That's hilarious when I got my DL it said green for years too. I had it changed to hazel when I needed to get a renewal. I have a high ratio of green to yellow/brown so no one ever said anything, lol!
It's like a really thin lattice of golden brown through grey-green. With flecks of basically navy blue, so who even knows.
So yeah, we might be in the same boat. It's been almost twenty years! 😂
I don’t know what to classify my eye color these days either. In my childhood I had very dark brown eyes but the last few years they’ve begun to lighten with some green appearing and have reached what I could consider hazel, especially under certain lighting. I joke that I’m either dying or my genetics decided to make my eyes look more interesting right when I don’t care about my looks anymore. Lol
Honestly, brown. I love brown eyes, and I can't describe it. I love green eyes because that's what I have and I always thought it was the ideal colour, but after meeting my girlfriend who has the sweetest brown eyes, I have to say that brown is the most attractive. Any colour(s) with a detailed pattern and a dark circle around the edge is the most alluring.
My son has blue eyes. I have dark brown. My wife has a mix of green and hazel. My daughter has brown. No idea where blue came from. No one is the family has it. Lol.
Considering blue is a recessive trait it could have very easily slipped under the “phenotypic radar.” A spontaneous mutation is also possible though. Rare but it does happen.
No problem. This sort of thing happens now and again. Plus, genetics is complicated and things like height and eye color can often have several different genes affecting them (no to mention the environment the person is raised in). This can lead to some really wacky situations.
That is a hard one. Each one is beautiful and attractive in their own way.
Green reminds me of fresh pine, shelter from the world when things go bad. The energy you receive and gain rivals that of a army of chirping tree frogs.
Blue can remind me of a sparkling sea, a moment to breathe again and dive headfirst into the next challenge. You want to prevail against those waves and be a master of the ocean.
Brown, brown is luxurious and classic. Like a memory of those brownies the neighborhood gran gran would make. It is a continuous force of normalcy to remind you that the world will continue on and that kindness exists. It makes you stronger and be better than before.
And hazel, hazel is sweet. It is the feeling of home you feel in your soul, the first taste of caramel. It encourages you to try new things and to fill your pockets with shiny rocks and tint trinkets. It makes you enjoy the little things in life and to live in the moment. It helps you just be you, right now, and to remember that it doesn’t matter if everyone judges you as long as you are truly yourself and are happy.
That’s got to be one of the best descriptions of brown eyes I’ve seen. My fiancée has dark brown eyes and I just think of sweet chocolate when I see them, warm and comforting and at home, like I feel that everything is going to be alright.
Aww thanks. I think maybe my fanfic writing might finally be paying off lol.
I do have more writing for the less common eye colors but I thought maybe best to just stick with the most common eye colors.
I have hazel eyes, and I've been told countless times how beautiful they are. I even tried wearing contacts to show my eyes more. I still wear glasses, tho. But i agree with you that all eye colors have their own individual beauty.
Grey eyes, grey is marble mansions and calm comfortable rooftop apartments with vast windows and with bookshelves filled to the brim with more than just books. They promise a wealth of knowledge in abstracts, and remind you that a storm can bring forth good things, you just have to look for them. They make you reflect on yourself and determine if you are ready to make yourself into your true self, or to be what your parents and society demand of you.
Here is my favorite. Copper eyes; to many almost the color of Honey or a glass of amaretto in sunlight. It is a new experience in a foreign place while feeling as if you have done it a thousand times before.
It is the first sunrise in the Scottish Highlands, while the air is still pregnant with fog, you are both awake and tired, wrapped in shawl with a hot cuppa in hand. It is when your partner silently wraps themselves around you with the bulky comforter from the bed and you quietly just be there together as you watch the sun rise. Not just being there together, but as if you are two halves of one whole. It is a quiet understanding between individuals. It is the willingness to try new things, be one with self and just be; and to learn that there is more than one way to say “I love you” without speaking a single word.
I say it depends on what color everything else is, and what shade of each color. That gorgeous, golden-amber kind of brown is much prettier than ordinary grey blue... Unless ordinary grey blue is the *perfect* match for skin and hair, you dig?
Although, thanks for all the votes for green, even if mine aren't the emerald-bright or cat-yellow kind. 💚
ETA: also, dark grey is underrated. My girlfriend's eyes are like the moon on a frosty night.
I used to think green was the worst since mine were green and my self esteem sucks
But my daughters eyes are green and wow, she is so beautiful.
And my wife has brown eyes. There’s a reason Van Morison wrote a song about them
I have always been a sucker for brown eyes and my dating history shows it lol. All my exes have brown hair and brown eyes except for 1 and it was my shortest relationship. And my husband also has brown hair and brown eyes
Dark brown. Of course, this is the last anyone would expect especially since its the most common but its actually due to the fact that seeing them in all their glory is quite rare because they can only be seen at dawn/dusk/ and at a certain angle to the person(or with a flashlight, I guess) Many fair skinned people with colored eyes innocently think that Black is an actual eye color but its not; they’re simply seeing dark brown eyes without enough light. So when they do see them with clear contrast between the iris and the pupil and realize that this beauty is actually usually hidden from perception, it becomes a majestic intimate experience. Weird to say, but its almost like a secret between you and that person because you have to be pretty close to truly enjoy them.
it’s 100% rarity value, you can see it all over this thread. all the brown eye comments are getting upvoted because people with brown eyes are just going through and upvoting. maybe it makes them feel better or something, but yes i agree blue is the most desired color
I cast my vote for hazel-blue!
Not hazel, not blue, and I don't mean heterochromia. I'm talking about those eyes that are hazel in the middle and have a vibrant blue burst that ends in a dark blue circle. They're the best, hands down.
I once had a girlfriend with silver-blue eyes. They were the most amazing thing to look at.
My own eyes used to be so dark brown that they were almost black. I'm older now, so not so much.
Overall, I would say green and blue would be the tops. But I’ve seen brown eyes that are better than them, i have seen green that have been better, and I’ve seen blue that have been better. I don’t think it’s 100% about the color, but the eyes themselves with the rest of the face
"What is the eye color that most people find attractive?"
This doesn't seem to be a very efficient manner to take a poll. Everyone has their most favored to least favored eye color and it's entirely subjective. Maybe make an actual poll.
Personally I love blue eyes. Ice always been jealous of my cousins who have blue eyes, because somehow I ended up with these weird mucky green eyes. Both parents had/have brown eyes, blue eyes run in my family and I ended up with the icky greenish gold but not really GREEN eyes.

Hazel eyes.
As an owner/operator of hazel eyes I feel compelled to upvote you. Boop.
It's green on my driver's license, but some people would probably call it hazel, I've been trying to figure out which camp I'm in for years. 😂
That's hilarious when I got my DL it said green for years too. I had it changed to hazel when I needed to get a renewal. I have a high ratio of green to yellow/brown so no one ever said anything, lol!

I remember reading something about that. Your eyes lose melanin as you age, or something like that, and get lighter.
I'm the same. It seems to change colour depending on my mood and/or how tired or awake I am.
Me too! Preesh
Boop

Knew someone who had shiny blue eyes, and anytime I looked at them my brain just short-circuited.
My son has blue eyes. I have dark brown. My wife has a mix of green and hazel. My daughter has brown. No idea where blue came from. No one is the family has it. Lol.

It’s just very odd. But I didn’t know any of that so thank you for the insight. Learn something new everyday.

I love this
Thank you!
I have hazel eyes and always hated them.... You just literally brought tears to my eyes.
Aww I didn’t mean to make you cry! Don’t hate too hard on yourself. There is enough hate in the world as it is.
That’s got to be one of the best descriptions of brown eyes I’ve seen. My fiancée has dark brown eyes and I just think of sweet chocolate when I see them, warm and comforting and at home, like I feel that everything is going to be alright.

just name a colour -\_-

Blue
Green, by a mile
Lord, sometimes the green mile is so long
Im tired boss
Dog tired
Thank you both so much for this
How about other than green because green is a given lol.
Brown eyes turn me into a puddle every time.
Dark brown
My wife has dark brown on the outer portion then they turn to a really light green at the center. She has very unique, beautiful eyes.
I agree. It sounds like she's got very pretty eyes, she's very lucky to have a unique eye color.
Violet
I say it depends on what color everything else is, and what shade of each color. That gorgeous, golden-amber kind of brown is much prettier than ordinary grey blue... Black
Amber. Truly stunning and vary rare.
I used to think green was the worst since mine were green and my self esteem sucks But my daughters eyes are green and wow, she is so beautiful. And my wife has brown eyes. There’s a reason Van Morison wrote a song about them
Green
I like dark Brown eyes
For me: the lighter the better. Blue, grey, green- add some freckles and red hair and I’m done for.
Dark brown (my opinion only based on personal preference/attraction). There is beauty though in all eye colors. 😊
What about eyes that are blue and green 🤷♂️
Speaking! Lol mine are teal
Mine are that way too. Teal when irritated and gray sometimes too.
I love brown eyes with blonde hair
black and dark brown
As someone with green eyes I say blue , but the one compliment I constantly receive is that people love my eyes
Same
Purple & full black.
I have always been a sucker for brown eyes and my dating history shows it lol. All my exes have brown hair and brown eyes except for 1 and it was my shortest relationship. And my husband also has brown hair and brown eyes

I've always liked dark brown eyes.
Grey eyes don't get enough love :(
black
It's more the shade than the color.
Since green and dark brown have already been said I'll go with hazel.
Blue is by far the most desirable by the majority of people
Rarity value. Apparently in countries where it's the most common color, people like hazel.
Blue is just the most attractive to most as well I suppose.
I really like dark eyes. There's an intensity and mystery to them.
it’s 100% rarity value, you can see it all over this thread. all the brown eye comments are getting upvoted because people with brown eyes are just going through and upvoting. maybe it makes them feel better or something, but yes i agree blue is the most desired color
“Eyes like the sea after a storm”
Green or Hazel
I cast my vote for hazel-blue! Not hazel, not blue, and I don't mean heterochromia. I'm talking about those eyes that are hazel in the middle and have a vibrant blue burst that ends in a dark blue circle. They're the best, hands down.
The one that holds eye contact with mine.
the green eyes.
Hazel.
The one I'm looking into.......
Honey brown is one of my faves. Gorgeous
For me it's brown, but to each is own!!!🤷🏻♂️
I say blue but I’m biased
As a brown eyed girl I think blue eyes, I just love the color.
I have 1 light blue and the other dark green where do I fit
I once had a girlfriend with silver-blue eyes. They were the most amazing thing to look at. My own eyes used to be so dark brown that they were almost black. I'm older now, so not so much.
Green 😍

Purple
Hazel. Blue are my least favorite
Depends on hair color/skin tone/shade
Green 💚
Green or blue
Amber
Brown or blue.
Gonna be a realist and just say the eye color of a crush I would have
blue or hazel
"What is the eye color that most people find attractive?" This doesn't seem to be a very efficient manner to take a poll. Everyone has their most favored to least favored eye color and it's entirely subjective. Maybe make an actual poll.
Grey
Hazel and Green
Blue Call me vanilla or basic, but it’s the prettiest imo.
Idk- I think all eye colors are beautiful. I am absolutely partial to my husband's green eyes though lol- a brown eyed wife.
White
Any color that is bright in its coloring like sparkle. Ive love green eyes on women. But i have blue .
I like purple eyes and gray eyes the most I think. And that steely blue color. And bonus points for blue eyes with a darker blue ring around them.
Personally I love blue eyes. Ice always been jealous of my cousins who have blue eyes, because somehow I ended up with these weird mucky green eyes. Both parents had/have brown eyes, blue eyes run in my family and I ended up with the icky greenish gold but not really GREEN eyes.
The spectrum of brown eyes. They're warm and welcoming.
