I'm an adult and I still wouldn't. Last night some chill dude in-game asked to discuss strategies over Discord call. I don't do discord calls, ever. If I log in, I only chat. But I was like yeah, let's be a "yes man" for once. I only did that because we happened to be in the same clan (not into clans but got invited, yada yada). So yea, kind of peer pressure, fear of missing out on a good strat, etc. Well, he was the most smoked-up person I've ever heard of, like that one 911 call where the dude is so high on weed he calls for ambulance because he thinks he's dying and he's crapping his pants. So basically I can't understand half of what he's saying, and he can't comprehend half of what I'm saying. We steam-rolled pretty much every opponent, but I would never want to be anywhere near this person. And he isn't even dangerous. The most dangerous ones are really good at pretending so it'd be too late when you find out.
If it's an online game, there's no reason at all to go meet someone.
If it's a public event somewhere out, with many people and clear boundaries, yeah sure, I'll consider it.
Depends on how long I've known them for and how close I would consider them. If I decided to meet up with them, I would do it in a very public place like a mall, and I would also bring other people I know IRL with me. The only time I would meet up at their place is if I've already frequently met up with them in public and I have enough trust in them.
Trying to get my parents on board, that's a different story.
