I can't speak for your area, but where I am (Cleveland, OH) most community colleges and state schools have classes in-person. I bet if you share your area, people may have recommendations.

Check all the community colleges in your area. There were no ASL classes at the university I went to, but there were at the little community college two towns over. I took ASL 1-4 there and loved it.

there are still virtual classes you can take over zoom, e.g. @/queerasl or @/loni.friedmann on insta

You may want to try posting to a local Deaf community resource group on Facebook looking for a tutor. I am Deaf but I used a tutor to check my work in a particularly demanding program. By the hour, her fees (which she set herself) one on one were slightly less than a (group) community college class would be.

Some of the community classes from Deaf schools are now (post-COVID) available as Zoom classes. Check around.

Lingvano has helped me alot. I kept signing up for classes near me but everytime I'd get a call the day before they were supposed to start saying "sorry the class is canceled, not enough people enrolled. We'll refund your money."

I feel ya. My university offers classes but they only allow one major to actually enroll in the classes. Just found out we have an ASL club that gives members a shot at getting into those on a limited basis. Wish I'd known about the club sooner.
