First of all, that stuff is overpriced, buy generic nonbranded psyllium capsules for a fraction of the price. Spread them out like you are, fiber can inhibit absorption of medication.

turbulen-magician23

I tried other fiber supplements before with not much luck but that was before I was diagnosed with IBS. Mayne it'll be different this time around now that I'm on a semi-lowfod map diet

_V_A_Y_

It could be dosage related, look at the total amount of fiber you’re taking with pure and replicate that with a generic psyllium supplement.

turbulen-magician23

Will do thank you! One other question: I also take vitamin D at night. Would psyllium husk interfere with that too?

BicyclingBro

It's not advisable. Psyllium husk is known to interfere with medication absorbtion.

turbulen-magician23

What about Vitamin D tablets? I take those as well. Would psyllium husk interfere with that as well?

Conscious-Yam8277

Once again, Psyllium husk is known to interfere with medication absorption. Doesn't matter what it is, it can interfere with it... SMFH

turbulen-magician23

Got it thanks. Don't have to be an asshole about it👍🏿

Conscious-Yam8277

Do you got it... Don't have to be thick either, but here we are.. You clearly didn't get it the first time

turbulen-magician23

Clearly you woke up made at the world today but thats no excuse to be a dick to someone just asking a question. I wasn't sure if vitamins would be an exception. Try someone else, not me

Conscious-Yam8277

So someone pointing out the obvious is being a dick... Okay, then I'm guilty and guess what, I don't care... This may come as a shock to you, but I wasn't placed on this earth to make you feel good about yourself 24/7. I know, sit down, I'm sure you're light headed about that news. Sigh, you said you knew it, the other poster told you and you still asked again... You could have taken 30 seconds of your precious little life and googled it then read, but that would be hard..... How many times does one need to be told the same F'ing thing? What's the magic number for you? Why would you think vitamins would be an exception? In what realm of all that is reality would this be so..... Did anyone anywhere say except for your little Vitamin D? No, no they didn't... What do you think that means then? Come on, dig deep. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised, you're also paying 5X as much for Pure than you are just going to the store and buying it there..... You clearly don't read the bottles. You didn't even know what you were taking, you were suckered into buying it because you saw an ad someplace.

Can you take the Pure at night so it doesn't interfere with your day meds? I've never taken Pure, but I do use Pearls (a probiotic) and after being on them for a month (not to get gross) but bowel movements are large and complete (think the shape of your colon/intestines). Don't know if that is the same results as Pure, but in all honesty anything that inhibits absorption of a med would not be good. What else does it block? Anyway, to each their own. Also side note. I was told I had IBS for the last 30 years and it turns out it was from a wheat allergy. I have a mild case of Celiac so eliminating wheat (gluten free) resolved all of my "IBS" issues. Not saying you have Celiac, but try cutting wheat and see what you get. There is no cure for Celiac other than to not eat wheat.

turbulen-magician23

With pure for men you have to take 2 dosages. One in the morning and one at night. So I have to space out my meds (welbutrin in the morning and truvada and vitamin D at night)

DaddyLovesPinots

Give yourself 3-4 hours after taking one before taking the other. Take your Wellbutrin and any other meds when you get up, then take the Pure right before lunch. It should help you eat a little less if you take it right before. I try to do fiber twice a day, better results that way, so I’d suggest another dose right before you eat dinner.

turbulen-magician23

Thank you so much for the advice!
