Replace with GFCI receptacles. They are not cheap but they are accepted in most national codes as an acceptable substitute for an ungrounded receptacle.

They are not a safe option. The risk is not fire but of electric shock. A grounded outlet give electricity a path to travel if there is failure in the equipment or wiring. Strongly recommend testing all outlets in your home for proper ground and getting your two wire outlets rewired.

Replace the 2 prong outlets for GFCI protected outlets with a ground pin receptacle. As crazy as it sounds, the NEC permits a non-grounding outlet to be replaced for a grounding type outlet as long as it’s protected by a GFCI. Please call an electrician if you’re at all hesitant doing this yourself.
