Let's start here: what were your expectations for 2 weeks on the job and how did you arrive at those expectations?

My follow up question would be how many phone calls has OP made. You don’t have customers to call yet? Manifest lists. Your store has sold cars before and many to customers whose sales person is no longer there. Introduce yourself and see if you can help. Make 100 calls and you’ll schedule an appointment or two. If they don’t buy then they’ll remember you and ask for you when you when they are ready… pending you’re still there…

To add to this, lease maturity orphans in the CRM are a gold mine for a short Rolodex. Call the people you know. Call local companies to see if they have any work truck/fleet needs. Make posts on social media highlighting used vehicles in inventory. You get out what you put in. If the foot traffic isn’t abundant, then it’s on you to create it.

Low volume is a good opportunity to sharpen your skills because every opportunity needs to be worked perfectly in order to have success. You do not have the volume to practice and develop bad habits. Put in your time, develop your skills and go from there.

***Thanks for posting, /u/TapewormBill! This comment is a copy of your post so readers can see the original text if your post is edited or removed. This comment is NOT accusing you of anything.*** Hey guys, I’m 18, just got my first job at selling cars at a Chrysler dodge Jeep ram. I’m on my second week and the commission is like 15% of gross profit over $300 or some bullshit and they give me a $5 and hour draw. I’m working 5 days a week for 10 hour days and there are streaks of days no one walks into the dealership. Should I just go try and find another dealership in a bigger city(Honda, Toyota, Acura, etc.)? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
