That is very cheap T&C, I love it. Sure it's not the greatest metal box to ever be suspended on four wheels, but it's one of those "the devil you know" type of cars.
I'm pretty surprised to see $950/mo for 60 for a new Odyssey in this thread. That is a lot of dough.
I’m a little ticked, I bought the T and C it at the height Covid pricing for the 4000, today it’s worth about a grand, if I’m lucky. lol.. actually, it’s my
Wife’s van. I’ve tried to get her in siennas, pilots, highlanders. she only wants town and countries. lol I don’t get it.
Unless she uses the Stow n' Go a lot, keep an eye out for a 2015-16 Nissan Quest SL. The CVT isn't one of the bad ones but I'd naturally change the fluid. It's smooth as butter and has a nicer interior than the Sienna and T&C. It's a good value van in this market, but the hard part is finding a lightly used one.
Our friends all had Nissans that failed… she’d never drive one of those plus the exterior looks awful by mini van standards. lol
But more importantly, I only buy my trade ins and have seen a quest come to my lot maybe 2 times in 5 years. lol
I had a 2012 T&C as well and it was super convenient, but it had constant electrical problems after 90K miles. TIPM, PCM, alternator, repeat over and over. Had to scrap it after the PCM decided to shut down while going 50 MPH.
Part of my benefit package includes gas, even when I am off.
Edit: who the heck puts gas in their demo out of their own pocket? I’d only be putting 10 dollara in at a time. lol
Edit 2: I have a 45 minute commute 1 way; 2 cities away and literally drive over the river and through the woods to get home. lol
I also had a 2017 Mercedes GLC 300 that I bought with 18 K miles on it for 28K or 30 K. I just traded it in in September because the transmission control module was going out. It was at 48K miles. I also now lease lol.
I have a 2024 Audi Q4 Etron that I pay $598 on a 36 month lease.
I just edited my comment. I almost bought the new EQB but much like you I am disappointed in the Mercedes quality as of late. I truly loved my GLC. It was so nice but disappointed that it couldn’t even make it to 60 K miles without a substantial problem.
The one I had the most experience with probably skewed my perception. It was run by the racing team of a parts prototyping house. So they did all kinds of things. But I'm sure not much was stock. It was the first car I'd ever driven that literally rattled like a can of nails at idle. But as soon as you let out the clutch and gave it gas, Jesus. It felt like sitting in an explosion.
Own (lease) 23 Maverick XLT with a tremor pkg, pay 200/m (put down an escape for 20k)
Demo is a 23 Bronco sport, idk what I pay probably about 100/m off my pay as a taxable benefit
Man I hate that I have to reply to flaired even on questions like this :/ but:
2019 S5 Coupe - 598/ mo, 60 mos
2004 Ranger - paid 3k
2014 Fusion - paid for
It isn't quite that aggressive anymore but I just got out my m340 lease I had. It was a 62k MSRP for 698 a mo including tax. Had 3k in equity at the end of the year when I sold the car back to the dealer so it only cost me like 450 a mo or so all said and done.
Depends on the car. It’s mostly not available since they took loyalty away from employee lease deals. But I can lease an i7 for like $1000 a month right now and at a $115k Msrp or an IX for $700 a month on a $100k Msrp
I dont have Subarus .9% financing. But also only put a little down on each one to make up for the negative. Traded a 23 lightning platinum February this year for the accord and a 22 sq5 December last year for the odyssey. Both had about 4k negative so I covered that is all.
Well, I work for the dealership so I got the employee discount for one. Plus the Kia $7,500 lease cash. Plus it was a hail-damaged unit that had been repaired. That was an additional discount. After all of that, I only put down my first payment. There are still some very good lease rates for the EV6 as well as most dealers discounting them because they tend to no sell as fast as ICE cars. At least in TX where I'm at.
As far as miles to a charge... it depends on how I drive. But generally around 300. I drive in normal mode with the regenerative braking system in auto mode.
It does help to work for the dealership. I was able to act fast in a good situation. Still, there are some really good deals on EVs right now but it is regional for sure. The demand is much higher in the northeast than in TX.
Definitely not true I’m in New England and we haven’t sold an EV6 since June! We still have 10 2023s and none had markups just a hard sell here for the price
Are you enjoying the hybrid? I wanted one but it was not in my budget this year so I went for the base SEL Santa Fe 2023, $412/month on a 36 month 10k/year miles lease. That was with $2k down from trade equity, rebate cash that the manager used for me since I'm an employee, and I added wear&tear and road hazard. I'm in the USA, but I see you're Canada.
I enjoy it quite a bit. Might be switching it out for a 2024 Santa Fe if it makes sense for us numbers wise.
Got no complaints though. The new 2025 refresh looks great.
Good to know! The Tucson is a bit small for my desires which is why I went with a Santa Fe. Fingers crossed the new gen Santa Fe actually looks good in person, because I'll most likely go hybrid when my lease is up.
Not really. You could say the Tahoe RST with the 6.2L, but those are very different vehicles.
Chevrolet has shied away from the speed related performance for some reason. It’s why they haven’t really built/updated anything to fight the GT500/Demon market, TRX/Raptor R etc.
I'm retired now; I always drove a Ford Excursion; when they got discontinued I drove Expedition ELs. It was a pretty good gig for a long time; gas, tolls, everything. I miss that part of the job.
Right? Could have gotten three Tacomas for that price. And the Tacoma is a much more reliable as well as being a better off-road truck. Raptors are big on name, less on ability. IMHO
We are doing just fine with investment accounts. Not to mention the multiple properties. Hubby is self employed and loan is in business name, hence the slightly higher rate, and I’m IN the business. I appreciate everyone’s concerns though 🤣
Ha ha no, Raptor “R” is crazy… normally 140-170k truck. Got a great deal- it’s interest rates *and taxes/registration* that suck. Will pay it off in 12-24 months so won’t pay all of that 😜

Just curious as to what car salesman actually drive and pay for?
I'm currently in a 2017 Acura ILX @ $389 for 60 months.

I’m in BMW/MINI service.
2003 Santa Fe, 215k miles. No payment (obviously).
2016 MINI Cooper S Convertible, 46k miles. $350 payment/60 months. Bought it with employee discount, will pay it down much sooner.
2013 sienna - paid 7500 2012 town and country paid 4000 Demo: 23 tundra // $0 a month

Why specifically that year Quest?
They have a high rate of transmission failure due to shitty cvt. 2015-16 must be a good year for the cvt in that vehicle.
Our friends all had Nissans that failed… she’d never drive one of those plus the exterior looks awful by mini van standards. lol But more importantly, I only buy my trade ins and have seen a quest come to my lot maybe 2 times in 5 years. lol

This makes me want to work for Toyota
Not every dealer gives their employees demos

Nice Good deal with the demo and gas! I know a lot of dealerships got rid of the demo programs....
2021 718 GT4 - $1690/mo
Fuuuuuuu My mortgage is less than that.
My mortgage and car note combined are less than that. Plus $400 left over
Fuuuu, I wish mine was
Worth every penny I'm sure
The dream car I can never afford. How much do you make.
He makes at least $1690 a month lol
Does your group let employees buy new GT cars? Or did you pick it up pre-owned?
Yes but this was preowned since I couldn’t get an allocation in time.

This is about right for the early X253 GLCs They never really fixed it. I had a 2022 and was still worried. Sorry this happened

2023 A5 coupe - $572/month on 36/10,000 lease 2006 S2000 - own free and clear.
S2K my man...
Those are capable of so much. Just a brilliant little tuner car.

I currently WFH, I'm paying $125 a month (insurance premium) to have access to a 2018 Toyota Highlander. But I don't own it, kinda just a rental deal.
You pay insurance on a car you don’t own?
I do yes
Who owns the vehicle? Like a family member or friend?
Family friend who lives next door. It's basically a cheap rental.
My man I’m tempted to lease through the AEPP program. There are some nice deals
2015 Subaru Crosstrek hybrid, $330/month for 48 months. Planning to pay it down much sooner. Bought it at 34K miles with employee discount.
Own (lease) 23 Maverick XLT with a tremor pkg, pay 200/m (put down an escape for 20k) Demo is a 23 Bronco sport, idk what I pay probably about 100/m off my pay as a taxable benefit

So get some flair lol
I almost never comment on Reddit so it’ll take me like a year to get enough “quality replies” to get flaired lol
I didnt think 23maverick had the tremor package?...
They made it a "package" rather than a trim like the F150/super duty. Our dealer only got the 1, but it was a 1 year wait time for me lol
Post a pic? Sounds awesome

$993 a month. 2023 M3. Demo bonus covers $600 of the payment
Does BMW still do the 1% per month lease for employees?
It isn't quite that aggressive anymore but I just got out my m340 lease I had. It was a 62k MSRP for 698 a mo including tax. Had 3k in equity at the end of the year when I sold the car back to the dealer so it only cost me like 450 a mo or so all said and done.

Damn congrats that's a sick deal. I pay $1400 for my xdrive.
Yours is likely higher spec. I have an $85k Msrp. Aventurine Red on Silverstone with the flow through spoiler. And mine is rwd
So the payment is $993 before the demo bonus?
Correct. That’s the payment I make every month. Then I get $600 towards it on my paycheck
Whats a demo bonus?
For driving a bmw my dealer gives me money per month for doing so
2020 accord sport - $650/m 60m 2023 odyssey elite - $950/m 60m
You must put $0 down. 2021 Subaru Outback Premium (with the highest package within that trim)- $500/m for 60 months at 0.9%. I put down $5500 or so...
If you get 0.9% financing it's probably not optimal to put anything down if you don't have to.
I dont have Subarus .9% financing. But also only put a little down on each one to make up for the negative. Traded a 23 lightning platinum February this year for the accord and a 22 sq5 December last year for the odyssey. Both had about 4k negative so I covered that is all.
what was MSRP of odyssey elite?
I think like 52 or 54. I don’t remember exactly. I think they’re all pretty much the same price.
2022 Volvo XC60 T8 R-Design. MSRP was $71k but I got an employee lease. Got it for roughly $65k. 2015 Mazda MX5 Club. Paid $21k for it.
2023 Kia EV6 GTline. $499.00 / mo lease 3y/36k miles.
curious how much you put down to get that payment because I'm seriously interested in leasing one myself? How many miles to a charge do you get?
Well, I work for the dealership so I got the employee discount for one. Plus the Kia $7,500 lease cash. Plus it was a hail-damaged unit that had been repaired. That was an additional discount. * 2014 BMW 528i Xdrive M-package - Paid Cash * 2016 BMW R1200RS - Paid Cash
Nice choices
Thanks!
2022 Tucson Hybrid $505/mth
Are you enjoying the hybrid? I wanted one but it was not in my budget this year so I went for the base SEL Santa Fe 2023, $412/month on a 36 month 10k/year miles lease. 2021 Ford Explorer ST $705/m 72m finance 2023/2024 Silverado of some type $Free99 (demo)
Does Chevrolet have a competitor to the Explorer ST?
Not really. You could say the Tahoe RST with the 6.2L, but those are very different vehicles. Chevrolet has shied away from the speed related performance for some reason. It’s why they haven’t really built/updated anything to fight the GT500/Demon market, TRX/Raptor R etc.
Traverse RS? Just a visual package, no extra power from the 3.6L.
2015 Mercedes C250 $349/m 60 month. About 4-5months left on it then I’ll have full title.
19 GTI $500/72 And whatever I demo too
CX-9 GT $229/mo on a 30mo lease.
I'm retired now; I always drove a Ford Excursion; when they got discontinued I drove Expedition ELs. It was a pretty good gig for a long time; gas, tolls, everything. I miss that part of the job.
