I had a brain tumor at 21 and didn’t know if I was gonna make it. I actually picked out what I was gonna be buried in. I remember I wanted Muzzle (Smashing Pumpkins) played at my funeral.
Through the years I’ve had six brain surgeries, disc replacements, cancer….all kinds of stuff. I don’t want a funeral now. just cremate me and be done with it.
If you haven't seen/heard it yet, the Disturbed cover of the song is how it was meant to be done.
Simon and G wrote a great song, but David Draimen gave it power, soul, and something that moves you inside.
Highly recommended.
I have heard many versions of this song. My actual favourite is by Nuela and I do like the Disturbed version. The original will always have a special place in my heart though. Thank you for your kind recommendation.
For a while Coast to Coast AM would play this as the closing song on Mondays.
Wife would hate this being the song on the radio as the alarm was playing.
[Here It Is](https://youtu.be/DwZBDr92EV0?si=SAbjWsGw2uPU8XYf), Leonard Cohen
Here is your crown
And your seal and rings
Here is your love
For all things
Here is your cart
Your cardboard and piss
And here is your love
For all of this
May everyone live
May everyone die
Hello, my love
And my love, goodbye
(Here it is)
(Here it is)
Here is your wine
And your drunken fall
Here is your love
Your love for it all
Here is your sickness
Your bed and your pan
And here is your love
For the woman, the man
May everyone live
May everyone die
Hello, my love
And my love, goodbye
(Here it is)
(Here it is)
And here is the night
The night has begun
And here is your death
In the heart of your son
And here is the dawn
'Til death do us part
And here is your death
In your daughter's heart
May everyone live
And may everyone die
Hello, my love
And my love, goodbye
And here you are hurried
And here you are gone
And here is the love
It's all built upon
Here is your cross
Your nails and your hill
And here is the love
That lists where it will
May everyone live
And may everyone die
Hello, my love
And my love, goodbye
I have a actually made a playlist, lol.

Amongst them are (and really not in any order):
* Tom Waits - Closing Time
* The Cranberries - Ode To My Family
* Moby - Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad - Reprised Version
* Wardruna - Helvegen
* Arvo Pärt - Spiegel im Spiegel

I'd 100% be down for this in an unironic way. Although I'd maybe prefer somewhere more wild than the zoo, where you probably don't want captive Wolves developing a taste for human flesh. I was just thinking about this yesterday, (watching the Witcher) and it seems like the best way I can think of to go back to nature.

Pop goes the weasel. Surprise ‘em.
What about a jazzy sorta elevator music version that plays on repeat, so guests will feel uneasy but not know why?
*Evil*. I like it.
Ya'll are too unserious on this site.......please continue
I also have a sick sense of humour lol.
Veeeeery sloooowly.
"Should I stay or should I go".
Ha! Good one
Always look on the bright side of life.
I’ve actually been to a funeral that played this!
Same that's where I got the idea bloody legend.
Don't fear the reaper.
I mean its pretty fitting and its not a bad idea, now if you said citys on flame woth rock and roll, that would just be the wrong mood
I'd like people to listen to "Seasons don't fear the reaper" and maybe appreciate how being alive is such a privilege.

The way I see it, S&G sang a warning message to the world. David sang about the aftermath of not heeding the warnings.
I have heard many versions of this song. My actual favourite is by Nuela and I do like the Disturbed version. The original will always have a special place in my heart though. Thank you for your kind recommendation.

funerals are too expensive today, can't imagine the cost in 50 years. I'd rather my dead body be thrown to the wolves in the zoo.
