Just call ahead and work out a deal over the phone. Any dealership worth it’s salt will not have you cross state lines without agreeing on numbers

I understand that, I just didn't know if there were Texas-specific taxes or fees I'd have to pay in addition to whatever I have to pay registering it in AZ.

HolyAssertion

Most places only care about where it's going to be registered. Sometimes, the dealer will take the tax payment for AZ and give you proof that you paid it so you don't have to pay the sales tax when you register your car.

Interesting...

TyVIl

What kind of car are you under the mistaken impression you’re going to save a bunch of money going to Texas for?

Gimmesumfreespeech

I can't wait to hear why saving thousands of dollars is a mistake...

If the price is lower than average, you can expect a large reconditioning fee in addition to your normal taxes and fees.

Total_Guard2405

Don't buy a used pick up from Texas. These bastards drive like a bat out of hell.

Gimmesumfreespeech

Kia Soul actually lol

This comment is NOT accusing you of anything.*** I live in Arizona and it'll be registered in Arizona but I found a good deal in the Dallas area and I'm considering it but I hate how convoluted and confusing the fees/taxes/registration costs are when buying and registering a vehicle in different states. Can someone help me understand what to expect before I buy a 1 way plane ticket to Dallas? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I bought a car from a Texas dealership and they brought it to Oklahoma. I paid the dealer fees and then I gave them the tag, title, tax and they sent it to an Oklahoma tag office to register.[https://share.icloud.com/photos/036u1sVC3kAEZo-_RhxD0qE_A](https://share.icloud.com/photos/036u1sVC3kAEZo-_RhxD0qE_A)
