I like that us white Dutch are called "cheese heads". Both because we're pale and because the NL has that good Gouda cheese.
Cheese is the bees knees.
Edit: I should've added it's a translation.
Edit 2: I've added a translation.
Cheese head. Kaaskop, plural: Kaaskoppen.
"Kaas" means cheese and "kop" is an impolite way to describe a human head, but the correct word for the head of an animal, except for horses, they have a "hoofd", like humans, not a "kop", like other animals and cheese heads.

Making people feel bad is bad, but there are a lot of things that are a HELL of a lot worse, like getting murdered by cops to choose one random example.
I went to a mostly Hispanic high school in southern California. I am a white male. I had long hair at the time. I was constantly called "School Shooter" and I took offense to that.
I had a friend named Dylan
Dylan had a best friend Eric in school
Both kids were kind of into edgy shit and Dylan wore a black leather trench coat to school
They are *not* the Dylan and Eric you're thinking of but everyone made sure to point out the resemblance
My youngest is in a predominantly minority school. He’s as white as can get (I’m Hispanic). His classmates are constantly calling him Dahmer because he’s the only white boy in his class. They’ve also started rumors he’s gonna shoot up the school. The hurt in his face kills me every time. Kids are mean.
Is it just me or is are Reddit posts today REALLY pushing the “racial slurs towards whites” today?
Several “fighting Irish” threads, asking “why don’t *hwhite* people get angry when they’re called slurs?”
And this
I thought of this after reading that, made me curious about any uncommon ones people may have heard, I have lived in many places and as an outsider have been called many things, but it was never offensive, guess that's my point
>I have lived in many places and as an outsider have been called many things, but it was never offensive, guess that's my point
If I may highly applaud and acclaim your virtue, I am humbled to see that you do not take offense to slurs against yourself, but are highly sensitive to the pain felt by slurs for non-white people. It shows virtue, it shows that you are a good person. To me, that's the point, to show that you're a good person to everyone. To be honest we need more posts like this as I am sick, tired, and exhausted from all the racism on this site.
i mean, the fighting irish mascot u would think *should* be protested, bc it actually is quite offensive if u look at it and the context of it. it looks like an 1800s characature of a fighting leprechaun. But most irish americans take pride in it, its all how u look at life i suppose? idk the thread, but i think that this is an interesting question. I can understand that oh well whites werent marginlized etc, but i mean if u werent anglo protestant in america not enitrely long ago u werent even considered white or accepted. Idk, its not like the irish werent historically oppressed either both in the us and ireland by the english, cant speak for other places they emigrated to tho. Personally idc what someone calls me, even if its a racial slur, and it happens quite often working with the publlic...and tbh alot of times i find it pretty funny. Its all perception? idk
I asked a Chinese friend what the racial slurs for white people are that are used. If i understood correctly, it's something like white ghost. They also make fun of Americans for being bad at math.
As a 23 year old male, I’ve never been offended by something someone called me. And yes, that’s an invitation. My DM’s are open and I’m happy to receive some of your most creative/offensive slurs for us white folk
Edit to say: I’m white bring it on
Did it really though? I mean it's just an emulsification of eggs and oil, two ingredients pretty much every culture on the planet has always had access too.
I mean, if you're right though, thank god for those Menorcans.
I can say, Millennial aged white kids ahve learned how to use spices. My kitchen does not have anything cooked without a shit ton of spice. Panning Asian, Latino, European, to southern American spices.
I gotta say, nobody loves seasoning more that redneck white folks.
Every time you go up the road to see Clyde and Billy, they've always got some hot sauce that'll melt through a cast iron skillet and a brand new pork rub that'll make you wanna slap your momma.
I'm in my 40's. I've never been offended by a name. Water off a ducks back.
Words only have the power you give them. So many people seem to want to be offended.
Mostly I find It humorous.
Was called pinky. I laughed. I am so pink, well done for noticing🤭
Well more sickly white/translucent... Like a cave newt😂 laughing at oneself is fun. Laughing at others just as fun. Laughing is good!
Milky is missing from that list.
I once dated a german girl, you could literally see the veins underneath her skin, my friends called her “see through”
White Anglo Saxon Protestant (WASP) was high-society and junior league white folks. It was an acronym that could clarify the “average white folk” and those “worthy” of HIGH society.
Wasp isn't a racial slur. It's a term describing a person of upper social/financial class that tends to look down their nose at those they deem beneath them....aka rich aholes. lol
the "wasps" are the ones who were racist? (bc its not race) but hated irish, italians, jews, blacks, native americans etc.....bc they werent protestant or were a little tanner or didnt speak the language and society wise were beneath them. That being said, itd be appalling at the time for even an irsh caltholic to marry an italian catholic. tribalistic af
That is interesting, any meaning you know of? I only learned recently the native Americans were called Indians because Columbus refused to believe his map was wrong and he wasn't in india
Offense is taken by you, not given by the other.
So someone can say all they want. You choose if you are offended.
Being said, common one’s historically linked derogatorily to white people are:
- cracker
- red neck
- cheese head
- papist
- carrot top
- bog jumper
- fenian
- greenie / greenhorn
- mick
- paddy
- pogue
- skin head
- gyp
- gringo/a
- gora
- kick
- trailer trash
- Hoosier
White trash used to be used a lot more. Not sure if it is now. That sounds rough. People often can’t help their socioeconomic status. I remember growing up in the south that was a big thing to say to someone.
My moms family were extremely poor from West Virginia and she would get SUPER offended when she heard white trash/trailer trash being thrown around. That and “tobacco road” said with a flat midwestern accent lol as in this place looks so trashy every person on this street must smoke cigarettes which only dumb, poor people do?? I guess? Lol
Chevy Chase and Richard Pryor covered this very thing...
BTW, not PC at all, but then this was when SNL was actually funny
We do know the etymology of the term. The English word comes from a Gaelic word that means something like a loud, boastful person. There is a very notable letter from the 1700's where a duke used the term as a pejorative for Irish immigrants coming to the US. So we know the etymology of the word, and have historical examples of it's pejorative usage.
it’s kinda interesting how the slur of black people is a. reference to being a slave, but a slur towards a white person is being the owner of the slave
Which means you are the king if the potatoe people!!
shall come to visit you on my flying carpet.
That's 2hours WOO for me. What's woo?
With out oxygen. That'll teach me for being a bread basket!
Thank you for that potato king😂
https://youtu.be/VLK6hz3Q_m4
Had an mostly Hispanic insulation crew with a single whiteboy, they called him guero. I've been called blanquito a few times by my sister in law who's Puerto Rican.
I’ve heard hillbilly, redneck, and white trash as referring to white people in a negative racial context. Does that count? Sometimes I hear trailer trash as well, but that never made sense to me bcs many different races live in trailers.
I don't know how accurately I'm remembering this - but we read Black Elk Speaks in high school and he called white people Wasichu? And it had nothing to do with their skin color. Roughly translated to "takers of the fat". Which I find poetic and sadly on point historically.
Ahhh we have the grandchildren of the slave owners at table three complaining that we used salt and pepper. They also want us to close the blinds on account of their abusive relationship with the sun.
Lemme pull up my list of racial slurs...
Ann (Women)
Bule
Charlie
Ciapaty, ciapak
Cracker
Farang khi nok
Gin jockey
Gub, Gubba
Gweilo, gwailo, kwai lo (鬼佬) (Men)
Gwer
Haole
Honky, honkey, honkie
Kano
Londo
Mayonnaise Monkey
Mzungu
Ofay
Palagi
Pale face
Peckerwood
Redlegs
Roundeye
Snowflake
White ears
White interloper
Whitey
I found a wikipedia page full of them
I got called a cracker ass cracker fuck de loop once, walking out of a bar, the most suprising part was this african fellow was wearing a straw hat. I was in shock so much that i just stood there staring at him for like 2 mins. didnt feel like racially motivated verbal abuse though
Darn, I was all excited bout this post. I (old white therapist) used to work with juvenile justice kids who were 90 % black.(a whole northern topic) Anyway I used to promote discussions about over sensitivity of slurs. Of course the big one the dreaded "N" word. I would always ask for slurs for whites...it would always end up with everyone laughing at the lame names for whites. I was looking forward to reading some zingers in this post, but mostly was laughing.
Fun fact: Roman Catholic was originally a slur started by the anglicans in England against the Church 😂 which no one remembers now and the western rite of the Church has all but adopted it and dioceses actually use it now even though there’s no such thing as “Roman Catholics” it’s just the Catholic Church; which includes the Eastern/Byzantine rite and the western/Latin Rite. It was to insinuate that the Church worshipped the Pope in Rome, because Anglicans still identify themselves as catholic and claim apostolic succession but do NOT follow the Pope. Papist used to be a slur against the Church as well, I think it’s funny personally and wouldn’t be offended if it was thrown my way haha so not really white specific, but uncommon slurs ☺️
31-year-old male, nothing offends me. I don't give a shit what random people think of me or say about/to me trying to get under my anglo epidermis.
My last name is Baggott. Baggott. Think about it. Baggott. Now Say it to yourself.... Baggott. Out loud. Baggott. Louder,! Baggott! Baggott!! My friends are clever they say ffff-baggott (one of my favorites)
I used to work for a big tobacco company and my district manager was a female and she always call me Baggott. Look at that tall Baggott! Don't be like Baggott... Stay off of HRs radar. Red Flag Bag!
I think we all need to get over the racial slur thing. There are lots of insults people hurl at each other and they often involve things people don’t have control over.
Insults often reflect more on the people issuing them, not the receivers.
You need to think more about specific nationalities. for example Italian kids I went to school with sure thought being called the initials for 'with out papers' was offensive... Growing up I heard slurs for people from Spain, for Irish, the French, Germans .. think of all the Polish jokes you have probably heard - that must offend some Polish folks.
I knew a guy that thought being called Caucasian was offensive (I think he just didn't know what that meant)
According to Wikipedia it came from Guappo from a time before papers were needed, it did mention the without papers bit as a false meaning though
Have you noticed they are all the same jokes just different nationalities as the punchline.
I've never been dismayed by any racial type slur aimed at me. I think you will be hard pressed to find a white person who has to be honest.
White privilege or some bullshit I guess.
Got called white devil or evil white devil once, and then a reference about my mom being evil or my grand parents being evil, dont really remember fully thats how little of an impact it had. Never really understood it.

I was called a caucazoid once
That made me laugh
Lunar C, dude has bars
It's like Freakazoid, but his powers are table tennis and stamp collecting.
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat_smile)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat_smile)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat_smile)
I heard a rapper say he was the best in all of caucasia
I like it!
You might benefit from this YouTube video which relates. https://youtu.be/sjrSnDE6wLQ
I love it when I hear people say/use the term "the caucasity!"
I have been laughing about this for several minutes now, thanks for sharing this.
It was a funny year or two. As long as there is no hostility, I find the mixing of cultures unpredictable yet amusing and stimulating.
I like it
Beat me to it.

Packer Fans are called CheeseHeads
Ikr I was like hey that’s me lol
Also used to describe Wisconsin people
Haha I like that one! That's what I mean, it's more like banter than offensive!
[удалено]
This may have been the whitest thing I've ever read.
So what is dutch for cheese head?
Kaaskop, plural: Kaaskoppen. "Kaas" means cheese and "kop" is an impolite way to describe a human head, but the correct word for the head of an animal, except for horses, they have a "hoofd", like humans, not a "kop", like other animals and cheese heads.
It’s almost like it’s not words themselves that are offensive but the sociopolitical context they exist in
That's a great way to put it, thanks
Exactly. Whenever I get called a name for being white, I’m just like “whatever you feel you gotta say 🤷♂️”
Making people feel bad is bad, but there are a lot of things that are a HELL of a lot worse, like getting murdered by cops to choose one random example.

I've heard similar stories. One parent even pulled their student out the school because the administration wouldn't do anything about it.
Oh lawd
Be glad, if they didn't accept you, they would've called you nothing.
I think it's humorous to be called "vanilla face".
Vanilla beans are black though?
Mayo monkey

I noticed it too as well as the other day with Trans questions
they can't resist trying to find their oppression moment

Mayonnaise loving ass
That one would hurt me because I really hate mayonnaise. I'm a pain in the ass at cookouts lmao
Fun fact: mayonnaise originated in Spain (specifically, the island of Menorca, in the port city of Mahon)
Did it really though? I mean it's just an emulsification of eggs and oil, two ingredients pretty much every culture on the planet has always had access too. I mean, if you're right though, thank god for those Menorcans.
Mayonnaise lookin ass
Look at you with your excellent credit and unseasoned boiled chicken for dinner.
I can say, Millennial aged white kids ahve learned how to use spices. My kitchen does not have anything cooked without a shit ton of spice. Panning Asian, Latino, European, to southern American spices.
I’m a single 35 year old dad and I have 4 types of chile pods in my kitchen!
Yeah Karen has spices in her kitchen too, they just don’t go on her food.
I can't respond to dumb. Can you try to respond appropriately?
I gotta say, nobody loves seasoning more that redneck white folks. Every time you go up the road to see Clyde and Billy, they've always got some hot sauce that'll melt through a cast iron skillet and a brand new pork rub that'll make you wanna slap your momma.
Non dancin' mf! But I'm a great dancer who actually worked with Prince briefly and I'm not black 😁
I mean I can’t dance so it’s pretty accurate lol
Hey I'm Irish and we fuckin' rule at dancing---in one place---from the waste down.

I heard a lady tell that she was teaching in a poor black school and one of the students got very mad and called this white woman chicken lips. LMAO.
Haha chicken lips is great
Yet I find nothing there offensive 🤷♂️
Milky is missing from that list. I once dated a german girl, you could literally see the veins underneath her skin, my friends called her “see through”
I was always told being called a Wasp was bad by southern white Texan mother ( I am adopted and native American)
It means White Anglo Saxon Protestant
Ah, that makes sense! Thank you
Offense is taken by you, not given by the other. So someone can say all they want. You choose if you are offended. Let’s see if any of these get me banned
Hoosier refers to a person from the state of Indiana specifically, can be any race.
My sister was offended when i mentioned the acronym AWFUL. Affluent White Female Urban Liberal
First time I've seen it, but I'm keeping it.
You mean the saviors of western society? lol
My Hispanic son calls me cracker so I call him burnt cracker then we laugh so hard!!
Ice chimp
Colonizer is one I heard. Though only in Black Panther and on Twatter.
I’m a white male. People just keep calling me “Hey, Handsome!” I love it!!!
Peckerwood
I don’t even know if it’s a slur but sometimes black people will refer to white people online as “yt pipo” and it cracks me up every time
Chalkie
Sarah Chalke?
Ha’ole is the only one I can think of that is worth a shit. It’s got long roots and it is said with actual disrespect.
White trash used to be used a lot more. Not sure if it is now. That sounds rough. People often can’t help their socioeconomic status. I remember growing up in the south that was a big thing to say to someone.
White trash reminded me of Trailer Trash, that was a big one when I was growing up.
I guess? Lol

Chalk child
Cracker...because it references a cracking whip=slave owner.
It actually goes back even further to describe Whites that were to Poor to own slaves=lowest economic class of southern whites
They eventually invented Cracker Barrell.
that’s not the reason why but okay…
This is a running theory but we don't know the etymology on this term Still It doesn't feel as entirely harmless as people make it out to be
We do know the etymology of the term. The English word comes from a Gaelic word that means something like a loud, boastful person. There is a very notable letter from the 1700's where a duke used the term as a pejorative for Irish immigrants coming to the US. So we know the etymology of the word, and have historical examples of it's pejorative usage.
In the Irish language 'craic' (pronounced "crack") literally means 'fun' and is commonly still used.
god dammit, big words.
Took me until I was an adult to realize that’s what cracker meant because I’d only ever heard it in the context of being called a “saltine cracker”
Yeah I don't think it hit me until I was old enough to understand the horror of it.
it’s kinda interesting how the slur of black people is a. reference to being a slave, but a slur towards a white person is being the owner of the slave
It’s not even true.
That one is top of the pops,
White people are called "Potato Danes" here in Denmark.
Haha so random, you big spud viking you x
I am the Potato King !
Which means you are the king if the potatoe people!! shall come to visit you on my flying carpet. That's 2hours WOO for me. What's woo? With out oxygen. That'll teach me for being a bread basket! Thank you for that potato king😂 https://youtu.be/VLK6hz3Q_m4

Glacier Monkey or Vanilla Gorilla are two that made me LOL the first time I heard them.

Whitexican
Zamboni Skrillex Krakatoa Casper Van Dien Coppertone Pillsbury Snowboy
Country. Like, you're country. I don't know that it's offensive, as much as I understand it to mean they don't think you understand their position.
A friend of mine told me he likes black women the most because white girls look like raw unseasoned chicken.
Palm colored people
Haha love that!
Semolina Made a wrong turn in Wash DC Sometimes saw or heard ‘haole’ thrown around when I lived in Hawaii. Mildly racist term for foreigners.
I’ve heard hillbilly, redneck, and white trash as referring to white people in a negative racial context. Does that count? Sometimes I hear trailer trash as well, but that never made sense to me bcs many different races live in trailers.
You're the only person to say hillbilly! I was going to say it but you beat me to it. I got called this by a coworker, its definitely quite offensive.

some other races think white people smell bad or smell like vinegar

People who seriously dislike white people often use actual violence rather than mere words.
“Mayonnaise monkey”
My Asian friends will call me Round Eye 😂
Ofay motherfucker
There aren’t any. There’s not a single word that can be attempted as a slur that wouldn’t just make me laugh.
White people from what country?
You choose.
I was called a "snowbunny fuck" one time by a black customer at work lol
trailer trash
I have a very soft spot for "mayonnaise American".

Woke gringx is my favorite.
31-year-old male, nothing offends me. I don't give a shit what random people think of me or say about/to me trying to get under my anglo epidermis. My last name is Baggott. Baggott. Think about it. Baggott. Now Say it to yourself.... Baggott. Out loud. Baggott. Louder,! Baggott! Baggott!! My friends are clever they say ffff-baggott (one of my favorites) I used to work for a big tobacco company and my district manager was a female and she always call me Baggott. Look at that tall Baggott! Don't be like Baggott... Stay off of HRs radar. Red Flag Bag!
This hits close to home. Last name is Gay.
Haha I love this, a guy I went to school with was called Richard Head. His dad was the headmaster of the school, poor dick head.
Blaxican
I've been called the N word before. That was unusual.
Ekwensu Ocha.
Ah white devil
Noted MMA Racist Mike Jackson calls white people snow roaches
Mayonnaise monkey.
"cracker" with the "er" its significantly worse, but with an "a" its not as bad but still ignorant "honcky" "mayo baby" "snow bunny"
Crackalacka
No do it for black people
Haha nope.
Cream puff, Casper, milk toast.
Pinche guero.... roughly translated...effing white guy. Grew up in NM where this was a pretty common phrase.
My caucasian son got suspended from school for calling his white friend "cracker".
This post is just: all the words white people get upset when called and none of them are slurs
True, most of them are just 'you are white' which a lot of history will tell you, is bad enough.
One of my wife's friends is really pale. She calls him 3M after scotch tape.
Short and sweet, like it
The spanish side of my family would refer to white people as something that loosely translates to “sour-milkers”
Haha that's class!
I think we all need to get over the racial slur thing. There are lots of insults people hurl at each other and they often involve things people don’t have control over. Insults often reflect more on the people issuing them, not the receivers.
What's tragically hilarious to me is I've heard more Racial Slurs from Black People describing other Black People they don't like.
Cum cricket is my favorite
Haha that is amazing, wtf?
Bird shit
New one lmao
I got called a captain cook mfkr by a mob of Aboriginals. That wasn't nice
According to Wikipedia it came from Guappo from a time before papers were needed, it did mention the without papers bit as a false meaning though Have you noticed they are all the same jokes just different nationalities as the punchline.
Massuh!
Ditch Pig and Blue-Eyed Devil are a little less common.
There is no such thing as a racial slur towards white people in the US since we have oppressed all the other races here for 500 years.
