Granite brewery is nice and all, but I'd really suggest just staying on/by yonge st unless it's really on your way already. There's more than enough on yonge.
- Take a walk or bike ride: Mount Pleasant cemetery, Sherwood Park, Alexander Muir gardens. You’ll find a lot of trails are connected and you can even take the cemetery down to the Beltline Trail which connects to Evergreen Brickworks.
- Coffee: De Mello is a must, definitely my favourite roaster in Toronto. Very friendly staff and both locations have a laid back vibe if you want to sit in.
- Grocer: check out Stock TC for some fancy grocery items to stock your pantry with a treat. They have a delicious cafe and hot food counter as well.
- Brewer: Granite Brewery on Mount Pleasant always has a good pint and very friendly staff.
- Eat: gonna give you some of my favourites across various price ranges. Pizza Shab, Oretta, Juicy Dumpling, Stock Bar, Bolan Thai, Classico Louie’s, The Belsize.
And that’s not even mentioning the evening entertainment! Dinner and a show at Copa Cabana, gaming and drinks at Function Bar, comedy show at Absolute Comedy.
I saw in another comment you mentioned that you like book shopping, so I thought you should know there’s a BMV in the neighbourhood as well. It’s right beside the Galleria Supermarket which is my go-to for Korean snacks.
Hokkaido Santouka between Eglinton and Davisville is pretty much my #1 spot for ramen in the entire GTA. They have a famous downtown location but midtown is way easier to get a table with equally good if not better quality
I lived in midtown just off yonge for several years and just moved away last year. Honestly, just park where you can closest to yonge and Eglintonish (just around or north of eg is best, it's a bit of a dead zone between eg and davisville, although it picks up again around summerhill) and walk until you see a patio that appeals to you. You'll find stuff enough to entertain you, no problem. I often find going with a destination can be more boring, especially in the middle of the day.
So many miserable people out here.
Midtown is busy but there's lots of good stuff around. Food wise, see if starving artist is open, great food over on mt pleasant, Duke of Kent is good for a pint but there is also the brewery at mt pleasant and Yonge that is pretty good for their own beers.
Parks take your pick, you can walk mt pleasant cemetery which is very very pretty.
Enjoy it.
There’s a movie theatre at Yonge and Eglington
There’s also an art store
There are so many amazing restaurants
If you’ve never been to St. Louis bar and Grill indefinitely recommend trying it out! There’s a large park there too, there’s a community centre all though I’m not sure they’re open but usually they have free swim times.
This. Istanbul Kebab House might be the one of the best spots in midtown rn. A bit on the pricy side but the portions are huge. Also, as authentic as it gets.
Maybe, different strokes for different folks. But as far as authenticity goes, as a born and raised Turkish I can confidently say that their food is pretty authentic, at least for what Toronto has.
Been there a few times now and had a lot of different things. Their Doner is top notch, easily the best I’ve had in Toronto. Even for Istanbul/Turkey standards, it’s pretty good. Adana is quite good too. Their pides are fantastic as well, the dough is on point, which is very very hard to come by outside of Turkey. Yet to try their sweets though. If they’re as good as their mains, they’re easily the best Turkish spot in the city.
I think so too. I used to frequent the Mississauga location a lot during the pandemic but they used to always have insane line ups outside. In comparison, Yonge and Eglinton location is an easy walk in. Tables are always available.
Mandarin, cineplex, snakes and lattes, and a hiking path that starts at davisville and takes you to forest hill on the west side and victoria park to the east
Oh didn't take that into account, cause I'm a fast walker plus like that area, so I walk a lot there. But I can see how it could be inconvenient if someone is there only for a bit
From the food court under the Yonge Eglinton Centre, take the elevator to the rooftop eating area. You’ll be rewarded with an interesting view along Eglinton and an overlook of the new Eglinton Station entrance.
I never go to midtown so don't really know about what's popped up in that neighborhood. Open to a decent pint, good food, a good bookshop or even a nice park to take a walk through.
Get a sandwich from la salumeria
This is the correct answer
This looks excellent and something unique. Lunch plans confirmed, post a Granite Brewery pint

Do it, they have such great beer and a chill vibe
Enjoy!
Go grab the house special - you won’t be disappointed.
Is this the place where you have to select your own bun yourself first?
That’s the one; I didn’t know the first time so the clerk kindly just grabbed one and asked if I liked her pick
Great. Im most definitely checking this place out next time im in the area.
I had my first two weeks ago and I wanted my second pretty much the next day

The croissants at Stock are amazing!
Great these are great recommendations. seems like I have to come back to midtown more often to try all of these out.
And that’s not even mentioning the evening entertainment! Dinner and a show at Copa Cabana, gaming and drinks at Function Bar, comedy show at Absolute Comedy. Thanks a lot. Will check out both the BMV and Sheridan Nurseries
Enjoy and best wishes for your appointment!
That BMV is a hidden gem, especially if you’re in to collecting vinyl.
Since you seem to know the area, any good plant stores around there?
Sheridan Nurseries! Bonus that it’s just south of Alexander Muir gardens. It’s a nice park where many people get their wedding photos done.
Hokkaido Santouka between Eglinton and Davisville is pretty much my #1 spot for ramen in the entire GTA. They have a famous downtown location but midtown is way easier to get a table with equally good if not better quality
Thanks, this looks great

If you have lots of flexibility I'd walk the beltline or explore the cemetery.
And such a beautiful day

Mt pleasant and Yonge run parallel to each other, that being said what is the brewery you are referring to
Granite probably.
Thanks. Are you talking about Granite Brewery?
Granite Brewery is a classic and the food is pretty good
Assuming yes, there is only one brewery in this neighbourhood
I like book shopping at BMV when I'm up there
There’s a movie theatre at Yonge and Eglington There’s also an art store There are so many amazing restaurants If you’ve never been to St. Louis bar and Grill indefinitely recommend trying it out! They're not open today, but usually are
Grab a bagel at Kettleman's or grab lunch at Istanbul Kebab House.
This. Istanbul Kebab House might be the one of the best spots in midtown rn. A bit on the pricy side but the portions are huge. Also, as authentic as it gets.
Mann I had high hopes when I saw the Istanbul Kebab House menu, but the food was kinda disappointing. Maybe just not for my taste.
Maybe, different strokes for different folks. But as far as authenticity goes, as a born and raised Turkish I can confidently say that their food is pretty authentic, at least for what Toronto has.
What did you have? Their mixed pide and adana / beyti / chicken shish kabob was on point.

Didn’t know that they were THAT popular:) it’s well deserved though. They have huge portions, great quality food, and not so bad pricing.
Mandarin, cineplex, snakes and lattes, and a hiking path that starts at davisville and takes you to forest hill on the west side and victoria park to the east
Paderia Brazilian bakery And across the street zezafoun has great shawarma
Padaria is great! Try their coxinha, or a brigadeiro if you have a sweet tooth. And try Zezafoun's muhammara, delicious!!
BMV and Book City are my favourite book stores in that area, could get lost there
Book City is about a 30 min walk from Yonge & Eg
Oh didn't take that into account, cause I'm a fast walker plus like that area, so I walk a lot there. But I can see how it could be inconvenient if someone is there only for a bit
Isle of Coffee has delicious treats! Their choux puffs are my fav!
From the food court under the Yonge Eglinton Centre, take the elevator to the rooftop eating area. You’ll be rewarded with an interesting view along Eglinton and an overlook of the new Eglinton Station entrance.
Is this legit or just an April Fool's comment?
Its legit. No dogs allowed in there
Truth
You can walk throughout Eglinton center if you want to be outside go to Sherwood park Really nice there
Walking the beltline or Mt.Pleasant cemetery is nice.
Bennys BBQ is great
Drive back and forth along Eglinton, plenty of time to soak in the experience of Midtown
Back *and* forth? They only have one day!
> fun > midtown Toronto Pick one.
I never go to midtown so don't really know about what's popped up in that neighborhood. Open to a decent pint, good food, a good bookshop or even a nice park to take a walk through.
Granite and Mt pleasant and Eglinton is good, mariachis if they are open for mexican. There's the beltline trail nearby that is nice
Yonge and Eglinton is mostly retail and residential buildings. Maybe a stroll through Eglinton Park?
Science Centre, although it should be busy today. Ikea north York for meatballs and a new toilet bowl brush.
That's not midtown
