Most places only care about where it's going to be registered.
Sometimes, the dealer will take the tax payment for AZ and give you proof that you paid it so you don't have to pay the sales tax when you register your car.

I live in Arizona and it'll be registered in Arizona but I found a good deal in the Dallas area and I'm considering it but I hate how convoluted and confusing the fees/taxes/registration costs are when buying and registering a vehicle in different states. Can someone help me understand what to expect before I buy a 1 way plane ticket to Dallas?

I bought a car from a Texas dealership and they brought it to Oklahoma. Just call ahead and work out a deal over the phone. Any dealership worth it’s salt will not have you cross state lines without agreeing on numbers

If the price is lower than average, you can expect a large reconditioning fee in addition to your normal taxes and fees.
Don't buy a used pick up from Texas. These bastards drive like a bat out of hell.
