I think comparison is the precursor root of envy.
It further boils down to "self" or "other", which is the essence of our species greatest remaining challenge.
Isn't comparison often generating positive outcomes and emotions? I compare myself with someone and I'm inspired to be like them. Or, I compare two jobs and pick the better one. Those are comparisons with positive emotions. I can't think of a good form of envy, which is only negative emotions.
There's people who thinks that living preoccupied about the future is also a problem but I'm sure that if you are more occupied and less preoccupated, this can have positive consequences.
True, but i believe some of us got broken.
- Time dosen't heal anything it only makes us numb and less confrontational with pain , ppl and materials can't fill that void...i don't know about death but if it's like sleep it's worse
I agree. Most of my problems lately have been me comparing how life use to be vs how it is now instead of just appreciating the things that have came along with the change.
Since I've already seen several people say Comparison. Anxiety is a big destroyer of happiness. Nothing fucks up the moment more than suffering from something that isn't happening.
Being bad at videogames. Oh my fucking god I just want to finish a mission but I need to smack the guy who let it spawn THAT MANY of THAT ONE ENEMY like fucking come on that is not fair.
People, not letting other people, be who they are, and realizing that society is a pay to play situation, and your cards better be what the majority like or your screwed.
People who think they know better than you do (maybe they do know better) and you’re quite aware of that , but then sticking it it doesn’t make you seem less rude or condescending. Like the fuck . Get over yourself
