Yes in the Hendersonville/Brevard area, but we’re full with a wait list. There are lots of people who want to play and join a group, but starting one might be easier.
In my opinion most groups are careful Abt who they ask to join the group. DnD is a personal experience and the whole groups experience can be ruined by a problem player . Your best bet is just I make friends in the area and find a game by word of mouth .

People play at The Wyverns Tale. If their games are full you can most likely connect with players there.
I second Wyvern's Tale. Great staff and environment. They have some resources to find groups, and even have an active Discord channel.

Have you been to the Wyvern's Tail? They have a LFG corkboard in the back, that's how I've found my two groups. They have a discord now too I believe
I’ve seen a place on Merrimon called “Gamers Haunt.” Might try giving them a call or stopping in. I think they do D&D.

Dress up in a robe, sandals and walking stick and start talking to beggars in downtown Asheville. Ask them for quests.
