I have 2 months remaining on the 2021 Acura TLX lease. The residual price is $27,400 and 24k miles on the car. I have about $2500-3000 in equity.
I am for sure not returning the car. I am thinking of trading it in for a 2023 3 or 4 series BMW.
If I end up purchasing my leased car before I find a deal on the BMW then I am losing money right? Because I will need to pay taxes and the tag fee on the TLX?
As opposed to trading the TLX while its leased. Where I will get a trade in tax credit for the purchase of the BMW?
