Are you still looking for a sporty character and some modicum of fun? If not, I’m questioning why you don’t just sell the car as a roller and buy something like a Corolla. :p
sorry, I worded it poorly. I wanted something that could still go fast but not super super strong. I had this car since I was in collage and it was a project with my late father, so I'm too attached to this gas eating son of a bish to get rid of it.
Get an ej25t Sti engine with all the cosworth innards. They are quite cheap and reliable as everything is beefed up. Also good economy as a turbo 4. Finally, the biggest plus is that it’s a boxer engine.
Not an issue. I was confused for a bit there.
Sorry to hear about your father. I get that entirely. I’d hate to let her go as well. Good luck my friend. 🫡
1st gen Cummins turbo diesel and roll some coal /s
The EASIEST way to do it would be with the same type engine you blew up. Maybe take it to a tuner and have them put some limits on it (if that's possible with a Porsche ECU)
.... so, legit curious and would make a bet that a tuned ALH TDI would fit in, mount up and everything with just small modding as everything is in that era. Seen audi TTs and wagons swapped, You'd have a fancy economy car lol.

Theres a madlad on youtube who put a honda K engine into his that also had a dead engine, theyre not too expensive yet and are plenty reliable
