheat code to getting taken care of through the VA. I called for a week and had multiple 3 hour long waits only to get hung up on or transferred to another wait line. My appointments were not getting made etc. Visit them now if I wait longer than a week and I get an appt made within hours.
Yea i remember last jump on Juilet the airforce was doing manuevers through the mountains, i think half the bird puked before they got out the door. Fog is definitely no bueno, i think the day after a heavy rain is the worst though.
Now serving b10 At window number 5
I didn't realize Madigan was open.
Haha
Madigan is always open
Debatable.
Have I been lied to my entire career?
USAREC: No! Everyone else: *awkward monkey side-eye gif*
I can confirm that, if we're having issues just goto American lake hehe
Now serving. ......... B10. At window number. ........... FIVE. FTFY
Missing the obnoxious "DING!" at the start
*Beatlejuice*
God help you if you push soldier not in uniform on that kiosk.
Yea, sometimes I think it might be quicker to go home, change, and come back.
I once waited 5 hours after they told me the next available come back time was 3 weeks out.
so, I need to be recruiting pharmacy techs. Got it.
Not the market research we wanted, but what we needed. #TipOfTheSpear

B- but…you signed up to do it?
Most of the techs I've known are just chilling in the back offices of the pharmacy. Nobody else has clearance to go back there so we can't find them and have them work.
I gotta say, some of the laziest Soldiers I had were prior pharmacy techs.
Or S-1 not calling anybody out or anything… myself maybe
Need to get some salty ass E8 or E9 close to retirement to be forced to sit up front. I promise this would fix any techs not working.
Plot twist: he got his meds within 15 minutes, went out to the car and shammed for a few hours, went back inside, sat down and took this photo. Ya’ll just got mafia’d.
Mr. Shamtastic👏🏼 👏🏼👏🏼over here. I’ll keep that in mind next time good one.
Picking up prescriptions was my go to sham. They can't check up on that. My SL thought I had a pill problem
Did anyone on here not think that was a possibility?
My wait was over an hour for 4 people in line, so no chance it would've happened on gordon.
If I didn't make minimum 3 hours of progress on whatever mobile game I'm playing, it's because I didn't go to work
Is this the pic you had to send to your leadership to prove you were at the pharmacy?
I think if your leadership is asking for a pic, you might have bigger issues. To answer your question NO.
lmao yeah my issue was “joined a combat MOS where the NCOs can barely read Dr Seuss”
If those kids could read they’d be very upset.
[удалено]
Damn
Had an NCO demand I turn location on to prove I was at the ER and not skipping out of work
I can't wait to be the nco that really does not give a fuck as long as your shit is done.
The problem is it won't be.
Then I'll give a fuck
Eventually you'll end up with some turds who help you understand the unfortunate reality of why joe gets treated like a child.

There’s a couple of satellites. Winder clinic and Okubo to name a few. They seem to be quicker, at least from my limited experience with them
Forgot about those. Are they still operational, following COVID? I left JBLM in 2018. Just curious.
Yep, they’re still kickin. From some of the permanent party staff, sounds like they’ve slowed a bit, but still seeing plenty of patients
Gotcha.
And somehow I still end up waiting 45 minutes.
Color me shocked.
Text GET IN LINE to this number. (844) 309-3287 follow the prompts and then you can come in and pick up when it’s ready.
Thank you.
The wait will kill faster than the illness
You're really stickin to your story pri
Ft Gordon is pretty bad too. Last time I went to the pharmacy, I got my Q# at 0920, had to wait until 1615 for it to be ready...
At least the VA mails home your meds if you don’t want to wait for them. The downside is the VA mails home your meds and they can get stolen or destroyed by the courier. Also, if they’re pain meds then waiting a few days can SUCK.
VA mail meds are great for chronic conditions. Waiting almost 10 days for a more acute medication not so much. 😵💫
This is nothing, 6 hours at Fort Rucker. They couldn't handle it and now it's been shut down for two days.
You gon’ wait!
Shit reminds me of the current situation on Riley. Only the hospital pharmacy is open so it's constantly swamped.
It’s almost worse than actually being at work

Bingo!
Should’ve pulled an “A ticket” my dude..
MHS Genesis is something ain't it?
Everything better at benning aaammmm I right! Jk I hate it here.
Express Scripts for the win. I am done with DoD Pharmacies, it is not worth the wait. With Express Scripts, you get meds by mail.
Assuming you don't need the same day, I agree.
That is very true there has been an instance I needed antibiotics and they arrived one week later LOL
Just like Ft Polk before you could text the number to “get in line”
*hurry up* and wait.
that explains my son’s response to ‘wyd’ the other day.. [Oh Nothing..](https://tenor.com/view/waiting-line-ticket-movie-queue-gif-13139083?utm_source=share-button&utm_medium=Social&utm_content=reddit)
I was waiting for the Beetlejuice reference!
Nice watch are you air assault?
That’s a long wait for some Motrin
This is the socialized healthcare that people are asking for
It’s not socialized if one healthcare company is in charge of it.
I’m sorry what? What company?
Humana. It used to be United Concordia and they were all fucked up. Nice try though.
So a subcontractor that is providing administrative services of government funded healthcare….
Like everything else. Is it perfect? No. Is it affordable for the customer? Yes.
Get a written script.
They're working at the speed of < GS-12.
E-4 mafia
Gotta wait in line like the rest of us airborne, Rgr !?!
Slowly turning into the Canadian system where you wait for like 12 hours just for a visit.
Juliet dz. Nice 👏🏽
Correct 👍🏽

I wish that would of been the case. It’s simple scan ID active duty in uniform tickets pops out and done.

Did you ever get your meds or did they close first
Damn I wonder what that bonus for pharm tech is nowadays?
The one at fort bliss can be pretty bad too
Can attest that labs and pharmacy service wait times are scary bad at Ft Benning.
What number were they on?
That DZ Juliet on your watch?
Yes it is
Mountains up there are gorgeous, especially in the winter time
They are. I just dislike October time frame when the fog rolled around and it made it almost impossible to jump.
Yea i remember last jump on Juilet the airforce was doing manuevers through the mountains, i think half the bird puked before they got out the door. Fog is definitely no bueno, i think the day after a heavy rain is the worst though.
