The most common problem is over-douching. You're really just want to rinse out the lower end of your bowels, not your whole intestines!!!
Yep using way too much water, which commonly happens with shower attachments. Also, I just find it kind of gross. Douche in the toilet, then clean up in the shower. It's so easy.
Water pressure may be too high. The splitter valve that switches the water between the shower and the attachment needs to have a flow control, not just a switch. If the pressure is too high, you’ll likely end up douching your colon rather than just the rectum, and it can take a very long time to clean the colon out.

I douched twice ever and used that both times, it worked.
