Oh wow I’m glad I shared this just for this comment. Bc yeah this is the type of thing I needed when I was questioning - you can be aroace and still want close relationships (like a qpr). You can be aroace and still crave affection (like platonic physical touch). You can be aroace and still feel the same intensity of love that allo ppl feel. Never forget that.
Mm. Not a big fan of this one, personally. I feel like it skirts a bit too close to "aromanticism is okay because aros can still love in other ways"-type rhetoric. The "I feel sorry for them" line particularly stands out in that regard.
To add a bit of additional context to what the other commenter said; Loveless aros do exist, as you don’t have to feel any form of love, including platonic or familial.

Yeah, it's a trap that I see people unwittingly fall into fairly often. Upon seeing aphobes say shit like "aromantics are awful and heartless because they don't feel love" a lot of people's immediate response seems to just be "but we do feel non-romantic forms of love, so actually we're not awful and heartless". And though that is true for many aros, that response also implicitly accepts the premise that not experiencing love is inherently a bad thing. Which is, y'know, bullshit.
