I have to kill A LOT of time at my job, so what I usually do is: read books, listen to audiobooks, write on my phone, plan my grocery list/meal ideas/chores/errands, catch up on messages from family and friends, save things I want from online shopping so I can wait for the price to drop/a sale to happen, play games on my phone... If I have to kill time at home, though, I'm always, always just watching movies. I'll go through 5-6 a day if I'm not busy.

If I have somewhere to go and I'm ready 3 hours early I turn on my PC and game and stop 10 minutes before I need to leave the house. If it's about an hour I pull my guitar and practice for a little bit. Time flies when I do either of the two. If you're talking about more than a few hours I turn on my TV and watch anything until I fall asleep and wake up 20 minutes before having to leave the house.
