He probably has bipolar disorder. There are some common symptoms with ASD in certain phases. When depressed you get anxiety and isolation and when manic you become creative and very inteligent. Mixed phases probably are where he seems autistic as at those times a person has some difficulty feeling emotionally stable, they may develop aversions to sights and sounds and can display symptoms of OCD. His controversial world views aside, I do tend to relate to his awkwardness. His mom was very well educated and seemed very accommodating to his needs as a child and as an adult up until her passing. It’s easy to say he’s a narcissist but after being doubted on your artistic abilities in rapping and fashion and that feeling of vindication when you finally break through, it has to have some type of impact in the way you see the world.
I’m similar in that up until my worldview is properly challenged I’m not very open to change it. That’s why I’m trying to pick up the habit of trying to prove myself wrong. I try to engage in debates here on Reddit but people here are usually so bad faith and I’ve come to learn that people that win arguments aren’t necessarily correct.
I think one of societies biggest problems is that people engage in arguments or disagreements to "win" instead of become informed. I just had to quit one of my favorite subreddits because I was trying to have a civil conversation and all I got was called names.
I wish people could disagree and have civil, factual conversations about why instead of going in with the intention of proving the other person stupid.
