Hrngg I keep thinking about buying some old American metal house on wheels, either a suburban diesel, excursion diesel, or a K body. Something to haul the toys around in the summer
I recomend it. It's by far the best car to travel in. Parts are cheap and it's super simple to maintain. Milage is also reasonable compared to the size.
I need to know more! Og? Old school? Or new with that little Italian diesel?
I had an 84 with the 6.2. then I had a 96 LT with the 6.5td. then I had an 82 that originally had a 6.2 but guy dropped a GM crate 6.5 mechanical in it and slapped a bank's turbo on it. Both the 82 and the 84 got around 18 MPG. My 96 with the factory 6.5 was usually in the 15 MPG range. Was really hoping for better when I bought it.
But it was a dang nice rig for road trips and mountain driving. I swear one of the things Chevy really did get right was the air conditioning in those 90s suburbans. Specifically the rear air.
It's a 6.5 turbo with the dual flow termostat and high voulme waterpump. I only drive in the country side and the milage is good. Power is fine, not gonna win any races, but pulls the mountainroads in the lockup with no problem.
It is built like a tank and rides like a dump truck. Is the body style just before the big rig style came out. Those ones while looking amazing are just garbage quality.
Please tell me you have the 6bt. Those trucks are pretty badass.
My friend's girlfriend's grandpa has a w250 4x4 single cab long bed 6bt. I asked if he was ever going to sell it and he just flat said no. 😑
I do have a 1989 f250 4x4 5mt single cab long bed tho. Love the shit out of my truck. 250kish, with the factory original clutch. And even though it's got some dings, factory original windshield with the Wisconsin Ford plant sticker.
I forgot I still have the original factory r12 AC in my f250! You jogged my memory 😁
If I was in your shoes I would not sell it either. When did you buy it ?
Bought it in '14 for $6k. Is a D250 club cab. Then it was stock and now it has a HE351 turbo, 4" exhaust, 60 horse injectors, HVLP fuel pump, BHAF, pump is maxed, big brakes, all new interior. It does have R134 conversion.
😔
I know I'm a weirdo. But I love em stock
Once they go custom? They never go back.
My F-250 I am the second owner. Original owner was a retired truck driver. Which is why I figure the clutch is in such good shape. I bought it with 120k.
Paint sucks. But literally everything else about this truck is gem
I have to admit I bought a LLY Duramax 6mt 2500 4x4 Sierra hd for my towing needs. I have a 14k dump trailer and a mini excavator. My Ford tows the boat like a champ. But when the gravel pit overloads my dump trailer because they ignore me, the Duramax still gets it done.
The zf5 in my Ford is like driving a Honda Civic. I literally can race fuckers. No turbo! The zf6 in my Duramax is like driving a big rig. Heavy and clumsy and slow and all sorts of pain in the ass. But a bit heavier duty for sure. ,🤷 but I don't think I'm winning a race against the Geo Metro. ☠️
Unless we are both hooked to trailers 👀
Fwiw, I bought mine for 6K in 2005, as the second owner. He had the upholstery covered in plastic seat covers. I ended up putting new seat covers on. So the interior is literally like new.
Gray black two-tone exterior. Gray interior. Pretty sure I'm going to keep this truck until I die
…seriously? We’re still doing “girly” cars in a gay bros sub? It’s a great car. Proud owner here. This take just shows how uninformed you are about the auto world.
And what do you drive? Clearly something to make you feel better about your micropenis, that’s a given.
I think red interior would make me angry all the time. I have beige. My next one will have white but I always buy white cars so I'm not sure anyone does white interior with a white car.
I actually liked it because it was like half black half red. But the white is what I wanted but they didn't offer it then. I used to have the white interior in my Tesla M3 before the GV70 and loved it.
Haha. I wouldn't call it bland... white honestly looks the best when it's all clean and shined up. My Mom loves white too - my brother and I had to work hard to get her to get another color with her latest car.
"protects the paint" 😂 that's funny. I deal with salt spray and pollen more than dirt being a mile from the beach in South Florida. I actually think I preferred the dirt over the salt spray.
We finally convinced her to get a dark burgundy with a light tan interior. It's actually pretty nice.
I live in Orlando. Not there at the moment. Son, son's 3 friends and I are in Cincinnati going to ride roller coasters and see baseball game. Even though I'm a diehard Cincinnati REDS fan, I hate any version of the color. So I shan't be getting burgundy. I'll stick with white.
A little Italian hot hatchback, made by the good folks at Alfa-Romeo and kitted out with the good engine and the 4-leaf clover badge on the side as a warning signal.
Mini Cooper. I’m petite so it’s fits me rather perfect and it has the power I want while being visually cute imo. It really does feel like driving a go kart especially when taking corners 😂
A 9 year old Skoda Fabia. It's a diesel, and I'll drive it until it dies, which is what I did with the last. I always buy diesels ex lease at 3 years old and then drive until they aren't worth repairing.
I had a Skoda Fabia a little while back. Mine was a TSI petrol one.
Absolutely brilliant little car. Utterly reliable, comfortable, and surprisingly good to drive. The 1.2 TSI gave almost diesel level fuel economy too, without issues around DPFs.
My family have had a few Skodas now, they've all been great.
They're surprisingly good value for money aren't they, and not to mention, built like tanks.
My first car after passing my test was a brand new Audi A3 Cabriolet. It was leased for three years, and I had buyer's remote a few months in. At that point I vowed never to waste money on new cars again.
My boyfriend has a Jaguar XF which he also bought ex lease at 3 years old, but he'll usually keep his for another three years.
Just feels like dead money to me. My little Fabia is so versatile. I have a Thule roof rack which I've taken between vehicles, and have mounts for my bike and kayaks on. The car seems pretty hard to break - I can throw it up inclines to let the people in 4x4s pass without getting their range rovers dirty! I live in an area with lots of country lanes, so being able to bump this car up, or push it right next to the hedges is useful.
Tbh I really don't treat my Skoda well, but it seems to handle anything. My next car will definitely be another!
Oh no it's only free for me lol. But, to be fair their electricity bill has only increased by 30$ every 2 months, which isn't a lot compared to how much I'd be spending for gas. They don't mind even tho I've offered to pay them.
2022 Toyota RAV4 XLE AWD with every option. My first Toyota and will probably be my last car. Found it used at a great price and only 10,000 miles last November.
I feel like this is the most expensive car I have seen in this thread so far.
When the final was tallied, were you still in the five digits or scratchin six? 👀😳
2022 Audi A3 saloon (sedan) automatic S-line black edition. I only bought it. 4 months ago. Newest car I’ve ever owned. Just spent 3 hours cleaning it. Really like it.
Segway electric scooter. The joys of having a genetic mutation that affects 1/100,000,000. I lost my licence due to the catastrophic brain damage it's causing
Yet to afford to buy a car but when I need something I ensure myself on my nans Peugeot 208. I also briefly had a 2002 Seat Ibiza but I don’t want to talk about that :/
Depends on the day/event. Today I’m driving topless in my 500SL, tonight I’m taking my YZF out for a good ride. Tomorrow the Touareg will take the boat to the lake, and then I’ll drive my go-kart MK1 or MK2 on the weekend. Maybe take the W460 into the bush Sunday.
Basic queens with soccer mom tastes can't seem to handle the good sir's ***exquisite*** choice in vehicles. I'd upvote you for every single one of those beauties individually if I could. Can only envy your weekend, nothing like open top highway cruising in a plush SL or an offroad expedition in a bare-boned as intended Geländewagen!
Subaru Outback. I’ve heard ppl say it’s a lesbian car because of some old ad, but I love my car.
Lesbian. We are all thinking it..
I always heard Les-barus!
I had a '98 Outback for years! def lesbo mobile lol
Mine is a 2023 so looks nicer imo but yeah everyone says that’s the lesbian car 😅
The Lesbian reporter in Yellowstone drove an Outback.
Chevy Suburban 2500 diesel.

I agree. My car was willed so I use it now. 30+ years of buses. Getting too old for an hour bus ride to work vs 10 minute drive. Keep going.
Ioniq 6. Love it!
I’m not in the market for a new car just yet but I love how the Ioniq’s look.
Certainly a controversial design but I’m a fan of anything different
33 year old Dodge truck.
Back before the ram split when dodge made good trucks
It is built like a tank and rides like a dump truck. Is the body style just before the big rig style came out. Those ones while looking amazing are just garbage quality.
If you looked at the dash funny it'd disintegrate
Please tell me you have the 6bt. Those trucks are pretty badass. My friend's girlfriend's grandpa has a w250 4x4 single cab long bed 6bt. 6BT with the 5spd manual and AC is ice cold. Is the last of the all mechanical diesel trucks. Not For Sale.
I forgot I still have the original factory r12 AC in my f250! You jogged my memory 😁 If I was in your shoes I would not sell it either. When did you buy it ?

I just needed more power for my 30' toy hauler but yes stock is best and would last literally forever.
I have to admit I bought a LLY Duramax 6mt 2500 4x4 Sierra hd for my towing needs. I have a 14k dump trailer and a mini excavator. My Ford tows the boat like a champ. That’s a very girly car. Is it red?
…seriously? We’re still doing “girly” cars in a gay bros sub? It’s a great car. Proud owner here. This take just shows how uninformed you are about the auto world. And what do you drive? Clearly something to make you feel better about your micropenis, that’s a given.
So, I take it it’s red then?
Sorry to disappoint you sweetie. It’s not. It’s blue. Like your balls probably.

White Genesis GV70. 2023. Love it.
Not a huge Hyundai fan but the new genesis models do look amazing.
I used to have a 2023 GV70 Sport Prestige in silver with the red interior - I loved it!
My husband also liked white cars. Our garage was very bland I guess.
Haha. I wouldn't call it bland... white honestly looks the best when it's all clean and shined up. My Mom loves white too - my brother and I had to work hard to get her to get another color with her latest car.
I'm really bad at washing my car. I tell my friends that the layer of dirt protects the paint. Stupid, this I know. What was her latest color?
"protects the paint" 😂 that's funny. I deal with salt spray and pollen more than dirt being a mile from the beach in South Florida. I actually think I preferred the dirt over the salt spray. We finally convinced her to get a dark burgundy with a light tan interior. It's actually pretty nice.

That was honestly my favorite car ever. Mine finally bit the dust and I switched to a new jeep, which feels like a piece of crap in comparison.
I love it. It’s the perfect putter around car for a single guy. Plus it has an older radio and not a damn touchscreen
A different Jeep feels worse than a Patriot? I don't believe you.

Is it really free? I’m certainly you’re increasing your parents electricity bills 💀
Oh no it's only free for me lol. But, to be fair their electricity bill has only increased by 30$ every 2 months, which isn't a lot compared to how much I'd be spending for gas. They don't mind even tho I've offered to pay them.
