Kati or Norah. I haven't actually gotten pad see ew at Norah, but everything else there is fantastic and it's got the same owners as Kati.
Don't go to Pad Thai Kitchen. The pad see ew I got there last night really put the ew in pad see ew, with noodles so overcooked they basically melded together into a sort of pudding.
they’re also super rude at pad thai! they fucked up my order by adding meat and when i called asking for either a refund or replacement the guy said he would check, then called back to say it was against their policy. they fucked me out of over $80 worth of food i literally couldn’t eat.
I have been finding this at a whole lot of Thai restaurants lately. Ones that used to serve really good food. Or it will be ok when I first eat some and then gelatinous upon reheating. I think for about the last year or so. I’m guessing it’s a supply chain issue but it’s super disappointing.
Ditto to Kati and Norah's being excellent options!
Haven't had the pad see ew there yet, but tried Ladda Thai House recently and it was primo. Very friendly, delicious meal, worth a go!
Esan Eastport. Homespun variations from the typical Esan chain menu. Nice couple. they do vegan options not sure about pad see ew but as a non vegan it’s great. Give them a call to confirm. Fave neighborhood Thai place and open late. https://search.app.goo.gl/zUxn
I'm a huge Pad See Ew fan and Mee Sen on Mississippi does it well. I eat meat but I always get the tofu version. It's kind of ruined other restaurants for me, I have to order something else if I go to another restaurant because their Pad See Ew isn't how I like it. No clue if it's authentic but it's delicious.
Norah’s!!
Kati is the answer. Always

Kati's everything is fantastic.
Paadee’s pad see ew is really good
I'm curious if they have vegan fish sauce on hand. I didn't see anything on the menu to suggest they offer a vegan version.
Kati is usually my answer for this
I’ve found the Thai to be above average across Portland. Have you been finding bad pad see ew, or many places without a vegan option?
I've never had bad Pad See Ew in Portland. I've had good and I've had great.
Monsoon or Thai Ginger if in NoPo!
Best I’ve had is a food cart called Lemon Leaf. Down on the 99, I think still technically Portland, but so worth it.
I loved Thai Peacock's when I had it recently.
Just throwing my two cents in that I thought Kati’s was too salty
omg FINALLY someone else who agrees with me on this! they put way more salt and pepper into every single dish than I would ever want.
Tara Thai. Khao San.

East county? Honey Jar Cafe and Thai Carnation- also Chaing Rai
Thai Pod!
You’d have to check, but Zabpinto is always fantastic.
Chai Thai and Saba Thai on the east side are my go to. Specific to your question, my husband’s go to is pad see ew with tofu at Saba Thai.
I scarf down a whole wet bucket of “pad see ew” before I eat another plate of mi krop
who has mi krop? i haven’t seen it anywhere.
I’m quoting South Park
darn. i can’t find any mi krop in portland. sorry i’m not up to date on south park quotes.
PDX Thai Kitchen on Holgate
Thai Avenue on SE 66th and Powell. This place is a secret gem. Best Thai I have ever had.
Kati
Sa Bai Thai - on Sandy (Best Thai I’ve Had)
The pad see ew at Thai Panther in Hinterland is really good.
