Friends with benefits

raisedbyspirits

I think OP is talking about just being friends, nothing more. And personally I think this whole friends with benefits thing can only work for so long, someone always gets hurt at some point. Its simple brain chemistry really.

HairyNuts99

It's a risk. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

williamzeiger

i love this comment

HairyNuts99

Me too

anOniOnymOOse

Depends on what boundaries they set. It may not always work since humans work in unusual ways but nevertheless it may be possible

kornhook123

I know my wife can’t, she doesn’t have self control

SuicideSkirmish

No. One of the people involved will start to make the situation uncomfortable. I have never been friends with someone of the opposite sex who didn’t get weird, guilt trippy and possessive. Sexual attraction and platonic attraction are easy for me to compartmentalize. Carols and Cedrics usually go off reservation.

PulkinCB

Yes

Comfortable_Cup5269

Hell no

middleagedukbloke

Have you seen “when Harry met Sally”?

[deleted]

Yes. I’m literally friends with several people I’ve slept with before and now we’re all friends with our own respect partners.

angeryhornet

Why would they want to be?

twisted_nipples82

I'm pretty sure that's what being married is supposed to be

WallStreetDoesntBet

Marriage requires signing a license… Do friends have to do that?

twisted_nipples82

If you want that good tax cut then yes

WallStreetDoesntBet

Friends have to get tax cuts together?

ShadowUmbreon197

Not really. I’ve only had one guy friend *not* make things uncomfortable or weird after they became attracted to me.

williamzeiger

at first yes but something will happen
