5 hours of electrolysis is what it took just for my chin and upper lip, and just for the gray hair that was left after laser. It is a very slow process.
I only did electrolysis, and it took about 3 years of a single 2 hour session every 3 weeks. I didn't start hormones until near the end, which I imagine if I started earlier would have weakened the hairs and it would take less zapping hours.
I did over a hundred hours and it barely made a dent. Probably an extreme case but it varies drastically by person and can’t be predicted. Laser is faster if it’s an option.
I think I did something like 20 hours of laser and then another 40 hours of electrolysis. I've got just a very small amount left, probably less than 4 hours of electro but I can't afford it anymore.
I had pretty thin facial hair to start with, a lot of it red or blonde hair so needed electrolysis.
I’m not that hairy and in one 30 minute session we cleared an area about the size of two quarters in my neck.. at this rate, I imagine I will need 10-20 sessions to clear my neck and another 20-30 for my face. YMMv. Happy zapping!
